Ordered a wrap that was £3.49 and later on I saw on my Apple Pay I was charged £5… Very upset.

Checkin was pink and little pupil chips was nice do not like

I went here after a long time as last time food was very disappointing but this time there was a big improvement we had half chicken with chips and drink and a peri peri burger meal both were on offers we had both mild and the chicken was very juicy and soft, only downside with the meals they don't give you chilli and garlic sauce instead just give you ketchup sachets apart from this everything was nice

The guy doing wraps messed my order. Order machine does'nt have sauce choice for wraps and when asked him about sauce , he re-opend the wraps and put a blotch of hot sauce on the wrap. I asked him should'nt you be cooking this with sauce on , he said no this is how we do it !!!. When I brought meal home, my son was so disappointed as the entire wrap was under cooked and disgusting. Also this meal is supposed to have two fries , we were given one and that is also half filled. Worst of all ,found a hair in the wrap as well. Disappointing and money wasted.

It's actually a shame used to love this place order all the time, your buffalo thigh burger and the hot wings are still mine and my partners favourite thing to eat, however you charge £3.69 for piri fries and the portion is just ridiculous I wouldn't even call it a small amount of chips we asked for more in the bag and you still sent the same amount knowing full well we are very regular customers who spend £35/£40 each order... on top of that I really wish you'd pack things a bit differently each time I've ordered I've always had cold food as you put the burgers on top of the cold cakes, or even better yet you put a cold drink on top of hot food, it's a shame but I don't think I'll be ordering again.

I used to like Roosters but the quality has been reduced in all senses! They have reduced the size of their meal and increased the price! The burgers don't taste as it used to! We were with kids and ask for an additional disposable paper cup and they said they can't give an additional one! If they want to survive in this business climate, they really need to change how they serve their customer and what they provide (this was far too expensive for what they give and how they treat you)!

Very small space to eat inside but still seats and table were available for 4 people. Service and food was good.

Service was extreme slow. I was the only customer in there yet 3 staff were talking to each other n took 17 minutes to prepare my food.

My son came in to get some food after his basketball game today, and he was treated with such a kindness and respect! Staff was very friendly to him, best feedback from one happy teenager! He loved food he got! Thank you thank you thank you Kindness always wins :)

Thanks for selling coal black chicken fully burned. You don't know BBQ, don't know tender well cooking flame. Stop making people cancer. Better for you to quit from job and go into mining charcoal business. But I don't think you can also make easy money from there anymore as it is not sustainable anymore due to fossil fuels not demanded anymore. Otherwise I would advise you to produce electric from burning chickens

This place is number one ripp off in Reading town centre unreasonable price for muffin size burger and £1.79 for can of soft drink is a joke and very expensive I would definitely avoid this day light robery take away

They call their mashed up burger meat "premium beef strips" 😅

Without a doubt the best Piri Piri sauce in town. The wrap was delicious complimented by their chilli sauce. Great strips. Oh and the fries were great 👍🏽 - Definitely recommend if you're around in the Reading area. And a shout out to Faizan, service was swift, friendly and polite.

Awful, the order from deliveroo hasn't arrived despite the status being update to delivered. Called restaurant and they told us to wait and call back. Called several times over the space of 40 minutes from two different numbers and there was no answer.

Great service as usual with fantastic food yes you have to wait a while but the wait is it worth it

Very bad customer service, I placed an order and was told to pay for the a tiny tub of sauce, and was told the boss does not care about customer service! On another occasion I ordered a delivery and half the order was delivered. When I called up there was no apology what so ever!

Roosters used to be great. Since the last time I went a couple of years ago. They have over doubled the price and the quality of the food is substantially worse. Instead of using chicken breast in their pitas they now use "mini fillets" which all had the tendon running through the middle of all of them as well as other chewy sinew. Garlic mayo replaced by garlic mush that just overpowers everything and the chips were almost hollow from over cooking. Paid £20 for two pita meals of which I threw 2/3s of mine in the bin. Avoid.

Very long waiting time even though there are no customers... Also tried the falafel and never again.

I asked for two halloumi wraps as I’m a vegetarian and they gave me two chicken wraps instead. Then when I called them about it they tried to blame me and said they asked me twice when they did not and NOT ONCE did chicken ever come up in that conversation. Unfortunately, I couldn’t even go back to rectify their mistake as I was on the train home by the time I realised. Don’t bother going here, would give them 0 stars if I could. It’s one thing to make a mistake but to try and blame the customer for it is ridiculous! Will not be going here again.

Worst service ever tiny restaurant waiting time ridiculous

I always get my lunch or dinner from this place. Is something incredible! The food is really lovely, I never get enough. I've had tried many roosters or peri peri food, this one beat them all!! I think is the best roosters in town. The only advice I can give them is to improve a little bit the customer service. Thank you for the amazing food.

Unmanned staff, no common sense, extreamly backwards and slow & rude, no people skills or customer services. Also hygiene issues, no gloves or any PPE Food itself was OK but with bad customer service like that I definitely would not be going back.

A true Nando's competitor has finally arrived and might I confidently say even better than them. Reasonable price, good quality food and portions. Thoroughly enjoyed the flavour packed into the peri peri whole chicken, chips and rice!!! Keep up the quality and you'll go far!

Right I have been reading a lot of reviews and I have my own opinion as well as respect everyone else's? I believe the customer service is ok may be slow but they are cooking the chicken again what does take time and gives it the flavour. Best option is to go inside and order it not delivered? You want good cooked food then always compliment them by saying good things about their quality and I am sure they will give you what you require.

Got some takeout. Food was nice, I had lamb burger and halloumi with sweet potato fries. The staff was nice, but the shop was quite empty and I didn't mind waiting. I chose lemon and herb seasoning as I don't like spicy food but sadly it seems the paty has chilli in in anyway. It wasn't bad but the seasoning may not be for me.

Bought 2 peri peri burger and the chicken testes like it was cooked one day before.

I placed an order today and arrived to collect. On arrival I noticed the staff member at the rear with him hand down his trousers having a good old scratch. Once he finished doing his deed he carried on preparing orders. I complained and was he just smiled and spoke to his colleague in a foreign language. I did not collect my order. Extremely unprofessional staff no regards to hygiene keep away.

came in today and collected a £48 order. food was average/good quality however service was very bad. waited almost 45mins for a order i had phoned in advance. i ordered 3 meals and a single platter and appetizers. they gave me the correct food however only 1 can of coke for the 3 meals. charged me for the meals . i asked for some chilli sauce and garlic and was told had to pay for garlic but then gave me 2 garlic dips. i regularly order out this was a special occasion should have gone to manzanoes or the branch in cemetery junction . this place has had new ownership recently and this the 2nd time they have messed my order up so decided to post review and suggest alternatives as plenty of nice chicken shops in the area Nandos is slightly more but worth it u get good service and food

Ordered via Deliveroo the burger was excellent, the chicken strips were excellent, the grilled halloumi however tasted like plastic, and they put way too much piri piri powder on the fries, I feel like this place could be great, they just need to spend a little more time making certain parts of their menu better

I rang them to see where my order was and they said to contact just eat but yet they told me to contact the restaurant I would never get a delivery from there again took way over an HR for delivery !!!!!

Tried the chicken wrap recently. They had better wraps some time ago... Still okay for a quick takeaway.

I always had great experiences with these guys, only delivering, but boy the food is fresh and tasty

So so so disappointed. This was only our 2nd time ordering from them. The delivery came minus the chicken burger we had ordered. I called the store and was told that they remember making it and that it must be there. So basically they were calling me a lier! She told me I would have to wait an hour for it to be redelivered. She then told me she would call me back to have the money refunded. Never happened! I emailed the company and have still not received a reply. Will never order from them again

I ordered and paid. I waited for my food over 3 hours, and had to cancel my order. I now started to cook dinner for my family, and it's almost 10PM. When I ordered the promised delivery time was 35-45 minutes. Very dissapointed.

I was pleasantly surprised by how crunchy and light the fires were And I also had a chicken wrap with Lebanese sauce and it was amazing I am definitely going to order from here next time

Tried other roosters, they are a waste of time for taste. Reading branch is spot on the chicken is cooked perfectly with the right spices. The chips are great and the salad. 5 star for quality in this branch only. Come from Slough to Reading for this branch.

These are the guys they sell proper chicken wings. Food is great so is the service. I highly recommend them.

Have often eaten there, good piri piri food, tastes better than Nando's, and that's saying something.

The food was excellent, it was nice and hot and cooked to a very high standard also the customer service was excellent very polite and cheerful driver. I fully recommend.

Disappointed - guy at the till mumbled so much I had to ask him to repeat himself 3 times. Chicken wrap was good even though my order was wrong. In fairness i was offered a replacement. The fries were gluten free - good for those who need it but shouldn’t you offer a choice ?

Waited over 30 minutes for my food, then as i got home and unwrapped it, found a bug in my burger. Don't come here.

The food was delicious and full of flavour absolutely beautiful

would give 0 if possible. Ordered through just eat was given 45 min wait time, this was then upped to an 1hr 15. Over 2 hours after ordering rang and was told they had no drivers and it wasn't their fault. They claimed just eat sort out the drivers. This is a lie (just eat confirmed this to be a lie), over 2 and half hours later managed to get a refund through just eat. We couldn't cancel directly through the app as they had put the food as being out for delivery after an hour, again they claimed this on just eat. Do not order from the restaurant

Good decent takeaway! One downside is that little pricey and they do not offer drinks with their meals.

Do not use them. I never received my order and did not receive a refund. Were unhelpful on the phone, awful business spend your money elsewhere.

We ordered Chicken Wrap, Chicken Burger and 1/2 Chicken lemon & herb flavour with peri Fries Garlic mayonnaise a must!!!!!! Lip Licking Luscious meal enjoyed every bite was reasonably busy got our meal in good time and excellent service..... Well deserved 5 Stars.

Ordered twice in 2 days burgers very dry it took very long to prepare the order, on second occasion I told the guy at the counter the burgers were dry last time however the the burger was still dry it looks like they don't care about service or customer loyalty. No value for the money you pay.

We ordered two mega platter meals for collection. When we checked the food at home there were two chickens not given to us !! We had to wait three hours to deliver it. Needs a wash basin for dine in.

Use to come from 9 years.Very expensive now. Now you Wont get any thing with main meal no souce no drink no bread have to pay separate for each thing.Chicken was good .but service specially male staff is so rude. Confusing Manu. Will not visit again.

Used to be aaaamazing before they refurbished, now it's not so great - staff isn't always very friendly and the prices have gone up quite a lot as well (basically, it's not worth it anymore).

Unfortunately although this place used to be great it has now become obsessed with deliveroo meaning it used to be quality food ready quickly it is now mediocre food delivered slowly. Do not visit if you want good fast food.

Food tastes amazing everytime and that has too take the lime light! The shop gets quite busy at times and therefore wait times can be quiet long. I was left waiting for 45mins for my meal, whilst at least 10 other customers came in after me yet got their food before me. Still I would recommend.

You put Coke cans for £1.29. I can get a litre bottle for that much. Also you’ve reduced the amount of fries per side. Your not a fancy overpriced restaurant. Change these things!!!

Delicious spicy chicken treats served by nice people.

We'd come to reading for a gig, and looked for a wetherspoons which was jam packed and full to the brim, as was the kfc.during our expedition round the city, we had noticed two burger/chicken joints and decided to go back to one of these, bizzarrely we entered the wrong one, but checked the menu and spoke to the friendlygirl on the front desk, orderd some piri piri chicken which was presented on a slate plate. Nice presentation and very tasty before the show, I wouldn't hesitate to use this straightforward tasty food emporium again.when we entered it was quiet, but got steadily busier whilst eating our top notch nosh. It performed beyond its modest look. Worth a visit and reasonably cheap

The food here is very similar to Nandos. Food is cooked fresh in front of you, and contrary to Nandos, if you order hot it really is spicy. The prices are extremely cheap, fine dining this is not, but you can eat loads for a fiver, not sure what the complaints are about. Chicken is fresh, tasty, and french fries are delicious. It's not fine dining, I can get more food than I can finish for the price of a glass of wine in a restaurant. I would mark it down by one because it seems to be staffed by possible illegal immigrants who don't look very clean and only speak passable English.

In lunch time it's one of my favorite places to go

One of the tastiest chicken wraps I've had in a while. Good size with plenty of meat in the wrap and sauce adding just the right amount of heat. I went for medium. Yes it takes a while to get served, yes the shop front is tiny and there's usually nowhere to sit down but compared to what it was like before it's 10x better now.

So, just been here after the Revamp, the store looked more nicer and cleaner from the previous store, which is comforting. Ordered a platter in store for takeaway! Waiting time the person on the Till said was 40 mins. The grill when I looked was absolutely empty. That just shows how unorganised they are with food preparation to ensure customers don’t wait for too long. The chicken was still steaming! In the oven!! Not happy at all! When we brought the chicken home, some pieces of the chicken were still raw!!!
