Rude staff , unclean and always get your order wrong , don’t bother going here when you have fernandos and Pepe’s down the road for a better price and much better quality

The food is consistently good. I always get a half chicken meal deal with peri fries and I have it hot as the sauce/marinade is very flavourful. It's a good price as well for such nice food. The atmosphere definitely lacks as it's mostly a takeaway place but has 2 booths and a few chairs to sit down if needed. In terms of services, they just inform us when the food is ready and you go up and collect it. Then when you're done you just empty the tray, like in fast food joints. So there isn't an element of service, which is perfectly fine for a place like this. Overall, great tasting chicken especially for the price point. Best for takeaway or delivery instead of eating in

I used to be in roosters everyday. Then the menu changed and the staff went. So I couldn't be bothered to go anymore.

Awful service today, ordered buffalo wings over the phone for collection in 15 minutes they said which is the only expectation they met, and when I got home I saw the food ordered was never the one I received (got little grilled wings) I started calling the restaurant and never received a response no one answered and then eventually they turned their phone off or whatever, as it kept going to voicemail, avoid at all costs and save your time go elsewhere, well done Roosters, used to eat a lot of your food but now you’ve lost a customer.

Delivery was good for the most part, but the delivery driver clearly didn't read my note and was stuck waiting outside for longer than he should've.

I placed my order for a peri peri half-chicken one chicken leg uncooked when I gave it to a member of the staff named is Shah Nawaz he saw it and chucked it into the bun I waited 5 min he changed my chicken after 5 min when my son ask he said u eat already no even I finished food I took one bit I left the restaurant without finish my food cause they don't want to change the food I was pay my food very very bad customer service staff to rode they don't know how to deal with customer and waste of money to go roster piri piri first time I went there very bad experience I never go again in reading roster piri piri

England is a country where it always rains. I entered the store and it was raining, and unfortunately I was a bit wet. The attendant came to me and gave me papers to dry the floor and the bench I sat on. I think it's not the customer's job to clean the restaurant! I felt embarrassed and I won't come back again!

Food was cold and it came late

Was told that food was delivered- but food never turned- Just Eat want 48 hours to investigate and Roosters told me to get lost as it was the just eat driver’s fault. I am £25 out of pocket and have no food. I also have no number to call just eat it and complain. This is disgusting customer service!

Ordered a wrap that was £3.49 and later on I saw on my Apple Pay I was charged £5… Very upset.

Roosters is a go-to place for peri-peri, the chicken is always succulent and tasty and the wings are the buffalo ones - not the tiny half size wings you get at other venues.

I went here after a long time as last time food was very disappointing but this time there was a big improvement we had half chicken with chips and drink and a peri peri burger meal both were on offers we had both mild and the chicken was very juicy and soft, only downside with the meals they don't give you chilli and garlic sauce instead just give you ketchup sachets apart from this everything was nice

Portion size was small for the price

The guy doing wraps messed my order. Order machine does'nt have sauce choice for wraps and when asked him about sauce , he re-opend the wraps and put a blotch of hot sauce on the wrap. I asked him should'nt you be cooking this with sauce on , he said no this is how we do it !!!. When I brought meal home, my son was so disappointed as the entire wrap was under cooked and disgusting. Also this meal is supposed to have two fries , we were given one and that is also half filled. Worst of all ,found a hair in the wrap as well. Disappointing and money wasted.

usually my favourite place to order from. but today food order time kept going up and up and then food arrived cold. Hopefully just a one off as usually the food is amazing

Driver was waiting outside for 5 minutes, of which the food was then cold when it arrived, ordered peri peri and we got normal chips

Stopped going to this place a while ago due to chip portions getting small and overall quality going down hill while price going up. However decided to give another go this time one of the burgers was extremely chewy grossly and tasted weird so didn’t eat chips portion small as usual except now overly seasoned so so salty and wings which used to be this places best thing out now much smaller and tiny compared to what they used to be just a reminder not to go back I do not recommend this place.

Chicken strips are quite small, fries were barely seasoned however wrap was very full and flavourful so overall did enjoy.

Missing a lamb wrap... called the roosters store told basically he put in the bag - so it's the driver fault and we can call just eat to get money back, they can't send a new wrap because we don't have a driver. So RUDE. never again. Food is cold on arrival also!

The delivery came around 2 hours after I ordered . I had to call the restaurant numerous times to ask . The food came freezing cold .

Normally, I'm really happy with orders from here. However, yesterday, our order was slightly wrong and a bit disappointed with the peri peri fries as there was not much seasoning on any of the 4 portions of chips we ordered and paid for. This will not stop us from ordering from here again, though, as their chicken is the best in Reading!

The food was delicious, the chicken and peri chips in particularly was v nice. However, when delivered it was cold which caused the texture to be a bit meh. Other than that, lovely!

Compared to the last time I ordered from here this time it was more expensive and the portions were smaller, and because of this it's the last time I order from here

The sweet potato fries were overcooked and soggy. The delivery guy not cool. Other guys would normally buzz and come up to my flat. He sat his motorcycle and called me to come to him.

i ordered in advance to get my food on time, the food came, it was cold. the thighs were hard because they were cold and i got the wrong dips. the food was an hour late. I would like a refund its completely unacceptable

It's actually a shame used to love this place order all the time, your buffalo thigh burger and the hot wings are still mine and my partners favourite thing to eat, however you charge £3.69 for piri fries and the portion is just ridiculous I wouldn't even call it a small amount of chips we asked for more in the bag and you still sent the same amount knowing full well we are very regular customers who spend £35/£40 each order... on top of that I really wish you'd pack things a bit differently each time I've ordered I've always had cold food as you put the burgers on top of the cold cakes, or even better yet you put a cold drink on top of hot food, it's a shame but I don't think I'll be ordering again.

Working up and down the country, there are very few takeaways that blow my mind, and I would order from again. This is one of them! Amazing food tastes incredible and will definitely be ordering again whilst I'm still in the area !!

I used to like Roosters but the quality has been reduced in all senses! They have reduced the size of their meal and increased the price! The burgers don't taste as it used to! We were with kids and ask for an additional disposable paper cup and they said they can't give an additional one! If they want to survive in this business climate, they really need to change how they serve their customer and what they provide (this was far too expensive for what they give and how they treat you)!

Buffalo wings, chicken strips and chicken wrap were all amazing. Chicken was tender and the lemon/herb and hot flavours were perfect. Would definitely recommend Roosters Piri Piri.

Best peri peri chicken in reading

Very very Disappointed. Whoever made our food didn’t have any knowledge of how to make it. Burnt and Salty chips, Hard chicken breast. I could taste the salty sauce in my burger. One thing gets points is the packaging but they put drinks in the bag 😕 Would never be ordering again. Used to order a lot from here!

Ordered cheeseburger with no onions and got not gherkins, which is my son's favourite bit! Quite disappointing.

Very small space to eat inside but still seats and table were available for 4 people. Service and food was good.

There was barely any sweet potato fries in the bag

The portion size for the chips to go with the whole chicken platter wasn't big enough to share. The delivery driver went to loads of other addresses to deliver food before turning up at our address 20 mins late.

Never fails to deliver. The food arrived promptly and all the meat and sides were cooked perfectly and me and the wife were very happy with the entire meal. Would highly recommend

The chicken is always good, juicy and yet cooked through and plenty of sauce. We live the fact that the chicken wings are the full size buffalo ones - not the tiny ones from other places. The sweet potato fries are always good and it is usually fast - say 20 minutes from order to the door. Thanks Roosters!

Chicken wrap very good, wings exceptional but chips were well overcooked and the peri salt has changed from before in a bad way. Dont like it at all.

Chicken was cold but fries hot did not seem like freshly done

The food is always hot and succulent from Roosters Piri. What we like is the fact that they give you the buffalo chicken wings rather than (as some places do) just the smaller part of the chicken wing - this is much better value.

Food was great and service was quick

My order was never recived yet they said its delivered, There is a lot of dishonsty behind the people who are running this application, my order was supposed to be for 20:35 for me and my family I checked the site to see where is my order displaying delivered 20:24, we are living in a cost of living cris and now there robbers online trying to take what little money you mey have and give you nothing back in return, I am fumming knowing that my family had to go without because of this, as soon as i get my refund i will not be using roosters piri piri and just Eat again, so i will advise you good people out there to do the same and keep your money in your pocket.

Service was extreme slow. I was the only customer in there yet 3 staff were talking to each other n took 17 minutes to prepare my food.

The chicken was good, and it tasted great, but I would swear the size of the strips has decreased. The size of the coleslaw (£3.49) and the smashed avocado (£3.99) is ridiculous. They are obscenely overpriced.

My son came in to get some food after his basketball game today, and he was treated with such a kindness and respect! Staff was very friendly to him, best feedback from one happy teenager! He loved food he got! Thank you thank you thank you Kindness always wins :)

Thanks for selling coal black chicken fully burned. You don't know BBQ, don't know tender well cooking flame. Stop making people cancer. Better for you to quit from job and go into mining charcoal business. But I don't think you can also make easy money from there anymore as it is not sustainable anymore due to fossil fuels not demanded anymore. Otherwise I would advise you to produce electric from burning chickens

This place is number one ripp off in Reading town centre unreasonable price for muffin size burger and £1.79 for can of soft drink is a joke and very expensive I would definitely avoid this day light robery take away

Without a doubt the best Piri Piri sauce in town. The wrap was delicious complimented by their chilli sauce. Great strips. Oh and the fries were great 👍🏽 - Definitely recommend if you're around in the Reading area. And a shout out to Faizan, service was swift, friendly and polite.

The chicken strips and chips/wedges are great, the chicken had a very nice BBQ flavour and it was tender and the chips and wedges were crispy and had a nice flavour. The bad things were that 2 strips were missing (which there were meant to be 12 but I got 10) and the vanilla milkshake was cheaply made, the quality was like a cheap store brought vanilla ice cream mashed up and melted which was put into a coca cola cup, the only positive is it was wrapped up nicely. Overall, the food was great and the delivery time was right on time but Roosters do better with the vanilla milkshake (or do not do vanilla milkshake).

The food was cold having to warm it up the chicken and chips as change the quality of the the food I normally do not have this issue here the food is normally quite consistent
