Yet another superb Sunday lunch at this pub. Everything cooked lovely, lots of meat and a good variety of vegetables. Staff are friendly and helpful Would highly recommend this pub for Sunday lunch

This has been my local pub where I worked as a young girl/spent birthdays and all other celebrations with family for 30 years...including my mums funeral 9 years ago...Went back with 30 percent voucher and sadly won't be back...rude ignorant bartender who was reluctant to answer simple questions about cider on offer then left me with half my drinks order whilst taking other food order!?! (And yes i was typically over polite instead of calling him on it...wish i could be a bit more like these people!) Half of my Chips overcooked whilst scampi undercooked when nobody else in the pub to cook for!?! My boys burger not the best and microwaved masala and nan...(I know...cheap crap from freezer but it's not cheap for crap food these days!) My deep fat fryer dinner of chips and scampi used to be easy to get right! This is my home pub with so many sentimental feelings..I don't give bad reviews easily as I know how damaging they can be as an air b and b host...but guys...sort it out...I was deeply disappointed and saddened....😌 Never had such a rubbish experience at my local pub in all those years..no wonder it was empty.

The food was very good (fish +chips)the wainwright's ale was poor.the tables where all sticky as where the menus, the ladies toilets floor was very slippery.a pity really, the place looks tired.

Hi visited The Swan for our Anniversary meal. Table reservation by phone professional approach all through. Arrived showed straight to our reserved table. Good selection of drinks. Plenty on the main menu plus a daily meal and drinks inclusive menu. Meals perfect. Exptional value. Thanks to all the friendly staff. Will definitely be re visiting 😊.

We went as a large family group for drinks and lunch. There was a good selection of food on the menu and we all enjoyed our meals. We were especially impressed with the helpful service we received from April and Tracey. April was particularly attentive throughout the time we were there.

It was my first time in the swan today and I was unsure what food to get as I’m new to the area. A lovely young lady called April took time to take me through the menu and pick out options she thought would be best for me. The service was brilliant and although it was quiet the atmosphere was very comforting, highly recommend:)

Since Andy and Shez have taken over the whole place, it has changed for the better. So nice not coming into a dirty pub, with rude staff, bad food, and threatening behaviour from some of the customers. Now its always clean, the food is outstanding, especially the fish and chips and rocky road, the staff couldn't do more for you, they always have a smile and are so welcoming. And now any customers bad is not tolerated. We now have a safe community pub back, which we love coming to and can bring the grand kids for the football. Food was nice. Ordered the steak pie deal, which was very filling. Huge screen in the bar area showing sky sports news was great.

Booked a table for Sunday lunch with my mother helped to our table by Andrew told us where to order. April took our order she explained about the roasts and offered a smaller plate for my mother, great to see good service rather than upselling a meal that she would never be able to finish. She couldn't finish the small plate lol, a young man saved the day with a take out box for our the left over meat. Massive portions and food perfectly cooked will be back to try the rest of the menu x

Swan is very nice and cosy place for lunch,the food is great and plentiful. The only problem was we found the Male staff not very friendly.

We arrived today at 12pm, the time our table had been booked for, there wasn’t many people in at first so we ordered 4 baguette melts and a plate of sharing nacho’s, at 13.10 there was still no sign of our food even though other people had had their’s. We asked the manager what was the delay and he just shrugged and said “I didn’t take the order” he went into the kitchen and came out 10 minutes later with 2 plates saying “melts” we asked which ones to be told “ I don’t know I’ve just been told to give them out”. The food was dried up like it had been kept warm for ages, the family on the next table were also waiting over an hour for their food and we saw 2 other tables walk out as well. It was a sham, understaffed, rude manager and mediocre food. We will not be returning.

Had a lovely day with the family, looked after perfectly. Food was perfectly cooked and 10/10 for presentation. Pub was warm and welcoming for a special day. Thank you x

The bread for the pate was so hard you couldn’t get your teeth through.when the dinner came it was half the amount given to us for the festive menu.The best course was the Christmas pudding .I felt awful for my husband as I had raved about the meals .

Our PTA group went for our Christmas meal last night, it was fabulous, a 3 course dinner with very generous portions, lovely atmosphere and excellent warm friendly service from Tracy

The food was excellent well cooked and everyone enjoyed their meal. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Had roasts today at the Swan at cosy of £9.95 and must say was good value for money. 1 of our party had beef other 2 had turkey. Came with lots of vegetables, all nice except the sprouts which were frozen sprouts. Turkey and beef were beautiful and was a huge plate full of food! Didnt try the desserts as we were too full. Will certainly return.

Met up with my friends from for a meal at this pub, it never disappoints, great service, delicious food. Staff always look after us. Missed Tracy, get well soon. Looking forward to returning in December for our Christmas meal

Attended for evening meal, ordered the 'ultimate spicy burger' meals. What a disappointment, the burgers tasted cheap and the meat had a strange consistency, I suspect they were frozen. Poor quality. The bacon was nice and crispy, the meal was hot and the fries were nice. One of the team came over with condiments and cutlery, however one set of cutlery was unclean. The other point to note is the strong smell of urine when you walk in!

We went for the three course lunch, it was much improved on our last visit. I understand they have a new chef in. The things that should be hot were hot and the things that should be cold were cold. The gentleman who served us was both polite and professional. we enjoyed ourselves and the dog was welcome as well, which is always a plus.

Have visited The Swan on a couple of midweek afternoons. Staff and service friendly and welcoming. We all enjoyed our food. Will definitely return again

Currently stopping at the Travelodge in Kingswinford, if you are, make the effort to bypass the Harvester Nextdoor and the Wetherspoons down the road and walk down to The Swan, food and atmosphere is way better and they have plenty of screens with Sky Sports on and also no screen areas if that don’t interest you.I had a mixed grill and probably the best one I have had from a chain pub for years, better than a lot of independents too, my steak on my huge mixed grill was cooked to perfection. The staff here are also excellent and very professional, this will be my go to place whilst working away here, don’t settle for cheap for what you think are cheaper options, really not worth it !!

We came for dinner last month a d it was great. The barman was very informative with the covid restrictions. He was knowledgeable about the pub itself amd was very friendly. We has food from the lunch menu and it was fine.

Had Sunday lunch here beefburger was very very well cooked... Burnt comes to mind...Nothing special really... Hand gel at door but no staff wearing masks which was a surprise... Won't be back....Probably OK for a drink with friends...

Went in for a drink with the family last week and were pleased that we could take our dog in and we’re impressed by the menu so we thought we’d try it out again, so we went in and sat in the exact chairs we sat in last week to be told that children weren’t allowed in that area but the dog was. The only area the children are allowed is where the dog wasn’t allowed so Vince the owner wanted us to separate and some of us sit in the restaurant with the child and some sit in the bar with the dog even though the place was empty! Ridiculous. So we chose to go elsewhere and spend our money and will definitely not be returning after that.

Well went to the swan2 days after it opened.what a big let down.The decorations were nice in side.But to spend £200.000 on a bit of wallpaper was a joke.

Popped into the Swan this evening 2 roasts for £10 as there was 3 of us ordered a half chicken roast meal for £5.95. Each meal came with broccoli carrots, peas, mash, 2 roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and a choice of beef or pork. Portions were generous and plenty of tasty gravy. Chicken was nice, roast beef good although one meal had a little section with gristle which could have been cut off before serving as the portion of beef in itself was good but no matter overall a pleasant evening. The pub has a notice that it will shortly be closing for a refurb so looking forward to going back when this has been done. An excellent value meal.

Visited The Swan with my dad and a mate for an early tea and can honestly say the food was good value a beef & Fish burger and a Scampi all cooked well and very enjoyable the staff could a little more friendly but that's a minor gripe the swan is a great place for a no frills tea cooked well just don't expect a smile off the staff perhaps there not a fun lot in Kingswinford compared with us Brummies

Went for Sunday lunch. Dried up peas cold roast potatoes. Small portions Service without a smile. Never again.

First time visit, plenty of atmosphere and everyone enjoying themselves we all had a main and dessert and drinks and only came to £23 for 2 burger meals 2 pints 2 fruitshoots 2 kids mains and 2 desserts bargain portion size spot on not too much not left hungry all cooked and presented nice. Noticed other offers in week will be back guys. Kids loved it, also a little play area for under 9s with seating close by all round Nice pub

Went there last Sunday for lunch. Sent back 3 roast beef dinners. One had a long hair in it, all 3 had beef you couldn’t cut or chew. You wouldn’t have fed it to a dog. Really poor, could be good if they trained their staff and paid attention. Other than that just be a pub and forget the food.

Called 6.30 good Friday and pub busy with young drinkers on patio. Only a Few people eating inside. Pleasant service when ordering food and drinks during visit, but ordering food including 3 steak meals, NO ONION RINGS, NO RUMP STEAK, NOTWISTLE CHIPS. Basic items but with a bank holiday busy weekend, stocks would have been ordered to cover possible extra customer business.No reduction in price or replacement offered.. Serlion steak served instead of rump, which was ok apart from it being COLD. No point asking for re heating as rare steak would then have become medium plus. NO STEAK KNIFE WITH THAT MEAL and when requested at servery young waitress fetched one from kitchen with a most surly expression as if it was my fault not served initially. Meal tasty and reasonable prices, but although recommended by friends , having travelled 6 miles not likely to return.YOUR COMMENTS WELCOMED.

Staff are great, place is nice, food reasonable but OMG it’s like being in a nursery- un supervised kids running riot inside and out- how they stay safe outside I do not know - little kids playing alone and not watched outside of the pub- inside running round tables where people are trying to have an evening out and a meal. Climbing on furniture, getting in the wait staffs way- such a shame. Could be a good pub minus the kindergarten.

We decided to have lunch here for a change, we’ve popped into the swan for drinks on numerous occasions but we had never tried the food. The lunch was nice, normal pub style food (burgers, chicken etc) and it all came at a really competitive price. Would try again if in town.

Not very impressive very plain pub grub, frozen food only not fresh cheep and cheerful the place doesn't feel very clean

desided to stop off for a bit to eat wished we hadn't. staff are polite and welcoming but the cleanliness of the place isn't where we were sitting there was half of a sandwich wich looked like it had been there all day as it was 6.30 when we visited there were crumbs all over the carpet it looked like some animals had stopped off to eat before us and just chucked all there food on the floor. but this also brings me to a conclusion that if where people eat isn't clean i wonder what state the kitchen is in. i have reason to believe that Dudley MBC have inspected this pub and gave it a new hygiene rating but this hasn't been published yet. we defiantly wont be stopping here AGAIN. also a little more thought could go into presentation as it just seems they had just chucked it on a plate but on the other hand the puddings was great except for the milkshake in a glass and a cake which i really didn't understand and that was horrible even down to the cake

Had a really good experience at the swan. The kids loved it with the booths and the interactive TV, perfect place to go as a family and I have been back on my own to have a drink! 5/5 from me!

Hello; we have just had a 3 course lunchtime deal meal for £5.75 each. Excellent value and service and the San Miguel was a lovely pint. Thank you and will definitely visit again.

Recientemente llamado aquí para una comida con mi novia, no habíamos visitado por un par de años. Me di cuenta de algo que debería haber estaba equivocado por la falta de gente comiendo en una noche de viernes, que presume de ser una hora muy concurrida. La mesa no había sido limpiado y todo era pegajoso, mientras que la sal y la pimienta junto con la botella de vinagre se repararon en ketchup! ! ! Cuando pedimos que nos cambiaran de ellos ni siquiera conseguir una disculpa. Cuchillo de mi novia no había sido lavado correctamente y todavía tenía comida desde el usuario anterior. La comida, aunque a un precio razonable, fue hecha y esperamos bastante tiempo para estar preparado. En el lado positivo, el joven que sirve detrás del bar era agradable y eficiente. No volveremos aquí en cualquier momento pronto.

Visitamos el Swan por primera vez hoy poco después del mediodía con mi amigo. Pedí el pescado y patatas fritas. No podía creer mis ojos cuando llegamos. Los laicos batterless mi pescado en un plato, rodeado por unos chips y algunos guisantes blandos. Tratando el pescado, estaba completamente seco y realmente no es comestible. No me gusta quejarme, pero esperábamos algo mejor por £7. 35. Camarera recogió mi plato y me dijo, te preparaban Otro pedazo de pescado. Fue traído a nuestra mesa, no hay punto de comparación con la primera. Empanada encantador fresco desde el exterior y el interior. suculentas Pero mi guisantes y patatas peladas a había sido una placa nueva y estamos más o menos fría. Pensé, toda la comida hubiera sido reemplazado. Un servicio muy pobre, primer pescado parecía que había mantenido desde la noche anterior. No me puedo quejar de el personal, muy amable.

Tuvimos una agradable cena aquí. Me aventureros y tenía el pollo Pathia restos carbonizados. Mi esposa estaba menos aventureros y tenía el pescado mini y patatas fritas. El servicio era bueno y amable.

Party of us went last night and we had nice food.Starter was breaded mushrooms but sadly overcooked. I ordered steak for my main course which was cooked to perfection. I had cheesecake for dessert but didn't taste like cheesecake but was very nice. One of our party ordered vegetarian but shame they forgot to bring it out. Were very apologetic and refunded price of starter and also gave her bottle of wine to compensate. 3 courses meal for £11.99 is amazing so will return without a doubt.

The food was not up to standard Firstly it wasn't hot and the meal seemed as though it had been kept warm sometime before serving. We asked for our steaks to be medium but they were well over done. The service was good and pleasant, but overall it was disapointing.

Can't believe I have lived in Kingswinford so long and have not been to this pub. The food is pub food, so you either like it or don't. However the staff and hospitality are worth a review. Helpful, friendly, and welcoming...will definitely visit again .

Having visited the Swan on numerous occasions, the only snag depends upon who is in the kitchen.A bad pint is a rarity. The food is good value, but don't expect fois gras or caviar. Standard pub grub for a good price, especially the lunch time special.Pleasant, friendly staff are always welcoming. Give it a go.

Been to the Swan for lunch today. Has to be the best fish and chips I've had in a long time. My daughter is celiac and they even had a separate menu for her to choose from. Would definitely recommend.

The pub was fairly quiet, with an area reserved for a funeral and a few tables occupied inside and a couple out. The staff were friendly and helpful, our two light lunches arrived in a timely manner and were quite nice. We sat outside as was such a nice day, we had one drink and left. A pleasant local pub, will visit again

Great for the kids, with a giant interactive screen. Small tvs for the footie in each booth. However we ordered a sharer/large plate of chips which was tiny. Bigger portions please. Very friendly owner

First time at the swan in Kingswinford and it was very disappointing. The place needs a thorough clean!! My feet stuck to the floor, the ladies toilets were grotty and the toilet seat was hanging off. Everything looked as though it needed a good clean! This made me feel uncomfortable eating here. The food wasn't great either. I will not be coming back and would not recommend this pub to anyone for a meal out. I wish I had gone elsewhere.

Went in here loads of times and they run it for the young ones to watch their football and behave in a very aggressive manner both inside and outside very scary for me with disabilities so I stay well away.

Don't waste your money. It is by far the worst food my husband and I have ever had. Firstly they had run out of chips, so we had curly fries which were so hard and greasy I could not eat them. All of the meat on both meals were over cooked. It is the first time I have ever heard my husband complain about food (he normally eats anything). On the positive side the young chap behind the bar was very polite and friendly. We wont be returning

Judging by reviews this place seems very hit and miss. I can appreciate both sides and so will try not to be too harsh. We've been before and whilst it was always fine for drinks (especially in the large beer garden on a warm day) the food we had was always poor. However, we'd heard it had been re-done and thought we'd try again.I like the place's look, and its very family friendly and well laid out. There's loads of seating outside with nice lights in the trees and you almost forget you're on quite a main road in the middle of Kingswinford. The drinks selection has been expanded to include cocktails and the menu has been revamped and looked very promising. The staff were nice - there was little interaction as were just ordering standard things, but they were all friendly and swift. The pub was fairly busy and the time it took them to serve us was normal and expected.But again, the food was poor. I had a mixed grill with an extra of sautee'd mushrooms. I kind of thought the mushrooms would be placed on the plate but they were served in an separate bowl, which was full of goopy, greasy mushroom juice. Mushrooms can get watery, sure, but this was very unappealing. My gammon was delicious and my curly fries were plentiful and very tasty. Which made me confused as to why the rest was, unfortunately, a write-off. Hard pale peas (not sure why they were there, they added nothing and just fell off the side of the plate) and an egg that had seen better days, very overcooked. The steak was rubbery and chewy (I couldn't finish it), and the chicken was burnt. My friends steak was likewise chewy and mostly gristle, and my other friends had burgers that had been absolutely done to death with cheap processed cheese and dry chips. For what we paid, there was a lot of food on our plate, so it was a shame we didn't really enjoy it! Having said that, I know so many people who love coming here for dinner. It might a case of different cooks, different nights, and varying standards due to busy periods. We're happy to drink here, and have no problem with the state of the place. But we probably won't bother again for food.

Came here for a family meal. It was a teenage birthday so this was just the job. Lots of Marston's pubs like this which offer a bit of everything . Steaks, grills, curry, seafood etc. Enjoyed the meal in comfort and have used the pub for drinks since. Please take note that we dined here in the week and have found weekends to be much busier and a lot noisier (it doubles as a sports pub too ). If you're looking for cheap n cheerful then this is ideal

We recently visited the Swan for lunch and unusually had the 3 course lunchtime meal. The food was all well presented, nicely cooked and tasty. The place accommodates children well with 'booths' where there are interactive activities for them to enjoy whilst waiting for the food to be served. Our Granddaughter loved these games and was well occupied.There is also a barked play area outside too.

Recently ate here with friends. They are regulars here & suggested it & I'm so glad they did.I had the chicken & waffles which was fantastic. I was so impressed really delicious, couldn't finish it all & was able to have it wrapped up to go. Very good value for money, especially if you are going for one of the special nights like the curry night which come with a drink.It is a sports orientated pub/restaurant & at the tables are small flat screen TV's so you don't have to strain your head to view the big screen.I am not very interested in that myself but its a nice touch for those who are.

We visited mid week for a catch up with family and a spot of tea. We sat in one of the booths upstairs. Very comfy. There was plenty of choice on the menu. The food was nicely presented, tasty and lots of it. The staff were all lovely. The prices were good as well.

Love it here & we try to go every Friday lunchtime as my parents like the food.Very friendly staff plus we go every Xmas Day without fail.Vince & his wife are super friendly as are all the staff who we hav got to know.Great choice of food plus parking is good & its local.

Driving around looking for somewhere to stop for lunch, we found The Swan at Kingswinford. Good variety of food on the menu to suit all tastes and very reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Would definitely go back.

We always go here as a family for a middle of the week meal. The menu is great and always something we all like. It is good value for money and the staff at always friendly and helpful.

If you are looking for an affordable and filling meal I would highly recommend the Swan. Portion sizes are rather large and food is served promptly after ordering. I have also been on occasions where I have not eaten and quite enjoyed the cocktail menu, one of few places in Kingswinford that actually do them.

Our family had a Christmas Faye meal here. It was absolutely dire. Rock hard boiled potatoes and tasteless mush as vegetables.Even my prawn cocktail was awful, with a watery sauce and tasteless prawns. So disappointed, I know it's cheap but I do expect to be able to eat and enjoy the food. The waiting staff were all polite and friendly, that is the only positive thing I have to say.I would certainly not recommend the food in this pub.

I'll keep this brief, because I won't be back and I don't want the reader to make the same mistake. We arrived in a quiet Sunday afternoon and chose a table. When we went to order our food, the manager told us it was already reserved and there was a card on the table saying so, which embarrassing. There was nothing the table to say we couldn't sit there. We found another table and ordered. It took ages to arrive. I wonder if my 16oz gammon was anywhere near that weight, and the pineapple on is was mostly raw. The peas were all colours and we wondered how this could be so. My friends fish was hard and dry enough to stand the fork up in it. The food was economical quality and not specially well cooked. Out waitress was polite, but I have no desire to go back and would look for something else nearby. They had more than enough time to get it right but it wasn't very good.

The only fresh thing about my meal was the slice of lemon! All frozen with varying colours of peas so odd!! Had to wait the best part of an hour even though it was not busy. I'm sure Iceland frozen supermarket would be a gastronomic delight compared to this nonsense! The batter on my fish was so hard I could stand a fork up in it! Weird coloured peas and hard frozen chips. My friend had gammon 16ounce supposedly, no way on earth was it!!! Devoid of any taste what's so ever!!

Visited on a Saturday lunchtime recently and had another good meal with my family. New menu was a nice surprise. Jo the waitress and the bar staff make you feel very welcome. Can't fault it.

I went with my husband and kids. We didn't find it very good. The meals were not very warm & you don't get a lot for the price you have to pay. Don't think we will be going again! !!

It's a lovely pub with a lively atmosphere! The food selection is easy and also cheap enough for a good night out!I would reccomend to anyone and everyone :)

Me and my husband had the 3 course meal deal didn't expect alot for that price but boy it was bad my husband had mushrooms starter he cut into one and it went flying across the room they were rock hard we both had steak pie for mains the pastry was hard and the gravy was jellified on the plate our desert was crumble it was to hard my spoon wouldn't go though it we complained to the manager Vince who was very obnoxious and arrogant and said that's the way we cook here and gave me a £1 refund I later emailed marstons with my complaint and they sent me a gift voucher and apology I also emailed the swan and Vince replied saying I hadn't got nothing better to do Than complain and I was wasting his time as he had a poorly father to look after we all have problems In our lives but try to avoid taking them to work and definitely not taking them out on the customers I wont be visiting this pub again

just had lunch here quite a comprehensive menu reasonably priced not long wait although not full few in service was quite quick and friendly, comfortable and clean.

So, after my only (bad) experience here (see previous review), I decided that everyone deserves a second chance. the menu had changed since my last visit, and I looked forward to my 'chip shop platter' as did the rest of my party to the grills they had ordered. After paying, I was told my orders would be incomplete due to an oversight with what was remaining!!No matter, we were offered alternatives to complete our meals, however, when mine came, the batter on the fish was almost impenetrable and the fish inside had been fried to within an inch of its life.Not impressed at all and will not be returning after two consecutive bad experiences

The swan pub is by far the best pub in kford, I go here regularly and eat regularly. The bar staff are really kind and welcoming. The boss Vince is very friendly and makes the place a lovely welcoming place to be. The pub is clean & family welcoming. The food is lovely & I rate the place. The waitresses are very friendly and helpful and do there job good. Get down there and try it our for yourself .

Worst place for food ive been to . I ordered a Lanashire hot pot. It wasnt very nice and very salty.It was meant to have gravy and they forgot it. The waitress went and fetched me some. I poured it on my food to then find it was a touch warm very thick.I sent it back. This just topped things right off for me. It had just been filled the jug with boiling water on the gravy left in the jug. Couldnt believe it. I Would of spoke to someone but i did not want to make a fuss being a birthday occasion.I wont be going here again.

As I'm most days I can tell you that this place is the best pub in the midlands, the hard work and effort that goes into it to make it that perfect is highly praisable Vince, Carol and all the staff well done and keep it up please ignore the bad reviews come in and you truly won't be disappointed !!

Really impressed with The Swan since it's been refurbished. The service behind the bar is excellent - very welcoming - and the choice of food is comprehensive and good value. Love the new booths. Can recommend.

Visit this pub often as we class it as our local. Vince the boss runs a tight ship. Meals are good value especially Thursday evening grill night steaks are cooked well, although my husband always moans that they are a little tight with the chips so I always give him half of mine as I have plenty.The new decore has improved the look of the place. Staff are always helpful and serve you with a smile. Well done Marstons for the face lift your Manager Vince is a star along with his hard working staff.

its not the refurbished decor, that makes this pub one of the best if not the best in Kingswinford, it's not the food either, which for a chain pub, is still very good. It the people who run it. The gaffs, Vince and his staff are top notch, he is golden star for Marston's chain, I just hope they don't move him, as he is blood of this pub.

Popped in with family for early evening meal. Opted for the the build-your-own-burgerMISTAKEEverything was overcooked, the burger, the fried egg looked like it had been cooked for 20 minutes, the bun was toasted, but couldn't hide the fact it was stale, and the fries were like scratchings.It took all night for the taste to leave my mouthNever again

Used to be a great pub with quality food at reasonable prices. When we attended one of the young 'chefs' was behind the bar talking to the barmaid..my lord...I hope his hands and kitchen workspace were cleaner than his chefs whites! Put us off eating on this occasion! Like a previous review stated the place is very dark and gloomy and not as pleasant as it used to be. The waiting staff seemed more interested in Sky Sports on the big screen then actually doing what they are paid to do! Disappointing and will hopefully get better. Visited The Swan on a Tuesday evening for a meal with my friend. We have been here before but I need to write a review of our experience this time because I'm wondering if some of the other reviewers are talking about a different place altogether! Plus the fact that I had the most delicious Ribeye steak, I need to rave about it. Vince and his staff are very friendly and hard-working and we definitely did NOT encounter slow service. My friend and I shared the pate starter, which was really tasty just wish we'd had one each! And as mentioned, I had the 12oz Ribeye from the Specials board, it was cooked exactly how I'd asked and so good. I had it with French Fries instead of normal chips, which were lovely and plenty of them too. My friend had the Cajun Chicken which she said was a bit too spicy for her, but this is no fault of the chef as the menu does say "Spicy Chicken Dish". I think she must have had milder versions in the past. We had no room for dessert unfortunately, but will definitely be coming back again and again. Can't wait for another Ribeye! (please don't change your chef, Vince).

It took 45 minutes for the starters to arrive which were only nachos. How long does it take to heat up some cheese sprinkled on crisps! Waited another hour for mains. The food ok considering the price but not nothing to shout about.

Myself and three other adults visited the Swan on a Sunday afternoon. The pub is nicely laid out and has a pleasant atmosphere. I ordered our drinks and meals at the bar and we waited for our food at our table whilst chatting and watching football on the big TV. The game had only just started and it was about 5 minutes into the second half before our food arrived, which I calculate to be just under an hour. The food was enjoyable which makes it such a shame that I cannot rate this pub any higher because of the long waiting time.

Love this pub so much it is now my local!! The staff are amazing espically Adam and Luke! They make me feel very welcome! Always up for a bit of banter! Customer service has always been quality - can't fault them! The food is top notch too - something for everyone! It's a great experience!

Never visited this place before however me and my partner were recommended by friends and decided to visit for a drink and a meal. We were pleasantly and quickly served by the bar staff who served us promptly and were very helpful, after a pleasant chat a member of staff told us to find a table and we could order at the bar. At the table we were impressed by the choice with the menu and a further specials board! and saw many great value dishes, i opted for a 12 oz Rib-eye steak which was delicious and cooked perfectly to my liking, my partner chose the Vegetable Linguine as she is a vegetarian, again this meal served piping hot and looked fantastic, overall our meals were fantastic and we would strongly recommend. Drinks were also cheap and the choices fantastic! I tried one of the guest ales 'boondoggle' fantastic pint! went well with my nice steak! The pub had a lovely atmosphere, families and friends and lots of smiles and everybody seemed happy, as we were 10/10

As a regular to the swan I can tell you to ignore the bad reviews.. The fact that the pub is always busy with both drinkers and diners speaks volumes. Vince has done a great job with the pub and is always welcoming to everyone. Go try it and see for yourself

The swan is an excellent family run pub...myself and my family have been coming here for years and have never had anything to complain about! Vince, Carol and the rest of the staff make you feel so welcome and always go the extra mile for you! Bouncy castles for the kids in the summer and then family discos at bank holidays and Christmas! Not forgetting the yummy pub grub :-)
