Family curry night for 4. Booked online via their website. Warm welcome, clean & tidy restaurant and pleasant staff. Attentive but not overbearing, orders taken, drinks, poppadums etc. Excellent menu, good range with a few different dishes on there. All food was very good, tasty, well presented (table needed to be a bit bigger!) and good portion size. All in all, a great first time for us but certainly not the last. Would highly recommend.

Very disappointed with the food, wasn’t terrible but made worse by the unforgettable attitude and actions of the delivery man, we made it clear to come to the back door and even when he arrived he came to the front. We asked him to come round the back and rather than making the short trip, he threw his hands in the air, left the food on the front door step and buggered off, rude is an understatement and would rather eat Chinese dog in the future 🤷♀️🤷♀️

Ordered from here on NYE, food didnt arrive, constantly fobbed off with expected time and then phone taken off the hook! Happy to take the money though, phoned next day to complain and was rudely told they were busy! That doesn't make it okay to take the money and not deliver! No apology offered or refund. Will not use again!

Chicken was dry in all dishes and the chow main is literally instant noodles onion and chicken no sauce whatsoever you may as well buy some Instant chicken noodles a chicken breast and a onion and make it yourself as that is exactly what it is , it has no vegetables or bean sprouts or sauce....that is not a chow main. Madras was just sauce and dry chicken, majority sauce and was very bland and tame, almost a korma. I was very disappointed considering the £30 minimum spend and £4 delivery charge on foodhub and we didn't enjoy anything. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is for the delivery being on time.

I’ve driven past on many occasions and despite its somewhat dilapidated outside appearance I’d often wondered on what it was actually like given its small village location. I rang in advance to see if it even offered seated restaurant service as it’s somewhat hard to tell from a drive by fleeting glimpse. The inside is fairly spacious, neat, clean and welcoming and in these Covid-19 times all necessary guidelines were being followed. Seated and with menu in hand I was asked for my choice of drink and found to my disappointment this was an alcohol free establishment. I opted for a coke but had I been given a few moments longer there was much greater choice of soft drinks available. Restaurant regulars began to arrive and they obviously knew the drill and were comfortable with bringing their own drinks and happy to pay the nominal corkage charge. I deferred the offer of papadums until I’d had a chance to peruse the menu. Plenty of choices with many dishes that will be familiar to all. I chose a starter, main, rice and side with papadums as kick-off. They arrived swiftly as did the starter, which was slightly too quick for my liking. So in order not to have any table’fullness (well, you never know) I asked for my main to be on hold in the kitchen for 10mins or so. Papadums, Reshmi Kabab, Chicken Madras, Pialu Rice and Bombay Aloo - were all tasty and perfectly cooked and I left not even a grain of rice! The diet coke was a tad flat and poured obviously from a larger bottle - so a bit disappointing. I loved the meal but did feel initially I was perhaps being hurried to make menu decisions and would have preferred more time given this was my first visit. Bill was £28.30, which for a solo diner does seem a tad expensive, given my choices were fairly run-of-the-mill and there was no alcoholic drink involved.

We had two very simple takeaways - vegetable dansak and vegetable curry both with pilau rice. The dansak was hot but flavourless, the curry was as bland as an 'English' and the pilau rice wasn't what we would call pilau - just white rice with a bit of colouring and watery beyond belief.....it's supposed to be light and fluffy but was like wet cotton wool. Very, very disappointing as we have no kitchen ATM and we're really looking forward to some delicious Indian food. Not recommended!!

Ordered a takeaway from here, the cheese naan was full of black grit. The type of grit you would expect to find on your shoes. When I complained I was told it was the oven! What sort of oven puts grit INSIDE a naan??? I was offered a free item next time I order, was refused a refund. I politely explained I would never be ordering from them again. Have reported to FSA. Feel sick that I ate anything from there.

I didn't think I was superstitious, but couldn't bring myself to call it part 13! Just as a starter, this restaurant is not in Ely, but about 7 miles away in Sutton. (At the time of writing the Tripadvisor published address is just Ely). The four of us had a belting meal on Saturday night. We each had different meals and all were delicious. Service was efficient and we all had a good time. I did feel a bit sorry for them as we were there at what you thought might be peak time & only two tables were occupied. Portions were generous and didn't break the bank.

I'd heard such good things about this place. We got a takeaway in January, and despite having my order read back to me on the phone, once we'd unpacked the delivery, they'd missed something off. I phoned them, and it turns out they didn't put the item through. We gave them another chance last night, this time ordering online. Weirdly, the delivery driver told me when he dropped it off 'if there's anything wrong call us and we'll sort straight away'. They didn't deliver a dish, this time we had ordered and paid for it. I phoned them and were told they would get it delivered but at this point the rest of my order was getting cold. When asked for a refund, they couldn't refund as it was paid over PayPal, but would run the money out to me. They said it would be that night or tomorrow, they couldn't say as were 'too busy' . We didn't want it as credit against my next order as we don't want to use them again. My partner had king prawn madras, and we expected more than three prawns given it cost £9.95.After two chances both going wrong we will not be using them again.

So, having lived in Sutton for 8 years now, I have to say Sutton Tandoori was a great local restaurant. Unfortunately over time this has declined, despite new management and decor. Takeaway took longer than promised to collect, and the food, although not awful, was cold. Having ordered a Vindaloo, the heat was almost non existent. Staff looked overwhelmed despite a few takeaway orders and 3 tables occupied. Hope they can improve things. Very disappointed.

B&q has more kerb appeal but thought let's go in anyway as looks can be deceiving.I'll start by sayings we like indians and currys and we meet up once a month trying out different restaurants. I can't understand how people give excellent reviews on the food as it's just tasteless, bland and boring.these reviews must be from people that have never ventured out the village.the popadoms are salty as are the dips and the salad well that's probably been sitting on the side, there were 4 small chicken pieces of meat in my starter ment to be mixed tandoori kebab (really),6 small chicken pieces in the main (tasteless) and although we all ordered different things they all came out bright red and didn't really taste any different.I'm sure they re-use the dips from table to table rather than fresh.and dont ask for a coffee as this takes 45 minutes to come and is made from instant guess they don't know how to use the machine.on the bright side it's cheap so as they say you get what you pay for. but my opinion if it matters to you is don't bother the staff are clueless apart from the English girl who obviously keeps the place ticking over, the food isn't worth the hassle of travelling and the decor oh the decor enjoy people.

This is our second meal from the Sutton Tandoori and we mentally marked the first down as 'a bit strange'....not bad...but it included a saag paneer that was like a cheese sauce with spinach in it. This one we'll also mark down as 'not quite right' and probably assuage our curry urges by eating out in future as this is the only Indian within delivery range for us.Some elements of the meal were very good.... the aubergine bahji had obviously just been freshly cooked and still had some texture to it and the veggie samosas, although tiny, were packed and nicely spicy (but given the rest of the meal I now suspect they were bought in a catering pack).Otherwise our meal was pretty much devoid of hot spices... there was flavour (although not much as I could taste the lamb in my curry as a stand alone flavour) - my curry was described as a 'medium' and I would have classed it as very very mild.My husband's balti had a strong vinegar base (not totally unpleasant but unlike any balti he's ever had before) and his chapatis were very doughy....almost raw and again, there was minimal spice heat to the curry.

This is going to be fantastically short. The food over the last year/ 2 years was gone down hill so much I simply can't even describe. On the last visit my biryani was very evidently reheated. Really, really shocked! Sagg aloo very, very ghee saturated. And stupidly small- the cost is the same as last year.... Why has the portion size dropped sooooooo much. Keema naan with no meat in, only strange red colour saturated into the dough Etc, etc.... So, didn't get on with the food. The decline in quality has been gradual but very steady. The service is absolutely appalling. Hearing "thank you very much" 100 times a minute used to be novel when combined with the friendly lad who used to work there. Now the grumpy, non attentive rude chap who acts as the 2nd part of the combo is too much. I know it is village locked, and probably has a captured audience of regulars. But I now find myself going to friendlier, cheaper, and much higher quality counterparts, but only one village away in Chatteris. This review covers my last visit, however the road to my last visit is long and disappointing. I hope management take heed of some of the clear signs (and reviews) as to the restaurants dwindling customer base. I was asked to rate the atmosphere here as a number- I've never been in the restaurant when it's been busy.... Atmosphere is empty, quiet, and probably a symptom of the food quality, service, and general style of welcome etc. I hope the warning signs are noticed......

We parked across the road, outside the church(popped into the church to explore for 15 minutes as the restaurant had not opened), opened on time at 5pm. Very friendly and engaging staff, excellent menu and we ordered takeaway although the restaurant itself looked inviting. The cuisine was so delicious. We had each ordered a main dish each and added extras to supplement and to share. Different Naan bread's also. My special biriani was so enjoyable and all dishes ordered were subtly spicy. Fantastic value for money, this was on a level par to what we are used to at our local Indian back home. Great meal whilst on vacation in Cambridgeshire.

Placed online order , it was waiting for a while for the confirmation from the restaurant, so I thought I will call , no answer. Driven there and it's closed ! Luckily paid by PayPal so have my money back
