We had booked a table for the Lionel Richie tribute act and was pleasently surprised with how good he was and how busy the pub was. The staff where amazing and handled such a busy night really well always polite and friendly to the very end, will definitely be in for more of there tribute weekends

Had lunch at this pub, the chicken club sub was amazing and presented lovely. The staff couldn’t have been any more lovely and did everything to help. Definitely will be coming back, thank you!

Some of the food was cold and missing items such as coleslaw when asked was told it had gone out of date no mention of this when ordering

Had a lovely lunch with a friend and our 1year old daughters. Food was piping hot, service was friendly and staff made a lovely fuss of our two daughters. The manager made sure we were happy by coming over to speak to us and it’s clear he works hard to keep up the appearances of the pub- Jack of all trades! Friday night live acts are also a great night at Sutton Fields. Fab atmosphere and entertainment!

Normally really enjoy a night in Sutton fields but this particular night my 2 autistic children had a meltdown causing some noise and a staff member who was on his day off shouted at my children to get the f**k out. This is no way acceptable he is no good with children, special needs or anyone really. I will not be returning anytime soon

Me and the wife ordered the mixed grill that came with a pint of lager.the meal was excellent,highly recommended and all for just over £21.The service was also excellent,a great pub at a great price.It's always nice to find a pub that offers great food at very good prices,we will certainly be going back again in the near future,thank you sutton field's in Hull.

Not been in for a while. Loved the new menu with a drink offer. Dog friendly was a bonus. Served by Dawn who was very welcoming and certainly gives a service with a smile. We definitely won't be leaving it as long this time.

Visited Sutton Fields with family for drinks and food. The place has a warm atmosphere and the staff on the bar were polite and very friendly when serving us. This place also shows live sport aswell which is great. We ordered breaded scampi and chicken tikka masala, both of which were delicious. We did not stay long enough but they do have live bands performing on Saturdays too. Would definitely recommend to both families and all ages.

We often visit the Sutton Fields with friends, mostly on a Monday night as it is a Go Large night. This means that you still get the excellent value meals at 2 for a tenner but the portions are huge and even better value. Usual pub grub choices, friendly staff and never having long to wait. Visited today with my partner and 3 children, great choice on the menu and really reasonable prices for good quality food. The staff were fantastic with the children and lovely relaxed atmosphere. Would deffinalty recommend and visit again.

I have been to Sutton fields several times and generally 8/10 i have had a good experience. The food portion size has been very generous and cooked to perfection and value for money is excellent. The servers can be a tad rude at times i find though. There is one woman who is very lovely and accomadating but there is also another waitress and a server who can come across as cold and rude. Luckily ive not had a bad experience with the food to date for myself. Would recomend myself but i can understand if the customer service isnt always perfect as it is a busy place.

The staff r very rude and un accommodating I just finished my treatment and the wouldn't allow me in with my hat on We explained why but still didn't care it was a pre booked 70th birthday party the food was not even average had chips thrown over me by the waitress can safely say I won't b returning again will also tell others about my bad experience n not to go also would rather go to gold crest or whistling goose they r much better

Have been visiting Sutton Fields for a few years now and never had a bad meal.The staff are always lovely, always offer good service. Always busy especially on match days. I have had the barbeque chicken melt a few times and really recommend it. You also get a good deal on desserts.

Been here a few times meeting friends very busy place staff friendly .. TVs all around for all sport occasions which is a good atmosphere .. Decided to try the food every day is a meal special with a soft drink/pint and all good value.. As I'm a vegetarian I had cheese salad sandwich with chips the meal was good value and was lovely.. My partner had pie and chips with a pint as that was the day's meal deal excellent value and he loved it would definetly go back

This pub is very popular in its area with locals. It has a very 'you get what you pay for' vibe about. The food is really reasonable in price so therefore maybe not the highest quality but tastes nice. Beers/Wines are very reasonable in price in comparison to a pub within the city centre. Clean modern deco.

Sutton Fields have different offers on each day of the week, each including a free pint or the usual glass of wine or soft drink, we were there on a Thursday which was grill night, so chose the Mixed Grill, which was served quickly and hot and served with a smile, the food is very good, and the staff are very friendly. Just love this pub.

Went on a Saturday night for a family / friends celebration. Booked for 14 but there was actually only 13 of us in the end. After placing our order a lady came from the kitchen to make sure we hadn't forgotten an order as the booking was for 14 which I thought was a nice touch. We where the only people eating at the time and all the orders came out together , all correct and piping hot . We had also taken our own celebration cake and the lady was happy to supply small plates and a knife for our use. All the meals where generously portioned and of a good standard. All of our party was happy with the fayre and at £65 for 8 adults and 5 children was great value for money.

Got to admit . We used to visit here all the time . It was never spectacular food but it is what it is for the money . The staff are always helpfull and polite when we have visited and its handy to bnm shopping .BUT........... here comes the but . Ive had a few meals their within the past 6 months and found them unimpressive and just poorly cooked . And tasteless .Sorry sutton fields . But you need to try harder .

Been diabetic and sugar low stopped for food,after ordering had an hours wait for dried out meat pie that I would feed a pig and because I complained was treat like a bad smell, staff unhelpful and rude would never go back again

Me and my husband come in this pub regularly. We have gone in with friends at our recommendation a few times and taken our family there too. Today however we were very disappointed. When all other pubs in the area are putting prices down this one has put them up. I fail to understand why as costs are not increasing. The menu has changed. My husband liked the steaks on skillets here. He asked the barman if they still came on skillets and was assured they did. It came on a cold plate. He could not eat it. He likes his food very hot but this was not the case so that spoilt his meal. When we walked in we thought it odd as there was not as many in as usual. Hope it is not going to be yet another pub being lost to the developers.

After visiting once before about 2 years ago and having the most horrible time. We decided to come again and I am so glad I gave this place another chance.The place was clean and tidy. the staff were warm and welcoming and service was great. Food came quickly and was yummy. couldn't fault anything. In fact it was so good we even asked about booking for Christmas Dinner. Unfortunately its already fully booked. Cannot wait to visit again

The gammon is always a hit , it is perfectly grilled , is thick and juicey served with egg or pineapple and chips , peas and tomatoe . A good range of beers is on offer and the pub also has sky sports , also it was good to watch rovers get nilled in the challange cup at Wembley

We paid £24 for a steak, sausages and mash and 2 pints. We wasn't waiting long, my sausages we're delicious however my husbands steak was very disappointing, there was no mustard, he asked for medium well done steak and got overly well done and the chips we're just oven chips he got bored of eating. Very clean and welcoming.

Wednesday 22/07/2015 1:00pm Me and my wife decided to have a mid week dinner out for a change a chose Sutton Fields we ordered our drinks and then ordered our food from the menu,we both chose the ultimate mixed grill and the steak cooked to our preferred choice which came with a drink of our choice from the list on the menu.10 minutes passed and we were given our knife and fork and garnishes,20 minutes later our meals arrived on non standard plates due to the size of the meal.It was very well presented and laid out on the plate and smelt appetising and looked lovely.The steak was cooked to our liking and the other meats were very easy to cut and eat.If you do fancy a mid week meal then visit this Pub/Eatery in my opinion you will not be disappointed with the menu choice.

Sunday lunch it came in a real big Yorkshire pudding the Yorkshire pudding was rock hard inedible the carrots were not good everything else was good told the lady when she cleared the plates and she said she wud tell them will not be going there again for Sunday lunch

This place serves your typical food grub! Nothing special. You get what you pay for here & id rather spend my money else where!

Arrived at 12:30pm 3/4/15 ordered the drinks while studying the menu,eventually we both decided on our meals my wife chose full mixed grilland i chose 10oz steak sizzler with chips and onion rings,20 minutes later they arrived the wifes mixed grill looked lively and my steak sizzler arrived still sizzling,both meals were cooked perfectly and the chef understood the individual steaks cooking request and full filled them to perfection.It is so nice to go into a bar/eatery where you can take your coat off sit in comfortable relaxing in comfortable chairs.Yes i will highly recommend Sutton Fields to all and will visit more in the future.well done to all management and staff.

We arrived at 12:05pm pub was lovely and warm and cozy,ordered two pints and found a comfortable place to sit,scoured the menu and decided on two beef Sunday lunches one std and one large,if you like big eats go for the Sunday lunch you won't have to eat for the rest of the week,we my wife and I found the service professional clean and direct and so was the meal,last time we were in there was approx 2yrs ago,really enjoyed today's visit.
