Sushisamba in City of London, Westminster

The food and service were excellent, with the staff explaining any dishes were were unsure about. We were 6 and so ordered a selection and shared. The only disappointment was the weather, the Gherkin Tower being shrouded in low cloud, so no other views.

We were very excited to dine at SUSHISAMBA London because of the beautiful location and breathtaking views – and it certainly did not disappoint. The ambiance is truly spectacular and offers a unique experience. Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing. Upon arrival, we were told that there were no tables available, while we could see online that reservations were still possible. Instead of helping us with a reservation or offering a solution, they reacted annoyed and made us book a table online ourselves. This did not feel welcoming and made us feel unwelcome. Eventually, after waiting half an hour, we were able to get a table. The food was also very disappointing. The dishes were tasteless, the hot dishes arrived lukewarm or even cold, and the menus were unclear and confusing. Given the high prices, we expected much more quality and refinement. This is clearly a restaurant that thrives on the hype and the location, not on the culinary experience. In addition, we were disappointed by the staff. We did not receive warm or friendly service and felt like we were being treated as a nuisance rather than a valued guest. This contributed to a less than pleasant atmosphere. All in all, SUSHISAMBA London is a nice place for the view, but definitely not recommended for the food or service. For us, this was a one-time experience – definitely not to be repeated.

The food at SUSHI SAMBA was absolutely amazing! We decided to share a bit of everything, and it was the perfect way to experience all the incredible flavours. For the rolls, we tried El Topo and Tiger Maki, and they were both fantastic—especially El Topo, which was an absolute standout for "warm" sushi. Then, we shared the Churrasco, and every cut of meat was incredibly tender, perfectly cooked, and paired with exquisite dips that elevated the experience even more. But the real surprise? The desserts! They completely stole the show. If you ever visit, do yourself a favor and order "Welcome to the Rainforest"—a chocolate crumble and vanilla ice cream masterpiece that’s incredibly light yet bursting with flavor. The mochis were also beautifully made and absolutely delicious. Our sever was almost extremely polite and helpful, which made our dinner all the better. Overall, an unforgettable meal, and we will definitely return more options from the menu!!

Tariq was amazing and gave the restaurant such a positive aura, very knowledgeable but wouldn’t hesitate to ask the bar staff if he didn’t know the exact answer. Also great hospitality and humour. 10/10

Great food but not sure about the service. In the booking the specifically asked if we were celebrating anything, which we as I booked this to celebrate our engagement as well as my fiancé’s birthday. I thought they’d at least say congrats to us, but no nothing special at all so why ask? The table next to us got a birthday dessert but we didn’t even get a word lol. We’d come here again maybe for a normal meal don’t recommend if you want to celebrate a special occasion.

We had a terrible experience, firstly no one came to take orders for over over 30mins after being seated, then it took 20mins to get our drinks and starters. Wishin 30mins after we were asked to leave, told that they need the table. When looked around there were a lot of tables which were empty and no one was waiting to be seated. In addition, we were never offered dessert which I was looking forward to. It had ruined the experience of dinning at sushisamba which a bill so high. The staff were rude. Very disappointed and left disheartened.

Everything was really amazing. Special mention to Sonia and Alexandra for their friendliness and kindness. Sonia helped us to choose our cocktails showing a perfect knowledge, and also she addressed us in Spanish having noticed that we are Spanish, and Alexandra helped us with the food selection. We had a perfect time for our anniversary and that’s for sure that we’ll be back very shortly. Thank you for providing such a great service.

I am really disappointed with my experience at Sushis Samba. The service frankly left something to be desired: the waitress was unpleasant. After an hour we were given the bill without asking. Despite it being a Sunday, the total absence of entertainment – ​​whereas with such high prices, one could at least expect the presence of a DJ or a live band – the sushi was far from exceptional. The quality absolutely does not justify the excessive price charged, especially since the restaurant imposes a compulsory tip of 15%, which is all the more difficult to accept when the service is not up to par. I ate the day before at Stick and Sushis, where the freshness and taste of the sushi were clearly superior. An experience that I do not recommend.

Super attentive to details, pro activating a person's sympathy. Your manager gave all the necessary support to turn our night into a blast. We'll be back for sure.

It's difficult to give a fairly objective point of view when you think about the bill... it's not just expensive, it's very, very expensive! The glasses in which the Cocktails are served are so small! You don't expect that when you see the price. The food, yes it is good but frankly it in no way justifies the price. We just pay for the atmosphere, the concept, the fact that it's trendy and that it's in London For two, €126

Really cool rooftop place! Sushi with arguably the best view in London. Given the location and the chic the prices are quite reasonable, flexible menu which is also appreciated. I recommend the lounge bar area rather than the restaurant as it’s less crowded and loud.

Dining at SUSHISAMBA was an unforgettable experience. The stunning views of London set the perfect backdrop for a meal that blends Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian flavors. The food was fresh and flavorful, with highlights like the black cod miso and wagyu gyoza. The cocktails were equally creative and delicious. While service slowed a bit during peak hours, the lively atmosphere and incredible food made up for it. A bit pricey, but definitely worth the experience!

We got the toro tiradito raw, heritage tomato salad, robata black cod, unagi temaki and would recommend them. Limonero & rainforest dessert were beautiful créations too. Sushi samba is better than duck & waffle IMHO ;-) Better balance of veggies and meats. But it is more $$$$ compared to duck & waffle. We got the view of the gherkin~ The wait staff are super friendly~ I would bring friends & family back here The sparkly bathroom floors are also a good design choice :-)

Visited in the summer, nice view of the city and loved the food, cocktails, and overall ambiance. However, the service in the outdoor area needs improvement. After moving to the balcony post-meal, no one came to take our order, which was disappointing.

We have been quite pleased particularly with the service level of Dhanashree, who served us with a warm smiling tone and body language during our stay and gratified our taste with her recommendations. Unique menu, reasonable pricing, lovely atmosphere and perfect service. Highly recommended.

Lovely setting. The drinks are good however we did go in the evening so the bar was quite busy. We had to sit outside but it was heated well and they had blankets so it was fine. If your going for drinks like us just make sure you take a coat if your going in the winter as there might not be seats inside.

Booked a table in the samba room to celebrate 6 months anniversary with my partner. When we got there (at 7:45, time or my booking) we got seated at the bar while our table was allegedly being getting ready. I welcomed that as it gave us a chance to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere and a glass of wine. The other people at the bar were collected one by one and taken to their tables, until it was only us left. It’s unusual but we go with it. 45 minutes go by, and I realise that something must be wrong. I ask a waitress if our table is ready, to which she replies “do you have a reservation?” which confirms to me that they had somehow forgotten about us. I explain that our booking was 45 minutes ago, and she goes to get a manager. Manager arrives, I re-explain the situation and she says she’d go to check if a table is available for us. One minute later she returns and says the only table is a small corner one just by the entrance of the room. Lacking any alternative, we take it. After seating we realise that the table has no menus, and it took us a good 5 minutes to be able to stop a waiter and ask for them. Menus arrive, and shortly after someone comes and takes our order. After ordering, the waitress goes “just to remind you, you only have one hour left of your booking”. Almost feeling like this is a prank, I once again explain the ordeal we went through and that we had just sat down at the table, to which the waitress goes “I’m just informing you of what it says in the system”. So far, really not the special night I was hoping for. The first two dishes arrive, and on the food I can only say it was superb. It’s 9:15 by now, and a different waitress comes around to say they’re taking last orders because the samba room closes at 9:45 to reopen at 10 as a club. We say that we’re still waiting on the rest of our food, and she says that it’s okay and that we can stay until we’re finished. The food arrives at around 9:40, and as we start eating, more waiters come in the room and start taking stools away and perform other activities to get the area ready to be a club, which made us feel like the place was shutting down around us and we had to hurry up. The closer we got to 10pm the more the waiters would look at us with the corner of their eyes, which made me feel like they were itching for us to leave so they could finish the prep. At 10 on the dot, as we had just finished eating, without asking for it, we’re brought the bill. Fully disappointed, I pay and we leave. Just sharing this feedback as I hope incidents like these can be reviewed and avoided in the future.

Incredible restaurant! I proposed to my fiancé here a few months ago. It was one of, if not the best, meals I've ever had in a restaurant. The food was fantastic, and authentic Peruvian (I live in South America, where my fiancé is from). The value was also great, not that much more expensive than a basic meal out in London. The location and view are stunning. The real highlight was the service, our server was Andrea, she was very helpful in every aspect, she even took a video of us while I proposed (sorry for the late review). Followed by a round of applause from the whole restaurant. We also were given free glasses of champagne for the special occasion. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant, for special occasions or even just a nice meal out. Wear something nice and enjoy the city lights at night!

We booked a table at Sushi Room (Bar and Lounge) but were disappointed that there was no city view. While the food was good, I personally found it overpriced for what you get. On the positive side, the service was excellent.

Amazing experience! We had our anniversary dinner here and we had the vegetarian and the crab taquitos, the nigiri omakase, the tiger maki samba roll, and the california samba roll. The food was incredible, and I had the Jalisco iced tea while my husband got the lychee cooler. The Jalisco iced tea has a very smoky flavor, but was still refreshing, while the lychee cooler was creamy and sweet. We also got a scoop of rum ice cream for dessert and they wrote happy anniversary on the plate which was very thoughtful. Our view was fantastic and our waiter, Maxim, was great and attentive. Thank you for a night we will never forget!

Lively environment, tasty, unique take on sushi

The best sushi we’ve ever had. Enjoyed eating our lunch on cloud 39. Special thanks to Zik who took a good care of us and recommended a nice selection of sushi. We’ve had a good time and will be returning in the future.

Food was ok but nothing to write home about. Service was a disaster - didn’t deliver one dish then waitress kept looking at her watch and reminding us that we only had 90minutes (we had loads of time and finished our meal in easily less than that). Awful experience considering we spent close to £300 between the two of us (insta-kids next to us spent way less and were allowed to stay for well over 90mins!!).

We had hoped to enjoy the bar, but unfortunately, there was a private event, so we couldn't have pre-drinks before we sat for dinner. Nonetheless, we had an enjoyable time. Taking the lift up offers a lovely glimpse of the city, but walk into the main dining area to enjoy the full spectacle. We lost track of time as we were having so much fun and even managed to throw a few shapes, shu shu shuing to the DJ's tunes :) All the drinks and food were absolutely delicious, and as expected, the prices reflected the quality.

This Place is amazing. I told the staff I was gonna do a marriage proposal to my girlfriend and they kept a table with a view for me. The waiter Andreea was super kind and they also offered us a drink and a congratulations muffin. The food is excellent, don't expect to taste much sushi with the fixed menu because as you can read it's a mix of dishes. In Italy we would never eat meat and fish together so I was very surprised everything went along well together. Yes it's a bit pricey, but you pay for the view, the place, the super kind and professional staff, the food and THE VIBE. Will definetely come back.

After a night out, I was looking for a late-night bite that wouldn’t leave me feeling guilty, and Sushi Samba was the perfect find! My friend and I were warmly welcomed by our lovely waitress, Melissa, whose energy was unmatched and recommendations were spot on. We enjoyed the crispy taquitos, El Topo, and Wagyu gyoza—each dish was packed with flavour. My only regret? Not ordering more! A must-visit to end any night in style.
