Sushi Magic Bar in Doncaster

Will have to give 1 star for the following reason: I attempted to visit the place on January 23rd to celebrate my birthday. The place was closed completely. [Even though the website said that it was open] There was no social media updates that the place was closed for the day. I was able to find some sushi at Morrisons but it is shame that there was poor communication about the place being open/closed.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Previous reviews confirm what a shambles this place is. Ordered through deliveroo, they failed to deliver and told deliveroo that it had been delivered therefor I could not get my refund! They are dishonest and steal money through the guise of deliveroo! They have never answered my call when I try to dispute this.

Absolutely would 100% not recommend. I never write reviews but I had to. The food came cold and I only ordered one dish. It came with veg which I asked not to. The Raman juice was just pure salt and overall would never eat there again!!! Ordered it off just eat

Had to wait a long time for my order but food was fresh so didn't mind so much. Brilliant sushi but just needs a little more seasoning

Great service, lovely staff and amazing food. Even with a slight mishap they helped resolve it immediately and the woman on the phone was absolutely phenomenal and very patient.

strange experience as i saw 2 employees playing with a flesh light, but apart from that the katsu curry and the sushi was nice and had really friendly service (not flesh light related)

Absolutely the best sushi I've had so far! So fresh and amazing delivery time! Rice was dry and not sticky how it was meant to be, it was just crumbling apart and the salmon was not fresh at all it just tasted weird, they forgot part of my order

Unfortunately, I have not had a good experience with this restaurant. The first time I ordered, the food was about 15 minutes late. The second time I ordered, on a particularly hot summer day, the food was "on the way" (I assume in the car) for over 50 minutes! I expressed my concerns to the restaurant and wanted to cancel out of concern that I was going to be served warm sushi. They insisted on delivering it and when the sushi finally arrived they said not to worry as it had been in the "fridge". Upon opening the sushi orders, both were dangerously warm - I had to throw them away. Shame really, the food is okay considering how limited sushi options are in the area but will no longer risk it here...

Extremely bland. Unseasoned rice and dry. Flavours were weak. Prawn tempura wasn't crispy was more wet. Covered sushi in mayonnaise way too much mayo. Not cheap ether

Not the best, not the worst. Little disappointed the hot food came cold. Sushi was great though.

Placed the order at 6.30, arrived at 9.15. Got told they were really busy. If you're too busy then stop taking orders and dont have people waiting nearly 3 hours for their food. The pork gyozas were terrible and after having to heat up the katsu chicken ramen soup, where the chicken breast must have been off a dwarf chicken, I ended up throwing it in the bin as it was terrible. What a complete waste of money and time. There should be an option to give no stars as they don't even deserve 1 star. Steer clear and order from somewhere else. Terrible.

Food is good but delivery is ridiculous! Ordered at 8:25pm food arrived 22:57pm! I suggest picking the food up. Not good enough!

The grilled salmon ramen was really flavourless. The noodles were undercooked. Only good thing was the sashimi.

Complete surprise. Having just moved from Sheffield City Centre, we were spoilt for choice of Sushi restaurants all good enough quality. Doncaster seemed a difficult comparison where we were slightly anxious about the only sushi place in Doncaster. We were completely surprised. The food is very very good. Completely rivals the city restaurants. Flavours very comparable to Let's Sushi in Sheffield. Cute shop with friendly and personal service. Food served well presented and good portion sizes. Reasonable price and flavours tasty and authentic. There are some items I'd expect on a more extensive menu missing, but I think they are concentrating on what they can achieve a good quality at - which I commend. Give this place a try for sure.

Had a great platter of sushi, sashimi and hot food for my sons 11th birthday, great communication, payment by cash or bank transfer only at moment, food fresh and delicious expertly done

Apparently looks completely average or above, but after buying food with some concerns, I must say food is absolutely good.

Order for the second time today The first time was perfect the food arrived after around an hour which is acceptable for sushi Today I placed an order at around 15 30. Its now 18 20 and the food JUST arrived and things are missing Food is good, not worth the almost 3 hour wait

Delicious, will definetly be ordering again. Tastes fresh and looks beautiful. My only complaint would be the lack of soy sauce, its not very salty on its own so i feel like it needs the soy sauce.

Waited over an hour for the delivery time. Still waiting 30 mins after the set delivery time. I have called the restaurant and they said it would be 2 minutes and it is not here 10 mins later

Delicious food ! I tried the Rainbow Sky Roll and I can say it's some of the best sushi i've tried. The delivery driver was involved in a slight accident, and despite this they did everything they could to get our food to us. No faults to be had and my thoughts go out to the driver, I hope they're safe and well

The sushi was delicious, fresh, with carefully selected ingredients and a unique flavor. I recommend and will definitely go back there

Just recently moved to Doncaster, I'm a big sushi lover. In grimsby where I from from have something called 'sushi to your door' never ordered it tho. But just order from here nicest sushi I've ever tried. Will definitely be ordering again! :)

Love this place. Have ordered twice since opening and been very happy both times. Great to have tasty sushi in Doncaster and the katsu chicken is delicious too! Staff really lovely whenever I have been to collect

Tried to order online just eat, food never arrived and they marked it as arrived at the end of the estimated delivery time. When i rang them i was fed lies about the driver being on the way already even though on my second call the person told me the driver had only just left 16 minutes after the first call. never got to try the food and order was cancelled was couldn't leave a review on just eat. I might try this place again if they get decent reviews but for now no sushi in doncaster.

It's okay but nothing special, don't think they used any flavourings in the rice which can make sushi really bland. They also don't deliver very far I only live a couple of miles away and they've taken my area off the delivery options.

Great sushi, really enjoyed the Chicken gyozas and miso soup as well. All for a reasonable price and so convenient to have locally. Much appreciated!

Absolutely amazing will definitely order again

This is my first time writing a bad review. Waited 2hr and 20mins after placing order. Only to be disappointed even more with the quality of sushi. The rice is literally mushy. Worst sushi ever.

Very impressed with the food. Ordered plenty of sushi and some chicken gyozas. So happy with the outcome. The food is great and I will definitely be ordering again. Thank you for a great experience. You have left a great first impression on me and I will be back. Thanks again!
