Sushi & Bento House in Rochford

Food was lovely!!!! Server had very little command of the English language which was really disappointing because I had several issues which couldn't be resolved. I don't know what I ended up paying for as they didn't give me a receipt and couldn't communicate it to me.

Really not authentic at all. If you order here stick to the salmon.

I took my mum here for some lunch (we love Japanese food) and we we're not disappointed. The staff were friendly and the food was very tasty. My mum is a good critic as she was brought up in Japan! We will be visiting again.

Low score because of the bao bun abomination £7.99 I’ll let you compare the photo on the menu and what I got delivered- also I hate lettuce 🥬 not in the menu pic but the bao buns were full of it - gross

2nd time ordering from this place! Food is so good and customer service was 10/10. First time i ordered i didnt have the best experience but they gave me a voucher and everything was perfect after that. Will definitely be ordering a 3rd time!👍

Delicious, fresh sushi. Really friendly service if you engage in conversation with them. Have been going here for over a year and it’s always consistently great. Delivery and collection both good. My son gives it 11 out of 10!

Food was freezing cold. Called the restaurant and they didn’t care, weren’t interested in resolving the issue. Was also missing an item and they just ignored that. Weren’t willing to refund me for the missing item or have the driver send it to me. Food was late and lied when they said they were calling the driver as I was still on the phone to them. Please avoid.

AMAZING food - quick delivery, def order again

So it was my 1st time ordering from here and I ordered delivery. The lady that took my call was called Libby and her customer service is unbelievable. I would highly recommend the food from here and I think Libby should get a pay rise. Once again, amazing customer service form Libby!!✌️

The lady on the phone was really apologetic however I ordered at 18:13 delivery was supposed to be between 19:00 - 19:20 it didn’t arrive until 19:48!!!! If I had know they were under staffed would have waited to order for another day rather than wait over an hour and half.

Got this for my 4 and 3 year old as a treat tonight and they loved it! They loved that it came with chopsticks too and to my surprise they knew how to use them very well! I know where to get our sushi cravings from, from now on absolutely lush x

Turned up late. I still tipped, then found something was missing from the order. Called up the restaurant to tell them. They said they would provide a refund. I had paid cash. No refund nor missing item turned up. Not very impressed as feel like my money was taken for something I didn’t receive plus they got a tip so I’m down by over a tenner as I’d want my tip back after this

The order said out for delivery for 30 minutes, so we rang the restaurant and they said still out for delivery. was a further 10 minutes (now 20 minutes late) and turned up cold. so must have done multiple other orders pre delivering ours

Worst ever for the price. No pickled ginger, no teriyaki and one small sachet of soy sauce. So disappointing.

Been here several times and food is typically pretty good. The quality and presentation varies a little, sometimes the food is a little soggy and whatnot (although this could be partly down to delivery) but the sushi is always nice! It's on the more expensive side, but it's sushi and to be expected. Delivery times are often later than suggested in my experience.

Super unwell and the only place that offer noodles soup so made an order via JustEat and call to request no sesame oil/seeds due to mild allergies. Staff said it was fine but then cancelled my order. I’d understand if they cannot cater for those with allergies but could of advice instead of agreeing, then cancel my order. Very unprofessional.

Absolutely amazing food, highly recommended to anyone. I've been coming here for a few years and the food has always been fantastic my personal favourite is the bento boxes amazing staff always polite and really nice indoor seating.

I am a regular customer of sushi and bento house, I placed an order here on Uber eats, I then received a message saying they did not have some of the items I ordered. Why sell something you don’t have? After an error on Uber eats where I selected the wrong item, I called the restaurant to get it changed. They then proceeded to tell me they had no current drivers to deliver my food!! I asked them to cancel as they didn’t have the items I wanted and I did not want to wait up to an hour or more for my order. I was then charged for an order I did not receive! This is the second issue I have had now, and I would not recommend this place. Poor service on the restaurants side, extremely disappointed and won’t be ordering again.
