Surf & Turf Restaurant @ Millers in East Devon

We have just enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal here. The flavour of the creamy garlic mushrooms was so rich and almost meaty, the broccoli soup was lovely and we both enjoyed the liver with creamy mash and lots of nice fresh vegetables. Lynne was friendly and attentive and Andy is an accomplished chef. We would definitely return.

Was the best steak I have had for years. The T-bone was amazing. Soooo tasty. The staff were brilliant.I highly recommended this establishment. First class.

Had a fantastic evening here last night . Food was presented beautifully and was so delicious. Andy and lynne are a lovely couple and so welcoming and friendly. One person in our group has a nut allergy and Andy reassured him so much on his food . He even ordered a dessert , which is very very rare ! Thank you both so much . We will be back again soon

5 of us had a lovely meal here. The waitress service was excellent, not too push, gave us time to let our food go down between courses. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and the tables are beautifully set up. We had nachos to start, followed by belly pork, lambs liver and bacon, lasagne and 2 of our part had pasta For dessert we had lemon tart, with clotted cream, one of our party had chocolate brownie, with Oreo ice cream, made by Andy the owner. All of the food was freshly prepared, and expertly presented. Nothing was too much trouble This is a gem of a place Independently owned by Linda and Andy Thankyou for making our evening so enjoyable. We'll definitely be back. As my niece said "We saved the best 'til last" Also.....the ladies and gentlemen's toilets were impeccably clean

Beautiful food. Busy Saturday early evening, able to park outside. Service coped well. Would have liked an itemised bill for the 7 people in our group.

Brilliant service in a brilliant atmosphere. Andy and Lynne are very welcoming and the food is all freshly prepared. Great British meals and at a reasonable price. It's a refreshing change to have a handmade pie for pudding rather than all the generic stuff you get elsewhere. Keep up the good work!

A truly special restaurant run by lovely people who haven’t overlooked a single detail. You can see they thought and soul that have gone in to everything. Good and drinks exceptional and we are looking forward to coming back.

We visited for our anniversary and were very impressed by the quality of the food and service. The whitebait starter was as good as a main course but all the food was well prepared and served. The restaurant had a nice feeling and the staff were friendly and efficient.

We were so pleased we chose to go here. Lynne and Andy are so friendly and made us so welcome. The whitebait was a delicious starter and plenty for sharing. I had the belly of pork which melted in the mouth and my husband said his sea bass was the best he's had. If we hadn't been going to the theatre we would have stayed for the cheese plate and another glass of the great Shiraz!

Our second visit due to a first great experience. However this time was very disappointing. Luke warm food instant mash a frozen vegetables. How this is rated as 4.5 stars is beyond me and my friends. I will never be visiting again. If you want a good meal the Himalayan restaurant a few doors away is amazing and reasonably priced.

Classy cooking.Had a starters ,mains and sweets and all our meals were really good.

Wow, what a great surprise this turned out to be, we liked the menu so went in...couldn't have been better , lovely polite staff Andys wife and Lauren , and Andys creation with his food was outstanding , he obviously has a passion to create an outstanding plate of food for everyone who walks in through the door of his restaraunt. Will definitely be visiting again and have already recommended to many friends.

Great meal and service well worth a visit

We absolutely loved our meal here on our honeymoon staycation. We both had steak which was cooked to perfection and I was a particular fan of the side order of caesar salad! Great food and good attentive service

Best restaurant in Exmouth food was out of this world. Absolutely amazing. Best meal I have had in a restaurant for many a year. Drinks are a tad expensive but a must to try. Toilets are better than any hotel I have been in. Grea experience if we go back to Exmouth will make a b line for surf and turf.

Very friendly and inviting. Felt very safe during these current times all guests were asked to sanitise. Tables separated by perspex but done in away that you still felt part of the restaurants atmosphere. Each table had small bottle of sanitiser. Food and drink excellent and delicious, good value for money.

Wow! The food at surf and turf was second to none - out food was very tasty, very well cooked and presented and plenty of it. The staff are amazing very pleasant and very accommodating - great cleaning etiquette by making sure to clean tables and legs and the same the with the chairs and legs as people leave the restaurant. The ambiance is very friendly and and the decor Modern, very tastefully and keeping in with the restaurant name and reasonable prices. We were totally impressed.

Fabulous food and very reasonably priced menu. Andrew and Lynne know their way Around the restaurant trade and always offer quality food their customers want. Both our meals were superb and will definitely be taking friends next time. Salted caramel ice cream was something else.

Pretty average, there is amazing food to be had in Exmouth, not here though. A mundane experience, strange styling to boot. Not warm enough really either. Good effort on the covid cinema if you like that sort of thing

Fab, everything is so well cooked. I take my wife there just because she likes the mashed potatoes and I like the vegetables of any mains. It's worth every penny. I'm not a big fan of traditional British food, unless it involves a curry, but I'm slowly eating my way through the choices on the menu. Indeed try the custard; ice cream or cream with the sticky toffee pudding... so must go back there again to try the other two options. Well done to the kitchen staff and excellent front of house service. Хвала! Шивели!!

A little gem; superbly cooked and presented food, with a solid menu and drinks range without being prententious. Refreshingly low ambient noise.

Lovely food and very good value for money. Between us we had a chicken breast, pork belly and steak and kidney pudding, all delicious and generous portion sizes. Very friendly and welcoming, proper cooking, definitely recommend.

The staff here are Amazing. The food is Fantastic. This is the 3rd time I've been here. Every time i go to visit my family here i insist we go as the whole experience is just so good. If you are looking for a great restaurant at reasonable prices with brilliant service this is definitely the place to go. Thank you Andy and Lynne you and your staff are awesome.

What a gem of a place. Run by husband and wife team Andy and Lynne, Andy knows his way around a kitchen and is as at ease with both fish and liver as his wife is with regular patrons or visitors to the area who hadn't booked. We had gone out for a casual bite to eat and felt distinctly underdressed as we entered but were soon put at ease by Lynne as she ran through the menu and specials. By the time the meal was over we felt as if we had known her for years yet we had enjoyed a quiet, intimate dinner with few interruptions. A natural hostess fronting a wonderful restaurant.

Maybe it was our taste but I didn't rate the food at all. We went because of the rating but wouldn't visit again. The carrot soup was so sweet it was more like custard. The sauces on both our main courses were the same even though we ordered totally different dishes. The veg was bland, like a mixed frozen bag type thing. The staff were friendly and the service was great but the food was not the best when we went. Sorry but we wouldn't go again.

Myself and my friend came in for some dinner on our first night of a week's stay in Exmouth, it wasn't the last. Staff are wonderful and so is the food all set in a silver screen type setting. Its absolutely worth a visit.

Just had a fantastic meal here. Everyone in a group of 11 people enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Food cooked to perfection and presented superbly. Staff were superb and attentive. Toilets immaculate. Could not fault.I would highly recommend a visit here. If I could give it more stars I would.

We've never had a bad meal at Millers. It's just good unpretentious, well cooked and nicely served food. The price is OK too. Two courses with drinks for two of us for £50.

Went to Millers with friends to celebrate a birthday on Saturday night & we all thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. The food was excellent, the hosts attentive but not in your face & the atmosphere perfect. Looking forward to going back soon.
