What a wonderful place! Small, intimate cafe serving beautiful Indian vegan food. Such a good menu with a great choice. The thali was incredible. 6 curries, rice and vegan yoghurt with 2 breads . Each curry was a delight, with a different flavour and so tasty. Highly recommended and worth the trip. I came on a Sunday afternoon from Nottingham on the train. Get off at Beeston and walk over the railway bridge, turn left and onto Lilac Crescent. Do it! Can't wait to go back with friends next time.

Absolutely wonderful dinner here! We couldn't decide what to order so went for the sharing plate following by the thaali, which we also shared. The sharing plate had a great mix of classics with beautiful mango chutney and a mint sauce. All delicious, not overloaded with spice and incredibly, no grease. Not an easy feat when almost everything has to be fried! The home made vegan paneer is a must - you need to order something with this! The thaali was fabulous. We loved trying all of the curries. These are all unique, definitely focus on rich flavours rather than heavy spice. You feel completely immersed! I can't remember the last time I had such authentic feeling curries. Rice and the flatbreads were cooked perfectly. Even though we were full, we had to try the puddings! Cheesecake and a mango cupcake. Worth having these even if you've already eaten plenty! Only a few minutes walk from Beeston train station, this restaurant is absolutely worth taking the time to visit. Great service from a friendly team, light and bright premises and just the best food.

100% vegan Indian restaurant 🇮🇳🌱 🌱 SuRano is located in Beeston & run by cousins Rano and Rita. 🌱 I’ve heard so many wonderful things about SuRano since its opening & I’ve followed their story & success with great interest. SuRano was born after Rano suffered a brain haemorrhage & stroke in 2018 & couldn’t return to her career as a financial advisor. 🌱 We was blown away by the wonderful choice & quality of options. Rano clearly tries to balance stunning authentic Punjabi dishes made in a healthy way & using superfood ingredients. Much of the menu is gluten free too. 🌱 Rano has created a vegan version of paneer called ‘planeer’ & it’s incredible! The texture & the taste was just perfect and it worked so well within the curries & the Planeer spring rolls. Honestly if you come for nothing else, you have to try this. It’s the first time I’ve ever been to an Indian restaurant & they’ve used a plant based paneer.. 🌱 The menu is a wonderful mix of small plates street food, authentic punjabi dishes & speciality dishes. SuRano has a small seating area inside & additional seating outside. They also have a roaring takeaway trade. 🌱 What we had: 🌱SuRano signature street food platter - a mixed selection of Planeer spring rolls, keema samosas, aloo tikka & beetroot superfood pakoras & chutneys 🌱 Thaali - a selection of all the Punjabi dishes served with cucumber raita, lacha onions & beautiful breads. 🌱 We absolutely loved everything but if you visit you MUST try the Planeer spring rolls (literally the best spring rolls I’ve ever eaten in my life) & the aloo tikka. I’d also highly recommend the Thaali. We shared this between the two of us & there was still plenty. The best thing about the Thaali is you get to try a bit of everything. 🌱 Aside of the incredible food, the service was nothing short of outstanding. Rano and Rita couldn’t do enough for us & their other customers, I can see why they have such a loyal fanbase. They are so welcoming. If you haven’t been yet, I can’t recommend this highly enough, we for one will definitely be back! Our only disappointment was not coming sooner.
