Super Chef-Wok in Southampton

Chose this place at random because we felt like some Chinese on the way home from somewhere. Ordered online and went to collect, and it was ready when we arrived. Not cheap, but good portions and all the dishes we ordered tasted nice. Very happy, will probably order from here next time.

far too early; if ordering for delivery in 1 hr its inconvenient to receive it in 30 mins

I love Super Chef. Best Chinese delivery restaurant I've ever had and if there is ever an issue (which is rare) they sort it fast. food is so tasty, good portions, always really fresh, especially prawns which gives me confidence with their food hygiene standards. my guests are always super impressed when I order and say its best they've had too. I'm not being paid for this review, but they're welcome to throw in some free battered prawns with sweetnsour sauce next order lol. thanks Super Chef x

Best Chinese curry I've had - aromatic and tasty, was a great sized portion. Affordable menu too. Heavily recommend and will be using again. Only negative was that the satay chi Ken didn't have enough sauce, and had lots of onions in it. Doesn't mix well with the sauce.

The seafood platter was awful. Do not order, soft prawn toast, horrible prawns, stuffed crabs are atrocious. Disgusting. Boyfriend liked the duck so hence the one star :)

food was hot and tasted good. the only reason not a five star is because the prawn crackers tasted bad and the chicken balls were quite greasy .

We have ordered from this Chinese before and the food has been really nice. This evening we ordered two Mongolian lamb in wraps, which are not cheap. The meat was dry and tasteless. I also ordered chicken balls, the meat what not white and the batter was disgusting. I am really disappointed and we won’t be ordering here again

One of the worst Chinese meals I have ever had. Everything was vile. Rice smelt off, ribs were tough, chicken balls were soggy and tasteless, the chowmein was slimy and clearly not made fresh

I put for my order to arrive at 1940 as that's when I wanted to eat. it arrived at 1840. Annoying as I was not ready to eat at that time but then had to.

The delivery driver was rude, and 45 minutes late and food was cold I want a full refund!!!

Normally order from here and had some really good experiences in the past! Past couple of times we've ordered it's not been great. We ordered a few different things and most of it was very bland so quite disappointed ☹️

Crispy aromatic duck came with more bones than duck, pancakes were not foldable. Thai green curry you could drink through a straw. Seafood made friend sick. Tried calling but no answer and no return call.

2nd time ordering from here. disappointed food not like the First time. very tough chicken (in separate dishes) and food arrived barely warm yet arrived very quickly so assume it left kitchen that way. possibly not reheated enough to be hot yet so much chicken was very tough. shame

Driver, had an issue with parking the car downstairs, it is not my choice if my food is delivered by car, cycle or train, or other transportation , my address is as specified and shows on the order and with comments to 5th floor, he was not locked out.cwe have a reception desk too. Who let him in.. I will not collect , my order in a parking space. Or anywhere else if I paid a delivery fee. No tip for sure this time too.what an insult.

Special fried rice does not state that it contains prawns however arrived with prawns in it which meant I couldn’t eat it

The chips aren’t even cooked!!! They are white and hard in the middle! Almost half frozen! delivery time took 40 mins!!! And it doesn’t take 40 mins from mine to Shirley! Ages for this Chinese for it to be old, and uncooked

I’m vegan so naturally ordered the tofu only to find I had eaten some duck too. Disgusted to say the least, restaurants/kitchens seem to have no care anymore. I feel violated to say the least will never be returning again.

Estimated delivery 19:25 - 19:45. After my phone call intervation food delivery is at 20:15

Waited 2 hours for a take away for 1, phones up to see how long it would be since it went way over estimated time to be spoken to by a very rude man. Have been going here forever so very disappointed. When the food finally arrived, let’s just say, it was not worth the wait. Didn’t offer anything as an apology.

The food was unbelievably bland, Rice was like porridge, shredded beef was like shredded air and the curry sauce was like a Hartleys Jelly pot. Not worth your money!

Ordered at 6pm for 7:35 delivery. Phoned at 8pm and they weren’t sure what was going on. I wonder if they forgot about the order, but was told “10-15 mins” to arrive. Eventually arrived at about 8:30pm (just before we gave up and ordered from somewhere else. Food was reasonably hot, and ok quality. Nothing special but not bad.

Food came much quicker than expected-however tracking didn’t

30 mins walk-in around in the rain looking for the delivery man and he went past three times awful delivery food got binned. It was so cold couldn’t eat it !!! Called and phone put down

Ordered on a Sunday night but definitely tasted like leftover Saturday night food. Prawn crackers with soft and stale. Wouldn’t recommend wasting money here.

Would never have a delivery from them again, they called me to come down from my flat, because they can't be bothered to come up to me! If they want a tip then here it is, don't ever do that again!!!

Food is always good and fresh. Collection time is earlier than predicted, which is a bonus when you're hungry. 😀
