Large chips and curry sauce just short of £7!! Chips Luke warm and floppy. Uck! Threw them in the bin. Absolutely stinks of old fat round the back as well.

The chips were amazing and the fish was delicious! Portion sizes were huge for the cost. Perfect for fish and chips by the sea! Unfortunately didn’t get to try the Chinese but I’m sure it is just as tasty!

Best Chinese food ever! I have had a few Chinese takeaways in my time but this is by far the best Chinese. Singapore chowmein and yung chow fried rice = lush! 😎

The best Chinese food in Somerset! Used them & enjoyed there food for years, Always freshly cooked, piping hot & full of flavour on all the dishes we’ve had , friendly & welcoming staff , only one problem they are closed throughout the winter season so we have to put up with second best in burnham-on sea ! We always recommend and will continue to do so 👍

The bbq ribs are lovely had a mixture of both chinese and english all lovely even though they do to order the wait was not long

One of the best Chinese meals I’ve had. Beef curry egg fried rice was lovely. Partner said it was the best Chicken chow mein he’d had. Chips were very nice too. We will definitely be back for more next time we are in Brean.

Great Chinese situated next to Warren Farm holiday park. We had 2 takeaway meals from there which were nice and great value for money.

The first issue was I started queuing on the left by the left hand door only to be told it was the right hand door. Thereafter it was quite amusing and annoying to see everyone else make exactly the same mistake. The right hand door said ‘out’ on it so only natural people would try to queue on the left. Sort the signage out please ;-). As for the food, I never expect much from Brean eateries because the clientele have low standards overall I think but this wasn’t bad for the quite reasonable price. The chicken burger was cheap at £4 but they could have done better than just a plain, dry bun with a burger slapped inside.

Always great food and very friendly , I have known them for years , remember this is not open on a Tuesday

Great Chinese take away food highly recommend the beef chowmain and salt and pepper squid. But lots of choice and piping hot so made to order.

Ordered by phone, as always such a queue (which is a good sign obviously) and food was ready at the time stated. Thank you.

Late home for work decided to grab a take away. I thought £5.20 for a pie and chips was expensive but was hungry., and we do live in a tourist location. The chips were lovely but the pie had obviously been cooked hours ago or reheated from lunchtime. The filling was dried up and the pastry rock hard. At this price I would at least the food to be fresh.

Thank goodness for this takeaway! We didn't like the Beachcomber at all and were staying at Warren Farm, so we were very grateful to have this takeaway where we could get chinese for us and burger and nuggets for the kids and take back to our tent. Really good food and good service even though they were super busy.

We tried the Chinese food, and the fish and chips during our recent trip to Brean, and both were really good. The batter on the fish was particularly nice and crispy. I would definitely recommend.

On a wet night in Brean Sands do you want to cook? My answer was “no”. Normally in seaside areas like this you may not be too optimistic, but this was really excellent, hot and great taste. Well worth a visit if staying locally.

Their chips spring roll and curry sauces a lovely meal, but the curry sauce is the best I’ve every had and it’s consistently good not watered down by the end of the week, it is the same consistency at the beginning of the week as the end. The spring rolls are nice and big full of bean sprouts and chicken all very nice.

Not bad takeaway, pricing fine but all a bit under seasoned for me. Prepare to queue, or call ahead.

Had a mixture of things for the family. Food was surprisingly good for a general takeaway. Was very busy the night we picked up, ordered by phone earlier.

Lovely Chinese gets very busy though tried phoning for ages and couldn’t get through so had to go down and order . Food was really good will try again if in the area again

We camped at Warren Farm so this was in the ideal location for us when not wanting to cook. As a group of 13 of us, we all ordered takeaway separately and were served in no time! Food was delicious - chinese and chippy! Which catered for us all!Would recommend a visit if you aren't wanting to cook! Because of Covid restrictions, you order and stand outside - wasn't an issue for us, and a need's must atm really!Only issue we found was their card machine wasn't working, so had to go grab some cash from the shop up the road.

AwfulThe chip shop don't answer the phone so you can't pre order, you have to order then stand outside in the freezing cold waiting for it.There were customers there kicking off because they hadn't been given all their food but the owner wouldn't help atall insisting they were not having a refund for the missing food or being given the food. The food isn't great atall.The owner is really really rude and ignorant, she clearly doesn't trust her staff as she's not paying attention to what she should be doing and is to busy watching them making the wait even longer!Will not be going back!Don't know how these reviews are this good.

Was recommended this place by a family member. And ended up going a few times in 2020. Will be back for 2021. Lovely hot fresh food. Plenty of choice. All the family enjoyed it. And my favorate place for sweet and sour chicken.All at a good price

You won’t find a better quality fish and chips anywhere in this part of Somerset. The batter on the fish was dry and crispy and the chips were nice and non greasy.A beautiful meal, I must say I only make comments if the quality is of a high or very low standard.I would rate this business a 5 Star company and the staff are very nice and friendly.

We visited here on the evening of Friday the 4th September 2020 for a Chinese Takeaway. Given this take-aways location, on the verge of a large caravan site, and a global pandemic we weren’t expecting much, but boy were we proved wrong. The food was absolutely delicious. Full on genuine oriental flavours and great portion sizes too. The only drawback was that their COVID-19 queuing system was a little ramshackle and badly managed. Top marks for the food though. We will definitely be back.

Worst Chinese ever! House special Chou Mein is the worst dish ever. Try not to waste your money here.

If you go here stick to the fish and chips because Chinese is not their forte. I should have taken notice of the distance learning hygiene diploma. Puke 🤮

this review covers two visits one for chinese the other for fish and chips.the first visit was for fish and chips which were better than last time batter was a bit hard but was ok the chips was ok.the second was chinese we ordered the set menu for two plenty enough for two and was good

Ordered a special curry and chicken in bbq sauce.The curry had no taste to it at all and I’m not sure you could call the chicken (chicken) was bland and the sauce looked like boiled sink water.Oh I forgot I ordered some chips they were ok .

It’s down the quiet end of the brean strip , but well worth the trip , follow the sighns for brean down & it’s next to the brean down inn ( another good place) , we’ve never had anything other than Chinese food from here even though they do fish & chips etc , as soon as you walk in your greeted with a smile & a friendly hello , the different flavours can be Smelt as you approach the building , always freshly cooked , my favourite dish chicken & mushrooms in a spicy sauce, ribs are nice and meaty as well , loads more dishes to try

I ordered a standard chicken curry with egg fried rice. The food was ready fairly quickly (too quickly to be cooked fresh). It wasn't until I got the food back to eat it that I realised the chicken was barely cooked and was pretty much like rubber. The chicken curry was just chicken in a standard curry sauce with a few onions. Definitely not what I expected for the price. I took the food back to the takeaway and took the manager to one side to discreetly show her the chicken. She then told me that the chicken was fine and began eating it in front of all the customers and said this is perfectly cooked. As a 34 year old who has eaten a lot of chicken, I can assure you it wasn't. I couldn't even cut through it with a knife. Anyway after a couple of minutes of arguing about the quality of the food she told me that I could order something else. I was quite concerned that she couldn't admit that her chicken wasn't cooked properly. I won't be going back!

Staff are great very friendly, food was cooked to order and tasted great. 100% the best Chinese food i have ever had.

We decided to get food from a fish and chip shop to eat on the beach.We eventually came to Sunnyside.The take away was fairly busy, with people coming in to collect phone orders, so understandably we had to wait. This take away also serves Chinese food, but cannot comment on that as we did not try it. There were also customers waiting who appeared to be regulars as were known by staff, so guess some people are satisfied with their orders.We, however were disappointed. The chips were greasy and the chicken was over cooked and very dry. Would we go there again - sorry, most unlikely.

Nice hot food reasonably priced wide choice on menu you can choose chinese or english not long waiting for food to be cooked will use again.

We ate from sunny side twice with takeaways and the food was cooked on time as phone ordered and ready and waiting when we got there, can’t fault chips one time we’re a little dry but still tasty and that’s down to my liking apart from that a must try

had lovely fish and chips for two last saturday really nice crispy batter nice looking fish all white always a queue so you know its going to be nice had to wait about 10 mins altogether but worth the wait chattered to some nice people hubby waited on the bench outside then we took them back to our caravan will be going back here very soon might even try a curry next time

Another year another visit this time we ordered the meal for two we was pleasantly surprised to find it was good, just wish it wasn't so pricey.

We have in the past had great curries from here but decided to try something different. We phone and ordered Singapore chow mein and Singapore fried rice and then collected 15 minutes later. We were greeted with a friendly acknowledgement and thanked for our order. Drove back to Warren Farm and sat down to excellent food. A piping hot and very tasty large portion of both. We struggled to finish the meal but it was too good to leave.

Great chips and curry sauce, fish ok, but a massive wait on Friday so recommend you order ahead but even then be prepared to queue. Worth the wait.

Service great, staff friendly. We had chicken curry, shrimp chow mein, chicken mushrooms and chips and really enjoyed everything. Piping hot, beautiful tasting, would orde from here again, no worries

Visited after a day on the beach. Was a bit wary as it was empty and it is away from the main bit of Brean however have to say it was quite good. Very pleasant lady on the counter I chatted to and the fish was cooked to order. Huge piece of cod which was lovely although the batter was on the thicker side so we left some and scooped the fish out. The chips were okay, left some as there were quite a few black ones in there. The curry sauce was lovely and thick and very fruity:). The portions were rather large even though regular was ordered so if we go there again we’ll just share one. Could do with providing slightly better forks rather than just chip forks as it was too difficult to use with the huge fish. Prices seemed quite reasonable, plenty of parking spaces and tables outside too.

I'm not in the habit of leaving negative reviews, but tonight's fish and chips from Sunnyside was really disappointing.

Had a decent meal from here today. Staying close by we wanted a bite to eat. Arrived at 1700 opening time and it was already busy. We had a mix of fish and chips VERY GOOD. Chinese good yet a little bland.

Used twice in the week we stayed at Warren Farm. Ordered by phone and the food was ready inside 10 minutes. It was hot, tasty and well portioned. Cost was a little above average but well worth it.

Nice food reasonably priced you can choose from a chinese menu or traditional fish and chip shop menu we chose fish roe chips and beef curry all delicous

this is a very popular takeaway especially in the evenings service is very good and efficient and the food is very nicely cooked and large portions

We normally eat from here but this time the food was wanting,we had fish and chips on night and the fish was over cooked and the chips under,the Chinese take away we had the next night was uninspired as a note don’t have the squid because paying £6.50 for squid rings in batter is not worth it.

We use this takeaway on a regular basis while in Brean, its clean, the food is good value for money and the staff are polite. At high season there is always a long wait for food as its very popular.

Food is apparently cooked to order so I’m not sure why the fish and chips was soggy and greasy. Shame as this could be a gold mine as its in a very convenient location. Not sure I would return in a hurry. Hope they read these comments and act.

the food was ok a bit on the greasy sides of things I hade fish and chips fish a bit hard and chips a bit greasy the curry sauce was terrible very lumpy and salty it is a bit expensive aswell it takes them time...

First time using this take away and last. Got the order wrong, chips were very dry and all ends, 2 pieces of meat in the curry, prawn crackers were really hard maybe over cooked, not good when you’ve spent £45 on an order here. Be aware!

We had food from here last night 2 cheese burgers if you could call it that no salad nothing but bun a small tiny beef burger a cheap cheese slice and a sachet of tomato sauce inside it chips we not the best - also the sweet and sour chicken balls were great and so was the spring rolls like I stated food weren't great but it's worth what you pay for it it is all very cheap !

This place does Chinese tried house special rice but had chow mien in it not nice although the chips are excellent.

We call at 2.45pm one afternoon not realising they closed at 2.30. We went up to the door and saw the closed sign, we were about to go away when the lady opened the door and asked us what would we like, they would serve us if we didn't mind waiting as they would have to cook from scratch. Really worth the wait. They were really welcoming.

Well went back to warren farm again this year, my son nearly lived of the chips!,bit of a wait for your order but this is becuse its cooked to order.

We have been using this Chinese/chip shop for the past 15 years and would recommend anyone to visit. Cheap lovely fresh food and very friendly and helpful staff.

Only one size of cod, which was very small and mostly batter, that cost £4.10! Chips were soggy and not chip shop style chips at all. 3 star because the curry sauce and sausages were nice and those are the only positive things of the whole experience. The woman short changed me and didn't care when I told her. Won't be returning.

On Easter weekend break in Somerset and fancied a Chinese takeaway, normally we would go to a restaurant but we had the young Grandchildren with us so this was the best choice.The food was satisfactory, nothing special and we all enjoyed what we had to eat, the chips were better than most Chinese But this place doubles as a fish & chip shop.I will go back at some stage.

We visited this Fish and Chip shop yesterday. We had not been there before and had every expectation, from the reviews, that the fish and chips would be really good. Unfortunately this was not the case. There is no variety of fish and only one size available. The batter on the fish was thin, soggy and extremely unpalatable. The chips, whilst in large portions were also soft and not pleasant to eat. The shop, with the restaurant closed off, looked unwelcoming and grubby. We will not be returning.

Don't let the "fish bar" name fool you - this is primarily a Chinese takeaway. We had fish & chips from here on our first night at a nearby campsite (a bit of a tradition when we visit the sea side) but were disappointed. The chips were fine but the fish was bland and the batter a bit thick and stodgy in parts. Visited again later in our holiday and had a Chinese takeaway - much better - in fact very good indeed.

Food was really nice. Staff were rude and for some odd reason they put your food into little paper bags instead of a tray or wrapping it up in paper. You would think being a campsite they would make it easier for you to eat not more difficult. Chinese was a lot nicer.

Ordered need with mushrooms and egg fried rice. The beef dish was pretty edible. The egg fried rice was sticky, lacking in egg and generally tasted awful. Was really looking forward to a take away to take back to the caravan we were staying in at brean. Very disappointing! Definitely won't be going back!

Tried the chip shop as too tired to cook! Cold chips, soggy batter, very disappointed. Tried the chinese a few weeks later and was pleasantly surprised by the cost and the quality. They would only accept cash though and it would've been nice if they could have told me on the phone (I pre-ordered) how much it would be. Tried the chip shop again last week and the quality and temperature of the food was a lot better
