Sunnys Fish Inn in County Durham

I ordered over the phone my food came very quickly I ordered a wrap and a burger and two kids meals all came piping hot very good service

Had cod and chips with pizza and mixed wrap. Received good quantity which I obviously didn't expect and food was quite quick and very tasty. Must try and I recommend everyone to have.

Just tried tonight to see what it was like since it’s new management I got a chicken tikka kebab and it was delicious the salad was so fresh the chicken was nice and the chilli was proper chilli sauce will definitely be back

Absolutely beautiful, since its reopened the food was hot, really fresh and SO MUCH TASTIER! The sauce and the kebab meat is 100% better and the garlic bread was just 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 The staff were really friendly. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely 100% plus - just had a kebab and it's the best we've ever had. The place is spotless - it's new management have certainly done it proud - thank you we'll be back again

Worst chips I have ever tasted- discoloured- cold - tasteless

The pizza's were still roar, the chips were burnt. The pizza's arrived squashed due to been delivered upright (not the usual drive). The hole order went straight in the bin. I have been ordering from sunnys when it first open years ago and naw its a disgrace, waste of £26

Would leave zero if I could 1) food is disgusting - stale/foul food all too common 2) the new current owner is a life long career criminal, and is behind many of the recent positive reviews which are all fake from his family and friends. 3) the property has rats/mice all at the back where the food preparation areas are, witnessed the mice first hand running around the establishment, I would NOT eat the food from here. 4) the council have previously shut this place down for poor hygiene conditions and rats, why they let it reopen baffles me.

Ordered a chicken burger meal came with literally 20 chips. Ordered kebab chips and carton of bbq sauce. The sauce came on the meal so was only a bit on the meat. They obviously don't listen to customer requests. And for a meal you'd expect more than 20 chips

Went here after the new ownership- it is amazing! Definitely coming back again and recommend to everyone.The best pizza and fish and chips! Tried the chicken tikka curry and rice omggg out of this world delicious

!!!!!!!!UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT!!!!!! Did not think this place could get any worse with new management, got a kababa bun last week, hardly any meat in and cold chips. Went again tonight, to give them another ago as they are new, told them about this as they might not be aware or staff could have been training and they had no intreasted. thought I would still give them another go. Got two curry and chips which were cold when opened at home (less than a two minute drive from the shop). The staffs attitude is bad and very nonslont, don’t think they will be here long from other people’s experiences I have heard. Also, asked if their was any specials, which they said no they only on afternoon, said I came down this afternoon but they were closed which they replied we don’t open afternoon 🙈 Why not just say you don’t do any haha

NEW management is dreadful portions wouldn't fill a child large fish and chips and there's barely anything in the box could've fit it in a small, it's so bad I'm writing this review before I eat it not only because I'm disappointed but because I also know its not gunna get cold since there's so little it'll be gone in 2 minutes do no go here used to be so good but this is just embarrassing

This place is great just brought group of 14 scouts some with dietary need and they cook the chips in a vegan friendly oil can’t praise enough for the hospitality guven

First time we've been and ordered 2 x medium fish and chips. The fish was very large and tasty, come with a load of chips that weren't the best but not bad. Great portions and will be going back again very soon. Hope they continue to serve this quality for a very reasonable price of £7 each for fish and chip.

Foodhub didn't put the correct schedule time so arrived whilst I was out, rang the shop and they replaced the food instantly and even offered to redeliver, whole meal was lush, fish, chips, sausage, the lot was on point. Great job guys will for sure be back

Just had a kebab delivered £17.10 garlic sauce all spilt out in the bag kebab was like a pile of slop most expensive kebab we have ever had won't ever use this place again.

Rotten chips half cooked an hard an missing half the order an had to wait over a hour an a half for rest was worth the money at all

Just had Fish and Chips and the chips were awful. Not worth the money.

Ordered a kebab wrap and a chicken and mushroom Parmesan at 7:33pm phoned up at 9pm to see where our food was as we was pretty hungry was told wouldn’t be long as it was out with the driver our food arrived at 10pm and wasn’t very nice tbh. Will not order again

Delivery took over 2 hours, contacted and assured it would be within a set time but never arrived. Staff when contacted less than helpful, won’t order again. Please AVOID

5* service from the wonderful young lady’s I see everytime I’m inside! Get treated with the upmost respect, especially considering my bizarre food options they blow my high expectations away everytime. If your out in Spenny after a night out, Sunnys is the place to be! 5* food, 5* service, even 5* hospitality! Sunnys Is the place to be, beautiful food and the loveliest people you can find 😁

Beautiful fish and chips good portion also spam fritter and chips both yummy meals. Pleasant assistant very clean. Worth a visit.

Just ordered a chicken parmo and kebab wrap - was 30 minutes late, the kebab was dry and the chicken parmo was so badly burnt it couldnt be cut! Also it had been cooked in the fish pan so smelt and tasted terrible! Defo wont be ordering from there again

I'm absolutely disgusted, we ordered our takeaway for 7.15, and it still hasn't arrived at nearly 9.00pm. Last time I'll ever order anything from Sunnys.

Its unfortunate this takeaway establishment has recently been given a 1 star rating i hope this rating isnt perceived as cleanliness and food quality most of it was because of paperwork and thats a shame. I know because my daughter and friends work there and they go in and clean even though they dont need to they try their very best to give the best food they can. obviously there will be mistakes and it goes with the territory not everyone will be happy because to much cheese or the pepperoni isnt straight then cook at at home thesr girls put in their all and believe me because i know how clean it is it is the only takeaway in spenny that i would order from how's about giving it a chance . We all deserve a second chance

Avoid unless you want to wait 2 and a half hours for half of your order to finally arrive. Kids drinks are always wrong or missing. No fruit shoots so sent a can of Irn Bru for a 3 year old!!

first time ive ordered in years kebab wrap was average at best delivery was about 1 hour 20 minutes didnt receive my drink called up and the woman said ok sorry i was get into contact with the driver and that was 9:33pm now its 10:12pm and its now closed so I probs wont receive it even though i was charged for it

Battered sausage had almost no batter at all. The curry and chips was half a childs portion of chips with barely any, watery curry sauce with hardly any taste. Greasy, recooked, soft, chewy chips as seperate portion. Greasy cod which only tasted of batter and looked more like a regular than a large. Extremely disappointed. Wont be coming back here. Advice people who like the taste of real food to not order from here at all. We ordered: 1 battered sausage - £1.40 Curry and chips - £3 Large cod and chips - £6.90 Chips - £1.80

Best Chips and best value Jumbo Cod and chips in the area, lovely staff and extensive menu. Great food great service great value and they deliver in the local area.

Great food and there is never much if a wait. Staff are very nice.

Disgusting hygiene, shop is filthy, missing food from order after waiting in the shop for nearly half hour (and being the only ones there). Tables were covered in food and vinegar, chairs looked like they had been used as toilets! Avoid like the plague.

Was not the best chicken was slimy lettuce and salad was not fresh far to much grease and chips were burnt all five of us got a meal and none had completed it Sonny's used to be nice not now it's gone really down hill I wouldn't t order again

What an absolute crock of horse hair. Service is non existent. Food is mediocre at best. And the waiting times are longer than the M1

Absolutely shocking do not recommend at all I’d love to judge the food but we have been waiting 2hours and 15 minutes and it still hasn’t arrived ,ultimately an absolute disgrace and the response when questioned on the phone is we are busy absolute joke, do not order from Sunnys if you plan on eating if there was an option for 0 stars that would be my verdict

I ordered my dinner for my family we went to collect this dinner and once we came back there was no pizza which was something we ordered so we rang them back and they told us that they wouldn't deliver this pizza and that we had to collect it and blamed it on us that we forgot the pizza when it was them who forgot to give it to us

don't mind sunnys fish inn for food , decent portions and do food from pizzas and kebabs to traditional fish and chips n mushy peas

Kabab is hit and miss. Sometimes very nice other times I think they have bought the cheap one. Get lots for your money.

Just tried the kebab wrap, something to have only on an empty stomach, it is EPICLY SIZED and is simply awesome! The rest of the food ids recently priced and great taste
