Sundarban Tandoori in Ealing

We stayed a little outside the center on our London trip and wanted to grab something to eat nearby in the evening. We found this excellent restaurant! We received a very warm welcome and the service was extremely nice and friendly. The food was great and I would recommend everyone to come there!

This place is a local treasure for Indian/ Bengaladeshi food in Greenford. Nothing could've been better during our visit. 2 adults ate to stomach absolutely full (no drinks) £37.75.

Excellent restaurant Friendly knowledgeable staff Food was exquisite!! Perfect blend of sweet and spicy from a dish exclusive to the restaurant! I've been coming here since I was a kid as I grew up in the area. I've moved to Northampton in the last 2 years and whenever I come home I come straight here. The food is just outstanding and I lov all of the staff. I wish they were open longer hours.

Nice food but not the best, well worth 4 stars though. Ordered online, so next time I'll order by phone so I can get them to add some more spices to the Madras, I like it hot! Ps. The delivery companies think that Sundarban Tandoori is in Greenford, Southall, well it isn't, it's in North Greenford!!

Great food. Tastes were sensational. Shain was a delightful host. We were a table of 7 and enjoyed the meal greatly. So you again soon.

Visited recently and ordered a few dishes as we were both very hungry. Unfortunately, the food was poor. We had visited before when we lived in the area and the food was average. This is a restaurant we visited when we didn't wish to walk too far or drive. We visited mid-week so I don't know if the chef was off or having a bad day. I could have made a better curry ... truly.

I ordered paneer jalfrezi. But i got chicken jalfrezi. I am vegetarian. And we eat by mistake and we realised after eating first bite. And it’s against my religion. I will never order from here. Please be careful to order from here.

Worst delivery and food quality

We arrived at 7.40pm, last Saturday, ordered starters and mains at 8pm for a party of 3, and more than an hour later, after 'chasing' the waiter to ask for all food to be served together as my party was so hungry, the food arrived at 9.15pm! Other diners, who arrived after our party, were given their food whilst we were still waiting for starters! The diners on tables either side of us had the same problem, and left very upset! When the food did arrive, it was very nice, but too late. Our evening was ruined (a birthday celebration), and staff appeared to not be concerned. Needless to say, we will not be returning!

I went there this Saturday (22nd February) for my Dad's birthday. There was only three of us but we had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for our starters. The staff were SO busy with a large party and they clearly couldn't cope. We asked for our food to all come at once because by 9.15pm we were STARVING! When the food came the chicken was tough, the prawns were overcooked and like rubber. We used to go here a lot but the quality has really gone down hill. Most people in the restaurant had to wait forever also. We had to keep calling the waiters for more drinks, no one apologised for the wait, offered free popadoms etc.. there was zero customer service. A birthday celebration totally ruined.

It is not a traditional type of indian curry house. The food has just enough spice to flavour the dish but just not enough for me. The portions are a bit small compared to most other places. Also the Nan bread sweet and is 3/4 the normal size compared to others. It seem a popular amongst the locals, and the they accommodate for parties, birthdays, anniversarys,etc,. Plenty of kids are having a meal so it seems like a good place to bring the family. If you want hot and spicy make sure to ask. Drinks are responsible but service can be slow due to 10-15 tables and only two service staff.

Not at all happy, poor, virtually non-existent service, lengthy delays between ordering & receiving. Main course arrived it was not hot (temperature wise) & bread was also tepid. Will most certainly not be going back!

I recommend sundarban tandoori restaurant very highly. Definitely a 5 star superb venue.

Quick service with good portion of food

The food here is fine and the staff are good however the price to portion ratio is way off. Often im having to order 3-4 dishes to just get satisfied (not even stuffed/full) The drinks prices are extreme here so id recommend sticking to non alcoholic stuff. Once paid £7.xx for a liqueur with lemonade when the bottle itself is £11-13 in supermarkets LOL. Either the pricing needs to come down or the portions need to go up. I would only recommend this place once in a while due to cost. At the end of the day if you order a chicken tikka dry (no sauce just chicken pieces) you should not be paying £8 for 6 cubes of chicken.

Food was great, but pity we didn't get what we ordered. We ordered a takeaway, one chicken and one lamb dish with sides. We received two chicken dishes. Both were delicious though. I think it comes down to how engaged the person taking the order is. We live just around the corner so went in person to make the order. The guy seemed either distracted or preoccupied, so therefore didn't get our order right. Would we go back though? Sure.

Probably the best Lamb curry I've had in my life. I totally recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal out with friends and family.
