Love this place. Lots to try. Ice cream is delicious. Popular wth family’s so bear this in mind and chose your time wisely if you want a bit more peace and quite(weekdays).

We popped in here as we had been told it was an American style ice cream parlour, and yes the ice cream was divine but it wasn’t really American style in any way at all. We went in and sat down at a pretty cramped table and waited to be served and the queue got bigger and bigger, we were eventually told we had to order at the counter which we thought was just for the take away ice creams, this took quite a while. Eventually we got our Fudgilicious Sundaes and no complaints on the flavour, it was blooming lovely and plenty of yum for what you pay for it. All in all we will go back here next time we are in Yarm, but only for a take away ice cream, the atmosphere just didn’t feel cosy or warm enough to sit in and enjoy.

This is a great ice cream parlour which caters for children well. It is well worth a visit. One problem, if you are in a hurry to get home, cross the street, as the children will clamour to go in and guess who will win!

Went with my wife and daughter as we had a voucher. I had maple bacon bagel and she had the same but a crepe- very tasty food and helpful staff. Air con isn’t great and it was very hot in the day. It also looks like they could do with more staff as some of the tables took a while to clear and clean.

Great little spot offering super ice cream varieties - from Palmer violet to Jaffa cake, morello cherry and stable favourites too. Nice staff and buzzing place. Nothing more English than an ice cream in the summer or winter.

Visited several times and on each visit the experience seems a little more disappointing. This time it was heaving due to school holidays and great weather. We sat at a dirty table (there seemed to be no free staff to clean and wipe down the tables). Waited a while to be served, told order would be a while as they had ran out of crepe mixture. When it arrived the sundae and crepes were very nice but tainted by the huge queue winding past us, noise, general dirtiness and the fact there were flies all over. Definitely need more staff in the good weather. Was one of our favourites but will wait for the bad weather and hope it improves when it’s quieter...

We have been to Sundaes quite a few times. I like the decor and giant blackboard. The ice creams are lovely with a good choice of flavours and the waffles are delicious! Quite often very busy and can get noisy.

Sunday seemed so busy. Young & lovely girls working hard. The afternoon was busy and I wanted something cold. I didn’t expect such fantastic, innovative and creative flavours. My boys loved bubble gum ..I’m more of a lemon girl. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 keep doing what you do

Visited sundaes as part of a cupcake decorating event which was fantastic! Whilst the kids decorated their cakes it gave us time to sit and relax. The food was lovely. We had lattes, toasted teacake and a crepe with toppings and Ice cream. Staff were quick to serve and timely with orders. Good value for money and all delicious. The only down side was the staff they all looked so miserable. It costs nothing for a smile and to act like you want the customers there. I wasn't the only one who passed comment either. We'll definitely return for another visit, just hope the atmosphere is a bit more welcoming.

Really lovely ice cream and a decent selection of flavours. The shop itself had a bad atmosphere and a weird smell. The tables hadn’t been cleared. The toilets stank. Would go back for the ice cream but would take away pronto

The ice cream here is amazing and so is everything else, the waffles, the pancakes, what ever you order you will not be disappointed. This is just a great local business.

Visited here for breakfast on a busy Sunday morning. Although it's primarily a cafe for ice cream they do offer quite an extensive range of savoury dishes. I opted for Eggs Florentine as Eggs Royale wasn't on the menu and when I asked if they could make it, all I got was a blunt 'no'. Despite the fact smoked salmon was on the menu served with scrambled eggs and other things. Bizarre. My partner got eggs Benedict too. However, we were asked what we wanted them served on with the options being either a bagel, crepe (I believe) and an omelette?! Even more bizarre. No suggestion of a muffin as it should be, but never mind we decided to get it nonetheless. We sat down and after 5 minutes or so we were told that they could not poach an egg. Unbelievable, I find this hard to believe being that it's a fairly simple procedure. We weren't told why, instead we were asked whether we wanted it scrambled or fried. Which i personally think is a bit of a joke being that it now resembles nothing like Eggs Benedict. We opted for scrambled eggs. When it was brought over I was faced a ghostly white pile of scrambled eggs on raw spinach. Traditionally it would be wilted but clearly this cafe aren't traditionalists. Either that or they don't have a clue. It also had the addition of what tasted like swiss cheese. And the hollaindaise sauce was served alongside, I suspect shop bought, since they can't poach an egg. Therefore it's unlikely they can make hollandaise. It was served alongside crisps and a salad containing more raw spinach. It was sickly as expected with it being such a heavy breakfast but the cheese element really took it overboard. As we had already paid we couldn't really raise this and the person I was with suggested we just left and never come back as it was also incredibly busy with mainly children. I was originally going to leave a 'terrible' review but I'm convinced the ice cream must be pretty good given how busy it was. However, the savoury side was disappointing and a little embarrassing to serve something that doesn't resemble what it is supposed to be. Service wasn't great and slightly frosty, food was beyond terrible but the ambience was good.

Always have a great selection, the staff are always polite and friendly! Perfect for a summers afternoon. Plenty of seating and can get takeaway to enjoy the local surroundings

Only been once. Ice cream was lovely and filling. Lots of choice on the menu and something for everyone. Price wise maybe s little pricey but you get whst you pay for

Thought we’d treat the children to pudding in Yarm last Sunday afternoon. They both had the waffle. Huge, tasty and decent VFM. I couldn’t resist the Nutella cookie (gorgeous) although I may have held off (lie) if I’d known about the mini cone of ice-cream I was getting with my tea.

We popped in here after little one had his 4 jabs. Luckily it wasn't busy. Decor wise bright and very inviting with plenty places to sit. The staff were great and very friendly.

Called in for a spot of pudding and was quite pleased with it. I'd asked for a sundae involving Maltesers but they had run out so I opted for a strawberry sundae. My partner asked for a waffle with bananas, nutella and whipped cream. We sat down at a cute little table which was quite comfy. One of the waitresses came over to say they had run out if strawberry ice cream (they had been very busy through the day) she was very apologetic and seemed so nice about it all and she asked if I would like anything else. I asked if I could have the sundae I initially wanted just without the Maltesers as I felt that omitting them wasn't a deal breaker. She was very accommodating and said that was fine but would I like chocolate shavings to make up for it, so I agreed. Both my sundae and my partners waffle arrived at the same time and both were so so good. The quantities and quality of both puddings were well worth the money we paid and would 100% go back there.

A large choice of homemade ice-creams that are very flavorful. I tried three and each were great! Large portions. Well located on the main street.

I had heard about this Parlour from friends and it came highly recommended! It did not disappoint. We did have to queue but it was sunday afternoon on a sunny day so I'd have been surprised if we didn't. Chocolate waffe cone ordered with 2 enormous scoops. Hard to choose which flavours but i managed (eventually). Chosen to eat this walking along the river (situated behind Sundaes).

Been to sundaes on a couple of occasions, once was for a friends birthday, the staff were great and when I mentioned it was her birthday they put a candle on her sundae and played happy birthday music, was a lovely touch and she loved her treat. The ice-cream are delicious and the service was great Keep up the good work

Always pop in when I'm up visiting my daughter. A childrens paradise! Waffles are to die for. Always nicely presented and the staff are lovely. The ice cream is top quality. Obviously it is very child friendly! Don't miss out if you visit Yarm.

This place is great for children and specially for parties,super ice cream choices. It's not just an ice shop, crepes coffees etc,we all enjoyed writing on the giant blackboard too, staff welcoming and friendly.

Visited here with family.... not much gluten, and dairy free choices, decided to have a cuppa, no soya milk, so black tea😞 my family had ice cream and coffee, if you can call it coffee it was terrible, worst coffee ever Would have expected better,

Visited with my friend and we had my young daughter with us. We both decided to order waffles, I had never tried them before so I was hoping they were going to be delicious. I wasn't disappointed. I opted for baileys ice cream and Ferrero rocher to accompany the waffle and they were both yummy! The waffle was nice but we both left the middle as it was a little stodgy and we were full. Always a nice play to visit and well priced.

Default choice for the children not least because of the great range of flavours they offer. They also do an excellent milk shake. Seating can be a problem on busy days.

If you come here on a warm/sunny day the queue will be out of the door. A bit awkward while you wait with people coming in/out getting squashed but the queue goes down reasonably quickly. Lots of selection to choose from & lots of serving choices: sundaes, ice creams, shakes.... The girls who serve are very friendly & efficient too. We got two tubs of double scoop ice cream & two single sugar cones and got change from £10 which I thought was good value for luxury ice cream, especially when compared to some other ice cream places we've visited. The salted caramel flavour went down particularly well!! The other flavours we chose were: cinder toffee, pistachio ripple, strawberry & Oreo which were all also well received.

My family and I stopped in for lunch, surrounded by young families enjoying an array of ice creams, milkshakes and desserts. Our experience however was not the best. Their 'lunch service' was nothing short of shambolic. It took 35 mins to serve 3 crepes and a bagel (all arriving at different times) and my crepe was missed all together! Others eating lunch were having to chase their orders too. The poor lad waiting tables had a shocker, messing up orders and spilling hot tea over a family nearby. Would return for an ice cream (which look great) but nothing that needs prep!

This was my first visit here. The decor is lovely-it feels really fresh and is quite cute. There is a blackboard wall for children to play with while parents can relax with a coffee. The ice cream is delicious-I can't wait to go back and neither can my daughter!

Visited sundaes one Sunday morning with the kids, after hearing lots of good reports, we were not disappointed. Relaxed atmosphere, lots to choice, ice creams etc. kids had a great time.

staff seem disorganised. staff took a while to serve which meant kids shouting and screaming to wait. ice cream home made but not made on site. noisy place. nice for kids but not a relaxing place. ice creams expensive but was yarm! there were healthy choices. fat free yoghurt and sorbets. had american diner feel to it serving omelettes and sandwiches.would return but feel staff need training in organisation.

popped in Saturday am - place was full, but soon served at Ice cream counter - double cone, Ameretto and mint choc chip - excellent taste , big scoops , and a big choc fudge cake portion to take away. good value

First time back in Yarm for a year or so and this was a lovely surprise addition. Little American style diner. Perfect for family or friend get togethers. The staff were super friendly and let us make our own Sundae recipes. We shared a pizza Bagel and savoury crepe to start and had milkshake and ice cream sundaes for after! Naughty for breakfast but soooo worth it. Will be visiting every time I return!!

I have never been disappointed after a trip to Sundaes, everything is always delicious. I particularly love the Parma Violet ice cream!

We visited on a Monday afternoon for desserts after having lunch at the nearby Mocking Bird Deli (which is also lovely)

The icecream is all handmade locally and tastes device. Quite spoilt me for any other "normal" icecream. My favourite is vanilla which is the best vanilla I have ever tasted and salted caramel. All kinds of flavours are made and there were 12 different Christmas themed ones last year. The coffee is nice too and instead of a biscuit you get a tiny cone with it. Cute, different and clever. That's how I got a taster if how good it is. Gets busy at school holiday times and weekends with children and families. If you are ok with that go and try.

Called in for an ice cream cone. It was a cold day so we sat inside to eat them. The decor is good. There's even a wall that the children can draw on. I had a ginger ice cream which was absolutely delicious. All ice cream is homemade and there is a wonderful variety. Can't wait to go back. The only criticism is that while the staff were really nice we had to wait quite a while for our order and the place wasn't busy.

Went here with two young grandchildren. Accommodating, friendly staff and loved the big chalk board for the children to draw on. Also like that they stay open later in the summer if the weather good.

Milkshakes are so good, giving you a choice of ice cream so you can create your own flavour milkshake. All the ice cream is really good and excellent quality, making some more adventurous flavours as well as the standard ones.

I live locally and visit regularly. Love the coffee, ice cream and crepes. The staff and the service are the best.

Went here on a warm day few weeks ago, seating area was small and cramped. It was a little over priced for what you got. Don't think it was anything to rave about I have been to better ice cream parlours. It was nice enough but wouldn't go out of my way to go back.

they make their own ice cream and I tried the lemon and raspberry meringue which was a new flavour. Very moreish!!

We have stopped at Sundaes many times over the summer months for an ice cream and have to say that this is most definitely the best ice cream parlour in the north east

Beautiful ice cream parlour with amazing freshly made ice cream and shakes. Ice cream is the best locally. Staff are helpful and friendly and the cafe is immaculate.

An amble down Yarm High Street and we came across Sundaes. It took no convincing to enter for our two boys and our niece. The place was busy but we managed to order a variety of pancakes and waffles with scoops of many different flavours of ice cream from pink bubblegum to parma violet. The staff were efficient in what was a hectic service as the place remained busy throughout our stay. We all left happy and content after this treat and we all promised to come back.

Ice cream was obviously house-made to a very high standard, as good as Italian but in the slightly more dairy English style. Staff very pleasant.

I sometimes pop in for a great ice-cream but If you order something like a pancake or waffle you tend to wait quite sometime and I have had to check that my order is on its way, I know that they get busy but it was a quiet time when I went in, this is a shame as it does have some wonderful ice-cream

I have visited sundaes several times, on the last two occasions I have been I have found the sundaes I have ordered to be wrong.todays visit I was given a banoffee bocker that was a like milkshake because the toffee icecream was like milk and shouldn't have been used.i feel that they are too expensive to be of such poor quality. I will be thinking twice about visiting again as so disappointed.Also the fact it is ran by youngsters seems to be no adult supervision and my sundea was thrown together

Homemade ice cream, made on the premises. First time I had ever tasted violet ice cream and it was gorgeous. Noticed people with coffee had a miniature ice cream served on the side of their saucers. A nice touch.

I have to say, the raspberry ripple ice-cream here is the nicest i have tasted, however having to wain in a very long a slow queue let it down a bit. I know we have had some nice weather lately and it maybe was busier than usual, but the staff seemed pretty p'd off about this, a little smile could have made a big difference to the atmosphere here. We didn't want to sit in with grumpy staff so took our ice-creams away with us.

Delicious ice creams. Service adequate but not stunning. Over priced. Children in the establishment were unruly (I visited with 5 children who were not allowed to misbehave and run amok). It's being run by young inexperienced staff who cannot cope. No baby cone with a coffee (which was good coffee). A good job the kids love it or I wouldn't return.

Very similar to the ice creams in Croatia, which are delicious, whoever makes the ice cream for this place has got it spot on. The flavours are delicious, albeit a wee bit pricey. Highly recommend, a lovely friendly place.

5 of us for Sunday afternoon coffees and teas and a few desserts. Friendly and efficient service in this busy establishment, Ellie and Aimee can be singled out for special mention. Good drinks. Only 2 reasons I didn't give it 5*. Firstly, the nice touch of a tiny ice cream cone with each tea or coffee was delayed, apparently because there are insufficient mini holders for the cones. I would have thought an investment of £20 would sort out this problem, they can't be more than 50p each. Secondly, there is a step to the entrance door with no ramp, making it more difficult than necessary for our disabled family member.

As I live in Yarm I have visited for a takeaway cone on quite a few occasions but today was the first time I had actually eaten in. The cappuccino was nice and strong (they ask if you want 1 shot or 2) and the fact it comes with a teeny tiny ice cream on the side is just too cute. I had the brownie sandwich which did not disappoint! 2 brownies with Ice cream in the middle and on the side (your choice), cream, syrup and sprinkles! Yummy! My friend had the mint sundae and although she said it was also delicious she said she would have preferred mine!!!

This place is amazing. The ice cream is delicious. They have a pretty big menu for an ice cream shop. You can buy crepes, milkshakes, sundaes and cones. They have a wide range of flavours. I had a tub of ice cream with three scoops, I loved it.

Was brought here for a coffee as a treat along with a couple of grandchildren, who loved the homemade ice cream. They had been before but it was my first visit and I wasn't disappointed. The choice was really good and it wasn't too bust considering.

Ice cream in delicious flavours made on the premises and for those who don't like ice cream a good supply of homemade cakes. Seating inside and out. Sugar comes to take away . Very reasonably priced.

I had a large choc cone with a scoop of bueno & scoop of Chocolate. It was delicious, going to be going again this Saturday, cant believe i've never been here before

Visited here with my 7 year old Grandson who is an ice cream fanatic. Variety of flavours with a number that titillated my taste buds - great to be able to sit inside when it is raining.

Such a fun bright place to be! Amazing selection of ice creams and sweet treats! Great service, great staff... only issue is the queueing. It gets really busy on a weekend and with the serving bar being at the back the queue goes right through the seating area and out of the door. Not great for sitting in!

We ate here as a family. We had savoury crepe then ice cream or cake. We all really enjoyed it. Perfect with the kids.

Came here for brunch with my two year old daughter last weekend. We ordered a tuna mayo and smoked salmon/cream cheese bagels.

Went here with a friend and our two young children. We queued for a good 15 minutes to place our order to then be told 'oh sorry our card machines not working'. I then got a table with the children while my friend went to a cash machine. She was then made to queue again to order. If we didn't have two four year olds desperate for an ice-cream we would have walked out there and then. Disgusting that they were allowing people to queue with no sign up about cash only. Then we were told they would bring our order over to the table which when it arrived consisted of two coffees. They totally forgot about the girls ice-creams, we asked about them twice and had finished our coffees when we asked a third time for the staff then to ask what we had ordered as they had no idea. Horrible service. Ice creams are lovely so I would go back but get them to take away

We have been to "sundaes" before and found it excellent, however on this visit, it was like being in a creche. The staff were trying to keep on top keeping the tables clean and doing a good job. We had a crepe and a bagel with coffee. The coffee was brought almost immediately. However this was consumed by the time the food arrived 20 minutes later. This was mentioned to the waitress who said we should have asked for the coffee 'after' the food. Good points - decor, food, coffee and counter service. Bad points - noise, unruly children, long time waiting for food and the door constantly being left open(very cold day)

Love this place to come for an ice cream or even just a pot of tea! Lots of delicious flavours, friendly staff and nice seat in area in and outside! I love that the do tea pigs tea as well :) only criticism is that it can be a bit chilli to sit in with the door always opening and being left open a lot!

We called in after lunch today for ice cream. The place looks great, bright & clean, and very welcoming. The young lady behind the counter was dealing with some rather demanding customers when I arrived, she kept her cool and served them with respect and remained very professional.

Ice cream is amazing and made fresh on the premises. The decor is light and airy. No silly gimmicks. Only negative thing was there was a musty smell, which turned out to be the daffodils on the tables, which were just past their best.

The food and decor here is spot on. Unfortunately some of the staff seemed to have no idea what good service is. We had our hot drinks plonked on the table with the tray left. The table was very small so it seemed unusual just to dump it and walk off. Saying that, the member of staff was young and perhaps just starting out. We waited half an hour for two bagels and when we asked if they'd forgotten them there was no apology, just a very straight "they're coming". I appreciate that things take longer when it's busy but it seemed like a very long time. The food itself was delicious and the homemade ice cream is amazing! We just left a bit disappointed after the long wait and I really don't like having to go up and ask about the food but it honestly felt like they'd forgotten it.

Decided to have dessert here after Sunday lunch elsewhere. Coffee was very good, ice cream and cake pretty good. Service was excellent, well done Ellie and Aimee. We will return!

Appaulingly rude staff. I went in with my little boy and the owner was so rude. Impatient and no smile, no thanks - absolutely awful customer service. Never will I go or reccomend to anyone!

Came here because I'd heard about them being breast feeding friendly. Anywhere that welcomes breastfeeding mums and has ice cream has an immediate two thumbs up from me. As it happened the baby was asleep but that meant that after deliberating over which of the lovely array of icecreams to sample I could enjoy a delicious bagel and Sundae with my husband in peace.

Met a friend here last week for coffee and a catch up. Coffee and cake were fine and I realise that a place that sells ice-cream is going to attract children but they are allowed to run riot. Perhaps the very young staff did not feel comfortable asking them to calm down but next time will choose somewhere more relaxing

My daughter and I decided to spoil ourselves and visit Sundaes. It's a lovely little ice cream parlour, with friendly staff.

We went end of January had lovely ice cream sundeas and hot choclate with baby cone of ice cream.

Very busy when we called in for a crepe and ice creams to take away. The staff seemed a little stressed but the place itself is decorated beautifully and the ice cream was pure indulgence - crepe was good too.

Popped in to Yarm on a Wet muggy Sunday and called in to Sundaes, staff were very attentive despite the weather and the ice cream sundaes ordered were spot on, took a while to turn up but they were worth it.

First time here with our girls. Nice atmosphere with great ices cream choices to match I had the bubblegum. The sweetness was spot on not too much girls had chose and strawberry again high praise. Mum had a honey and cinnamon crepe, all gone. I can see this being bursting at the doors come summer

Not a regular visitor to Yarm but we may be now we know about Sundaes. £2.65 for what they call a baby sundae, two large scoops of a variety of flavours, plus sauce and a topping. The only negative was too much Buble on the sound system.

We popped in here during a visit to Yarm in December (we were guests at Crathorne Hall hotel). As we were having afternoon tea at 1pm, we didn't really want a proper lunch, so we were very naughty and ordered three ice cream sundaes! My son and I had chocolate fudge whilst my husband ordered a chocolate corruption! The café has a retro American diner style to it - all duck egg blue and chrome...perfect for my tastes as I am a vintage enthusiast!

Went today for second time this week .its November I had a latte was the best I've every had .also bought 2 different flavour ice creams they were lovely with my latte I got a small cone free with ice cream of my choice I had Turkish delight. My granddaughter after eating her strawberry ice cream got a free mini cone with chocolate ice cream free of the very friendly man serving . Will be going again. Fantastic
