Sun Shui in Bedford

Once again we had a great meal off the Chinese menu . Egg Plant and shrimp with perhaps star anise, Garlic and chili's to deepen the flavor and a refreshing perfectly cooked egg plant. A plate of greens and another of beef and onions and some bean sprouts, perfectly tasty and warm spices. Service was exceptionally fast and everything was just right. We always order off the Chinese side of the menu because my wife is Chinese and both her and I prefer the Asian flavors. Really is our favorite place for authentic Chinese flavors.

This used to be one of my favorite Asian restaurants. I was incredibly disappointed with my takeout order tonight. I ordered my food 40 minutes in advance and it wasn't ready for an additional 20 minutes after my pick up time. Scallion pancakes were burnt on one side and very greasy. Everything else was mediocre at best and not worth the price or the wait.

It was one of my favorite restaurants. I came here at least every two weeks. This Friday night, I ordered a Shanghai Meatball with my girlfriend, It took way too long to cook, but we were still happy to eat. However, my girlfriend told me it was cold inside after she cut the first one, and I touched it with my finger. IT WAS COLD. I asked for the return because it was cold and took so long. Afterwhile, I was told by the manager that I cannot allow ordering any meatballs in the future. She was so AGGRESSIVE and refused to admit the TRUTH, and she insisted that the other three meatballs were HOT and evaded the first one, and BLAMED us for wasting their food. Well, I feel so bad that I don't have the luck to win a hot meatball with 75% chance of win this Friday Night.

Food was missing flavor, was under cooked, and wasn't fresh. Disappointed that the food was poor considering the reviews were good.

This was our first time at Sun Shui. Saw on Facebook that it was voted #1 Asian Restaurant in NH so we decided to check it out. What a great restaurant from the staff to the cocktails to the food. Everything was great. Even the owner cane over to greet us. We started off with the Spring rolls which were larger than we get in most restaurants and were crispy and delicious. I had the wonton soup and my boyfriend had the Hot and Sour soup. The wonton noodles were perfect and the broth was delicious. For our main entree, we shared the tangerine beef which was the best I’ve ever had along with the vegetable fried rice. They served Chinese, Japanese and Korean specialties. Everything is made fresh which is part of the reason the food is so good. We can’t wait to go back!

Delivery, food was bland & flavorless, no soy sauce, no rice, at least wasn't loaded with corn starch thickener. Chicken& peanut dish was all carrots & celery, a few peanuts & little chicken.

My mother and I stopped in for lunch. The place was empty - only one other customer - which made us nervous, but we stayed, and we’re glad we did. We both got lunch specials. House-style tofu and vegetables with garlic sauce. Both meals came with a soup choice. Both the miso and hot & sour were tasty and full of flavor. They also each had a rice choice, We both got veg fried rice which was ok, and an appetizer- spring roll and crab Rangoon were very good. Vegetables in the main dishes were not over cooked and the tofu was nice and crispy. Sauces were great and not too salty. A wonderful lunch for 2 for under $20 before tip. We’d be visiting there again if we weren’t from out of state.

This restaurant recently denied service to an adult with a disability. I hope they will turn this situation around to help their staff learn about disabilities and other difference. I will suspend any future visits to see if they make a necessary change.

Why is good American Chinese food so hard to find? Sun Shui came highly recommended, though I found it to be average. Don't get me wrong, it was pretty good, and will satisfy the Chinese food craving, but I'm on the hunt for some AMAZING American Chinese food. It seems impossible to find it in southern NH.

This was our first visit and everyone enjoyed his/ her meal. I ordered the sushi dinner which featured a good variety and was very fresh. My wife ordered a special of spicy, crispy fish, which was delicious. Others in our party ordered pad Thai and a seafood special. Everything was nicely prepared and our server was friendly and had a good knowledge of the menu. I found the prices to be reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food.

We live just around the corner and have eaten in and order out from here multiple times. Only once did we have a disappointing take out experience. Restaurant itself isn't overly large. There are booths along the wall and 5-6 tables out in the room plus bar seating. We've been there when it's deserted, but also when the place was packed doing dinner pick up so it all just depends on the day and time what it'll be like. Plenty of parking in the lot, but it is next to a pizza joint so not always spots directly in front, but it's not far to walk at all. Service is always attentive, never been left wanting or not able to get someones attention if needed (you usually don't need to because they are paying attention). Food is excellent and there are even dishes that you can specifically order will all white meat chicken. I've seen some people say the place has gone down hill- we haven't been around long enough to really say, but I did notice on a recent visit that the serving size of the Tangerine Chicken (one of my favorites) was smaller than I remember it being in the past. And while there wasn't a problem with the crab rangoon during the most recent visit, the last time I got take out my order was all celergy and I threw it out. So I guess is possible? That said, I really have no other gripes with the place- we've had great meals and enjoyed everything we've tried. In terms of pricing you'll find this is not the cheapest place for Chinese food, but I also think the quality is better and worth it. Recommend the Chicken or Veggie Udon Noodles, crab rangoon, beef sticks, white meat chicken General Tso's, and Tangerine Chicken.

I went over a week ago, I ordered Szechuan Chicken, the menu said chicken with vegetables and peanuts. I have ordered at other chinese restaurants and enjoyed the dish, not from here, was very disappointed mostly celery and chicken hot peppers and about 2 peanuts. For 10.99 and no white rice unless you pay extra for it. I won't go back, I called and complained never heard back they said they could make me something else but needed to talk to owner,which I hope she does, but for now I won't return.The first picture is theirs second is me trying to fix it!

The restaurant has an interesting menu including many good options for vegetarians which is important given that there are several in our family. Based on other Trip Advisor recommendations, we ordered a round of Mai Tai which were indeed excellent! The owner also did come by our table and give a personal touch to the service which included a birthday dessert for my mom who was celebrating her 74th birthday which gave a special touch. The food was tasty which good ingredients and flavors. The only negative was that there was a big party in the restaurant that night and we simply could not hear each other speak. Therefore dialogue around our table was impossible. This was a shame and negatively impacted our evening as the noise level was so high. Other than the acoustics I can highly recommend this restaurant.

First time visiting and impressed with the selection. The pricing was comparable to other restaurants. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. This was definitely a local hang out. The food tasted great and the service was very good. I would make this a weekly stop.

Sun shui has normally been a great restaurant but the last 2 or 3 times I’ve gone the food has been just OK and the new servers aren’t that good. Let me just say that I have been here at least 30 times and it is very sad to see it go down hill because I know the quality of sun shui. Hopefully they start to figure things out just like the 2011 Boston bruins did in the playoffs

This place is a hidden gem, tucked away in a tiny strip mall. They have all the normal food you would find at a typical Chinese Japanese restaurant, with one exception. They have an authentic Chinese menu that is straight out of Boston Chinatown. If you like spicy, I recommend the Chinese Beef with hot pepper, I've never had better.

Sun Shui is all around outstanding! We normally sit at the bar which is quite cozy and seats about 10 people. Order ourselves a Mai Tai (definitely one of the best in the area, and that I've ever had!) and some sushi to start. We will then order a couple main dishes. The food is fresh, always hot, and made to order. I tend to have a sensitive stomach when it comes to Asian cuisine, and have not once run into a problem here. It also helps to know their management is kind and caring. Laura goes above and beyond to make you feel like family. Definitely stop in and give this place a try if you're in the area!!

I have been coming to Sun Shui for a couple years. The food is amazing. Great sushi. Fresh entrees. And new classics. The Mai Thais are the best around. But it’s the people that make every visit amazing. Awesome staff and Laura the owner always welcomes you with a smile. I have never had a bad meal or experience. Solo. With family or friends.

We have been doing take out at Sun Shui for a couple years. I ate in the restaurant for the first time in December 2016 and became hooked! We go multiples times a month - whether it is just for one or a group, we are consistently treated like family. The owner, Laura, stops at the tables to talk to her customers. The service is just as outstanding as the food. Our favorites are the wonton soup, sushi, sesame beef, fried rice, and well the list goes on! They also have the best Mai Tais! Sun Shui is our go-to place!!

Sun Shui serves consistently delicious meals and yummy cocktails. We go a few times a month for dinner, knowing we'll enjoy not only the food, but the hospitality as well. Laura, the owner, and all of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, offering great suggestions and attentive service. We like all of the Chef's Specialties, and the Mai-Tai's by Janet can't be beat! Reasonably priced and convenient, they also deliver locally. Highly recommend this little gem!

I've been here several times either by myself or with a friend. Each time the food and the service has been very good. My mother said the drink (I forget what it was) she had was the best one she ever had. The crab rangoons are superb. Everything I have had was excellent.

Laura and her crew go above and beyond to make sure every meal is met with perfection. We visit at least once a week - the eggplant hotpot is beyond words, the spicy chicken with cashews never disappoints, the spicy fish is authentic and will bring you into another world.

I have been to Sun Shui many times. I have never been disappointed. The food is great and the drinks are amazing. They have great happy hour specials, authentic dishes and a super amazing staff.

I can’t go any place else for a mai tai or sushi because I am always disappointed! The owner, Laura, is also very sweet!

If you want Americanized Chinese - they do justice with cooking this absolutely fresh!

We discovered Sun Shi on a whim a few years ago. It’s a hidden gem on the Bedford/Merrimack line. The restaurant is small on space but long on charm. The owner is frequently there and makes an effort to say hello to everyone. Drinks are great, wine pour is generous. Sushi is delicious. When they say spicy, they mean spicy. Our waitress remembers our drinks and preferences. Have brought many friends/family and all have enjoyed.

I love Sun Shui! My family has done our family holiday here the last 4 Year’s. Laura, Kimmy, Janet and the crew are amazing. I enjoy the atmosphere and the food. It’s so great to come to a place where they remember you. The won ton soup is so good, definitely warms you up on a cold day. The authentic Chinese menu is also amazing. It’s so great to try new things. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for fresh food. While I don’t eat sushi everyone I know raves about the sushi too! I hear the Sun Shui Salad is fantastic!!

One of the better Chinese places in southern NH. It's not your local quick'n'dirty General Tso's joint. They have a wide variety of delicious, interesting dishes, some of which you'll know and some you won't. Try it; you won't regret experiencing this gem.

Came to this hidden gem because of the great reviews, and did not disappoint. Very tasty and full of flavor, light, fresh, and fast. Mai-tais were very good as well. We'll be back!

La Fondue es un Brazier con un plato de comida, mucha comida! La Fondue Flaming tiene una fuente de calor debajo, el tazón tenía un montón de caldo y cosas. Después de que me comenzó a trabajar con el Hot Pot el camarero nos preguntó que si me gustaría arroz blanco y nos trajeron un plato de arroz y un tazón de sopa con una cuchara. Tenga en cuenta que el arroz blanco estaba en un pequeño hasta. This is a very nice restaurant. Warm reception, nicely done sushi. It's a little off the beaten path away from the commercial center of Bedford but worth the drive. Next time we'll try the Chinese dishes--again, we very much enjoyed the sushi.

El sol Shui restaurante tiene excelente, y comida china auténtica. También tienen algunas cosas de comida coreana, que estaban muy bien, y unos cuantos artículos de comida japonesa. Por ejemplo, tenían unos fideos udon en una especie de asunto de ensalada; no estoy seguro de si es auténtico japonés, pero también fue muy sabroso. Quizás es Taiwán-japonés?. Cada país parece tener su propia versión de "comida china.

We recently visited this newly opened Chinese restaurant and were very impressed. The menu is very diverse ranging from the the traditional favorites, to sushi, noodles and Korean dishes. However I really enjoyed the choices from the authentic section. Will definitely go back

Decidimos probar una vez más e ir al restaurante para una comida vs. llevar. Mi marido pidió la familia feliz y me gustó mucho. También vino con arroz de amigo de cerdo que también disfrutamos. Pedí sushi. aguacate panes, bollos de salmón y rollos de montaña de nieve.La calidad parecía mucho mejor en comparación a prueba de llevar un poco tiempo. La presentación era excelente - el chef de sushi es muy talentoso. Hizo un pequeño desigen de aves con algunas de la salsa, fue muy inteligentes.
