Wagamama in Bedford

Visited recently with family Service was extremely poor , the waitress lacked any go , you could barely hear her and had to ask her to repeat herself. Service was slow and tired . I ordered my usual dish , failed to eat it as it was extremely greasy , swimming in oil and tasteless . On recent visits across the UK , I’ve found Wagamama has lost its freshness , it’s vibe , it’s drive on natural fresh punchy flavours - this is such a shame I’m certainly not rushing back to Wagamama for sometime and will not visit my local Bedford again. Location is wonderful overlooking Bedford river - this could be a thriving restaurant

This restaurant was extremely modern and clean, me and my friend sat down greeted by a lovely, friendly member of staff. We chose to sit inside but they did ask if we wanted to use the outside seating. We both had the Raman chilly, I had it with chicken and my friend had it with steak. Our food came pretty quickly but the restaurant was pretty empty. It was hot and tasted great. They lay out chop sticks for you to use but if you don’t want to use these they have cutlery on the side of the table with the spice’s. The toilets were clean and modern too but the lighting is a bit dim it’s hard to see what your doing.

Long term customer of this restaurant but last couple of visits really disappointing. Food is good as usual and really like the evolving menu, but the service is so poor. Lunchtime today the tables were all but empty and we were offered a table outside. Waiting staff just so slow and generally just chatting in a group at the counter. After two interminable waits for service my wife had to go inside and order what she wanted at the counter rather than waiting any longer for the slow, inattentive and generally disinterested staff. Still food arrived at funereal pace and without as much as a smile. Other diners outside clearly having the same experience, staring hopefully inside the restaurant for service. Won't be back in a hurry. Looks like another chain food business heading for the skids...

Every time we have visited we've had top notch service from all the staff. They are all friendly and welcoming. Food delicious too. Kids love it and wipe their plates clean!

We came for dinner, and food was fine, nothing to shout home about but was tasty enough, the issue we had was the long wait times for the staff to do seemingly anything, from waiting at the door for 5 min to be seated to watching the 5 members of staff stand around chatting in rhe corner while we waited for our order to be taken. Once taken, food thankfully came fairly quickly and was cooked very well. Once we had finished and our table had been cleared we then waited watching the staff either standing around or seemingly wander back and forth through the restaurant without actually doing anything, it took just shy of 10 minutes for us to get our bill to pay.

Father’s Day so it was busy but not full. We know meals don’t turn up together but my husband had finished before mine arrived! Seems to have been a mix up and, to be fair, they didn’t charge for my meal. Seemed short of staff. Disappointed as we are Waga fans!

Never been to a Wagamama's before so today I went in for lunch. I got my food in about 20 mins which was fast though that may be where the problem lies, the food was clearly not fresh. It's sort of the McDonald's of Japanese food it seems. The food isn't bad, standard right in the middle food but the prices are simply too high for prepared food, I would expect fresh for the price and a much better flavour. I can't recommend it because the prices are not worth the quality served, lower prices or make the dishes fresh and tasty instead but right now it's not a place I'd return.

The quality of the food is high. I just wish they could serve also sushi! When it's sunny they can open all the windows.

Visited late afternoon so it was nice and quiet. The service was very friendly and we were dealt with attentively. Usual grumble with Wagamamas that the food comes out randomly. One of the mains took particularly longer than the others which is irritating not quirky. The food was all excellent, albeit expensive to feed a family of four for just over £100.

The positives were a very quick service and staff friendly. The negatives were that part of my order was missing from the chicken and prawn dish, I mentioned to the staff and they cooked me 4 tiny bits of prawns and plonked them in a bowl 🤣🤣 very bizarre

Ate here before the cinema. We had 5 starters and 4 mains and all of our dishes were delicious. Ignore the moaners this place has it right. Food - excellent, decor - lovely and all of the staff were brilliant. Even the chefs said thanks and have a good evening. Special mention to Lucy who double checked my sons order as he was the only 1 to order a non vegan meal and also to provide us with lots of green team. Congratulations to the whole team - you were spot on last night. there's always 1 moaner or guest who's expectations are for the Ritz but can't afford their prices so ignore them as you're doing an amazing job.

love Wagamams, great for everyone, lots of veggie options and vegan too thats why my daughter likes it, plenty for meat eaters too

I was pleased to see that there was a wagamama close to my hotel, it usually one of my favourites for a quick meal. However the service was slow and food poor, nowhere near the standard I normally expect from wagamama.

Staff are friendly and on the ball. The food compares very well with other Wagamama outlets we have visited. Can be quite busy at times.

I visited Wagamama Bedford because my daughter wanted to go there for a birthday dinner. We ordered our food and drinks and waited, to be fair to them they were busy. My son really doesn't like anything on the menu so we asked if he could have some plain noodles with chicken, no problem. My sons food came out, and we expected ours to be on its heels. We waited 10 mins until my order came, then after a further 15 minutes we still hadn't received my wife & daughters food. We got the attention of a waitress who explained that because we had ordered different things from the menu they were cooked at different stations in the kitchen and thats why they weren't coming out at the same time. She then in a rather condescending tone asked if we had been to Wagamama before, yes we said, and we had never experienced this before. She explained that this was the "concept" and it was quite normal for a family to order food then all eat it 25 minutes apart. What utter BS... We sat and watched other tables get their food together, truth is they messed the order up. I don't want overshare... but I'm writing this at 5 in the morning after being up since 4.30 with a really bad stomach. WONT EVER GO BACK, I SUGGEST YOU DON'T!!!
