Absolutamente impresionante restaurante. Este era un lugar que a menudo pasabamos en coche, pero nunca nos dimos cuenta. Fuimos bien atendidos por una mujer joven que era muy amable y servicial. Era mi cumpleaños y mi esposa me estaba tratando, incluso me presentaron un desierto gratis con una vela mientras el carrito de la bandeja del robot jugaba feliz cumpleaños que fue un buen toque. Mi esposa tiene intolerancia a los lácteos y había tantas opciones para ella, así que volveremos. La comida aquí es de primera categoría y el ambiente era genial también. La comida era muy auténtica y no puedo recomendar un lugar mejor para la comida japonesa. A+ ALL ROUND! Volveremos.

He visitado el Kazoku en Hitchin con mi amigo y la comida siempre ha sido excelente. Estaba en Bedford así que decidí echar un vistazo a su restaurante en la ciudad. Está justo al final de la carretera desde el puente principal de la ciudad desde el Hotel Swan, así que si estás en la ciudad no está lejos de llegar allí. Cuando llegué no había mucha gente en el restaurante, pero el personal era educado y amable. También fueron muy atentos. No tuve mucho tiempo para esperar a mi entrante y tengo frijoles edamame de cortesía para pastar. Mi comida era excelente, muy sabroso! Fue realmente lindo ver el portabandejas robot en acción también : ) MUY RECOMENDABLE!

Tuve una experiencia gastronómica fantástica! La comida era excepcional, especialmente los aperitivos, y me encantó el zumo de manzana fresco con jengibre — fue un toque encantador. El servicio de mesa fue atento y eficiente, y me impresionó particularmente los robots que entregaron y limpiaron nuestros platos. El aparcamiento era conveniente, con fácil acceso en el sitio; entrar en mi registro era una brisa. Pedí la gyoza vegetal y los fideos de ramen vegetal mixto, ambos deliciosos. En general, una comida maravillosa que recomiendo encarecidamente.

I like Japanese food and seek out Japanese restaurants. The menu at Kazoku is extensive, covering most of the types of Japanese food and the quality was excellent and delicious. Prices are reasonable by Japanese restaurant standards. However, the service was slow despite there only being 6 other diners there when we arrived (6 pm on a Thursday). Also the room was cold, I had to eat with my coat over my shoulders. I will probably go again for the quality and variety of the food, but only on a warm day.

We have driven past Kazoku many times but thought we really should try it after seeing the robot in other reviews! We have eaten sushi a few times but needed some help with our choices. The waiter who looked after us was super helpful - made some recommendations which we took advantage of and checked regularly to make sure we were happy with everything. From the delicious complementary seaweed through to the ice creams and sake at the end of the meal we had a great evening. A special thank you to Shubati (not sure how to spell this name) who was so kind and helpful. We will certainly return.

Delightful we really enjoyed it and went really early due to our sons having aspergers. They loved the food and the serving robot. I couldn’t manage all of my food so they made me a ‘doggy bag’ which I promptly finished off an hour later. The food is freshly prepared and you can taste the flavour better. Great chefs, great service and good pricing. The robot delivery made it extra special just a shame she didn’t face the table and give us time to take a clear picture/video A ‘go back to’ restaurant:)

They don't care about customers. They have got a parking area wich is not very well visible, close to another parking area you are passing through , and they are not informing you and obviously can get find 60 pounds . They are claiming that you need to pay attention but they forgot that you are the customer and come to them to give them money and sustain their business at list they can print and wrap a signage to show you where their parking area is (for 10 pounds signage you are paying 60 the fine). The manager are saying you are stupid because don't look around..... i hope that a lot of stupid people to read this review and come to you . Good luck!

It started well but went downhill. We were given complimentary seaweed which was a nice suprise. We have never eaten here before so didnt know what to expect. My boyfriend had the tuna and cucumber uramaki which was also lovely. I also ordered two omelette nigiri. The other starters had arrived at separate times so we assumed that it was just going to arrive when it was ready. The mains then arrived which were tasty but not AMAZING and portion sizes smaller than we expected. The waitress then cleared our table and then noone came back to our table for over 20 minutes. We weren't asked if we wanted dessert, any more drinks or the bill. We were just ignored. And still no nigiri. We ended up walking up to the bar to get some service and to pay. When I told the waitress I didn't get my nigiri she said 'yes I put it on the plate with the uramaki'. There was something extra on the plate with the uramaki that my boyfriend wasn't sure what it was. You may think this was silly of us but we had never eaten here before nor had nigiri, the waitress didn't tell us what she was serving and she put the plate down Infront of my boyfriend. I ordered these so why weren't they served to me separately? And there was only one, thats why we thought it was something else. After all, the other dishes had come with unexpected accompaniments (soup and seaweed) so we thought it was just something that came with his uramaki. Still totally baffled why she served it on his plate and placed it directly in front of him. When she explained this at the bar at the end you could tell she thought we were stupid and then had the cheek to offer me the 2nd nigiri that they had forgotten to serve for me to eat whilst we were stood at the bar. All I could do was laugh and say no thanks. Says a lot when the best service was from the robot. Food that we did eat was tasty. See photo for how the nigiri and uramaki were served. Why is a veggie item on same plate as meat item when ordered by two different people?

We’ve visited several times since they opened as we love the food - especially the miso black cod and the pumpkin croquettes! The robot waiter is quite an experience too! The decor could do with a little improvement as it lacks visual ambience somewhat, but if you’re looking for amazing Japanese food - this is your place!

Had a nice evening with great service (mainly down to Shuyeb who was so very kind and helpful as were the other girls who served) and the food was very tasty. My particular favourite was the Tempora vegetarian dish. Needed to ask for the spicy mayonnaise which, strangely, did not come automatically but that was not a problem. We will be returning very soon.

You can taste the freshness of their food. It was very good with the right portions. The vegetable tempura was perfectly cooked, not overloaded with too much batter. The servers were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come here again.

I recently ate here with a friend, we received a friendly greeting. Drinks order taken immediately whilst we were given time to look at the menu. So many options to choose from, I ordered all vegetarian and it was delicious. Food come swiftly, hot and fresh. Will definitely go again. Thank you Kazoku.

Visited Kazoku yesterday. The waitress was very blase about menu items and not friendly- no greeting, don't return to check if food is OK. There were lots of tables with complaining customers who hadn't been served food items yet as the restaurant was busy. Waitreses being called to get drinks and not returning for a long time. When the food arrived however, it was tasty, sushi and ramen was good. On a positive note there was a waiter at the end called Shawib who was very polite and courteous and apologised for the delays (although he wasn't our waiter). If all waiting staff was like Shawib, I'm sure there would not be as many complaints.

I was really pleased to hear that this restaurant was in Bedford as I had heard good things about the one in Hitchin. On the positives, food tasted good and there was a lot of choice. Table was large to accommodate all of the dishes. I was also impressed with the amount of green tea I was given in one serving. However In contrast: the room was very cold and we had to sit with our coats on. We were quite a while before we were served and the server was not able to give us very much information about the menu. we didn’t feel particularly welcomed. Nobody came back to check if the food was okay and we weren’t offered any other drinks. We had four different Bento boxes and the food that was meant to be hot was cold; it was as if the trays the food was placed in were then put into cold outer boxes. There was a robot ‘helping’ but it didn’t seem to be working very well. Overall it was disappointing and we won’t be returning.

We visited for a family birthday meal this evening. The food was excellent. My husband needs a gluten free meal he had no problem choosing from the menu. The black cod was excellent as were all the dishes. The service was very good and we didn't have to wait long for our meal. The sake, wine list and beers were also great. Thank you for a lovely meal we will return.

Absolutely shocking service. My partner and I booked a table for a date night. We have a small child and rarely get to go out. We were sat down at 8 and waited 40 minutes. No one came to our table at all no offer of any food or drinks so we left at nearly 9pm and they didn’t even seem to notice! Hungry and needing to find something quick to eat to get back for the babysitter. A rare night out totally ruined by terrible service

Our first visit to Kazoku, have waited so long for a decent Japanese in Bedford We are novices with Japanese but we knew we liked sushi! The waitress was great and helped us to choose various dishes. I can honestly say everything was delicious and reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning! Was pleased to see there are plenty of vegan options so we can bring our daughter and son in law next time!

Estaba en Bedford para un evento y decidí visitar Kazoku para comer algo. Cuando llegué el restaurante no estaba muy ocupado y una camarera amable vino a ayudarme enseguida. Una vez que había hecho mi pedido no tardó mucho en llegar mi comida y sabía muy bien. El restaurante estaba limpio y ordenado y había un ambiente muy agradable. MUY RECOMENDABLE!

Estuve en Bedford por una noche y quería comer algo antes de ir a mi evento. Decidí visitar Wagamama, que está al lado del río y el puente peatonal. Entré en el restaurante y no había anfitrión. El personal parecía estar corriendo a diferentes mesas que servían a la gente, pero no podía llamar la atención de nadie. Finalmente un hombre vino y me llevó a una mesa. Me dijo mi número de mesa y dijo que Priya sería mi servidor y luego se fue. Me senté allí por lo menos 5 minutos y nadie vino. Un par de funcionarias pasaron por delante en diferentes momentos, pero ninguna de ellas tenía placas de identificación, así que no pude identificar quién era Priya. Al final me conecté a internet y empecé a ver un programa del que estaba harta de esperar. ¡Al final vino una señorita y logré establecer que esta era Priya! Tomó mi orden y pronto llegó mi comida. En realidad era muy sabroso, pero el personal continuó zumbando alrededor del restaurante. No estoy seguro de que tuvieran poco personal, pero es evidente que no tuvieron tiempo de hacer comprobaciones ni de abordar ningún problema. Logré llamar la atención de Priya llamando al otro lado del restaurante mientras ella limpiaba una mesa y me instalé. Esta fue mi primera experiencia en Wagamama y si esto es lo que es en su cadena entonces es muy poco probable que vuelva a cualquiera de sus otros restaurantes.
