Sun Shing in Rugby

Not good at all, the rice was undercooked & tasteless, the chicken balls were swimming in grease & the salt & pepper chips were also tasteless & undercooked.

Portion size really small. Food quality poor. Tasteless.

Always use the Sunshing, hot food, popping flavours, delicious & friendly delivery. highly recommended.

This is the only Chinese Takeaway I use. It's been over 50yrs with various owners but the quality and service is always excellent.

Easily our favourite Chinese takeaway. The food is always piping hot, fresh and tasty. Delivery driver is always polite and cheerful. 5 stars, every time.

Everything is good quality and good price, only things I would like them to improve is they should make large vegetable spring rolls🥦🥬🧄 and the tofu is too thin and crispy, so would be tastier if larger and softer. 🍜🥡🍽️🥢and they need to have larger portion option to order for curry dishes, we would recommend them and order again!

food was very cold and didn't taste right at all. Everything was very dry and tasteless. Couldn't eat the majority of it.

Blah - Chicken & Mushroom soup with very little chicken and Beef Chow Mein with very little beef - There is a reason this Chinese takeaway is cheaper than other 🤷 All the food was very bland as well - I won't be using again and I recommend others look elsewhere before ordering from here 🙏

Always get a great Chinese from here. Never fault it. Its our go to Takeaway place when we want a Chinese. Food is always hot when we get a delivery. Great service great food.

Me and my son are always happy to order from this wonderful restaurant. The food is always delicious with very good quality ingredients and fair prices. The food was hot and fresh and 35 minutes early! Lovely delivery driver. Sweet and sour tofu, tofu with vegetables, chow mien and vegetable fried rice. Hard to find tofu dishes, this is a definite winner! Thanks for my delicious food! 😊

Large portions very tasty hot on arrival

Called and ordered went to pick up , but shop was closed bags of clothes in front and lights off. Old chap quickly came to the door and passed out a bag of food for £20. Got home to find the worst ever Chinese. Frozen chicken onions and peas boiled with a dollop of curry saucevon top. Chow main went straight in the bin as smell was awful. Rice worse than microwave stuff. Never again. Binned the lot.

Very good customer service. Always gives me free crackers. 99% of the time the food is perfect however the odd occasion the chicken balls are over cooked.

Main food tasted like an ash tray tonight. Salt and pepper chips look like they were cooked yesterday and reheated. Delivery time extends by half hour after order is approved. Only good part of the meal was onion rings and prawn crackers.

Awful meal, couldn’t finish it. Crispy beef was dry with no sauce (despite ordering the one with a pic of veg and sauce), barely any edible meat in the pork and duck main and the seaweed was burnt. So disappointing - will never order from here again and would advise others against it.

Well I haven't been in here for some time when on 4 occasions I lived in New Bilton Area over various years since the 70s. But during the 90s this was the place to visit. What it's like now I haven't a clue. But I'll give it 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from my previous visits. I'll give them a try again soon. Will they get the all important 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ? Only time will tell. Then I'll update this when the time comes 🤞🍤🥡

Really nice tasting food, not greasy like some can be.

Have had good food from here mostly in the past for the price. This time, Chicken balls were very very greasy with lots of oil and were stringy. Chow Mein was greasy with not much taste or sauce. Egg fried rice was slightly hard for our liking. Crab claws, curry sauce and sweet and sour sauce was good. The spicy crispy chicken wings were greasy, not as spicy or crispy as we would have liked. A bit of a disappointment for the family mid week treat unfortunately.

There was a hair in the chicken fried rice, sweet and sour sauce smelt off and gloopy, chicken balls were mushy. I haven’t phoned for a refund or anything because with food like that they’re going to need it.

Sun Shing always give great service and excellent quality food. Dishes are always full of flavour. The hot & Sour soup is amazing! Delivery is always prompt and in good time with a polite service.

Regular customer and always lovely! Order came early but was missing a chow mein, wasn’t bothered as received an egg fried rice instead by accident. Without asking they sent the chow mein 5 minutes later with free prawn crackers. Great service as always.

Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy as could smell what smelt like tobacco smoke on the veg chow mein which kind of put me off. It may have just been the oil it was cooked in but it had a distinct smell which put me off the food. The drink was ok though

The prawn crackers were rubbery and stale, the chicken balls were over fried, the chicken satay tasted more like gravy. Just disappointed and couldn’t eat it, feel like I wasted my money on my weekly treat, will not eat from here again anytime soon.

Food could have used more seasoning, garlic and ginger. But very solid and reliable, and super fast delivery. Rice, chicken and sweet and sour was amazing! Szechuan peppered beef was very good

Having used Sun Shing many times in the past, this was by far the worst food we have experienced in a very long time. Portions sizes were very small and the Kung Po Chicken and Special Chow Mein were very bland. Will avoid in the future.

We order from here because our Chinese was closed. Never again. Satay chicken completely dry with burn dip. Prawns has no other vegetables but tones of onion. Crispy beef not crispy at all just little bit of sause which completely disappears.

I was very disappointed with the quality of the food- seaweed was overcooked and under seasoned, fried rice was dry and bland, sweet and sour sauce was very watery and generic, vegetable spring rolls were clearly frozen then fried. The duck In Chinese sauce was tasty.

Great food and service but portion size is getting smaller and smaller not good.

Very quick delivery, piping hot and fresh food. Not greasy or heavy and the chilli dishes are full of fresh chili's with a kick. Price is a little lower than most other places, the portions are not quite as large which is ideal for us and helps prevent that unpleasant overly full feeling. Would definitely recommend.

Never in my life have I felt so insulted at the quality and quantity of food. Even if the price was halved I wouldn't be tempted to give this restaurant another chance. I genuinely cannot understand how the reviews are so good here, besides if they're bot reviews. Save yourself some money and go literally anywhere else:)

The chicken balls are horrendous full off grease the lemon chicken was dry not edible but the spicy chicken wings are fantastic the rice is great chow main was amazing and the chicken curry was fantastic so will order again

We havnt had a Chinese meal for years and this blew us away. Especially the beef with ginger. Gorgeous.

Food quality is always spot on, we are only going to this Chinese in town. Biggest compliments to the chef, taste is well balanced, the whole family approve including children. Arrived on time, piping hot, and delicious as ever. Highly recommend!

The food was excellent. It came at about the time stated, but collecting it from the takeaway was a very strange experience. There are no lights on at the takeaway, so it looks as if it is closed; a scruffy dog-eared notice asks punters to knock and wait; but when I knocked nobody came for at least five minutes and then they weren't sure which meal, if any was for me. It would be good for this business to open up in a pre-pandemic way and welcome their customers.

Half of what was ordered came slightly different. Also, size of the food container is almost half of most Chinese restaurants. Definitely won't buy from them again.

Sorry to leave a bad review but the food wasn’t nice. No flavour. Watery sauce. I wouldn’t eat from this place again. Food went in the bin.

I would say you pay for what you get but in this instance you don't, small portions and what looked like beef stuck together for hours if not days. And I wouldn't even go there with the curry sauce they use, your best off using some curry bisto granules.

Majority of the food was very good but the sweet and sour chicken balls need some improvement, batter to soggy and the chicken was a bit slimy.

I normally rate this place however tonight the food just wasn’t cooked properly. The veg sprint rolls had been deep fried as normal but not for long enough as the pastry wasn’t cooked all the way through. The chips were mostly uncooked and the squid was only half cooked. I’m shocked at how bad it was today compared to normal.

The food was really bad, salt andchili chips had no chili or salt and weren't even crispy. Prawn toast was soggy, and the crispy shredded beef was one big lump which didn't break apart. Chow mein was fine, but stone cold. Definitely won't order from here again.

Greasy horrible food rude Customer service told me to bin it and contact just eat I have pictures of the food and just eat have declined a refund so that's a £18.50 waisted I ad to order from another place I won't be using just eat again

Food was not nice, chicken balls was so greasy you can squeeze the oil out of them, chips luke warm, curry was horrendous. Rang up and all I got was bin it just eat will refund. So now got to chase up with just eat for a refund and order from somewhere else.

Ordered 2 currys, did nit taste like curry, very thick sauce with a revolting taste. Tried ringing but no reply, had to go and purchase from somewhere else. Never again

Chilli salt tofu was nice, crispy batter and fresh chilli. Egg fried rice was dry and didn’t taste great. Delivery fast and friendly driver. Overall ok, might try again but won’t rush to.
