currently doing research into Chinese delivery. IE when I find a decent one that delivers consistency in terms of food quality, I'll stick with that restaurant. This is about rhe 5th dial in I've had from China Palace and to look at the place, you really wouldn't expect the quality, service, taste and so far, consistency on my core requirements from an innocuous looking establishment. If its a good tasty Chinese you want , you could do worse than give The China Palace a go, I did and so

Disgusting!! Ribs were drier than Ghandis flip flop and the sauce for them was pure vinegar, the satay sauce was so watery it tasted of nothing and the chicken curry was raw, myself and daughter now feeling sick 🤢 the rice was so dry it tasted like it was a few days old and clumpy aswell. the prawn toast was so oily it was dripping, absolutely vile meal

It was cold, I live in walking distance of the shop., it was cold and all round horrible, the crackers were stale and the food looked as if he was from the night before. Never again.

the chips were not very good at all,Luke warm and rubbery too expensive for what I paid...! sweated too long in the bag so NOTHING was crisp and it took an age to get here so not a good meal

The starters were better than the main course which lacked flavour.

Terrible!! Waited for an hour and a half at least for my food had to call them twice to find out where it was. Never ordering from them again!!

Beef Curry was too dry to eat, too many onions and mushrooms bulking out the food.still I think the bin enjoyed it.

Tasteless cheap noodles and bland curry , disappointing

Ordered chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice and sweet and sour chicken, there was no chicken in the chicken chow main only peppers onions and carrots, I usually specify no onions as I can't eat them. The food was supposed to be delivered between 5.40 to 6 pm but arrived at 5.10 and it was cold 🤷‍♀️ probably wouldn't order again

Chips cold and soggy, chow mein had a bad smell and the meat was all cold like it had been added after. Wings were ok but £7 for 6 little frozen wings.

Mushroom omelette was expensive for what it was and chips seemed like refries as they were very hot and hard

Midweek - took 1.5 hours to deliver despite an initial estimate on ordering of 40mins. No explanation / compensation or communication from them. Do not order from them if you are hungry.

A friend recommended China palace as they think it’s one of the best so we tried it and was not disappointed as it’s one of the best we have had in a while except free prawn crackers were missing

Amazing!!! Our go to Chinese is closed and we used to use China palace so thought we we go back and We’ll it was the best Chinese I’ve had in a very long time!!! Turned up early too so bonus

it wasn't bad food but certainly not great.They didn't update the system so it remained on"we have your order"status the entire time & arrived cold.House special rice had V.little sauce & meat was strange &cut into uniform flat square shapes ,like sandwich meat that was cut into quarters.Satay sauce was very watery & thin.Chow mein had very little flavour.Egg fried rice tasted & looked as it should & the chips were fried nicely. Despite not updating the system it did come on time.

Food from here is usually spot on and the Singapore noodles and salt and chilli chicken were lovely. But this time the chips were dry and inedible and the bbq sauce was thin and flavourless. Will use them again because it’s unusual for anything to be bad.

Ordered a Satay Chow Mein, received a Singapore chow mein, no peanut butter sauce at all, luckily that's my other go-to dish, and it was tasty! Mixed dumplings were good aswell! Delivery was around 2.5 hours from ordering on justeat

That’s 30 mins from amended delivery time, food was cold and chips stale

Normally go to the shop but tonight phoned and ordered a meal for delivery. Requested one dish not on the Menu which was no problem. The meal arrived under the estimated time, piping hot and absolutely delicious. Will definitely be ordering delivery again.

Food is always fresh, tasty and a good quality. Staff were fast and friendly at collection.

Forever our favourite takeaway place. For us they always deliver early and it always tastes crisp hot and fresh and not too greasy

Food was delivered early though driver had problems finding my flat initially. Food was lukewarm and really just ok. Nothing about the food or delivery was awful, but have had several Chinese takeaways that were better. Probably wouldn't order again.

Very disappointed in the chicken balls, very pale not crispy and some were undercooked and pink! Put me right off, the mini vegetable spring rolls had a horrible fishy taste that was unpleasant. Only positives, arrived early, hot enough, and the chips and chow main were good enough. First and last time here.

Awful and missing part of order

Every item we ordered tasted as though it had been reheated rather than made fresh. Not very good at all.

If I could rate this restaurant a 0 I would. Food took the p*ss to arrive waited 1 hour and nothing came. Called the restaurant and they said it would be 30 mins. No food. Called back 30 mins late told it would be 20 mins. No food. Couldn’t connect my call to ring back. It’s now been hours and no food. Had a Maccies instead and the McCrispy was 10/10.

2 hour wait for a delivery, food turned up like warm. No explanation or apology. Avoid like the plague

It wasn’t even late 60 minutes it was late 2 hours I want a full refund back and also the chips were cold and hard and the chips weren’t salt chilly pepper they were both normal. I am very angry with how I was treated and I want my full refund because I won’t let it go

Very poorly this morning after eating from here, reported to council as chicken balls were not cooked properly been sick all night with a bad stomach very disappointed with this place

Prawn crackers I ordered were missing but I was reimbursed emmediately, otherwise all good.

Best chinese takeaway in rugby!

i went here the other day and i smelled a disgusting stench coming from the cashiers top lip, it doesn't seem like he brushed his teeth or washed his hands. i took a huge whiff and nearly passed out, he came out and farted right on my mums face, not a happy bunny. he seemed to have digested a few too many eggs. whiffy woo.

The dumplings have changed and not in a good way, smaller, tighter pastry made it too thick and very unpleasant to eat. Chips were very dry. Curry wasn’t very saucy. Ribs were quite tasteless. Disappointed.

Always good & delivery always within 15 mins. Be nice if a complimentary bag of prawn crackers was delivered with the order though especially with customers that order regularly!

Delivery driver was very polite and friendly

My first time ordering from here, and I can honestly say it was some of the best chicken chow mein I’ve ever had. Even though it was slightly delayed, my food arrived piping hot and it was so delicious, there was no seconds left. Would definitely order from here again

We have used this takeaway numerous times in the past, we've collected and had delivered. How on this occasion we collected but when got home one of the set meals we'd ordered was missing. I rang them to explain and they asked for us to collect in 10 mins. whereas they should've delivered it to us as it was their mistake. I had to collect which meant that meant my meal went cold. although they were apologetic i will think twice before I use them again.

Me and my mates ordered from here yesterday and I ordered egg fried chips and curry sauce and I opened it the box was all ripped on the lid and my curry sauce spilt all over the box and the bag and I opened it I had 2mouth fills of egg fried rice and it was gone I rang them and complained and the person on the phone was rude and kept hanging up and told me to order from somewhere else when I already paid for it and kept laughing being very rude so I will never order from here again food is terrible don’t get what you order and the staff is very rude
