Good Service and great food will come here again

Everyone in this town always says..this place best...etc depending on area..and there all good on there own right ✅...we all love Asian food..in this town..but when it comes to top quality and no stupid inflation increase on menus which we have experienced..this local business has a excellent chief that delivers food that is beyond restaurant quality...service is on point never late always happy...standards over many years of service in difficult times has never failed to me ..iv entertained so many people from up and down country and they have all agreed how good this establishment is..so there I'm happy enough said keep up the good work guy's...quality at great price 👌....always..steve 👍...

Had delivery from here for first time and will be the last. Food all soggy and very bland. Nothing had any taste. Waste of money, majority food just went in the bin. Driver arrived 30 minutes late and asked what I had ordered and had got confused with what was in his car.

Absolutely delicious meal this evening. Cooked fresh and not much waiting time we will definitely be going there again. 👍☺️

Used for 1st time. Tonight Ordered salt and pepper box (chips?!). And 2 main dishes. I have ordered and eaten some shockers in the past but think this 1 wins (to be fair prawn crackers and 2 free cans of coke were edible). Cost of living crisis...maybe...or perhaps people round here give it straight to the dog! ...(or hostages! )

Had the salt and pepper box for 2 last night & it was awful. So overcooked & tasteless.

Food didn't arrive on a quiet Sunday. Tried to call but were told it would be '5 minutes' but they hadn't asked our name so couldn't have know what order they were talking about and then hung up. Tried again - hung up. Avoid!

BEWARE!!! When it's nice it is nice, BUT when it's TASTELESS AND CONGEALED enough for you to take it back, THEY ARE RUDE AGRESSIVE AND DONT OFFER RESOLUTION. NEVER USE THEM AGAIN

First time ordering from this restaurant and it was absolutely amazing. I recently moved house and where I live does not offer very good Chinese options. The delivery was early, the food was piping hot and every single dish was delicious! I will definitely be ordering from here again whenever I am in Rugby!

Absolutely awful. The person on the phone took ages to get my order right after repeating it over and over. Tried to pay by card and someone had to phone me back. After half an hour someone phoned me back and told me it would be 45 mins delivery. When it arrived the cans were with the food so was warm. My chicken tasted awful. And was just warm. Wont be going back

Always order their starters box and it usually fills both me and my brother up! The staff are very kind and the place was even open on Chinese new year this year.

Cold service. No service. However discount applied of £10.30 for the entire meal we ordered. Food is normally good. Service has become significantly slower recently. Unfortunately was referred to the manager tonight. Definitely won’t be returning. Shame after 9 years. Thankfully the owner came to our house and threatened us.

This was shocking. Ordered from may flower for years, but tonight was just awful, they took over a hour to deliver and they missed two items from our order. Then when it turned up the chips where very greasy, ribs well...... we were to scared to eat them, and promised we would get cans cokes but we never received. The arent even worth a star.

I had a House special fried rice and normally it has plenty of gravy but it was really dry. I think They’ve changed suppliers at it seemed different and also the price has gone up considerably since the last time a couple of months ago.

Normally we love our takeaway from May Flower but was really disappointed in it yesterday, cold, pretty bland and skimping on the sauce all of a sudden? New ownership?

A little disappointed with our last order chips and pancake roll missing after waiting for 1.5 hours for delivery.

The food here is good, in the past it's been fairly consistent and customer service is usually excellent with food delivered within a reasonable time. Unfortunately the one thing that stops me wanting to order more is that everything is packaged in plastic. It would make me very happy if I knew the restaurant was exploring more sustainable materials or a return/reuse scheme for packaging. Last thing, we always ask to leave out the prawn crackers in a plastic bag and the fortune cookies, but they always comes anyway, it's just unnecessary and a complete waste.

Food was amazing and has been for years!! I still go back time and time again!! Friendly staff, great food, wide selection and good timing, so if they say it will be ready at a certain time it will be or you can order for a set time and it will be ready

I take my review back, been here for about 10 years had a bad experience that they did not handle very well. But today I order the usual and it is outstanding exactly what I asked for and everything seems as though it’s just been made. Thanks and keep this food standard up guys and I’ll be back every week like I was before

We have been using the Mayflower at least once a month since we moved into the area 5 years ago. Service is always friendly & fast and the food is consistently good. The dishes are packed full of flavour, meat is tender & veggies are fresh. We feel lucky to have such a great takeaway on our doorstep. Great value for money.

**BRILLIANT** First of all I live on a barge on the canal and was moored in the middle of nowhere between rugby and brinclow. I rang up a few places and not one would deliver to me, then I rang 'may flower's the gental man on the phone was very friendly and did say it would be a struggle to get to me and would cost me £5 delivery. (which I didnt mind paying as it was 5miles away and i understand it is in the middle of nowhere) Now i must say I'm not normally somebody to write a review but the food was here within 45mins and the driver phoned me and said "I'm in the car park and I can see a boat but not sure if it is you." so I opened the door and saw him and he said "yes its you" I was putting my wellies on to walk down the very moody toe path as I realised the driver actually walked down the toe path to my boat, in the mud, in his trainers. How very kind of you sir. Thank you very much. Then the food.. I ordered: Pancake rolls Chicken balls Curry sauce Egg fried rice Chicken chowmain Crispy beef in chilli Banana fritters x2 (£31 that's including the £5 delivery 'VERY CHEAP') Now, it has got to have been one of the best Chinese's I have EVER had, and I have them quite regularly. Not a thing I could complain about. It was gorgeous. Thank you guys 10/10 from me

My local Chinese used to be great but something changed and our favourite dish House Chow Mein and some others are too salty.

Having reviewed the CCTV footage of your return visit to the premises with the food to complain about the quality and advise us of your alleged subsequent illness we feel we should respond. After some considerable time talking with you It became obvious that your intention was to obtain a full refund and then leave with the food for which you had just been refunded, you were offered a 50% refund because you had eaten the main dish’s forming part of the order which you declined demanding a full refund, the owner then offered that and you took it but refused to return the food expecting to walk out with goods for which you had then, not paid. Two additional customers also present at the time found it necessary to intervene and take the food from you and return it to the owner as you had no intention of doing so, you then left the premises. When we enquired about your health, which was our first concern, and if you had been in contact with the health department you refused to answer, in fact your only responses referred to getting your money refunded which appeared to be your primary reason for coming back to the premises, your health not getting more than a casual mention early in the conversation. We take the health of our customers very seriously, it maybe that the May Flower is not best suited to your particular culinary requirements. Regards, May Flower.

Ordered here for about 10 years. The past few months he food has changed. We actually got really Ill yesterday just eating! Do not buy!!! Not even my dog would touch it absolute disgrace. Rang up to complain and they just hung up a number of times. I then went in to confront them just to get my money back as the food was literally untouched due to the statue of it. They only wanted to offer half the money back while the male behind the counter was laughing at me. I think the service has gone poor the food and the hygiene seems to be no existent. I will never go here again and I did not even want a free meal out of it (not that they offered) please do not waste your time go elsewhere. As you can see between 3 people how much was even poured out before given back

The beef and mushroom chow mein and a spring roll was really tasty, very filling, and stayed hot whilst I travel back to digs. Good on price £7.80. adapted to my dietary requirements with no bamboo. Didn't have to wait more than 15 minutes, and open early, called in after work. Spot on I would definitely recommend.

I didn’t go to Mayflower to buy a meal in a month ,but I saw that the owner said that it would improve the service.Yesterday I went to buy a meal again, but I still heard a serious cough in the kitchen. I didn’t dare to eat it when I got it.Pour it into the trash. I want to ask the owner,have you improved the service？l have two friends to buy a meal and l also hear a serious cough.If you are sick,see a doctor.Please don’t take the health of all our customers to make money. I hope that the relevant health department can send people to check.

Mayflower must have changed it’s chef in the last the 6 months. I used to recommend this Chinese as the best in town but now it’s nothing short of disgusting over cooked meat and even prawn toast is burnt which should be a simple dish. I have to consider using a different Chinese maybe sen yip

Very good Chinese food , just the right amount of spice , the salt and pepper dishes are really good , however there was very little meat in the Singapore rice , that's why just the 4 stars , however if they fix this they have a new regular customer

I have used the May Flower for some years now. There is a great range of dishes and no matter what I have ordered - I use the delivery service usually - the food arrives very quickly and piping hot which I like. The dishes we normally order are always really tasty and cooked well. The delivery drivers are great too! Just remember it's closed on Mondays!

This was the first time of ordering at the May flower having moved here earlier in the year and was greatly surprised the meals were great and delivered in record time thanks will definitely order again

I've always enjoyed whatever I've purchased from May Flower, until today that is. One of their best and tastiest dishes was the Twin Fried Rice consisting of rice, shrimps and meat with a sweet and sour sauce at one end of the carton and a curry sauce at the other. However it's pretty clear that the 'suits' or 'accountants' have become involved in the kitchen as although the carton remains the same size, what's in it is a big big disappointment now. The menu states shrimps, but I found only one singular shrimp. Meat was marginally easier to find with three short thin strips of chicken prominently displayed on top and a couple of miniscule pieces of a dark brown meat hidden beneath. I guess that the container also held a desert spoon full of sweet and sour sauce and a similar quantity of curry sauce, the rest of the contents being just rice. And to add insult to injury they've increased prices by about 5% since my last visit. As another correspondent commented recently, "time to find somewhere else". I shan't be back.

This used to be easily the best Chinese Takeaway in Rugby, however it's gone downhill fast. The curry doesn't taste like any chinese curry I've ever had before, I imagine Lidl's cooking sauce would be better. Portions are smaller and the quality of the meat is poor. Time to try somewhere new!

Do not use this takeaway.... We ordered two chicken fried rices tonight, basically raw rice with chicken.... worst takeaway ever... Plenty of better ones in the Rugby area.... so mad writing this as the wife just put this raw crap in front of me.

People on the site are friendly,good portion of food for money worth and excellent on delivering.payment methods are flexible as they take card payment for both delivering and collecting orders.

Had a meal for two which smelt disgusting. The meat was horrible like it had been left for a while. Rang to complain and not even an apology. Considering we have had many meals from there and been more than happy, we are very disappointed. Not great really......

We often have flyers put through the door for takeaways, and the MayFlowers is the only one we don't bin. Consistently good hot meals delivered quickly at a reasonable price. There always seems to be leftovers for that late night munch ;o)
