very dissappointed to call in for food and drinks.were told food was served till 4pm,we arrived at 3pm to be told they wernt serving anymore food..must be doing ok to turn a family of 6 away,,,thanks

Quiet relaxing pub on the main road, easy parking with charging points. The menu looked new, and I was surprised by the quality of the food, it was cooked properly, hot, and it tasted better than many so-called high-end restaurants that I have visited in the past year or so. Service was quick and efficient, and the prices were nothing to complain about. Definitely worth a visit next time I pass.

Poor communication at bar , changed one meal order and ended up cancelling the other meal Only 1 meal came out after waiting 40 mins Think the Chef was having a bad day. Definitely not customer friendly

I can highly recommend the ultimate southern fried chicken burger and also the rocky road sundae. Absolutely delicious, yum.

Food was OK but basic, the pub was not very clean. The toilets filthy, the men's had sick up the wall. Dirty glasses and cutlary. Won't be returning. God knows the state of the kitchen!

Love my local pub! Staff are so friendly and the service is fab, only thing i can fault is the kitchen should be open later on a weekend.

Phenomenal service 100% recommend Heather and Claire on a Thursday night are genuinely top notch! Can’t fault them!

Had the pleasure of Christmas dinner at the Sun inn, the staff were fantastic and polite very helpful. The food came quick and was lovely highly recommend this pub for food and drink.

What a disgrace! When we walked in, we were told there is "No Carvery, as it has gone off!" Really???? Surely that is not how you greet potential clients???? Needless to say, we did not stay to even have a drink. Looked at the menu and left to go somewhere else!

Warm, welcoming atmosphere. Popular venue with lovely locals. Laura was an absolute star! It's hard to find good bar staff, but she really excels! Looking forward to many more visits. It's about the atmosphere, not the condition of the toilets 😊

Mediocre type of pub, not bad, but not great. Food is also "middle of the road" quality. I had a classic burger, and I couldn't say for sure, but it tasted like the meat had been frozen and so, wasn't fresh. Apart from a few noisy customers who don't give a dam about other people. It has a reasonably good atmosphere created by the staff. (They smile!) P.S. Apparently, they are pet friendly, too!

Selected this place based on positive Google reviews. It was awful! Disgusting food. Toilets are filthy. Rather go hungry than return here.

The crowd there were scary !!drunk and intimidating ... the place was scruffy and run down .We walked out as they had no food delivery so no chips ..no fish .. no quite a few things ..won't be going back ..kids were hungry.

I've been visiting the sun Inn now for some time.. the difference in the food since Tanya has been in the kitchen is amazing.. Heather always greets with a smile and is loved by many customers.. over all Lauren and Craig have a amazing team and are doing amazingly well... I would highly recommend giving the sun Inn a visit...keep up the fab work guys..

Tanya in the kitchen has brought food back to a standard that is enjoyable.. she will take time out to ask that everything is OK with your food.. would recommend a visit.. atmosphere is good. Service is good... Heather always greets with a smile...

Good Pub but closes a bit early for meals

Pub was quiet but took over 50 minutes to serve us food … didn’t serve the drinks until reminded and seem to forget that we had asked for the starter to be served with the main. They did apologise but then back chatted at the bar in our ear shot !! Gents toilets could do with a deep clean, smelt like a hamster cage. Shame as the EV charging point was at a convenient distance from where we lived on our journey. Hopefully things will improve if we visit again and some staff training on customer service will take place.
