Summerhouse in North Somerset

Our company Weathered Oak Studios recently used the Summerhouse pub to do some interview filming for a local mental health campaign and it was the perfect place to do so. The staff were very accommodating and couldn’t do enough to help us. We will definitely use again.

Lovely staff, great atmosphere, and good NGCI/GF menu. My husband and I come here often for work during the day, or a meal. We're often served by Tracy who is always a delight!

A lovely pub but received a parking charge notice as I completely missed any prompts (accepting this is my bad) - have emailed the pub team in the hope the charge can be overturned given I was indeed a valid patron. Here’s hoping.

A great, friendly pub that immediately makes you feel like it is your local pub, no matter how rarely you get to visit. Great food and great staff. Our favourite eatery whenever we are in Weston Super Mare

We were treated to a meal by our granddaughter. We had a surf and turf and a sirloin steak. Both steaks were tough and full of gristle. Not tender as expected. The rest of the meal was like it had been cooked the day before. Very disappointed

Pop in on a busy Friday evening. I ordered food and a pint on the new app, i got 10% off. My food came out fast and tasted good, i was served by the manager Beth who was very polite.

Went here for the first time on mother's day. It was the only place I could find that wasn't fully booked. Perhaps my experience here will help to explain why this was the case. The pub's layout is interesting but maybe not ideal for carrying food up to various levels to diner's tables. The app and QR code method of ordering food and drinks is a huge time waster, I wish to see the end of this total gimmick very soon. Not all of the drinks are on the app and those that are sold out will be notified to your table eventually, wasting more time. Same issue with the food on the menu. Which brings me to the matter of the food. It was lousy and looked nothing like the pictures on the menu and the menu lied about the meals content, ie one large pig in blanket is not a 40mm long chipolata with a smear of bacon down one side of it . Extra large roast dinner is the same ta standard, it just arrives on a bigger plate with the same micro gravy boat. The fried egg on the gammon was probably fresh earlier in the day, but now it's latex. Yes, it really bounced. This level of catering is below the standard of 1970's school dinners, I'm not joking. So there are a few faults with this venue. The app and the time it takes to sort out what is actually is available for sale. The delivery time for food to reach the table and finally the food quality, which is abysmal. I'll never go there again.

We went for Mothers Day, there was 9 of us. Despite us being a big group, service was fast, food was hot. Everyone enjoyed their meals, even my fussy 6 year old.

Tried the new plated Sunday diners. Had the half roast chicken. It was hot, came out fast and tasted really good. The service was good

Certainly won't be eating here again staff seemed to be under trained regarding allergies poor service missing food cold food sticky tables certainly sums up Weston Super Mare

Nice place usually - bar staff great. Steak took an hour and a half and was well done, not medium rare as ordered. No onion rings either as the menu promises. Had to scran as needed to catch a train but jaws aching from the steak still.

Popped in this morning for a coffee, was served by Kaylea who was really friendly and welcoming. Thank you!

Came in for a snack after work with the hubby not too busy, but a pleasant atmosphere. Tracy and Gary made a good team and made us laugh with their banter. Need more staff like this.

A friend and I went for lunch on Saturday was met by a lovely gentleman called Gary what a lovely chap full of laughter and smiles nothing to much trouble very welcoming will definitely be back once again thank you for a great experience Gary E

There was 6 of use that went for lunch on Saturday lunch time the service was excellent the food was great and nice and hot ,we decided to have dessert which was lovely too,a big thank you to Gary E for a warm welcoming and nothing was to much trouble 😀 we will be back.

We went for the new quiz night here yesterday and had a great evening. The new landladies are so friendly and could not have been more welcoming. It had gone downhill before, so numbers of customers had dwindled. It would be great to get more customers for the quiz. Will be eating here before the next quiz which is to be Monday 24th March.

Love coming here!! Amazing food and the service is great! After having a lovely family meal and being served by Beth and food delivered by ruby, the staff made us feel beyond welcome and accommodated! Beth is doing a great job with her staff, you can see she is putting her all in making the pub a success! The pool table is a bonus, cheeky game after food made the night. Great atmosphere and a really good choice of food and drink. Everyone is amazing that works there and so friendly. The food and drinks are top quality and I’d highly recommend

Come here often with friends and family. Food is always hot, and service is quick. Staff are always smiling and will go out of their way to ensure you have a great time. Love that the quiz is back too! Host is really engaging and we had lots of fun followed by a game of pool.

It is really terrible that they have now stopped taking orders at the table and you have to either use an App or order at the bar which can take an age. Items that we required did not appear on the App which we had to ask the staff why, we were told that they were not currently available, so it is easier to leave and go elsewhere. Please go back to the way it was with personal attention.

Food was cold, very expensive. Send my food back as it was cold and it came back out colder. Would definitely give it a miss

Took my mum out for some lunch and it was lovely. Food was delicious and the gentleman, Jamie I believe, serving us was so friendly!

Came today with my family and was pretty much served child’s portions and the burgers were very dry and hard. Was so good before I don’t know what’s happened!!

Wow what can I say firstly I would like to say I like the parking system a lot better then the other one! Even when entering the car park you see the signs everywhere as well as inside the pub which is a nice reminder to enter your registration in the computer inside the pub. The facilities of the pub are great as well we even had a little game of darts. The affordability and value are great as well we order food and drinks even when ordering at the bar for drinks the staff were friendly and happy. They even had a nice beer garden I will have to come back when it is not raining to try it out 😉 Makes made my visit is the fact that the summerhouse of DOG FRIENDLY they even have a dog treats, water bowls and even a cute little doggy menu ❤️ Well done to the summerhouse keep up the hard work.

Fantastic service from Tracey as always today!! I only come in because Tracey is here. Great welcome always knows your order and the only person who ever does a check back to make sure everything is ok!! Tracey is an amazing member of staff and it’s funny because if I’m unlucky enough to come in on her day off there are always more members of staff on and visible than when she is on her own so that says it all really !!

Came in for Sunday dinner. The new Sunday dinners were really good. The roast beef tasted really delicious and would come again

Met such a a lovely member of staff today, Tracy. She's carrying the whole premisis ALONE and every customer here has been more than satisfied with her hospitality. This wonderful lady has catered to customers from the food, to the drinks. Never met such a kind and friendly person in a bar. I hope the manager can support her with another member of staff to help because running 3 floors, kitchen and bar is impossible alone... Yet Tracey it a hero for managing it all. The staff here are certainly the highlight of the place. Hopefully they're valued more than they are now.

Came last night as a family of 7 and everything was perfect from the moment we came in. Our waitress Ruby was lovely as well and helped us with using the app. Food was great and was also hot when it was served to us, will definitely recommend and will be back!!

I went into the this pub/restaurant. I was greeted by this lovely behind the bar i’m pretty her name is Ellie. she gave me great service and was very welcoming. I appreciate her kindness.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Beth went out of her way to accommodate my mother's mobility issues. Lexi was friendly and helpful when taking our order. The food was delicious and came in good time.

This lovely lady called Kaylea was working behind the bar and was friendly and even told us about the cool hand cup but unfortunately I am no good at darts or I would of played but overall it was a lovely experience

The pub is really good and looks amazing and so is the food. Kaylea was working the bar she knew how to help me with an allergy that I have and showed me how to find which meals I could eat safely. We will definitely be back.

I love this pub! It’s a real balance of decent food, a range of ales and friendly staff. Beth and her team are always happy to help, and we are always greeted with a smile 😃 The pool table is a great addition and it was good to see a crowd enjoying a game on Sat night. We have always had pleasant visits, and would recommend a visit, whether you’re with a bunch of friends or looking for a cozy corner for two. Well done Beth, you’ve made a real positive change to this pub. We will be back!

Ordered by app, 1 item unavailable so chose a cheaper item - no refund of difference made. All steaks over done. Staff were friendly and polite, service was quick and efficient

I have been coming here for several years now. Cant fault the place. Good food, good relaxing atmosphere. I brought my mum along and she also approves! Good service and friendly staff. Special mention for Tracy who usually serves us, who always goes above and beyond.

Lunch deal-not a deal at all. £8.50 per head for a smaller than child's portion. Egg overcooked and still served with the smallest loin of bacon/gammon I've ever seen. Could count the chips on the plate. Not a deal for the customer...a cut price deal for the profit making pub. Crap quality and tiny portions for the price. We could get 2 for £12/13 in most pubs and have a much better portion size.

Beth and the team are amazing! Quick service and a friendly smile is ensured coming here. We are here every week for hockey and wouldn’t think about going elsewhere.

5 of us visited on 11/02/25 for a meal. The food was great could not fault it. The staff were brilliant and very helpful. Must keep going

The pub was nice and friendly. The staff were friendly when they brought the food over. We asked if we could pay for a corn on the cob as my toddler dropped his on the floor during our meal, but the staff member didn't come back to us, so we didn't get another one. We stacked our plates for them to be taken back to the kitchen, and they weren't sat on the table for too long, but I expect it helped being sat right next to the serving hatch. The wait for our main meals wasn't too long. Which was good as we had 3 hungry under 3s! But the wait for the dessert was quite a long one. There were 2 highchairs by our table, which we needed to use and both were broken, so we did use one of them for the 2 year old, but the 10 month old just sat on his mums lap for the majority of the meal. Overall, it was a good experience. Prices were a little higher than expected, but the food quality and amount of food were good for the price. I did an online order, instead of ordering at the bar and I found that the full menu wasn't available online. There is a car park, which you have to put your registration on a tablet inside the pub to use, otherwise you will get a parking fine. It is very close to worle train station and on a bus route. Pub is large, over floors. There is an outside seating area and plenty of tables inside, but I did find that a lot of tables were reserved.

This visit was no different from the last. All good was available. We didn’t have to wait too long and all food came out together and hot (we were a party of 11 inc. toddler). The service was excellent with smiles and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend and would not hesitate to come again.

It was very enjoyable and the staff are absolutely lovely!!

Food was tasty but service lacked, only 1 friendly face when we first walked in at the bar but once sat down no one acknowledge us, no one approached to see if we needed help or to inform us if it was table service or not just left in a cold corner of the room. We have been to many Marston's and this is by far the least favourite on service side

To book in advance was a nightmare. Phoned, and by web site. Eventually was able to book Roast carvery, I thought, and when I arrived was politely informed at 2pm all carvery had gone. Was given normal week menu. Me and my friend went with it and 20 minutes after was served.

Friendly staff and a clean environment, we used the app to order our food from the table for the first time which was a breeze. Good pub food.

Came for a carvery and they ran put by 1:30pm. I asked pizza with bbq sauce and it came with tomato and bbq sauce. Over all not a very good rating, not happy people, there were 10 of us.

This was the worst meal I've ever had anywhere and i will not be going back , didn't complain on the night as it was a treat .In all honesty I'd give it no Stars if I could,the staff need to take a trip to the Nut tree and see the difference absolutely shocking.

Served at the Bar by Tracy. Very friendly, courteous and efficient bar maid. All bar maids should be like her. One of the reasons for coming to the Summerhouse to be served by her. Top barmaid.

What happened to waiter service. Why change? Why force me to go downstairs to orderand leave my disabled friend who gets distressed if left alone. Why have you stopped honouring Blue Light on Sundays. Never happened before. Food was excellent your staff were helpful but clearly felt they were being prevented from provideing level of service we had experienced in the past

We sat down and ordered food. 20 minutes later we were told there was a 30 minute wait on food. 5 minutes later we were told they didn't have enough dough for the pizzas we ordered. We got a refund and left. This is the second time something like this has happened. Won't be going back!

My son & me went for a celebration meal as just moved to WSM. Service was easy online, food turned up quick and was hot, everything we needed. My son had the burger and me the Steak & Ale pie, great portions and nice tasting. The Chocolate brownie Sundae was enough to share and tasted divine, as my son said. Would definitely go back again. It’s a pleasure to get a tasty pub meal at a great prices with drinks and desert. Would definitely go back again 😀👍

Unfortunately they had run out of carvery as it's so popular but the food off the menu was yummy. Chicken was succulent and plentiful. We will be back but make sure we book next time.

Overall, the food was good and the staff were friendly. But few staff around. No-one at the bar, so we had to order online. Drinks came quickly, but food took quite a bit longer, and some of it was not really piping hot. Seemed it had sat around while other meals were being made (there were four of us). So perhaps economising on staff too much?

We didn't fancy a huge meal so my Husband and I ordered a baked potato with beans for me, beans and cheese for himself. We were very disappointed with the amount of beans. Maybe a tablespoon full which wasn't enough to moisten the potato. We were with a group and a few were with very few chips and a cold meal on arrival. All in all not a good experience and will not be recommending your premises 😞😞

I ordered food at the bar, the server took my order sorted the drinks, and we waited for the food. When it arrived it wasn't correct but when I questioned it it appeared that the order was taken incorrectly. Nothing wrong with the food per se but I wanted the rib and chicken platter and not just the chicken platter. Got a free drink due to the mistake. There wasn't the full selection of alcohol free beers available. Again not a massive problem, just frustrating I couldn't order exactly what I wanted. Other than that the food was hot although my wife thought the scampi was mushy.

Booked a table for 6 at 1PM to meet family for carvery get sat down and about to to order to be told we have ran out of carvery as we haven't done enough meat.... Absolutely ridiculous
