Friendly staff and a clean environment, we used the app to order our food from the table for the first time which was a breeze. Good pub food.

Came for a carvery and they ran put by 1:30pm. I asked pizza with bbq sauce and it came with tomato and bbq sauce. Over all not a very good rating, not happy people, there were 10 of us.

This was the worst meal I've ever had anywhere and i will not be going back , didn't complain on the night as it was a treat .In all honesty I'd give it no Stars if I could,the staff need to take a trip to the Nut tree and see the difference absolutely shocking.

Served at the Bar by Tracy. Very friendly, courteous and efficient bar maid. All bar maids should be like her. One of the reasons for coming to the Summerhouse to be served by her. Top barmaid.

Very friendly, helpful staff who served us. Lovely hot tasty food at a reasonable prices. However it was a bit cold where we sat, but overall great atmosphere.

What happened to waiter service. Why change? Why force me to go downstairs to orderand leave my disabled friend who gets distressed if left alone. Why have you stopped honouring Blue Light on Sundays. Never happened before. Food was excellent your staff were helpful but clearly felt they were being prevented from provideing level of service we had experienced in the past

My son & me went for a celebration meal as just moved to WSM. Service was easy online, food turned up quick and was hot, everything we needed. My son had the burger and me the Steak & Ale pie, great portions and nice tasting. The Chocolate brownie Sundae was enough to share and tasted divine, as my son said. Would definitely go back again. It’s a pleasure to get a tasty pub meal at a great prices with drinks and desert. Would definitely go back again 😀👍

Unfortunately they had run out of carvery as it's so popular but the food off the menu was yummy. Chicken was succulent and plentiful. We will be back but make sure we book next time.

We sat down and ordered food. 20 minutes later we were told there was a 30 minute wait on food. 5 minutes later we were told they didn't have enough dough for the pizzas we ordered. We got a refund and left. This is the second time something like this has happened. Won't be going back!

We didn't fancy a huge meal so my Husband and I ordered a baked potato with beans for me, beans and cheese for himself. We were very disappointed with the amount of beans. Maybe a tablespoon full which wasn't enough to moisten the potato. We were with a group and a few were with very few chips and a cold meal on arrival. All in all not a good experience and will not be recommending your premises 😞😞

Overall, the food was good and the staff were friendly. But few staff around. No-one at the bar, so we had to order online. Drinks came quickly, but food took quite a bit longer, and some of it was not really piping hot. Seemed it had sat around while other meals were being made (there were four of us). So perhaps economising on staff too much?

I ordered food at the bar, the server took my order sorted the drinks, and we waited for the food. When it arrived it wasn't correct but when I questioned it it appeared that the order was taken incorrectly. Nothing wrong with the food per se but I wanted the rib and chicken platter and not just the chicken platter. Got a free drink due to the mistake. There wasn't the full selection of alcohol free beers available. Again not a massive problem, just frustrating I couldn't order exactly what I wanted. Other than that the food was hot although my wife thought the scampi was mushy.

Booked a table for 6 at 1PM to meet family for carvery get sat down and about to to order to be told we have ran out of carvery as we haven't done enough meat.... Absolutely ridiculous

Came in for a snack after work with the hubby not too busy, but a pleasant atmosphere. Tracy and Gary made a good team and made us laugh with their banter. Need more staff like this.

Really poor customer service, tried to use a 30% off mains voucher to try the place out for the first time and the lady behind the bar tried to make it near impossible. Can’t order a chicken burger and a drink as it’s part of a set deal. Ok I’ll just have the chicken burger and no drink then please, no you can’t do that. I’d like a mixed grill, no mixed grills are on today apparently. Worst Marstons in Weston, stick to the Landing Light if you are looking for outstanding staff, who happily let you use your voucher without making it impossible as if the staff are having to make the shortfall up out of their own pocket. Avoid!

We had a lovely family meal on the 9th January, two meals out of 15 unfortunately had to go back but we could not fault the customer service from the manager on shift, the issue was more than adequately dealt with, he was courteous helpful and the little blip won't stop us from returning 😀

I cannot express how special our visit to this pub was! It was my mom’s very first time visiting a restaurant in the UK, as she’s from Brazil, and we wanted it to be memorable and it truly was! She was absolutely delighted by everything: the food was incredible, the drinks were perfectly crafted, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. A huge shoutout to the staff who assisted us, they were absolutely wonderful, attentive, and kind, making the entire experience unforgettable. I was left speechless! Thank you for giving us such a beautiful memory to cherish.

Been at the summerhouse with family for the first time and just didn't notice all the signs saying to register my car's registration so I don't have to pay for parking and got a ticket. Went back with the ticket, had a chat with the manager who told me to appeal and to provide proof of the order we had that night in the appeal and it should be fine. She also offered to help if the appeal is rejected but didn't guarantee anything which was fair. I was with my family again and looking after the little one I forgot the PCN on the table when we left but had a photo of it. When I tried to carry on with the appeal I've got a message saying the PCN has been cancelled. Sorry I'm very bad with remembering names, just wanted to say thank you and that you have a new customer!

Really nice place! There's an app you can use to order if you want but we just ordered at the bar. Good selection of 0% drinks, lovely staff, and my rare steak was cooked perfectly.

My girlfriend and i had a disappointing lunch here we ordered 2 baguettes one steak 1 peri peri chicken but had no more baguettes left so they offered us in a sandwhich instead.We went with it thinking it would at least be proper fresh bread as price stayed the same. But when came out was between the thinnest sliced bread you could get where the steak had nearly melted through the bread it left a sour taste in ones mouth for the price. But on a positive note the staff was very nice and place was clean.

We have been coming here for a long time and always found the food and staff good, but on the last couple of occasions our meal has been spoilt by children screaming and running around. I have no objection to children being in a restaurant but the parents should keep them under control when other diners are trying to have there meals. We will be going somewhere else in future.

We booked a meal for Christmas Day for which I paid the deposit in person (cash) and then paid the rest of the meal by card later on. I then got a phone call from a manager saying that I had an outstanding payment and they wanted me to hand them over more money. I then pointed out that we had paid enough money and while the person on the phone had to go and ‘sort something’ we heard her talking about us to her colleague saying ‘well let’s see if they pay or not’. When she got back on the phone, I informed her that I was wanting to pay but was just trying to make sure it was the right amount. She put it down to a ‘miscommunication’ and said she wasn’t talking about us when she clearly was. The meal was ok but did take a long time to come out. We were there for around 3 hours about 2 of which we spent waiting for food but we understand this due to it being Christmas Day and very busy. One of the main issues we had was that before the meal I phoned and asked if we could swap the Proseccos that come with the meal for glasses of coke as none of us drink. I was told this is fine and we were led to believe that this wouldn’t cost any extra. Then at the end of the meal one of the staff unexpectedly handed us a £42 bill for the cokes. When we explained what had happened they rudely told us we were wrong and tried to pressure my mother in law to pay for the drinks. The manager was then called over and we explained that there had been a misunderstanding and she rudely said ‘well there has been a mistake you still have to pay for them’. We then said that we would not pay for them just for her to rudely say that she isn’t going to argue with us which was fine by us so we left. Everyone at the table felt uncomfortable with this and it just seems that they were trying to get extra money out of us on 2 separate occasions. Make sure you go careful with Christmas Day bookings as there is either very poor organisation with payments or someone trying to pocket extra money from customers.

Great to have a dog friendly restaurant. Lots of seating. Good menu selection. Friendly staff. Unfortunately there were a few meals that weren't available but we were informed when we arrived.

Off the cuff visit, last minute booking for New Year eve 2024. Great atmosphere, buzzing, bar, eating, and music by DJ or other ( didn’t get to dance area, we were in dining area) will return.

The food was extremely poor. Even though we ordered 11th November, we were told some of our ordered food was unavailable. The Carvery had run out of Turkey, had very little Gammon and the Beef was dry. The Vegetables were dry, shrivelled and inedible and the Gravy had also run out. This was a family evening that we had been looking forward to for months and unfortunately it ended up being the worst meal I think we have ever had! We were not offered a discount which given the extremely poor quality of the food provided, I believe should have been.

Lovely pub right next to the train station. Very friendly staff and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommend going there for a pint and some food.

Food was only just warm, Yorkshire pudding & cauliflower cheese hard. Way OTT on prices. Staff friendly & helpful, especially Ruby whom has the ideal personality that customers require.

Went for Christmas dinner on Christmas eve, really lovely food. Ruby our server was lovely with a fabulous sense of humour. Thank you.

I will not be returning, been on numerous occasions, my food has been horrendous, others in my party fine . Today my steak didn't come as requested, seriously over cooked and cold .Asked if wanted a replacement and I declined. My partner and children's food wasn't great but they ate it. At this time of year you are seriously under staffed, your chef is complacent, our food was left on the pass for about 10 minutes under the halo lights, drying it out . We got a refund for my meal, which I would loved to have eaten. As someone that has worked in the food industry, you need to step your kitchen up and in house attention , both are horrendous x

Went in for lunch. We ordered off of the lunchtime menu. I felt the food was OK but not special. I had the veg chilli which was mostly kidney beans and quite small. My husband had the hunters chicken which was better value. May go again to try The main menu

We ordered from our time which we had reserved. Our starter came out and we asked for our main to come straight away, we didn't need to wait. We watched as three other tables which arrived after us get served and waited up to an hour and then asked a waitress where our food was. It was explained to us that it hadn't been cooked yet and that they would do it straight away, that it had been missed. Complimentary drinks were offered to us, which considering it was table service we were told we had to go downstairs to the bar to get them. Once the food came out our steaks were not medium rare they were more medium well done and they left a bad taste after each bite. One member of the table only ate half of hers and the other only had one bit. We told the waitress who told us that there had been several complaints about the steaks as they have a new supplier and we're working on it. Desserts were offered for free. 25 minutes after ordering the desserts they came out, one was hot on the bottom (sticky toffee pudding) but only warm on the rest of it and the chocolate cake tasted stale. To say we were not impressed is an understatement! We were not even welcomed on arrival and had to find our own table. I have worked in hospitality for many years and this was very unorganised, understaffed even considering it wasn't even full. Bar staff when doing our drinks mixed two different Rose's in the same glass, due to running out of one.

Overall the experience was good. It took a little longer than expected to get the first order of drinks and food after ordering on line but the pub was busy. The food was hot and very tasty. I can see why the offer to upgrade chips size is there as it was quite a small portion that came as standard

We had to wait an hour for food and when we asked where it was the server apologised and asked us to go down to the bar for complimentary drinks. There was less than a quarter glass of the wine my friend was drinking so she got a different one. The bar staff topped up the wine with the different brand instead of getting a different glass. The steak was disgusting when it arrived. We mentioned this to the server who stated that there has been multiple complaints about the steak and offered free desserts. Would definitely not recommend eating here

We always enjoy our occasional visits to the Summerhouse because of the excellent service provided by Tracy. She is always cheerful, efficient and helpful. Our food on this occasion was not as good as on previous visits, the steaks were not cooked as ordered and had to wait a longer than usual time.

I got served by a lovely young lady called Sienna. Very nice and friendly. pub is very clean and inviting 🙌 would come again

Lovely family pub, good food. When I dropped in for a bite to eat, I had a small salad really good value for money and some BBQ chicken wings with loaded fries. There was a 92nd birthday party on the 3rd floor, wished the man happy birthdayhe stopped to chat, just Lovely. Everyone was nice, good pub for family and couples wanting friendly atmosphere.

Me and my family really enjoyed the food. We didn't really had to wait long for the meals to arrive the staff were lovely and polite, so I would definitely recommend going here.

Went with my partner to meet witha group of friends from the Midlands, South Wales and Devon so most people had travelled a significant distance. The pub is nice, it was warm and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The selection of bitters/ales was very poor. Only Banks's original on draught. There was another, think it was an IPA that had a sign saying it was conditioning in the cellar and that's it. Nothing on any of the 6 hand pulls that were available. I quite like lager though so it wasn't too much of an issue for me. The real problem is the food. The menu options are dull to say the least. And what is served........well, to be frank, you should be ashamed. I ordered the cowboy burger with added jalapeños £11.99 for the burger, plus an added 79p for 4 slices of jalapeños. It was crap. Burgers had obviously been pre cooked for a while before serving, small amount of fries and no garnish? You may as well just put a sign up saying you don't care. I don't expect gourmet cooking, but I do expect a bit of pride. This isn't down to the individual pub, this is coming down from head office and head office is saying "we don't give a shit about the customer" Both Weatherspoons and Sizzler pubs are doing it better and could have gone to a Nando's for a similar price.

Visited for a staff Christmas party. All food had been preordered. Starters arrived half an hour after we were sat. We then waited an hour and a half for our mains. The usual responses were made- food will be out in two minutes etc- not even a hint of a plate of the pass. As soon as our food came out the kitchen turned the lights off. No check backs on either course. Some food had to be sent back due to the amount of grease present on the plate and many meals were left half eaten due to the lateness of our meal arriving. Ended up taking puddings home. Having been here multiple times under previous management I was very disappointed by tonight’s performance and won’t be coming back.

Booked here for our daughters 21st, a party of 18, we arrived at 7pm ordered at 7.30pm to be told there was a half hour wait. An hour and 20 mins later we started to get our food, Other customers arriving after us were served before us, this is disgusting, only apologised when we complained, avoid here at all costs, we won’t be back …………………….

Very easy to book a table online. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Ground floor and bar are very clean and tidy. Food was reasonably priced and good size portions.

Visited The Summerhouse for Sunday lunch - left feeling V. Happy & Full, went for the beef, lovely generous slices, homemade Yorkshire and crispy roast potatoes, good selection of vegetables and optional pigs in blankets. Will definitely be returning soon 👍👍

At our last visit we discovered Marstons have removed table service, the atmosphere was non existent and by 8.15 the restaurant empty and the bar was very quiet.. This is really not how we expect to see the Summerhouse. I ordered a lager shandy using the dreaded app and what turned up was a pint of ''neck oil'' lager in a glass more suitable for a 5 year old and it tasted absolutely disgusting.. Do Marstons not understand what they're doing to their restaurants with these ridiculous changes. The exact same thing has happened to the Stag and Hounds in Churchill. As things stand I won't be coming back and won't be recommending Marstons.. Whoever is in charge needs to realize they're making a big mistake..

Food was 8 out 10. But to order downstairs when upstairs was a pain. No greeting on arrival, nobody asked if our meals were OK. Most annoying was the fact there was nothing on the menu saying about offers, so consequently I got our drinks first, then 5 minutes later ordered our food only to be told I could have drinks on offer with our meals.( a bit flaming late) Not everyone has a smart phone to order via Q code. Not the usual pleasant experience we've had in the past.

We always have a good experience when we visit the Summerhouse, the food is excellent and the staff are always attentive and helpful. we look forward to our next visit soon.

We had booked a table for a family get together for 18 of us which actually turned out to be 19, but this was no trouble at all for the staff here. The atmosphere and staff were amazing and the food was excellent and delivered in a timely manner which is no mean feat considering there were 19 of us!! Thank you to all the staff at the Summerhouse for helping to make our family get together one to remember, we will definitely come back again in the future.

The atmosphere has completely changed from a vibrant place where you were greeted and shown to your table by a welcoming member of staff. Now, there is a board directing you to sit and order via QR code or go to the bar. It felt like a ghost town. The food was OK compared to what it has been. Chips were cold. Not sure I'd visit again, which is a shame as I've been eating here for many many years as it's lost its sparkle.

Food was good, service was good

From the start disorganized can’t keep up with orders that are being made. Food took forever to come out when asked where orders were as was a table of 12 people excuse after excuse. A three year old waiting an hour and half and Manager did not care. Orders that came out were wrong they tried giving food that another table refused due to the long wait. Not knowing I watched the other table refused and her carry the food around for 10 minute when refused this the waitress rolled her eyes. A special evening for a 18 and 20th Birthday was a disaster summer house should be ashamed of the service and train your staff with customer care as they have non of these skills. Don’t go your get your order a lot faster elsewhere and be spoken to with respect. I have done 1 star ⭐️ but not even worth that.

The Summerhouse is a great pub with a lovely atmosphere. We visited as a family, and all enjoyed the food. It was really easy to order food on the app (as well as at the bar) which made life easier with children !! The new manager Beth seems really lovely, and is a fab addition to the summerhouse!

Attended the veterans breakfast today, always a great morning, the food is always good and hot and valarie and Tracy are always there to lend a hand. Good to meet up with the other veterans and have a good chin wag. Going from strength to strength.

Tills were down across the whole chain. Staff were unhelpful, verging on rude. Having said that, a lad tried to help but did not have the knowledge/skills. We voted with our feet.

Nice place spoiled by cold food, shame as taste was good. Prices are high for what you get. Staff(the only one I saw) was amazing, seemed to be doing everything on her own, I hope she is paid well.

Always liked this pub restaurant with its nooks and crannies. Decent food too. Don't forget to register your registration plate when you park.

Terrible experience here, the pub doesn’t work with you or help you when their scummy parking measures get innocent people. Overstayed the parking by 5mins due to having a cerebral palsy child who was upset on the day. Was told they could do nothing to help. Received a parking letter a week later and now am being issued with a CCJ letter from Gladstones, a nasty solicitor company. AVOID THIS PLACE!!

Lovely food and very reasonable prices

I booked a table for nine persons online and was notified Via email the request was acknowledge, then a email confirming my booking. Arrived on time our table was ready. Service was quick the waiting staff were very polite and efficient. we did not have to wait long for our meals to be brought to the table. The food was hot and well presented. before leaving I booked on line for a Christmas lunch.

We booked a table for 5pm for Sunday carvery Nowhere in the menu does it state carvery finishes at 3. On arrival there was no mention that there was no carvery available it was only when we asked we were told it had finished in a sort of ‘you should know that’ manner. We left without eating
