Cabot Court Hotel - JD Wetherspoons in North Somerset

Have stayed here several times and unless there's a drastic down turn will continue to do so ,,,I like it !

Stayed here during their January sale period. It was lovely. The room was nice and clean, the service was great and the location was lovely enough, with the view from our window overlooking the sea and pier. The room we stayed in was fairly big, with plenty of seating options. The toilet was a comfortable size. Great deal. It had all the amdedities we needed also. Will definitely be staying here again.

Great for unlimited coffee and hot chocolate. Nice warm and welcome atmosphere . All for £1.56 unlimited

I was very impressed by the food and drinks. The chicken masala and Korean chicken were delicious and full of flavour. Everything was reasonably priced. The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Not been to spoons for a long while,great beer with prices that seemed from the 90's....the Cabot has always been a great pub and continues to be so.

Situated right on Weston's sea front with lovely views, it's a shame there is no parking available. but there is a ( paying) carpark about 100 yards away. We visited on a Sunday lunchtime. Wetherspoons Cabot Bar is open on 3 levels and was not very busy in any. We were on the second. We ordered via the App. All condiments were in containers on one table -help yourself. The meal and drinks arrived in good time, for 5 people, all correct. I had fish and chips with pint of Doom Bar included for £13.60. All meals were well cooked and value for money.

It's a huge Wetherspoons on the main esplanade of Weston, 2 minutes' walk from the centre of town. Always excellent value and usually quite busy.

Didn’t stay in a room but are here last week for 5 days. The service, food and cleanliness was outstanding. Every member of staff was happy, attentive and polite. The choice for vegans is excellent. Best Wetherspoon I’ve ever visited. Well done to the staff, very impressed

We booked a feature sea view room which was excellent recently decorated, a very comfortable bed and a shower which had great water pressure. The staff were all excellent never waited long for service in the pub which is also great plenty of seating available, would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Parking in Weston is expensive BUT if you turn right in front of the hotel and go first left you can park on street free after 6pm and at 8 am use the Parking app to book time without returning to the car OR continue uo the strret and go right there is FREE on street parking, saving £14 a night in the multistoreys.

Bad service, not many customers when I went in but still had to wait to be service.

Great food great value for money staff were lovely

Service bar side was good by one man, whilst others "floated", you know who you are, thank you. Food not too good. Shwarama was cold. 12 inches looked like 5 inches. Asked for warm dinner. It was microwaved. Hot salad is not nice. It was recooked and still poor. The Korean chicken was ok but I think they were running out of sauce, very dry. Manager also unprofessional. She belittled a colleague in front of customers. I had to say that I concurred with the member of staff because he did what the other customer asked. Might drink there again, but not eat!

Ordered food came out cold. I had a wrap came out cold and the chips same. Sent it back they microwaved It so warm salad it was disgusting. We have been to quite a few of these pubs the food here is the worst.

Lovely food Nice staff great views if you get near a window and there's a sunset going down. We arrived on a Halloween theme night and some of the costumes the staff wore were amazing. In particular one young lady with a white eye contact lense lol said it felt like she had a bean in her eye ha ha

Brilliant service and great meal

AVOID THIS PLACE .. if u have a disability this place could not be bothered to offer me reasonable adjustments. Ordered a meal which was really hot for my mouth it felt like it was on fire was not able to offer me any advise or support with this so left me out a meal 😡😡😡

Great food, great location, great prices, what's not to love!

The room was clean, extremely hot with no Aircon, just a little fan. The service was on point and the food was ok.

I would be doing myself a disservice if I didn't give this place 5 stars. The first pub I ever got drunk at, and still frequent it to this day from time to time. It's a Spoons, so you know what to expect price wise, but with this one in particular, it's in a great location, I've never known it to have too many trouble makers, and the service has always been good over the years. Can't really knock it.

we stayed there last sunday , it was fab, room / food/beer/ service all great , the manageress (i think ) was amazing at multi tasking like she said , one minuet she was checking me in too hotel the the next she was serving my budlight , great service

Awful, was asked to leave because we had a dog with us after we ordered a breakfast OUTSIDE the pub ! Disgraceful for tourist visiting the area with dogs, you can't use their facilities. This place will miss out on load s of trade

Has to be the cheapest place in the town for food & drink it is a Wetherspoons after all.Right near the "sea" front & a stones throw from the Pier.Very friendly,helpful staff 10/10.

The food was good but the service wasn't great I asked for my table to be cleaned and he sprayed a cloth twice then wiped the table and left it really sticky. The food came out at different times and they weren't able to pass the food to the correct table

On five floors usual food and drinks. Outside seating we sat on the top floor balcony and looking out to sea

Popped in for a drink today wish I never bothered the women in the yellow with the camera on behind the bar was the rudest woman ever? She shouted at me come down here then what do you want if that was a bloke I would of jumped over that bar and knocked him out. Dirty place vile tables not cleaned do not waste you time or money.

We did not stay in the hotel, just used the pub. It was the usual, great Wetherspoons quality with a nice service and good food. Really enjoyed it. The building is overlooking the beach and is very nice.

Cabot Court Hotel has to be my favourite Hotel/bar in Weston super mare. The Cabot, named after John Cabot, who sailed the seas in the wooden ship called the matthew back in 1497. He discovered newfoundland, or north america i believe. There is a replica of the Matthew docked in bristol, so you get to see how challenging this adventure was across the stormy seas. The pub is full of nautical memorabilia everywhere you look but when it's busy, its hard to see this so i went along early before the crowds arrived to capure the bar itself and it's grounds. Over the years, the Cabot has been able to give people a great location not only to stay but to enjoy food and drinks right on the seafront at weston. Its central location makes it a great place to stop by for a swift drink or to sit for a couple of hours on the balcony or in the beer garden to enjoy the Sun! Over the many years I have been visiting the Cabot, it has undergone many changes. Luckily though, it has kept all is key features and is in good condition. We like to visit early on a weekend for breakfast, there is a great spot in a little snug in the window, i think it's table 15. You have to get there early to enjoy that one. The only thing is, it seats two people. We also enjoy another window seat which i think is table 12, this one has more seats and a better view across the seafront. A great place to enjoy the food and a coffee first thing in the morning. So, let's sum up Cabot court hotel in weston super mare. I have to say i think it's an excellent place! Full of interesting things to look at. The bar is well stocked and the service is really good. The bar staff all work really hard and all seem to be polite and nice. The bar can get very busy being a spoons right on the seafront but you can use the wetherspoons app on your phone to order to your table and this works well. I hope you get to enjoy the Cabot aswell after reading this. It is a great place, that's for sure!

Breakfast was well cooked, quick service and helpful staff. The only negative point was it was taking a long time to empty tables as the staff would deliver the breakfast but go back empty handed when tables needed clearing for new arrivals.

You know what you are going to get with a Wetherspoons, and this is similar. Same cheap drinks and food menu as all the others. The only difference is this one is on 3 floors and in a great location near the sea. Plus, there are a few little alcoves where two people can sit and see the sea, lovely. The guy in the braces was very customer friendly and looked like he worked very hard.

Waited 30 mins for our drinks to come. I ordered our meals on the app the food came as planned but after 20 mins waiting for drinks we grabbed several staff and eventually they took a photo of my order and came back saying they hadn't received it and would be another 10 minutes. So by the time they came we had finished eating. Also it's not accessible for the disabled.

Came here yesterday 29th May 24 with my 2 grandchildren aged 6 and 7 and my daughter, we ordered 3 pates of cheesy chips and after waiting 50 minutes I spoke to a very unpleasant man who should have no dealings with the public in future, I asked him how long the chips would be as we had waited nearly an hour, he didn't respond apart from give me a very aggressive look as he brushed passed me very passive aggressive, other people at the bar noticed his rudness and commented on it, he barged into kitchen swearing, bought out 3 plates of cold chips with small amount of cheese scattered on top not even melted, I spoke to him on his absolute rudeness towards paying customers , he slammed the chips on the table swore in front of my grandchildren calling me an effin.stupid woman, to which I said you need to take a break, , he then stormed off swearing in front of a full pub calling me names , was told to take a break from his vo worker as he went storming off swearing , the man is very passive aggressive and a lot of people came up to us to ask if we were OK, the man concerned has a very aggressive attitude and gives off a feeling he doesn't like women, was left feeling very very uncomfortable as he was pacing the floor staring over, next table cancelled there order upon sering this, the barman in question was ginger, slightly bald with a ginger beard tied in a plait, I watched him being rude to a lot of customers there, this nan should not work at the front of the house, I will never come here again , swearing in front of two small children was bad enough, absolutely awful experience

Wonderful few days at Cabot Court Hotel in Weston Super Mare. Arrived to a very busy establishment and informed one of the Bar Staff we were booking in. We were immediately met by Jack the Hotel Manager who helped us in with our luggage - booked us in and gave us all the details we needed. He assured us he was always available if we needed him. All the Staff at this Wetherspoons Hotel were extremely friendly. It was a very busy Hotel and the wait for drinks - ordered on the app - to be delivered to the table was understandable. Tables were overflowing with glasses and crockery and it was difficult to find an empty clean table. We were impressed as we watched one of the waitresses, Paulina, constantly clear and also clean the tables as soon as they were vacated and left them clean for the next occupants. We had a lovely stay here and will return. Thanks to everyone at Cabot Court Hotel. We did have difficulty finding somewhere to park our car, but it's worth knowing that there is a secure car park just 5 minutes away in the Sovereign Shopping Centre and their charges are very reasonable at £10 for 24 hours.

Only stayed for food. Ordered on the app. Food was as expected for the price. It came out relatively quickly. The gripe I have is with the service. Our meals were almost thrown at us on the table. Plates slammed down in the middle. The attitude of the server was as if her job was an inconvenience. She was rude and surly. When we were walking out, the same server was walking through with food, she was snapping at people, rolling her eyes and again being rude. Her attitude ruined our lunch out.

The only gripe I have with this establishment is there is no signage for hotel guests. On arrival I went to bar to ask about check in and was told to wait ,as the bar was busy I waited over 15minutes maybe more . I was then taken out of the bar and round to the reception area in a different part of the building ... guest arrival would be so much easier and stress free if there was signage pointing to the actual reception round the side entrance.

Weatherspoons food and service is always great and good value for money. Always enjoy there food.

A great spoons, massive but great service and value.

The restaurant only - Lovely place overlooking the pier. Toilets particularly clean. Running at full capacity when I visited on a bank holiday weekend but still fully functional with quick and considerate service.

Nice venue, ideal close by location across from the beach. Watch the world go by. Good service, have to appreciate the staff as this place gets very busy. Nice beer garden and locals.

Nice pint of Doombar and Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Been coming here for years. Kitchen was awful today. Two out of three meals were incorrect third went cold as ‘waiter’ didn’t leave cutlery. Vegan breakfast wasn’t available. He was polite though & rectified problem.

Was staying in the Royal next door and wasn't paying £16 for breakfast there when you have a perfectly good breakfast for half the price in Spoons!!

Only had a meal. Partner's steak and kidney pudding was actually a pie but it was OK. I had steak, asked for medium but it came raw and bloody so I sent it back. Waitress questioned me and asked if I asked for it rare but took it anyway. It came back still the same, blood rare and was inedible for me. Really gristly as well. Absolute waste of money

Lively atmosphere, cheap drinks, seafront location. Great place for a night out. Can get busy at tea time so get in early to grab a table especially on a Friday or Saturday evening. Lovely views both inside and outside. Lots of levels and each floor has a different atmosphere, there is also plenty of outdoor seating both on the ground floor and on the balconies. Typical witherspoons with plenty of cheap drinks to choose from and competitivly priced meals. Open late and dance floor on top level open on certain evenings.
