Sultan's Kitchen in Northampton

Claims to be Mediterranean, Turkish & Italian when it is clearly solely Turkish. Tonight was our 38th wedding anniversary but it was like eating in somebody’s lounge with young children running around and a TV sat on the bar streaming the Euros whilst background music was still playing! No draught beer available despite illuminated pumps on the bar, so was served bottled beer. Our choice of wine was also not available. TBF the food served was very tasty but would certainly not recommend due to above issues and total lack of atmosphere.

This was my second visit and I can honestly say that the food was first class - and such a reasonable price! The Portobello Mushroom starter was huuuge, and the baked salmon extremely tasty.

This place is a gem. Great food, huge portions, reasonable prices. The food was so tasty. Specially Sheesh kebab with rice and salad. Also the Fresh Baklavas ❤️ Yummy We enjoyed our meals and time together there. Defenetly will be back.

I only rate them 2 for good hospitality service the layout of the place is strange with tables arranged in a big open hall, lime you are in a traditional wedding.they have good hospitality in general the food , however, was utterly disappointing .We ordered mixed grills and the food was pre cooked and just heated and served for us. There was no way it would have been freshly done. dried out and became plasticy after cooling down . The hummus tasted off and looked dark and old, like its been old and defrosted . We left genuinely disappointed and not going back again

The vibe was excellent. There kitchen was clean. Good space to sit. I loved their food. 10/10 will definitely recommend to everyone. The only thing I missed was the tea. Usually we get tea at the end of our meal at every Turkish restaurant. Please add that for your customers but other than it was perfect Alhumdulillah MashaALLAH.

We Went for a family meal on Saturday evening the entrance was crowded with smokers and cigarette ends everywhere. It certainly got worse from there very loud music inside so couldn’t hear each other speak and to top it all children were running around screaming and shouting and one even on a small trike, not really conducive for a meal out. We had children with us and even they were shocked. The staff didn’t seem to be bothered . Can’t rate the food as had a drink and left. To be fair the manager did apologize and said there wasn’t much he could do . Why are people so disrespectful to others surely a restaurant is for eating and a playground is for children to run and play in !!

We meant to try this ages ago when it first opened and popped in today (a Sunday) for something different, The welcome was warm, the menu is comprehensive and its excellent value. The owner has clearly spent a lot on the decoration creating a beautiful ambience, I hope it works out for them. I’ll certainly return,

This was my third visit, 1st & 3rd with a friend, 2nd with Husband & I'm booking party table for my birthday later this month. Food is always delicious & plentiful, staff are all friendly & attentive. On one visit they miss-heard the starter order, but sorted it promptly & we ended up with free food. The choices are amazing, love both Italian & Turkish so it's heaven for me! The place is large & leans towards larger groups but each time I've been with just 2 of us, they have sat us at nice tables & we haven't felt swamped by the parties at all. I'm looking forward to being one of those larger parties soon though! Can't recommend this place enough, is now my favourite restaurant in town.

Absolutely amazing place to eat! 10 of 10 for every single aspect of this meal and service! The food at Sultan's Kitchen is exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared and you can chose among many menu options. I love the service at the place and the chef and staff are so friendly with the guests and takes care to offer the best quality!Amazing family atmosphere, where on New Year's Eve the wonderful family of restaurant owners greeted the guests, found kind words for everyone and danced with us::)).Great atmosphere with really nice people.I highly recommend this place.I will come back here again and again.

Great food great service Just lovely place when you can enjoy your time with friends and family ….!

First visit, Saturday evening. + Nice food, large portions + Staff attentive - Cold (freezing evening to be fair, but was seated at table next to drafty window. Many of 30ish diners had coats on inside!) - Loud music (of the family disco variety) therefore difficult to converse, children were having a lovely eve. - Vacuumous area. - Bright lighting. Not ideal for couples meal out, reminiscent of being in holiday camp entertainment clubhouse. Sorry, not for me.

Six of us met up for dinner. Four of us got our meals quite promptly but the other two had to wait at least another 30 minutes for their food even though we did ask for the food to all come out together. Be careful if you have any specific dietary requirements! Dips came out with the bread and the waitress announced ‘all vegan’ , turns out one was a yoghurt and mint dip - don’t think she knows the difference between vegan and vegetarian! Could have been disastrous because one of us is dairy intolerant - so beware! Having said all that the food was really good - service not so good. Staff need more training.

Poor service for our group of 16. Food took over 2 hours to arrive. Small parties got served much faster. Some food was cold. Staff unsympathetic to our complaints. Staff knew we didn't drink (why else would none of us have ordered alcohol?), but offered free cheap fizzy wine as compensation for the poor service.

A friend recommended this Turkish restaurant that had only been open a few months. What I didn't realise how large and spacious the room was but it also had two other floors with a private function room and another room for a soon to be open champagne and wine bar! The menu also included a separate section for Italian food so a considerable choice. To start my wife had Hummus which she found tastier than shop bought and I had the Halloumi with chilli sauce also very good. For mains my wife had the Sultan's Chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce with mash and I had the Lamb Sarma Beyti ( I think that's how it was spelt )! Minced lamb in a Tortilla with cheese, tomato with yoghurt and rice. Both delicious. No room for dessert portions were generous. Tried the Greek wine which was actually ok. Will be taking friends there in a couple of weeks.

Beautiful settings, beautiful food and would definitely visit again. The customer service was top notch.

Went here last night for the first time - and it won’t be the last. The food was delicious with really generous portions. The restaurant is spacious and attractively decorated. We were served by friendly, efficient staff. This is a new Turkish restaurant with a very appealing menu, including plenty of tasty vegetarian dishes. The restaurant deserves to do well. We’ll be back.
