Got takeaway from here and I am honestly say it was the worst curry I’ve ever had. Zero flavour, overcooked chicken, overly sweet sauces, flavourless bread, and an onion side that was clearly just chopped onions thrown into yoghurt. Ended up throwing it in the bin it was so bad. Authentic Indian food this is not. Delivery man was lovely, only positive.

I think it's great. Really not sure why the ratings are so low. Very tasty food and reasonably priced. Also it's BYOB, which is a good cost saver.

Come here once a month a a few friends. The staff in here are quality, really friendly. Food is lovely. Atmosphere when were in there is great. See you soon

Some of the pickles were very watery, the chicken Jeera was dry and tasteless as was the Sag Aloo. Possibly one of the worst Indian meals I have ever had.

Lived in Bracknell since 1998 and can't remember when we first went there, but could be nearly 25 years ago. Over that time we have ordered at least 10-20 times each year. This is a common order when we have guests, both foreign and domestic. I have also traveled the world, even Leicester, Birmingham, and India itself. I can confidently say their Jalfrezi is mine and my daughters favorite. I read the other reviews, and they do have some good points, as I do not like the look of the mild dishes (korma, butter chicken, massala) - they look like kids finger paint. The delivery is a bit long, but we have gotten used to it, and if we need it quicker we can pick it up in 20 mins. For those that complain about the chips, cant help you - I would go to chippy (or McD) for those anyway. The pilau rice has gone through phases when they put in too much food colouring, but it always tasted good. It was back to a more natural look this weekend.

This is our local go to curry takeaway. The food is reasonably priced and of good quality. With one exception is has always arrived on time and warm. My wife is Bangladeshi and it’s her favourite local curry which is high praise in itself! Now we have tried other restaurants and takeaways for our curry fix but at this price point we haven’t found anyone to beat the Sultan yet. We will continue to be repeat customers.

Couldn't recognise my butter chicken ! Never seen a blood red butter chicken before ! Usually a creamy taste sweet and mildly spicy. This was bland and dull, with too much colouring , would never believe it was any kind of curry. I couldn’t even force myself to eat it. Called to say I would be returning it for a refund, which I have never done before. Battled backward and forward with the man I spoke to on the phone when I got there. Would not recommend !!

The worst customer service you could ever imagine. Placed an order for delivery and allowed an hour and a half before calling to find out where it was. Advised it would be 10 minutes. 15 minutes later phoned them again to enquire if the delivery would be close to be advised it would be another 10 to 15 minutes. This happened again, and again. Evidence of this on my phone and when I phoned the owner could not be bothered or care. Order cancelled. Do not touch. Terrible and disgusting people.

We ordered here for a change. The food turned up like warm, the chips were really cold and some pieces of the chicken was under cooked and could not eat. It was the worst curry we have had. We will not be ordering from here again.

Sultan Balti House is our go to restaurant for the best value and best tasting Indian take away in Bracknell. We have been ordering and enjoying their food for at least 2 decades. A great selection of dishes and very friendly and polite delivery service. Nice to know that we can order food of a consistent high quality.

My wife and I always get a take away from this restaurant, having tried other curry houses in the area not to mention all the food we’ve eaten on our travels and living abroad. It’s good value for money, does quote longer delivery times but often arrives earlier and the food is consistently of a good quality. As regular customers, we would recommend this restaurant and often get it when friends come. We often have tikka masala, madras, keema naan, rice and chips.

My partner and I ordered a delivery take away at 6:30pm tonight (Friday 27th March). Online the delivery time says 45 minutes. We paid online via card. When the confirmation email came through it said delivery time was 1 hour 15 minutes. Considering we ordered 2 curry dishes and 2 portions of rice we didn’t think much of the cooking and delivery time as it was not a big order. At 8pm, after waiting an hour and a half I called up to see if the order had left to which the man said it was leaving there and then, and would be 10 minutes - we was fine with that. At 8:20pm the food had still not been delivered so I called again to which the man said the food had left and was with the driver and he would call the driver to tell him we were priority and it should be no longer than 10 minutes. 8:45pm no food delivered. Called up again and a different man answered immediately shouted down the phone (he must have known it was my number) “your food will be 25 minutes” so I responded with “are you joking the other man told me the food had left” he said “your food is not ready it will be 25 minutes”. I said no thank you I would like a refund. He continued to shout at me originally refusing refund. He has now said he will refund my partners card when he can.... let’s wait and see what happens. I would NOT RECOMMEND at all!!!!

Shocking delivery waited 2 and a half hours for our take away ordered Pepsi get given pepsi max which neither of us like shame as food usually good will try a competitor next time

Under £30 for a two course dinner with soft drinks for two people. Food was alright. The big hall was perfectly decorated. It was quiet on the weekday evening.

They get your order wrong then won’t refund you, they still owe me money, will never use them again, shame after ordering from them for over 12 years they treat you like this

Had not been to this restaurant for over 15 years when we visited on Friday evening. Very impressed with the restaurant area, decor - seating - lighting, and the staff were very friendly and very efficient. Easy background Indian music did not interfere with the conversation. We enjoyed the poppadoms and pickles so much, we had double helpings of everything, before we settled down to the main meals. We both had Roghan selections with different rice sides, and shared Saag Aloo. The food was so well presented and served suitably hot, that we were disappointed not to manage to eat it all, so the staff kindly offered us the option to take leftovers home - which we were delighted to accept. We will certainly be visiting again soon. Only two minor reservations, that could easily be improved on. The deserts are all from a "bought-in" range of various attractive looking ice-creams, which some restaurants do rather than prepare their own. Both of these were so deeply frozen that there was some serious ice frosting on top of the very solid ice-creams. We waited for them to defrost sufficiently to be able to spoon into them, but then found them to be lacking in taste and texture. We would respectfully suggest that this restaurant could provide a better desert by spooning out 3 balls of good quality ice-cream for the same price, and they would probably make more profit on it too. The other niggle, again easy to improve, is that the decor in the ladies' room could be much improved. Although scrupulously clean and tidy, it does not match the excellent decor of the restaurant dining room, and would be improved at the very least by better lighting, painting the water pipes and the introduction of some pot-pourri. Anyway, we are looking forward to a return visit. Thank you for a very pleasant evening.

We have eaten in here a few times and the food is always top notch, this time we chose to have a romantic evening with a set meal for two offer, the food was delivered swiftly and was hot,tasty and with large portions.

First time trying Sultan, decided to order from here based on good reviews.I can honestly say the pleasant delivery driver was the only thing I can say was good.The naan bread selection we ordered were soggy and undercooked and as for the curry, they lacked flavour, authenticity and were literally a watery mess.Chicken Madras tasted more like a Mexican salsa dish.Won’t be ordering again....

The buffet had some delicious curries for the family to eat and i loved the korma and pappadams, spring rolls were amazing and i loved pilau rice and bombay potatoes too. Naan brad was tasty. The waiter was briliant. What a lovely lovely time we had. The place looks lovely too. Tables and chairs were nicely done. I'd say its a first class experience and had mints afterwards. Fantastic. Too full for pudding but some family members loved pudding and ice cream looked great.Thanks so much.

Had a takeaway Saturday night (30.3.19) butter chicken was as red as a pillar box, chicken roghan again was very red and had pineapple in it tasted more like sweet n sour, chicken tikka masala again really bright red all sauces were very runny, probably one of the worst curries I’ve had, shame as it’s close to me.

The food is always very fresh, staff super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a takeaway from this restaurant and it was just frankly awful. The food was cold and the naan cold and soggy. One of our curries had no taste and had barely any chicken. The other curry was a tikka masala and tasted like tomato soup. I would not recommend you eat here.

Ordered from here for the first and very last time this evening. Karma naan had no meat whatsoever inside, just a tomato based paste. The lamb Rogan josh tasted of sweet and sour which I would expect from a Chinese restaurant. Customer Service told me that is what I should expect from both dishes. Absolutely disgusted with both food and customer service. Avoid at all costs.

Disappointing is not the word! Sorry to say - disgusting!! Threw away far more than got eaten. Not a patch on our usual choice of Kabirs. And incredibly actually quite expensive.

When ordering a take-away from here We has a shocking experience. The food was 45 mins late and when it finally arrived it was cold and some of the order was missing.

Theres a new guy working here (new being in the last year), and he is very helpful, proactive and offers great service. The food here is brilliant, and you always know there is good quality. It is quite expensive in comparison to other indians in the area, but its not something that should shy you away.

We've been using this restaurant for takeaways and eating meals in since 1994 and on the whole have been satisfied with the service and experience we've received. We arrived last night to an empty restaurant and were told that they no longer served alcohol but were happy for us to bring our own. As the off licence was open opposite we were going to buy some wine and beer and go back until we were told that 10% would be added to the bill. This probably wouldn't have been that much but it was the principle of the matter so we left.

Bland and bland again.. never again... second time here and both times been disappointed.. and what’s with the no alcohol??? Don’t bother even looking at he menu... save your money

I have been using the Sultan House for more years than I can remember, and always had excellent quality food and service.

We visited this restaurant to eat on the way home from a family day out and the food was very good, the waiter couldn’t do enough to help and was very pleasant, It’s not expensive and the portion sizes are quite large. Thank you very much for such a lovely meal.

Went to Sultan Balti House last night, and though the food was lovely, I ws disppointed overall.

My wife and I decided to try the Sultan - Big mistake! I ordered a lamb balti, rice and naan. Let's start with the naan.... unleavened it say... it didn't mention uncooked. Well that maybe a bit harsh, one end was the rest was dough. The balti itself - bland to say the least. It tasted like a stew my mum used to make from the leftovers back in the day, only boiled up in dirty dishwasher with a lemon thrown in try and disguise the soapy taste. All sorts of weird things thrown in, definitely unique, well I hope it was and not their normal offerings. I won't go into my wife's meal.. suffice to say half way through she held a specimen of something she found buried in her meal, we dissected it but still no idea what it was. Even the dog wasn't interested. Shame as ate there a few years ago on 2 occasions and couldn't fault it. Sorry only one star and that was for the free delivery

After having a bad meal last time we thought we would try it again and found that this time things still haven't changed food cold also ask for a 9.30 delivery which arrived at 10.02 phoned up twice and got told food on way will be 5 mins.

Table of 8 booked in. Quick service. Fresh food constantly coming out as we chose the all inclusive option. Good job guys. Lamb was very good.

As usual, the food was excellent, tasty and very enjoyable. However, there seems to have been a change of staff at front of house, and the change is not for the better. The service was a bit slow, our drinks order was not correct. We dined early, so it was not too busy when we arrived, but it was considerably busier as we finished (but still several available tables), this shouldn't have caused any service issues, but it did. Let's hope the service improves, otherwise I will have to consider going elsewhere for an Indian.

Me and my partner have been coming her for a few years. The food has always been great and they were very accommodating to allergies. The service here can either be very good and you feel very welcome or you can feel uneasy through out with staff seeming rude. The food is very good and I was very happy they took my allergies into consideration and made sure I knew what I could order and what they could change for me. Sometimes if you order a fizzy drink such as coke it can be flat as they buy bottles and I guess if they don't use it all it stays for a while and gets flat, this was very disappointing as I had like warm flat coke. I would definitely recommend for the food and the place looks very nice and they do a very nice Sunday buffet. The place may not look like much from outside but is very nice inside.

We ate at this restaurant recently for a belated Christmas family gathering and from the moment we arrived it was disappointing. As a party of 10 we were expected to be on a long table or large round however this was not the case. Two small round tables had been pushed together meaning two of the guests (the hosts in fact) were each sat rather awkwardly - next to each other but on separate tables with their backs partially to each other. Putting this aside and having waited for our drinks order to be taken, we then had another long wait before the drinks arrived by which time other members of our party were ready to order a second drink (that's how long it took!). This pattern continued to the point where I ordered a G&T which arrived with flat, tasteless tonic and service was so slow I couldn't bring myself to ask for another.Food service was also quite slow although the restaurant was quite busy so not necessarily an issue. The food that did make it to our the table (a main meal and a side dish were missed off completely) was enjoyable. Not the best Indian food I've had but not the worst either. It was reasonably hot and flavoursome. The final issue was the bill. The printer had broken and we had to check our bill by standing at the bar checking the computer. We wanted a receipt but had to settle for an amount scribbled on a piece of paper. To summarise, if you're looking for a restaurant with a high standard of service, this is not the place - it will wind you up and potentially spoil your evening. If, on the other hand, all your looking for is some reasonable food after a few drinks in the pub, and don't mind the slow service, than you could do worse.

Have used the Sultan Balti House for over 25 years and always had excellent meals, both eating in and as a takeaway or being delivered. Good size portions and full of flavour. Last night though I was with the level of service. Arrived at 5.40pm and were the first to arrive. Noticed the staff had changed and this became very apparent when the personal service was not up to it usual standard. We are normally asked if we want our coats to be hung up, on this occasion I had to hang them up myself. Not all the placing were ready and I had to ask for another setting. The plain poppadoms were not evenly cooked, with some areas uncooked. The main courses of Chicken Malaya, Chicken Phall and Chicken Korma along with onion Bhaji, plain nann, plain rice and pilau rice arrived in good time and was to it's usual excellent standard. When it came to the desert I asked if they had Kulfi ice cream. The waiter didn't seem to know what I was asking for and presented me with a list of pricy extravagant deserts. I declined this offer and asked for the bill. We received the bill quickly, by which time 3 more covers had arrived. After waiting for 10 minutes for someone to collect the payment I decided to get our coats and take the bill to the reception area and make the payment. In previous times, someone has been at the door to bid farewell, again this did not happen, until we were half way out the door. Maybe we have been spoilt in the pass, or it could be because there was new staff there, but the personal service which we go for just wasn't there.

We used to be quite regulars at this restaurant for a long time, but soon noticed a significant drop in service, staff and the quality of food so started going to another curry houseThe change over in staff has been awful. Main focus for them is just takeawaysWalked into the restaurant on Wednesday and after been ignored for 10 mins, and then waiting 15 mins for our wine we walked out. Nobody even questioned why???It's such a shame, but unless this significantly change I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone

So myself & my two children thought we'd try this restaurant. We are keen curry eaters & like to try new places. However, the waiter didn't seem very happy to have our custom, he was really quite rude & abrupt. He rushed us to a table, came back 10mins later to ask what drinks we wanted. (There was very little beer in stock) He rushed us through our meal until the end, even though there was nobody else in the restaurant??? Then 3 gentlemen arrived to eat, to whom he could not have been more pleasant!! Then another man, he was nice as pie. Perhaps he just doesn't like women?! That's certainly how it felt. Not a pleasant experience in that sense, however, the food was pretty good.

Went with family to the Sunday buffet here and I have to say it was excellent value. The food is not the best I have ever eaten in an Indian, but not the worst either.The popadoms were fabulous. The choice of dishes is not vast but were perfectly edible. The buffet was kept well topped up so couldn't fault it in that way.They should advertise the Sunday buffet as at £7.95 an adult it represents excellent value.

did not eat in the restaurant , had a takeaway , so last night thought we would have a curry , we always go to 1 in crowthorne which is fab ,but thought we would have a takeaway and try the sultan as we had a leaflet through the door in the week , I remember eating in here when it first opened many years ago and it was nice so thought why not !!! well firstly I only live 1 to 2 minutes drive in the car and when it arrived it was luke warm , the tikka was ok the dansac was tasteless ,the garlic naan was inedible so much uncooked garlic it made me feel sick, so al in all I won't waste my money again

This was our first visit to the Sultan Balti House. We went with a friend for his birthday as it was local and we all like a curry. Service was fine, although trying to remember a long order is not easy ;-) and the poppadoms seemed to go astray but came instantly when reminded.We had a mixture of dishes, fairly standard fare. Chicken Tikka Balti was nice enough, Lamb Khatta Masala was OK and the Jalfrezi with its four chilli rating was nice enough but could have packed a bigger punch imho. Garlic & Peshwari Naans were fine, not a fan of rice with green coloured bits. The rioja we had was very nice though and very reasonably priced as was the whole meal really.

Just returned from another disappointing trip to the Sultan Balti. We have been going to this Indian restaurant, at least once a month, for years and years and years and have sadly seen it go down-hill. The food is still amazing, as long as they get your order right, the staff are still attentive, if you can catch their eye, but the decor and maintenance of the building has been somewhat neglected. Tonight, my retired mother got stuck in the toilets as the door handle had fallen off the inside of the door so she couldn't get out!!! She really hurt her arthritic hands trying to escape before being heard by a member of staff that happened to be passing by the door that she was banging on. The hygiene/cleanliness of the toilets also has lot to be desired. This has been brought to the staffs attention before on a previous visit but clearly nothing has been done. Just don't look behind the toilet units or around the edges or on the floor in general. Sadly I think we will look for alternatives before returning again

My boyfriend and I visited here on Easter Sunday, but called ahead because we were unsure if they would be open. We hadn't been here before and were slightly apprehensive when we went into a deserted restaurant. We ordered our drinks and they were brought promptly, despite a couple of stocking issues.We ordered the Lamb Chilli Masala and a Lamb Spinach Balti and both were really delicious with the usual sides of pilau rice, meat samosas and garlic naan bread. Portions were a good size for the price-tag and the lamb in both dishes really were meltingly tender. We will definitely return here, we left feeling satisfied with the food and value for money; we had a main dish each, 2 rice, naan and meat samosas and both ordered an alcoholic drink and paid little over £30. Can't beat it! The only consideration I would add is that my boyfriend said the toilets were a little run down and would benefit from a re-vamp.

Visited last Friday (19th). Booked a table for 2 and was shown to a wonderful intimate table . Was pleased to see Jaheed on duty. We know it will be an excellent experience when he's around. Ordered poppadoms and beers which arrived in no time. One small disappointment when we visit is the pickle tray. Chopped onion is the only solid item in the pickle tray. the other 3 offerings are liquid mango chutney, yogurt raita, and some red nondescript red liquid. Where's the pickle(s)?Jaheed was very busy, but always made time for his regulars,Wine is great value at £8.95 for the house red or white. Food arrived as expected, but I had ordered chilli lamb massala. Chicke arrived. Jaheed had the perfect solution. He said tuck in to the chicken and he would fasttrack a lamb version, so I didn't have to wait for the replacement. We are relatively regular visitors here. Just a very few errors, which were corrected immediately.You don't get better than this.Thank you to all the staff who are very friendly and efficient. We always enjoy our visits, and are always treated well.

I have used this restaurant many times over the years and it rarely disappoints. The food is fresh, well cooked and tasty. The prices are good too.

Popped in for a meal Friday in mid January. We had not been before so we checked the reviews out and thought we would give it a go. Service was excellent, very polite and friendly staff. We ordered a mushroom rice, a lamb vCurry and a chicken dish that had no sauce Food good although it could have done with a bit more spice and I'm not always a fan of very spicy food! The chicken tasted weird, probably just a poor bit of chicken so that was a shame.Good value for food and drinks. Will come back but going to try takeaway next time and see what's like.

Came here with a couple of people from work on a weekday evening. Atmosphere was incredibly quiet & there was no music playing. Our waiter was really lovely. Food was served quickly. Had many different dishes, all were nice but were all slightly bland. You get what you pay for!

We arrived at this restaurant for a Sunday Buffet meal to find the restaurant is trying out an afternoon curry dance, with music supplied by a Dj. Right up our street as the music, is a mixture of Rock n' Roll, Jive, Latin Tango. The music meant we could eat then work off the calories. Dancing aside this is our second visit to the restaurant. The buffet is excellent with enough fresh hot food to keep you going. So. if you are into dancing keep an eye on the restaurant website and/or Facebook page for an afternoon of eating followed up by a few dances.

Thought we'd try this Indian as we were in the area and reviews were promising. We were seated quickly and drinks served. The restaurant was busy and most tables filled whilst we were there. A large hen party was already seated. We ordered our food, starters and main and were asked if we wanted out starter served with our main. Slightly odd?? The starter came out after a short wait and was ok, but poorly presented and lacked any condiments and flavour. We then waited 45 mins for our main course. At one point none of the tables had any food apart from popadoms. Eventually our main arrived, it was ok but much blander than expected and my husband was sure the nann bread was shop bought!! Not really worth the wait! The Hen Party must've been starving, they were just being served as we leaving!!

Always enjoy the food from this restaurant as a delivered takeaway. Today the meal arrived within 30 minutes was hot and full of flavour. We shared the tandoori mixed grill and chicken tikka biryani and had lots left over. No need to try anywhere else Sultan always satisfy.

Although this restaurant is not placed in the best of areas don't be put off. What we ordered was very tasty and delivered to a high quality. The menu was quite extensive and reasonably priced. I would certainly eat here again

We have just moved to a new area and were too tired to cook anything, so browsed for nearby restaurants and ended up with this one.Honestly saying- Being Indians ourselves-we were quite sceptical and didn't have too high hopes to have an authentic curry in this area but were pleasantly surprised.Since we are vegetarians- they didn't have elaborate options but it still worked.We ordered- Mirch Aloo and Balti Paneer, Mirch aloo had full marks- was really tasty and spiced well, whereas the other one was okay.We also ordered Aloo tikki for starters which was a total waste. Didnt like it atall.But my review is just based on the mirch aloo sabzi,The order was prompt and delivery was quicker than anticipated.

Food is always 5* quick delivery, and also eaten in the restaurant with family a few times. Best Indian in Bracknell and very reasonably priced.

This was another family outing for father's day as my dad seems to have acquired a taste for Indian cuisine. What struck me is that once you are inside it is quite a large restaurant with plenty of tables. Being a Sunday it is a buffet launch with a good range of dishes. Every portion I had from Chicken Tikka, the lamb dishes, Potatoes and chick pea dishes alongside the staples such as popadoms and nan bread. The food was not over spiced, was freshly cooked and it had tremendous flavour. As I have said before there can be quite a few differences in the way an Indian restaurant cooks and serves a specific dish. As I had a tried nearly everything on display I will finish by saying good tasty food and served just right. I might have to call in again when I'm back in Bracknell.

Haven't used the Sultan Balti for a few years due to house move and being away. Ordered our old usual tonight Tandoori mixed grill and Chicken Tikka Biryani with Keema Nan. As good as ever even more meat in the Biryani. We will definitely be back.

the staff are all very friendly and make you feel most welcome , nothing was or is too much for them . the food is excellent and always quality . they carry a large range of drinks so can cater for everyone from soft drinks right the way through to quality wines . would definatley recommend this restaurant as five star

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, food is absolutely amazing, price is really cheap and the staff are absolutely lovely! I actually (unfortunately) live in Reading and rate this restaurant so highly, I travel here to collect food as a take away...the twenty minute drive is more than worth it! The only 1, very small, negative note I would make is the location of the restaurant isn't ideal however once you are inside you are able to easily forget about the surrounding outside !!! Regardless of this one small comment, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and give it a 10/10 !

I have been using this restaurant for twenty years and feel it's hey day, like mine, was in the last century. However, the restaurant is welcoming, service prompt, atmosphere pleasant and prices are reasonable. Chicken Tikka masala and chicken biriani were had on this occasion and whilst ok don't think they'd get a mention in a highly respected restaurant review.Is it time to remove the Egon Ronay plague?

This part of Bracknell is not the prettiest but once inside this restaurant you are in a different world. The venue and food is high quality, the service is very friendly and helpful. What made us feel even better was there was no service charge included. The prices were so reasonable and the service was so good, we were very happy to give a generous tip but then they gave us two complimentary brandy's in appreciation. They seem to have awards from everywhere including Trip advisor, they also have top ratings for cleanliness and an award from the highly acclaimed 'Egon Ronay'. They have apparently had the same chef for 22 years and a reliable clientele that love his food. The restaurant is also designed for functions with a very nice marble style floor and booths around the edge for dinner and dance nights. Apparently they have a big event every year on New Years eve. We've only been there the once but were so pleasantly surprised, I thought we would share this, as I think this restaurant would appeal to a lot of people who would never venture in to this area without knowing about it.

Having relocated to the area over 2 Years ago,I must say that the staff are the most friendliest people ever! The make you feel welcome, and look after every single customer- providing exceptional service. Food is fresh, and they cater for all. Must try for all!

Have had a takeaway quite a few times & the food has been good, but tonight has been the worst time, it took an hour to arrive then it was cold, not a very happy customer & I'm thinking of finding another Indian restaurant!!!!

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff who recognise us every time, the best Indian food you could ask for. Perfect! Suits any occasion, casual dinner with friends or romantic candlelit dinner for two. One of my favourite restaurants to visit.

I've been to this restaurant many times, and I can also recommend their takeaway service. Most recently we went for a sit down meal on a Friday evening - two adults and four teenagers. The meal cost around £85.00 which is amazing value, considering the kids pretty much have adult sized appetites! One of the kids doesn't like Indian food, so had roast chicken & chips which was given a definite thumbs up. Excellent service, attentive without hovering over you all the time.

I have taken friends and family to this restaurant for years. Always excellent service and excellent food. They look after us when we are a couple or when we are a large group. Can't recommend it enough! :D

Don't know where all the negative reviewers have been eating but it certainly isn't at the Sultan Balti House in Bracknell!!!We have been eating in and taking away from here for 17 years and have NEVER had a greasy or burnt poppadom or a mushy Jalfrezi nor is it overpriced in comparison to any other Indian restaurant I've ever been in. Staff are, and always have been polite and friendly and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!!

Me and my family go here often, so the staff know us well. The food is a little pricey but the staff make up for this! They are all true gentlemen, opening doors, checking you are okay (without crossing the line of being annoying) and just make visits so pleasant. Would recommend this place to everybody!!!!

Meals are typical, personnel is more than friendly. You do not loose to much time waiting from one course to the next. What I cas say is that the place is "tiny", at least the part I saw , Not ideal for large group (10 and above)

Had many take always from here over the past 6 years and every time the food is excellent and service fantastic. Food is more traditional Indian full of spices and flavours...none of the day-glow food colouring offerings from other Bracknell Indian restaurants...Favourites are the jalfrezi and tikka.

We went here for my bday party out last Week. We were quite a big table (17), they got our orders out well, the starters and main courses were absolutely lovely, probably one of the best curry I've had in Bracknell. The service was excellent, had a really great evening. Big thank you to sultan Balti house for giving me a great bday night

Still enjoy visiting here as much as we did 20 years ago. The staff are fantastic, always helpful, creating an enjoyable experience every time. Food is delicious, much better value for money than some of its competitors.

The food, service & decor in this restaurant are lovely for the price. The papadams, whilst not complimentary, are worth ordering as they were deliciously fresh and clearly cooked to order. The mains we ordered were not over-spiced (we didn't ask for hot, the bombay aloo was very mild) but were deliciously flavoursome. The chicken was lovely and moist. The rice was a little drier than I would normally like, but the naan bread was perfectly cooked, with largely fluffy air pockets.The tablecloth was actual linen! The decor was red, but modern and seemed well-looked after. The service was friendly, unobtrusive. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We eat here about once a month.Buffet on Sunday lunchtime is excellent value.Poppadoms, 5 or 6 mixed starters, 3 Curries, 2 rice, Naan, Veg dishes, Salad and Sauces.All well cooked and served hot, with dishes often only done fresh as customers arrive.We were the only people there again, which I can't understand, and service was again very friendly and personal.A bargain for a treat.Have also eaten here on other days and never had a bad dish and all is perfect however many are in the party.Long may it continue.

I visited Sultan Balti House with my family including my rather fussy mother! We all enjoyed a delicious meal that was great value for money. The staff all made us feel welcome and made sure we were well looked after. We can't wait to go back.

Been coming to this restaurant for years to eat in and takeaway. Then menu is good and most dishes are priced well. The food is very good and the service friendly.

We tried the selection of dishes on offer ranging from the chicken tandoori starters to the chicken balti, chicken korma, lamb balti, potato curry, chickpea curry. We were most impressed with the korma - it had hint of peach in its sauce. Lovely. And unique AFAIK. My favourite was the lamb balti, done just right; lamb was slow cooked so it melted in the mouth. sauce was just spicy enough to give it a kick. A delightful find and well worth going for the Buffet lunch.

This has to be the worst chicken jalfrezi we have ever eaten. It was extremely bland, spice and tomatoes only - my 4yr old could have made better. The fish and veg pakora was good, but the overall price was a disgrace considering to poor quality of the curry
