Great food and authentic, love the decoy and atmosphere, my family love king prawn satay dishes, we will be certainly back, thank you.

The service was impeccable, very quick, everything out immediately and cleared immediately. my only issue was the dish i ordered which was the som tum salad which i was not a fan of. Other than that an amazing place for a great thai night out!

Visited early evening and the restaurant was busy. Service quick and polite. I had the chicken toast to start and a Thai green curry - both really nice. Prices reasonable for what we got. Would happily go back next time we're in Leeds.

We booked a table of 4 for 7:30pm on Valentine’s Day! When we arrived there was a massive build up of people at the entrance making it all crammed and uncomfortable. We got told that our name wasn’t on the booking system even though we had proof of our booking for that date and time. Then we had to wait 25 minutes for a table to finally be free, other people around us also said they booked a table for 7:30 and also was sat around waiting for 20-25 minutes. Once we were sat, we were waiting around 15 minutes to get our orders taken, (we got told that we could order food off the set meal and the actual main menu but when we got there we got forced to just order the set meals which was a big disappointment as some of us were allergic to certain meals) Once we got our order taken, we waited 1hr and 30mins for our starters to arrive, they arrived cold. Then we waited another hour for our mains to arrive, then another 30-40 minutes for our desserts to arrive too, which the desserts were a complete disappointment. We arrived at 7:30 and left around 10:15pm, many people around us also complained about the wait time and how unorganised everything was. Will not be coming again. Completely disappointing as I have been here before and it was amazing. Would not come here ever again.

I visited sukothai in Leeds and I have to say this is my new favourite place. Firstly the decor when you walk in is warm and inviting and very traditional, the staff are authentic and friendly. Service was brilliant and food was brought to the table in a timely manner, now to the food....amazing!! The presentation, the flavours and smells are just fantastic. They are good sized portions and very filling, I honestly wasn't expecting to love this place as much as I do and I will most definitely be back. Only thing to be careful about is the parking outside cos we got a ticket but that's nothing to do with the restaurant, can't fault this place at all, well done sukothai, you made this an extremely pleasant experience and have a customer for life now

The food is so good!! Tastes exactly like food in Thailand (I’m Thai so I would know haha!) but yeah overall the service was amazing and the staff are so kind and welcoming.

The menu is really huge, which was off-putting and nearly stopped me booking. However, I'm glad I did... we all had great meals! We were seated next to the kitchen, so all the food prep was clearly on show. We were a large group and chose many things to share (which I'd recommend). Service was great... and I can also mirror the previously mentioned recommendation of trying the Roaring Ribeye... it was excellent! Based on our evening I'd recommend this restaurant for sure... we had no complaints at all.

Great food great service will be going again, booked for 7.30 on Saturday night but already very busy.. so book early and enjoy

Love the food in this restaurant. May be a little bit more expensive than other Thai restaurants, but paying that bit more is really well worth it. This time we ordered from the a la carte menu rather than the banquet and we enjoyed it more. But each to their own. Lovely restaurant, highly recommended.

Ate here this evening purely on trip advisor recommendation. Unfortunately we were disappointed, drinks came quick, we'd ordered a tiger beer each and a bottle of wine, we had only just started our lagers when the waiter wanted to pour our wine, had to ask him to leave it until we'd finished our first drinks. Had the sharing platter to starter which was nice but nothing special. Then we ordered the whole sea bass this was very good and the weeping tiger, which we asked for medium rare it was awful, chewy fatty steak and too much liquid on the sizzling plate so it was over cooked as it was steaming in too much liquid, was a let down. We have had weeping tiger before and its usually seared with dipping sauce on the side. We weren't charged for this. Unlikely we would return though

Siddesh provided amazing service, with great recommendations and created a lovely atmosphere

It was the first time we visited here and we will definitely be going back. Lovely attentive staff. Lots of dishes to choose from. The food was amazing. We all enjoyed what we had chosen. The location is only a 5 minute walk from the train station and near lots of bars.

I would recommend the weeping tiger and my Dad had the roaring riebye and he said that it was one of the best steaks he had ever had.

We absolutely LOVE this restaurant! I live down South, but anytime I am up North I make a point of visiting. Every single time we have visited has been absolutely perfect, and in my opinion the food is the best Thai food around, and that is comparing to a few popular London Thai restaurants! The service is equally always absolutely wonderful, the staff are so friendly, attentive and so welcoming, they make us feel like we are weekly regulars. Last but not least we love the ambiance of the restaurant too! Honestly, a well deserved 5+ across the board from us! Thank you!

The food was good but towards the end of our meal all waiting staff seemed to disappear, we couldn't see anyone around or on the bar to ask for the bill. This lasted around 10 minutes which doesn't sound like a long time but the restaurant was quiet so you'd think the staff would be more available. I'm also completely baffled that the barstaff added service charge on my one mocktail that I ordered and paid for before the meal. Is this standard practice to add service charge to one drink? I think it's appalling. I wasn't even given a bill to show that the service charge had been added. A drink that should have been £4.95 became £5.45. I recommend anyone who goes to check what you're being charged at the bar. There are better Thai restaurants in city centre that don't charge for extras like rice, and do better food.

This is the first time we went to Sukhothai, and it turned out to be a refreshingly good experience. The food turned up quick and was full of flavour. The service inspite of being a busy time was perfect.

Beautiful authentic food, great helpful and friendly staff

Just had our team Christmas meal, and it was great from start to finish. Josh - who seemed to be our main host - was so attentive and pleasant, funny and had charisma that was really welcome! The food was spot on and the service was great. Desserts took a little while to come in comparison to the rest, but Josh was quick to explain this. All leftovers packed away for takeout. Will definitely be back!

Thai is not my first choice but this place was recommended. I spent ages perusing the menu on line to find something I could eat (I don’t like spicy food) We had a table booked for 2pm and were kept waiting. Drinks service was quick and taking our order was quick. The dumpling starter I had was nice, and I had chosen the spare ribs for a main course as they had no chillies next to them and the sauce was described as barbecue. I had two bites and had to abandon them as they were so spicy. Our friend offered to swap so I had his meal which was totally tasteless. I found the food very overpriced, though the service was good and the staff very friendly. Would not eat here again

Visited Sukhothai last night – I’d heard this place was very popular so thought I’d give it a go instead of my usual, Chaophraya. Booked ahead, which turned out to be the thing to do as the place was packed – very popular with several large groups in. Restaurant is large, with interesting décor (wooden statues, art etc) and service was, for such a busy place, excellent. Drinks and food all arrived in good time and as ordered. Well done. The bigger groups were kept away from smaller groups of diners, which is a definite positive, as nobody wants to sit near a large group. Menu is massive. Hard to choose. Look online first to get an idea of what interests you. Chef Specials sound tasty. Deerdog recommends the items marked with four small chillies. Opted for the soft-shelled crab to start (love a bit of crab), with chicken Pad Ga Prao as a main. Pad Ga Prao was gorgeous – full of spice and with a fried egg sitting proudly on top, like a conquering hero. The chicken was minced, as it should be. A beautiful dish. The soft-shelled crab I didn’t like as much – it was tasty, but I think it works better with a tempura batter and a bit more sauce. Traditional batter tends to overpower the delicate flavour of the crab. I think I’d try a different starter next time – I spotted minced chicken on toast, which is always moreish. Dessert was chocolate cake. Cake is always excellent. The beer for the evening was Singha – as it was and as it should be with this sort of meal. Singha for the people. Bottles though, not pints on this occasion. Overall a decent night and a good option for a lively Thai meal in Leeds.

Only had time to grab a take away but amongst the best Green Curry I've ever had.

One of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had! Lukas and Mariel were very attentive with service throughout. Our booking included a birthday which they also helped us to celebrate with a complementary dessert. I genuinely couldn't fault this place and would deffinitley reccomend it to anyone thinking of going out for Thai cuisine.

We had a lovely family dinner here with our teenagers. It was early but the restaurant was already buzzy. Delicious food and great service - would definitely recommend.

Absolutely superb! We have eaten here several times before. The food is delicious - you can taste all the spices used. The service very attentive with staff quietly refilling water glasses without needing to be asked. We ate early with two young children in our party and there were several other families dining with youngsters.

3 October 2023 We booked a table for 7 people (Leeds City Centre) to celebrate a birthday on Saturday 7th October 2023 @ 19:30, which was confirmed. On 3 October we get a google message to advise of the cancellation of the table for 19:30, then a text advising of our new table booking for 21:00. I rang to complain and was told we cancelled the table. I'm absolutely furious. It's quite clear we didn't make the cancellation then to be told we'd cancelled it. Well done you've upset 7 people. Needless to say we'll never frequent your 'restaurant' again.

Expensive but the food was worth every penny. Even my son who normally just sticks to chicken nuggets and chips in every restaurant had the special egg friend rice (massive portion) and loved it. The rice side dishes are very small but the curry is very generous. Food is served fresh and within reasonable time scales. No unnecessary waiting.

A very disappointing visit. My main course was undercooked, and the dessert was of poor quality; I had the deep-fried ice cream. I chose not to return any of these items as I didn't want to create a fuss, but I won't be visiting again. Additionally, the service was lacking; we had to request one of the starters twice, tap water, and the bill multiple times. I'm not sure why this place is so popular. I'd give it 0 stars if I could.

100%recommend!!! The atmosphere was amazing, the food was delicious and authentic, and the staff were super friendly. This is definitely a must eat in Leeds. Had the bottomless brunch... Food was good, drinks were plentiful. The only problem was that for a table of 2 they automatically added 10% tip... now the service was good and I would maybe of tipped without being asked bit to be automatically added?!?! We are not in the USA... tipping is most definitely optional and certianly for a table of 2! Simple mistake but is affected your service as a company (not as as individuals)

Celebrated my birthday, with family, in this beautiful restaurant. The staff were so helpful and respectful they made the whole experience of dining there special. Very friendly staff. Good at their jobs and attentive. Don't like the service charge on the bill when it's only a small table, yes optional but shouldn't be added automatically. Food wasn't bad, I'd recommend Panang. Don't get coconut rice with massaman as too sweet but nice with jasmine rice. Cocktails OK. We had to move tables to accommodate a larger table, didn't really bother me.
