Food was amazing have been a few times. Would recommend to all. Plus they do a delivery service. If your after beautiful tasty authentic food.. This is the place for you... Staff friendly restaurant lovely

A safe bet, been there a long time, the food is excellent each and every time. Lots to choose from, although I'm not too brave. Eating in or ordering it's consistently good!

I booked a table after Christmas for my hubby's birthday. When we arrived I told staff that a table had been booked previously.It went downhill after we walked through the door. We were left to stand for about 15 mins, no-one came to tell us. When we were sat at tsble, we were just left. Had to ask a young lad 3 times to take our drinks and food order, he didn't seem to know what he was doing. Miserable is the only word I can think of. Waiting ages for starter, had to ask twice where the food was. Two family members had to send their starters back twice and they just give up and went without. Most of the mains were ok apart from 1 which was left. The only part of the evening that went ok was the birthday cake coming out. Been to the Suhana a few times and previously experienced brilliant service and fab food. Tonight the service was terrible. Alot of the staff weren't the usual ones. Won't be returning in a hurrah.

First of all the venue is beautiful and clean. The staff are friendly whether you’re a new customer or not. We had a meal to take away , a vegetarian meal which was so tasty and there was plenty. We also had another meal which was also as good and we were given free poppadoms and dips. It’s just continuously the same high standard and always hot! Would highly recommend .

Someone picked up the phone and asked me to wait…I waited over 15 minutes and in the end put the phone down . Completely unprofessional, ended up ordering somewhere else.

Tried here for the first time, very disappointed as my order came 40 min late and cold plus it was wrong and tasted like a ready meal would have been better getting it from %Tesco t half the price. If you want my view, don't use this place its really bad. Talked to them and they were simply not bothered especially knowing was new to their restaurant.

Ordered takeaway for the first time. Living less than one mile away we decided to try here as we normally order from Shimla spice in Ashton but it can take ages to arrive being a few miles away. Food was 40 mins late (original time was 50 mins anyway despite being so close) and then it was cold and distinctly average. Definitely won’t be ordering from here again. Very disappointed. Would not recommend

This is the best Indian restaurant in the area. It has just undergone a refurb during Lock -down and is looking good. We more often have take-away than eat in but both do not disappoint. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for the staff who aim to please. Would not go to any other Indian restaurant in the surrounding area.

First trip to this restaurant met up with friends and from arriving the staff were very friendly and we were made to feel welcome. There is a vast choice of dishes on the menu and everything sounded appealing. Kingfisher is available on draught or small bottles of Cobra. I had the chicken tikka pakora for starters which was lovely. Served hot and with very fresh salad. For main I had Chicken balti chill and garlic with pea fried rice delicious would definitely have again. Nothing was too much trouble and everything we asked for was facilitated with a smile. Highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back.

Gonna start this with , Ive been ordering food from this resturant for over 20 years and has always been to the highest standard . Only eaten in a few time because i prefer take aways. But the service and friendliness of the staff is second to none . Ordered a meal last week and it was overlooked and delayed . No ones fault , just one of those things that happen .. The manager spoke to me and sent a replacement meal down as soon as he could ... He then said to me that he would honour another meal of the same order free of charge .. I took him up on this offer and tonight they deliverd the goods .. Who would do that ??? Suhana did that !!!! Their food is fresh and cooked with family pride that has lasted all these years that has kept me going back for more ...Superb friendly service with a smile . Thank you so much Suhana for providing my family with such great food over all these years

Been coming to this resturant for a number of years since 2003 still is and always will be my favourite Indian restaurant. Service was brilliant as always making our children smile and joking. Food is the best I have tasted fresh hot cooked to perfection. Amazing value for money the atmopshere and staff are hard working friendly and we will defonbe back soon thanks again for another amazing family meal 🤬👌❤️

My two friends and I visited the restaurant on a Wednesday evening and had an excellent meal. So good was the food that we decided to go back the following evening. The service, menu, food and cleanliness were all top notch and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. The Birmingham 'balti triangle' has an excellent reputations for Indian food and having eaten there I would rate this particular restaurant at the top of my list. Well done to all involved.

Being a local girl we are her quite regular but haven't in about 5 years since moving away. Came on Saturday night and have to say it was just as delicious as I remember! The restaurant has undergone a refurb which is really nice, very up to date and tasteful. We were served by the owner who was super friendly and already knew my family's order as they eat there every few months. It felt very personal. We shared a couple of poppadoms with dips then all had the royal starter, got to say the best choice ever. We shared a variety of mains all of which were cooked amazing and very tasty. The restaurant was extremely busy with customers and take away collections showing how popular it is. As far as restrictions go they had everything necessary in place without ruining the dining experience. Can't wait to visit again , Thanks

As soon as I entered, I loved the modernised and newly refurbished decor. The food was cooked to perfection, in particular the prawn curry which was tasty and succulent. Their tandoori starter was quite divine too. The staff were so courteous and very approachable...just what good customer service should be. I highly recommend this place!!!

Let's appreciate that during the eat out to help out phase, most dining premises are going through extreme stress and pressure, putting themselves at risk to the virus, to ensure customers are provided with a high standard service, During this time some services are bound to wobble. Night out as 2 couples. Quick service with a friendly smile. Food came within half an hour which I deem quick service! Had tandoori mixed grill, unbelievable.. Best in town! If you're scared by price, don't be! Best sit in Indian in the area, pay for what you get. Couldn't fault it!

It actually saddens me to write such a scathing review of a restaurant but I personally feel that unless the owners of this establishment take ownership of these grave and irresponsible failures then things won't improve.I respecfully suggest the management take responsibility of my comments and address them swiftly, taken them seriously and save lives.We had booked a table but due to a mix up with our booking it meant we had to wait a further 10 minutes in order for us to finally be seated. No phone number was ever taken at the point of booking just a name!Entering the restaurant we noticed the horrendous unbearable heat as failure to turn the Air Conditioning on meant guests and staff were perspiring perfusly which was extreamly unpleasant and very uncomfortable.In fairness our orders were taken quickly but the owner was also having a dual conversation at the same time with of his waiters so it wasn't quite the attentive and personal service you expect.The food was served with a slap dash approach, no presentation and consideration went into the dishes. My chicken tikka birianyi was tasteless, bland and lacked flavours, my partner chose the garlic chicken also tasteless and bland. We both really had high expectations for these dishes especially when you read previous trip advisor reviews, it was so disappointing.The beverage prices we noticed were atrocious £2.90 for glass of diet coke.I suppose in fairness a majority of these type of establishments aim to set higher drinks costs to off set the lower food revenue, but still I find the soft drinks on the menu on the steep side.The biggest and most serious concern we both witnessed this evening was the failure to instigate the Government Track and Trace system, it was not even mentioned and no facility to use so sadly anyone who gets symptoms of covid 19, the restaurant owners have no method to track its diners.Another concern was the blatant disregard for all waiters and owners to wear face coverings or visors and they were all working in close proximity to each other and came extremely close to fellow diners. This demonstrates ignorance when it comes to adhering to social distance guidance and is dangerous.Another serious concern was that we witnessed for ourselves the lack of professionalism tonight, the sheer lack of social skills from the extreamly young school boy waiters whom were taking your order, the lack of decorum serving your food not being familiar with ethiqete when the time is right to collect your plates, maybe worth waiting till your diners had finished their drinks without just taking them. This is my own opinion, but the waiters were clueless as they are clearly not afay with working in the hospitality industry nor its food and beverages sector.Again, my opinion they looked 15 to 16 year olds, clearly under 18, and they were serving alcohol to guests, which I assumed was illegal these days unless the licensing laws changed recently. But in fairness it gave the owners the opportunity to pay the lower scale for minimim wage.We both noticed flimsy plastic barriers sporadically placed around the restaurant so maybe the owners believe this was ample guideance that they understood when it comes to covid 19 concerns.My advice, get all staff to social distance from your guests and wear face coverings.The restaurant due to the heat had an issue with flys, maybe an insecticide ultraviolet device positioned high enough on the wall and out of sight would have been helpful and raised our review but sadly no such unit hence a few annoying flys whilst trying to eat your food.In conclusion we definitely would not recommend this establishment and we definitely won't be back and we both personally belive its not safe when it concerns adequate protection during this global pandemic.PLEASE TAKE THIS REVIEW SERIOUSLY

Been coming here since it first opened. It's always been consistently good. Went yesterday for Christmas dinner and again it did not disappoint. The food was wonderful and, as always, the staff attentive and friendly. Well done fellas.

Went in a party of18 on work Christmas meal. Staff very pleasant and all food which we ordered in advance was brought out. Food all hot and nicely presented. I had a mixed kebab starter followed by chicken korma. I have had better but this was still very nice.

Each and every time we order it's great, hot tasty and good value. Friendly service, no wonder they gave been there so long!

Excellent takeaway. Great food. Great prices. Great service. Will be visiting again. One biriani enough for two people. Didnt need naan bread. Onion khakis also excellent

We have been here several times and it never fails to give excellent service and delicious food at very reasonable prices.We have tried other Indian restaurants but this is still our favourite.It is small and very friendly with great atmosphere,never hurried.Everything is cooked fresh and tasty.Definately worth a visit.

We visited on NYE and we weren't disappointed with the food. The staff were very helpful however not very organised and we waited 20 mins before being asked if we had a booking.The food is brilliant for the price.The restraunts was busy and everyone seemed satisfied with their food.The decor could do with modernising but otger than that a great meal

This is an absolutely superb restaurant and my favourite at the moment. Although the location is not the best, the food is and so is the price! The staff are excellent and always attentive and helpful. Again though it is the value for money that does it for me as well as well as eating the best Chicken Madras around.

Came here with a group of mates on a Monday night. This place certainly has an interesting interior with a good selection of private booths to sit in. I ordered a garlic chilli chicken tikka from the chef's specials, it's pretty nice...ideally, I would have liked it to be a little more spicy as it was labelled as 'hot' on the menu but I didn't get too much heat from it. The dish does contain a few chopped up green chillies, I would label it as medium. The chicken was tender and well cooked, the roasted garlic slices give this dish a unique flavour. The mushroom rice was totally fine, so too are the breads. This place is a worth a visit if you are in the area, I'd give it a solid 7/10.

Always a delicious meal from this local restaurant. Take away service available so be prepared for the door being opened a few times whilst you're eating but this doesn't detract from the experience. Would definitely recommend

Excellent service by experienced waiters, recommendations if required. Very traditional Indian restaurant so dont expect fancy modern interior but you get what you see. The food is always good and as described & service always very good.

Always an excellent meal with great staff.Ok, it's not a fancy décor type of place but the food is always really good and the place seems clean enough.£180 for 10 of us with drinks, starters and good amounts of poppadoms and naan bread seems reasonable too.

I went here with my partner, we asked for a table for two and we were told by a very sullen waiter to wait in the lounge while he sorted us out, we had no idea where the lounge was? We sat in the lounge a good 15 minutes being ignored while they offered drinks to their regulars. Another couple came in(who were obviously regulars) and asked for a table, they were given a drink while they waited and then sat down for all of four minutes when they where shown to a table!! We pointed out to the waiter that we were here first waiting for a table to which he answered 'give me ten minutes! " we walked out. These people were so rude and ignorant but the regulars where treated very well and seemed to get preferential treatment. Would never go here again!

we went on a Saturday evening, so fairly full, I dropped my wife and daughters off, and went to park the car, and when I returned, they had been shown to our pre booked table, very briskly walked to it, which was a little too quick, as my wife as a walking disability, of which did not have any influence on the waiters gait, then they were just plonked at the table, and had menus hastily thrust into their hands, and just as quickly disappeared, after a bit too long another waiter appeared, and took our orders. The food was really worth waiting for the meat tala was exceptional and the four of us enjoyed the rest of our stay, with such a choice of quality eateries in our little village, I think this one should brush up on their welcoming manners, and must do better on service, its not like they have a manpower shortage, as most of the time one or two of them are not busy, we would give the food 5 out or 5,, and the service 2 out of 5..and yes we will give them one more try,,

Went here one night with husband recently. Were greeted by an unsmiling staff member who looked as though he was tired of life! The other waiters weren't a jolly bunch either. The food was good though, but I must resist the urge to compare all Indian restaurants with EastzEast in Liverpool! The restaurant itself is very old fashioned and they clearly haven't spent money on it for many a year.If the staff had been upbeat and happy it would have been worth it.

Been here a number of times and each time we have had good food and excellent service..We have even been there when it has been both quiet and busy,no matter what they still give great service,the staff are friendly and give a great service the food is lovely and the decor is of an acceptable standard.

Food was good. Reasonably good value but we were the only table in the restaurant so there was a lack of atmosphere. Would recommend this place although hopefully there will be more customers.

Visited for the first time, my husband myself and two friends. We sat in a cosy and well decorated booth, which had the added benefit of feeling private. Everything was clean, service was there when you needed but not interrupting you when you didn't. Food was at the better end of general UK Indian standards. I can't think of anything to criticise and will definitely be making a return visit.

Came here ith my parter and anoth couple normally get take away from here and I think tbey ard the best take out in the area ate in the restaurant and was even better I'm a wimp so I stick with korma and I amnever dissaointed and always love there pechery nans will be back for more!!

lovely intimate feel to this restaurant . polite and helpful staff . they will advise you on all the dishes and as we like spicy food they will adapt any dish which have always been spot on for our taste. have been a number of times now and hads always been excellent

My partner and I have been visiting this restaurant for 4 years now. Staff are friendly, warm, welcoming and they really cannot do enough for you! Each time we visit the gentlemen who own this restaurant have our drinks brought to us immediately, have a friendly conversation with us and if there is anything we need they have it resolved straight away! The food is beautiful, we have never had one bad meal here, always full of flavour and presented lovely. My partner enjoys and always has very hot food (Phall been the named favourite) and the gentlemen here never treat him as though they think he's showing off(as he has been treated by another local Indian)! Our food is always served warm on the heated plates and the candle lit heaters. We never have room for a desert unfortunately so I am unable to comment on the same.The restaurant has undergone some changes in the last few months but it has not detracted from its charm and nostalgic atmosphere. It is always clean and well presented! A real gem and one to visit !

We have been visiting the Suhana for over ten years now and we have never had a bad meal there. The restaurant is quite easy to miss as it is set back off the main road by a few yards, The staff are very friendly and always helpful if you have any queries on the menu. The menu is quite extensive and the prices are very reasonable,we have seen takeaways which are more expensive. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

No smiling faces... Poor communication from employees...and a cant be bothered attitude.Meals weren't too bad, one dish came out sizzling whilst the other was luke warm.Dessert was ice cream which looked like it had been pre-prepared and put in the freezer.Only thing which was a plus, was the naan bread... Delicious and well-made.

We visited as a family for the first time. We usually travel to St Helens but decided to start supporting our local restaurants. We would not return again. We eat at a lot of Indian restaurants and I have got to say this probably was one of the worst for both food and atmosphere.Popadoms were soft and staleStarters were of poor qualityMains 2 out of three were good, my husbands was vile. It was chicken tikka Darjeeling. The smell was awful and it tasted worse than it smelt.Naan bread was to die for.We were squashed into a booth and I felt like I couldn't breathe, the heat was awful, it was so uncomfortable.Surroundings are dated and look dirty.The staff were lovely but unfortunately it's not for us. Sorry Suhana, we won't be making a return visit.

We come here a lot, the staff are always helpful & polite, the food is absolutely to die for the place its self is a lovely atmosphere very calm & peaceful. Would deffinately reccomend

Absolutely love going here, only curry house I ever go to if that's what I fancy! Definitely would recommend to everyone who fancys a curry every now and then! Lovely food an a big choice on the menu.

The food is fantastic for the price with lots to choose from on the menu. The staff and friendly and attentive. Caters for large groups and there are booths for a more private setting. We love coming here and only a short walk from my house!

Not one really for Indian restaurants as you all should know, but this is Actually not that bad, I enjoyed the food as did my wife we shall return.

This small restaurant does both takeaways and sit down meals. We tend to get takeaways for the freezer because in my opinion Indian food does not deteriorate if not kept for too long.Their food is always of good quality and as I have opined in previous reviews we like to think of ourselves as Indian food fanatics. With this in mind the Suhana compares very favourably with our best restaurants for quality of choice, food and friendlyness. To top it all it is also one of the best value for money being one of the cheapest around. Highly recommended.

We have been going to Suhana since we moved to Lowton (only realising this year that it only opened in the same year that we moved here) Never have we had a bad meal there. Yesterday we went as a send off for Olly going back to Uni. The kids love poppadoms, and these were seriously good, very light and crispy and certainly amongst the best I've ever had, but the curries were exceptional. The rugrats each had a korma (olly Chicken, Lucy vegetable) but wifey was talked into one of the house specials and had the Dil Pasand (Chicken in an almond and cream sauce) that she claimed to be the best curry she'd ever had. I went for a lamb curry whose name I can't remember, bt it had lots of fresh ginger. It was described as medium but I felt it was mild, but was very very good. All of this, two rounds of drinks, all for £50.00.

The staff and restaurant are first rate, I went in a group of 12 people, but I, ve been as a couple , and with a few friends also, the staff really make you feel welcome and at home, the restaurant also dose a takeaway menu just as good and just as cheap with the same service. I have been here loads of times and will continue to go

Me and my family of 12 went to this restaurant on a busy Saturday night. Slow service when busy, missed out meals and drinks, had to keep asking for them. Staff very pleasant and friendly, food average, found starter very salty. On a whole, an enjoyable evening, but took at over 3 hours for 2 course meal with slow service.

We went for the first time as a family of four after a friends recommendation. It was the all you can eat buffet night and was a little concerned that would there be food that the kids would eat. However I needn't have worried. We had poppadums and sauces first and then some really lovely starters, tandoori chicken wings, onion bhaji to name a few. There was a good selection of mains, rice and naan bread all of excellent taste and quality. The staff were really pleasant and not intrusive which sometimes can be an issue in restsurants offering cheap meals trying to get you to keep buying drinks but they werent like that here We were even surprised by the bill as hadn't realised that the kids were a cheaper price so including 2 rounds of drinks and our meals it came to about £11.50 per head so more than impressed with that. Will definitely be returning to sample the main menu or a takeaway meal. Overall definitely one to visit highly recommend.

Finest Indian food in the the north west for take away also eating in ask for a booth great music and very perlite food out of this world esp chicken vindaloo with chapatis tried loads all over the country but nothing like the local

Don't let the decor put you off - though it does seem like stepping into a 1970s Indian restaurant, the food is great!

We went to Suhana as a family of six all had different meals and each was amazing, I would have no problem giving this restaurant a 5 star excellent review. Friendly staff great food and a very reasonable bill at the end of the evening

The Suhana is a local Indian restaurant for us so may be a little biased but I have tried others and I can honestly say the food is excellent and really good value. We dine in on many occasions and they cater for small or larger parties. The staff are all lovely and helpful and they are always willing to tweak the menu for you, you can ask for it less hot or with chicken instead of lamb if you want. The take away service is also excellent and the food just as good as dining in.
