The best Italian food! My lasagne was perfect, my partner had venison ragu which again was perfect. The setting was stunning as well. Look forward to eating here again

Fantastic food lovely. Cosy, intimate restaurant. Best steak ever (I've had many!!) Desserts to die for. Beautiful decor. Booking is essential as food so good. Staff are lovely. Be prepared to climb up some steep narrow stairs as the restaurant is above the Lamb and flag pub which is in itself lovely.

10 friends out to dine on a Tuesday evening. We had booked in advance, [and increased the numbers once or twice]. Some of us had eaten here before, some newcomers. We were seated without delay, asked about drinks, starters, etc without feeling hurried...and allowed to eat and drink at our own pace. The food really is excellent and is referenced Italian/Sicilian. Go there for a light lunch, go for an expansive dinner...but do go there

Small plates are fantastic for sharing and allowing you to try many more dishes. The calamari was beautifully cooked - light and delicate, the king prawns went splendidly with the picante sauce and the chickpea fritters superb. At 3 dishes for £10, great value so we went for puddings and coffees ...

We came for the set price lunch which seems good value. My husband ordered chargrilled chicken - this turned out to be chicken fried in bread crumbs - rather heavy with a rich mushroom sauce and chips. My sea bass was very good. The only dessert on the set menu was lemon sorbet but apple cake was available so only one of the three advertised desserts could be had. The wine was a reasonable price.

Tasty Italian food served by attentive staff. We shared an “Italia” pizza (swapping the ham for mushrooms) and a veggie lasagne. Both were beautifully prepared and the pizza was thin-based with loads of rocket and garlic.

I went to Sugo for my daughters birthday I wanted somewhere different and wasn’t disappointed Everything was lovely from the staff to the food The only thing I would suggest to them If you know it’s someone’s birthday they would finish it off by a nice gesture of a drink or little something for the birthday girl It goes a long way and pays divedends in the end

Lovely welcome by enthusiastic staff. Excellent menu although the starters seemed a little expensive. Good ambience, food, wine and service. Overall, an enjoyable evening had with friends

The food here is simply average for the cost. The starters are way overpriced for the size and quality. The main was presented well, but somewhat bland. Even the wine was super light and nondescript. Whilst there is nothing wrong with the place, there is nothing particularly special about it either. The atmosphere is lovely and warm, and the service is okay (I had to keep asking the staff for little things that should've been done without asking). Style over substance I'm afraid. Certainly not offensive but we won't be going back any time soon.

We saw the restaurant, checked out the menu and went in. It was a cold day and the premises were cold, my wife had to keep her coat on, no real atmosphere, in fact only two other couples were in, and this being despite a very busy day outside (Christmas Market) and quite cold. Service was okay and the food was very good.

Went to Sugo for dinner with my partner and little niece. The service was absolutely amazing. My niece loved it there had crayons and some pages to colour in. The wait was not long and the food was satisfying and fresh. My partner had a stake there and said it was the best stake he ate in Worcester. Highly recommended! Quality family or friends time guaranteed. Thanks to everyone at Sugo.

What a shame, was really looking forward to this. It wasn't all bad but certainly not as good as it was we believed it to be. On arrival we were put on a really awkward table configured to allow staff to move between the two rooms of the restaurant. It would work better as a table for three but they got four of us around it with one of us sort of isolated at one end. The frustrating thing was a party of three was sat at a table for four opposite us.

The restaurant is cold and the service is woeful but the real issue is they do not take allergies seriously. Despite having been told that I have a shellfish allergy and that my choice of main course was shellfish free they served it to me with a shellfish sauce! Fortunately I realised their mistake as soon as I took my first mouthful and I am not seriously allergic like some. It does not bear thinking about if that had happened to a seriously allergic child. Will never go back again.

Booked for 2 Saturday night. Booked online and had an email which confirmed the booking. Upon arrival, they did not have our booking. The default was to blame me and that I had booked in the sister restaurant. The email confirmation clearly showed otherwise however. Therefore they did try and find a table. It ended up in the entrance window very close to another table. As we were seated a table further in for 4 came free , I requested we moved. I was told it was booked for 30 minutes time.

This was our first visit since this restaurant changed hands. We had been visiting, when it was Galleria, for many years. We received a very warm welcome by the staff ordered our food very quickly, it was lunchtime and no one else in the place at first. My husband ordered garlic bread, it came out as a pizza size, most unexpected! My husband had lasagne for main, not as good as Galleria. I had chicken wrapped in bacon with a tomato sauce..... I could hardly cut the chicken as it was so stringy and dry, didn't enjoy at all.

Booked on same day as visit and quite pleased to get a table on a Saturday night as we have dined at their sister restaurant in Worcester and really enjoyed it. Arrived at due time to be greeted by no-one. Nobody on the bar and nobody at their entrance. Waited a few minutes and eventually somebody appeared, checked the reservations list but it seems our booking was missing. Despite this we were seated and once again we waited to be provied with food and/or drinks menu. Eventually we were provided with some bottled water but again no menus (the person serving the water couldn't take a drinks order as she was under 18). An adult staff member was eventually flagged down with no drinks menu to hand but fortunately we knew what we wanted and drinks were ordered. Menus eventually arrived and food ordered. Starter was Crostino du funghi which at over 8 quid for two slices of bread with creamed mushrooms on top, although tasty, was as a bit expensive. My wife ordered the Fusilli ai fritti di mare which arrived with a selection of seafood and a single langoustine covered in the pasta sauce - no finger bowl, no serviette! Again these eventually arrived. I had the Pollo alla valdostana - my worst dining decision ever. To pay nearly 20 quid for the driest chicken portion ever was a mistake. Covering it with a mass of rocket and parmesan shavings didn't hide the fact that it wasn't good. And why does chef think that adding salt to (the not very many) chips is his/her decision - let the customer decide.

Booked for 6pm and was turned away at 5.55pm saying we open at 6. (Website says it opens at 5). Returned at 6.20 after having a drink in a bar nearby. Returned to restaurant and seated ordered a large Sauvignon Blanc. Small Sauvignon was served as “that’s all we have til next week!” Run out on a Friday? Are there no wine shops in Worcester? It’s very simple, if you run out, get some more!! We ordered pizza and lasagne. The food was ok, nothing special but the lasagne was so small, definitely not worth the price. Honestly? Excellent service for the most part. The menu may be shorter than you are used to but that means the quality on offer is better. Very pleased to find an Italian restaurant that is actually a reflection of Italy. I liked the balance of pasta to meat to fish dishes on offer meaning there should be something for all omnivores. There is a separate pizza menu as well. The wine list has wine from both the North and South of Italy with a bottle for most peoples' price points.

Menu was quite extensive but was not quite as Italian as I had hoped. Only Pasta seafood on offer was prawns and lots of steak options and I don't go to an Italian place for steak. Waiting staff were attentive and personable. The menu offers pasta dishes as starters or mains which is a good option. Pasta dishes were OK without being stunning. Lasagne was rather flavourless. Fried seafood sharing platter was good, but included stacks of fried onions and the scallops were also fried which for me means you lose the soft sweetness of the scallops. The atmosphere is pleasant. I would go here again to re-evaluate my initial view. Its a good place but for our party didn't quite deliver

Booked this place as the other Sugo in town was booked up. Staff were welcoming apart from one lad who seemed to be a reet grump all the time we were there. Food was very, very filling. Would advise not having a pasta as a starter as it is massive and you will not be able to finish your main!Food was very, very tasty tho and well presented. The restaurant is very noisy however and with tables quite close to each other, you can and do hear what the next table is talking about - which is okay if you want to hear about shifts at the local hospital, children squealing and discussions about why there are two prices on the pasta. Although full, we asked to see the dessert menu but decided we really could not fit one in. Grumpy bloke waiter was not happy about this at all but surely that must happen time and time again. Having said that, the dessert menu looked good and if we returned, would choose a little differently and leave room for pud!

The décor was the same and the service but what a shock. No set lunch now, it had been excellent and very good value. The prices had shot up and although the food was still good(not very good) the portions of Lasagne were very small. It mos certainly did not represent value for money. Although service was a little slow to start, me and my friends didn't mind whilst we were having a chinwag. Cutting it short, the food was fantastic. The option to have a smaller main with a side is what we all went for, the flavours were fab and our waiter/waitresses very attentive popping over frequently getting excited with us about opening gifts and topping up our drinks in the process. We 1 big starter to share, 3 mains, 2 sides, 1 dessert (let's forget the 2 bottles of prosecco and 2 espresso martinis each) and for the 3 of us it came to a reasonable price that we were more than happy to pay.
