Warm welcome and lovely coffee. Interesting little place- they also have some basic groceries for sale, which can be handy. Nice place to rest in for a short while after coming down from the hills. Can't comment on the food as we didn't eat there, but can definitely recommend the coffee. Thanks and we will be back!

We happened upon this lovely little cafe after a walk in the Malverns. On a Friday at 3.45 it was buzzing with local families - it's clearly a central part of the local community. The carrot cake was superb - really moist and with a wonderful mascarpone topping (not too sweet - just how I like it.) My partner absolutely loved his spiced orange and parsnip cake as well. The service was friendly, even though they were winding down for the day and due to close at 4pm. We'd definitely return on our next trip to the Malverns.

Lovely cafe with friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food made that day. After walking on the Malvern Hills, we dropped down to find this place as it had good reviews and we could take our dogs. We were very pleased that we did.

Arrived at 1505 on a Saturday afternoon. Sign in window stating opening hours 1030 to 1530. So why were you closed ? Quite a few others who arrived at the same time after walking in the Malvern hills to find the cafe shut.

I went to Sugarloaf Café for the first time today with a group of mums following a walk on the Malvern Hills. The staff were amazing ensuring we all had everything we wanted, the food was delicious and very good value. There was also the added bonus of being able to take my dog inside. Will definitely be returning!

Bacon and egg bap with cafe latté was much welcome after a long stroll on the Malvern Hills. The staff were friendly and Jon made the best coffee, it’s becoming a busy cafe with a lovely atmosphere. The cake is also very tempting. VG

If you set off walking in West Malvern you are very likely to come across this café. It is understated and unpretentious but offers a small menu consisting of really well cooked snacks breakfasts. They also sell milk, bread, butter and soft drinks. which is so handy if you are self-catering in the area.

We were on our way through Malvern when we came cross this cafe... not overly inviting from the outside but we thought we’d give it a try.I chose the carrot cake which was delicious and my partner had the walnut cake which was also very tasty. However it took about 10 minutes for the girl working behind the till to make and bring out a cappuccino. I could understand if it was very busy inside, but there was nobody in there?! By the time my partners drink was bought out I had eaten mine and she had her drink so she drank hers quickly and we didn’t stay long.

Lovely little place, extremely well priced and full baguettes, lovely coffee, selection of cakes and cold drinks. Clean. Staff are polite and the outside seating area is pleasant and quiet. For less than £7 I got a baguette, cold drink, large coffee and big bag of mini cheddars.

Wonderful setting, atmosphere and service and welcome pit stop after a walk on the hills but it’s also popular with children after school which is why I’d hoped they would serve many more attractive child friendly sugar free options to help promote and support their good health and well being.

Another Sunday at the Sugarloaf Cafe. Lovely Sunday roast with lots of beef, fresh veg, very friendly staff, nice deserts. You can take your own wine and they don't charge corkage. The outside loo sums up this lovely cafe.

On the recommendation of a friend, went here for a quick lunch yesterday and was not disappointed. Tiny place, with a handful of tables at one end of what is a small shop for the local students. Staff were delightful and couldn't be more helpful....

I have walked past the Sugarloaf Cafe several times when walking up to the Worcestershire Beacon from West Malvern but never stopped there previously. This week I had time for a coffee stop so decided to give it a try and was I glad. The coffee was as good as I have had for some time and the Granola bar was truly scrumptious! I have a feeling I will be planning more of my Malvern walks around the Sugarloaf Cafe in future

West Malvern is a great place to visit, and most people probably go there for a walk on the Malvern Hills, A cafe, at the start or end of a walk, is a great idea. This cafe is small, and part of a small village shop, but it serves good (fair trade) coffee and tea, and a small range of fresh baguettes, home made cakes and cold drinks. Inside and outside seating (great view) - all round , a really useful facility.

Staff are extremely friendly and always up for a great laugh. Portion sizes are very large, great value for money. Wide range of drinks to suit either a quiet night out or even a messy one. Amazing atmosphere all around be it in the restaurant or the bar. I discovered this little gem on accident, it was a very happy accident and I will be returning without a doubt. Thanks Garry and team

When we got there, we saw a sign that said 'overflow car park'. Absolutely accurate, the river had overflowed into the car park, which was now a pond. Service was a little slow to start with but then improved. Food was excellent, so was the company and the atmosphere. Defo going back some time.

Four of us had a light lunch here yesterday. We had hoped to sit outside by the lake but it was cold so we were in the bistro which is lovely. We all ordered sandwiches which were delicious and presented beautifully with a small selection of dressed salad leaves . We all had banana sponge pudding with toffee sauce and ice cream - a bit like sticky toffee pudding but even better. The staff were immaculately turned out, and genuinely welcoming and helpful. This is such a lovely place and we will definitely be back before long.
