As always the food is excellent, couldn’t fault it in any way Good, professional and friendly service Definitely would recommend and be back again and again!! Also great to be able to bring your own favourite alcohol.

Went with family on Sunday and each had the £15 banquet. Good advice from owner to mix and match our side dishes and not over-order so food wouldn't be wasted. Absolutely excellent food, very tasty. The mixed kebab starter on it's own was almost a meal in itself. Staff were very attentive without being over-fussy. A very clean restaurant with everything well presented. Haven't been here for a couple of years and believe it's a new manager. It was good before, but now one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to. Definitely going back soon.

Ordered takeaway. Was very spicy for the product, stewed and lacked taste. Nan bread was both dry and tough. Order for 2 cost over £31. Never again it tasted like reheated food from the night before.

This is our favourite Indian restaurant and takeaway and we have used both services. The staff are lovely and are very attentive and can't do enough to ensure you have a good experience. The food is always delicious and beautifully served. Priced very reasonably and we will definitely be back again.

The food is fantastic, service is above and beyond. We love visiting here and found my daughters new favourite place. The staff were so kind and lovely and gave her a free ice cream in a plastic penguin cup that we can wash and keep as a toy too.

August 2024 Ordered a takeaway last week, was delicious. Ordered again today & it was even better, Top Notch, actually..!! Lived in Gainsborough 26yrs & this was the best curry I've had in the town. Order was delivered within 25mins, friendly customer service from the lady on the phone & the Lad who delivered it. Knocks the Spots off the other nearby Indian restaurants & takeaways. Highly recommend.

Admittedly it’s been a Few months since I had a take away meal from here but Thats because I prefer eating in, however, was really missing the fresh tasty flavours and I wasn’t disappointed. Thanks to Ali and the team for excelling yet again.

Yet another excellent takeaway tonight. Consistently good curries, loads of variety, polite staff, lots of special offers. People reading poor reviews need to remember disgruntled folk are more likely to leave a review than satisfied folk! Try for yourself. We’ve used them since 2015, even had a curry from them for Christmas lunch this year!

Just had a takeaway from here very disappointed, the masala was runny and not very creamy. The meal was 25 mins late.

We have always had lovely meals from here but in January we ordered and were kept waiting 2 hours with no apology! Decided to try again tonight (June) - this time 1 hour 15 again with no apology (despite being given assurances it was on its way). Bolshy delivery staff too who tried to charge extra than the price on their app!!!

By far the best Indian around here. The food is amazing and the guys that work there are brilliant, always happy and polite. Can't wait for the restraunt to open again so me and my girlfriend can visit for a meal instead of a takeaway. Keep up the good work guys

I had a bad experience from here and instead of taking the criticism on board and improve. I found them very rude, hence why I will not try again, which is a shame as I no a lot of people that like this Indian

Sadly this restaurant is currently only providing take away - but this is just the second meal from here and we cannot fault the quality or quantity. I collect as we are well out of town and it is easier than trying to explain delivery instruction. Once they are allowed to reopen as a restaurant then I am sure we will be making a visit.

We just placed an order over £50 with these and they delivered the food over an hour later. When we went to get the food out of the bag the food containers were open and splashed all over the bag. The curry was everywhere with no hope of salvaging any. I rang Sufian and asked if they could replace the curries which had arrived the way the had. The man on the phone was very rude and told me it wasn’t there fault and there wasn’t much he could do.. he eventually said he would redeliver the food but it would when they had chance too.. we decided that we would prefer a refund. They told us that we had to “walk down and get your money love” we live a 20 minute walk away. He eventually agreed to give us a refund at some point during the night. A delivery driver came to collect the food and then informed us that Sufian wouldn’t be giving us a refund and we had to go through online customer service. We was then told that we were not welcome to order from there again. We had done nothing wrong and was treat horrendously from this rude takeaway. Boycott at all costs. ELACH IS A MUCH NICER INDIAN IN GAINSBOROUGH ALL ROUND

Absolutely amazing food and service. We went as a family for our Christmas day meal and could not fault it at all. As always the staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the food is gorgeous as always. We will definitely be back

Succumbed tonight to another takeaway and as usual Sufian came out tops! Never had a bad meal from here, current favourite is the lamb naga.

OMG....just moved to the area and tried another Indian takeaway first a couple of weeks ago that was substandard to say the least. We tried Sufian last night and it was Devine, we have tried Indian food from Scotland to Brick Lane and I have to say this is the very best I’ve had......it was amazing!!!Just wish they delivered as far as us but for this food we will collect.... We will be back!!

Had a very pleasant meal in a nice window seat. Really enjoyed the food which was both vegetarian and also a chicken dish both great quality and the service was attentive and pleasant too. Would recommend and return a bit of a hidden gem.

Made a wee visit to the Sufian tonight. The food was LOVELY and the staff were all very nice. My wife and daughter asked for sweet Kormas and were not left dissapointed as it was made perfectly. Can't fault them and best thing is that it's a few minutes drive for us to get to.

In Amsterdam I like to sit in any of the many world renowned restaurants and watch the beautiful people walking past on there way to art galleries, museums and sophisticated night clubs.

Have had quite a few takeaways from here and never been disappointed, but for the first time tonight, we ate in the restaurant with our visiting family.

We booked a table at last minute and fortunately managed a table for two.

Met up with friends for a catch up meal and drinks...their first time at this Indian restaurant. All food was delicious and service very good as per our other visits.

Back again with my Dad, great service and amazing fresh cooked food - thanks to Ali and the team. Ali and the team always willing to advise on menu choices, this week he recommended some dishes and they were very tasty - meal price of £9.99 during the week for starter, main, rice and naan. You can’t go wrong.

Easy to order online, arrived to collect it wasn't ready. Once home both our mains one chicken and one veggie were full of grease. The nan bread was stodgy and chewey. Never had such a bad takeaway. One to avoid at all costs.

The food was the best I have had. So much on the menu I decided to try dishes I’d never heard of. I’m glad I did. The lamb dish was fantastic as was the rice dish. The staff are very friendly and I will definitely be going back

A good old fashioned Indian providing proper curries for all tastes. They don't sell wine but you can take your own for a small corkage fee which is superb. Plonk a box of Cab Sauv down and away we go. Just kidding. Veggie curries are especially delicious and the Tarkha Dhal is very luxurious. Worth a visit.

We get takeaway on a semi regular basis and would not get Indian food from anywhere else in Gainsborough. The food is always top notch and we have never had a bad meal. When I had family come over from south Africa I took them here and even they said it was the best Indian they had in years. Couldn't recommend it enough.

Being unusually just myself, husband and the baby we decided to do something different for Christmas dinner. We considered going to the restaurant for the festivities but had a teething poorly little one so the restaurant took our order and delivered us a banquet. The food was so hot we had to give it a minute but so tasty. We ate like kings and thoroughly enjoy every bite. Amazing service will bend over backwards for you. Highly recommend. Think I will be disappointed to go back the traditional dinner next year!

This is a delight of a restaurant. Very small and located close to Marshall's Yard, the staff could not be more helpful. On our latest visit, we arrived an hour early at 5pm (they open at 6). They welcomed us in, sat us down and took our orders, despite gearing up for a massive anniversary party they were catering for that evening. The food was delicious, including mild dishes such as Lamb Mudhoo and Korma to cater for those who don't like the fiery spices. One delicacy you MUST try is the enormous Naan bread, which towers over the table like one of those gigantic Formula one trophies, and is absolutely delicious. Service was swift and friendly, but not intrusive, and we left absolutely full, warmed and feeling like we had been treated as special guests. The bill was only thirty pounds for two meals, starters and drinks, and the quality was top notch. Very highly recommended!

What more can I say: excellent varied menu, not expensive, all food freshly cooked, well presented, nothing too much trouble, lovely surroundings, spotlessly clean and Aftad backwards and forwards keeping us amused with his questions. The only disappointment for my friend and I was the restaurant was empty on the night we visited so come on folks pay this lovely little restaurant a visit. It is well worth it.

As usual service was fantastic as was the food. The chefs are so accommodating and will adjust meals to suit your taste or allergies. Lovely atmosphere for parties or intimate meal for 2. Highly recommend a visit.

We popped in here for dinner after a long day at work and we're greeted by a very friendly chap who managed to fit us in without a booking even though they were busy. The food was speedy and very tasty and the nan was huge but really nice. Very pleasant experience will be back if I'm in the area

My friends and I have been eating at this restaurant for about four years now. The food is consistently very good and now that the restaurant has a license to sell alcohol it really is a great place to eat. The waiting staff are very attentive and Mohammed in particular is a real asset to the restaurant being pleasant courteous and engaging. I am loath to write this review as, we had our wedding reception and my 50th birthday there and it was wonderful. But we visited last night and went with my sister and her husband 2 Saturdays before, a sign said on entrance book a meal for 4 get a free bottle of wine, it seems that is only if you tell them when booking about the wine. The starters as always were excellent, but my prawn curry if I had 3 king prawns I would be surprised and my husband said the same of his Lamb Jalfrazi, several side dishes were extremely small maybe 3 piece of potato in the Bombay potato and the bill came to just short of £100, drinks do make a difference. Last night the food was just as bad and the sign said 15% discount if dining up to 7.30pm, I had to argue that we didn't have to leave by that time just get in. But we did get the 15%.. Starter again brilliant main well lamb was tough and gristly. Although the service and the guys there are really nice, now it is a pay bar I think we will go back to the Moonlight sorry guys.

Excellent for a couples meal on a Friday or to go with the children, two of our children really enjoy Indian food and one of them is not so keen, that's not a problem for Sufian they make the best Indian food with fresh ingredients and spices AND they make healthy delicious chicken fillet nuggets and even cook baked beans, so we can eat there as a family and our children get to experience Asian food that they really enjoy, whilst our son looks forward to the visit too. The food and service is really excellent. We have travelled all over the world and the menu here is holds its own.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Sufian last night. We ate the Asian-style hot chicken naga tarkari and the delicious king prawn shashlik, which was cooked to absolute perfection accompanied by a yummy sauce and beautifully seasoned peppers and onions. Service was excellent - we think this is the best Indian restaurant anywhere!

We ordered our takeaway treat for delivery and paid by card over the phone. When it arrived we were missing items and on phoning to tell them they told us we could have them free next time, the takeaway was not at all cheap actually for what we received it was extremely expensive and so we told them we wanted what we had ordered they told us it would be an extra 30mins or an hour. In actual fact the missing items arrived 2& a half hours later.

Rather long and narrow. Not a great deal of atmosphere. Food can be good at times but we did not find staff over friendly or welcoming. No wine for sale but you can bring your own.

Service was good but the meal wasn't quite what I had been expecting given I'd had takeaways from here in the past. there was nothing wring with the meal in any way, but it was rather ordinary, OK but nothing special. The eating-in expereince was not quite what you might expect as it is VERY small

Went for a romantic meal with the missus and WOW the food at this place is Awsome. I had chicken balti and it was spiced perfectly and my womans chicken pathia was excellent and the chicken quality was perfect with plenty of it. The boss was very friendly and quite chatty with excellent service provided, however the English waitress was a miserable mare who obviously didnt want to be there on Friday night. It was reasonably priced and very clean. We will be back for more of your curry.

Heard a lot about the sufian so decided to give it a go.I ordered a medium curry with coconut rice it was more coconut that rice could not eat it the curry was tasteless not a good experience

We were there New Years Eve and they were very busy. Even so the staff the were great and although the food took a while to arrive (it always does) it was exceptional as usual.The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Excellent place, thoroughly recommend - but not if you are in a rush!!

We booked in for 9 of us for this evening, as a work Christmas do. The food was beautiful, which was the only pleasant thing this evening. I've been here before when it was different staff running the restaurant, and couldn't fault the staff at all! But tonight the staff were eager to get us out as fast as possible, we felt rushed. There was only one member of staff who was relatively polite.. maybe the others should take notice! No manners or the slightest care for the customers needs. Bring back the old staff!

Visited this restaurant many times..with famly,freinds..Foods always good..service poor. ..price reasonable When this place opened new,,they had good management, well spoken,well dressed staff..but its not same. .they need a asian manager who knows the ingredience.And experienced lively bubbly..not some body who havent got a clue. We really enjoy visiting your restaurant. It means so much to be remembered each and every time. The real personal touch.Even remember our order for food and drink as we choose almost the same every time.

Had a meal here as part of a group on Sunday night. The food it self was quite nice plenty of meat and flavour. But unfortunately our male waiter got our order wrong twice. I felt as the service from that guy fairly poor, he was blunt, fairly rude when we questioned our naan breads. To be honest his service and mannerism was poor, and the best bit I went outside for some air and over heard him on the phone talking about DRUGS! I felt disgusted knowing he was taking drugs and dealing with our food! Completely unacceptable behaviour for staff.

At one point I was eating at Sufian on a weekly basis; they serve some of the best curry dishes in Lincolnshire. The menu offers traditional dishes and some great chef's recommendations. My favourite starter is their mixed grill, for main the Shimla Chicken with a side of tarkha Dahl and garlic nan. The owners and waiters do a good job in looking after the customer.They don't have a licence but you are welcome to bring your own drinks and there's no corkage!Only downside, they don't have very many covers downstairs; although there are more tables upstairs the ambience is not quite the same.
