Sue's Kitchen in Erewash

Ordered the food on Uber eats with the delivery time of 40mins. It took nearly 2 hours, when I rang for the second time the person started arguing with me as his delivery person went to the wrong house and somehow blamed us (our number is clearly displayed on the door, so I can’t see where the confusion was). The positives of this experience, is that that delivery guy was apologetic, and the food was still warm when it came. Please sort your customer service out.

Placed an order on just eat was accepted then immediately cancelled for £30 this wasn't money i had to spare. Why accept the order to cancel immediately after. Robbing company, do not use.

Had food for first and last time tonight rice cold tasted like it had been stored in a cardboard the sauce tasted awful waste of money as it went in the bin

Found a kong hair in the chow mein and the rest of it was tasteless

Asked for no onions or mushrooms in any dish. Every dish came filled with onions and mushrooms. Clearly don't read the notes on Uber eats. Couldn't eat any of it

We ordered from there last night. The food was terrible, tasted old…. Also the strange thing was that it took 10 minutes from ordering to delivery....we had ordered before and it was very tasty! I don't know what has changed now but we will never order from there again!

Dirty shop they don’t let you in because they don’t want you to see how dirty it is the window filthy blind’s shut and the food is awful keep away

Food was pretty tasty. Delivery driver was very friendly, gave my dog a good fuss and fetched him a treat out of his car. + came a tad earlier than expected.

We ordered 3 main meals from Sues kitchen, this is the 2nd time ordering from them, the 1st time the chips was overcooked as if refried! This time the chips was even worse and the sweet and sour chicken balls was so crispy and over fried that we couldnt bite into them, the batter was frazzled to 1mm thick and full of oil. The chicken in the chicken curry was rubbery too, VERY DISSAPOINTING but even worse im still waiting for them to address the email of complaint 5 days later. So rubbish customer service after sales... AVOID! (They never did reply)

Food luke warm and Beef in the chow mein was like leather even the dog walked away from it.and not even sure what was in the chicken fried rice but certainly wasn't any chicken ive eaten. 2 mouthfuls of this and i took a covid test as it tasted of nothing

Food to salty Chicken balls over done, chow mein to oily! paid over £13 had to leave it all. Will never order from here again 😒 money down the drain

Absolutely disgusting! They had frozen chicken, duck, need etc in the car on the street for more than 6 hours! I have reported this to food safety!

Always a pleasure ordering from Sue's kitchen foods always hot and on time . had a few issues but always resolved ....well did rate sk a 5 star but the other week they messed up the order so we had to go collect what they messed up from somewhere else as the time would be to long for us all to eat together ALWAYS SPEND BETWEEN 30 40 POUNDS EITHER EVERY WEEK OR EVERY 2 WEEKS HAVING SAID THAT PLACED A ORDER TONIGHT TO THEN TELL US THAT IT HAS BEEN CANCELLED WE ASK WHY THEY SAY MANAGER WILL TALK THEN HANG UP SERIOUSLY THIS PLACE WAS AMAZING AND IS NOW GOING DOWN HILL .... SO RANT OVER BE CAREFUL PEOPLE

Just had the mixed veg in sweet and sour sauce, minus the pineapple but asked for added beansprouts, peppers, onion and mushrooms. Received a dish which consisted of 2/3rds bamboo, in bland tasteless sauce, 1 chopped up mushroom, 3 small pieces of green pepper, a few slivers of onion, 4 tiny baby sweetcorn and a few minute beansprouts. Absolutely dreadful. Plus the chips were way over cooked and dry. At least the crackers were 👌 🙄 We've had many dishes from SK over the last couple of years but tonight's was a shocker. 👎🏻

We chose Sue's Kitchen after a couple of recommendations. Great food, quick to deliver. Wouldn't normally have a delivery but due to covid it seems like the only option. We ordered a variety of things and was impressed with everything we ate. The spicy dishes were actually spicy rather than some places that are hardly spicy. Although we'd always wish for it to be spicier. We will be back for sure!

Not answering phones had food delivered on time, ordered sweet chilli beef and what's turned up is crispy beef in an orange sauce with zero flavour ie tastes like water, the salt and pepper chips are stale and cold and no flavour other than onion. Very annoyed at no answer to complain how can a takeaway not answer the phone? Worst food I've ever ordered honestly and my money down the drain. Not happy

Would give them zero but I can't. We've ordered once and really enjoy dit but we've tried three times again since but every order was declined with no reason why.

This was the first time I'd been to this takeaway the food was very tasty hot and reasonably priced. I didn't have to wait a long time but will order by phone before collecting next time..

I have only just moved into the area and been 3 times now to get some quick food whilst moving in. But l can say it is excellent, the best Chinese takeaway food l have had so far in Ilkeston, and l have lived here over 30 years. Also, the best part being the excellant customer service. :) thank you Sue's kitchen.

Mediocre low quality food, wouldn’t recommend at all. Everything tastes cheap from the low quality white/brown rice to the chicken, beef and shrimp... Portions are good if you have the will power to eat it of course.

Packed in a box and so the food was still lovely and hot. Came on time

The food was awful! Samosa’s had no filling, hardly any beef in the meal. main meals were a bit bland and the chips were warm ups! Won’t be ordering from there again.

Got to be the worst takeaway I've ever had, The food very wet. ie lots of liquid, and taste less. Will not be ordering again.

The chips were pretty awful, they were damp. The meat seemed like mostly scraps and wasn't crispy. The rest was okay but not great.

The food wasn't particularly warm when we got it, there's barely any flavour and the chicken balls have been either tried twice or left in too long

The food quality was awful compare to my last 2 orders. The crispy lemon chicken, the chicken was paper thin. It was so dried that we left the whole dish. The fried rice was not as nice as my last order. I gave it 2 stars for food quality because the beef curry hasn't changed and it was good. I was wondering had they changed their chef. Don't think I am going to order from them anymore. I probably stick with the good old McXXXXXX and KXX. Their food quality always the same.

The food was awful. We barely are any of it, far too greasy, even for a Chinese! The chicken was dry and tasteless, practically inedible and the satay sauce had some kind of slime in it so couldn't be eaten either. The food was also late, partially because they tried to deliver to the wrong house, good job we have honest neighbours! I was impressed that the restaurant noted my request for no beansprouts in the Noddles, other places often miss this. I wouldn't usually leave a review but I chose this place based on its great review score and was thoroughly disappointed.

food was foul, everything was soggy and tasted microwaved. also food came in 20 mins? good however I find it hard to believe they cooked, packed and delivered it within 20 mins. wouldn’t go back

Absolutely the best Chinese! Ordered from here multiple times and never had any issues. Delivery is always super speedy, food exactly as ordered and tastes wonderful! Ordered Chinese from other local takeaways when Sue’s are closed and just doesn’t compare. Couldn’t recommend enough.

It was the best Chinese takeaway we had for a while. The quality was even better than a well known Chinese restaurant around the area. Service was 4 stars because of the 50p service charge on top of the £2 delivery charge. The delivery was a bit too long though but it was on a Friday night. Will definitely order from Sue again.

We had the Special Set meal C3. Nominally for 3 people, 5 of us were comfortably fed and with a box of rice unopened to spare. The variety meant that everyone could find food to their taste, even those of us with food intolerances. One diner reported the ribs a little tough but would definitely order again and try different dishes.

Always turns up quickly. food always hot and tasty. Usually get something extra free and some fortune cookies. very reliable.

This is the first time that I have ordered from here and it was the best Chinese I have had in ages.

The delivery was quick and prices great but all of the food was completely tasteless.

This is the first time i have used this take away our usual one was closed. The food looked unappealing, it tasted bland. Although it did arrive very fast,

did not order here through choice, cathay princess was closed until September. atleast we now know never to order from here again the food has nothing on its competitor

First time I’ve ordered from here and purely because of the amount of good reviews. Won’t be ordering again from here! Firstly my drink was missing from my order, the pancake rolls were tough with very little filling, sweet n sour chicken was tough, chewy and very tasteless, the rice was the only thing that was ok. Overall very disappointing!!!!

started using this restaurant regularly and always enjoyed it. tonight the chips were so burnt we couldn’t even eat them, tasted like they’d been cooked 3 times over, rest of the food was only slightly warm but ok-ish. unfortunately we will not be using again after this.

Ordered via just eat, the delivery time was fast and portion sizes are massive, however food was pretty average on the whole. My partner ordered crispy chicken with fruity sauce and said it was actually the worst chicken he’d ever had from a Chinese, way too dry and no seasoning at all. I had the special chow mein and it was just ok really.

We always use Sue’s kitchen as it’s the best Chinese Takeaway we’ve tried (and we have tried a lot 🙊) Unfortunately tonight was a different experience. The food was half an hour late with no contact from the restaurant (the delivery driver did apologise when he arrived though) The food was also not to the usual standard. The chicken was chewy, the black bean sauce was watery with little flavour apart from the chilli. The rice was claggy (if that makes any sense?!) and to top it off everything was covered in oil - the plastic boxes, the bags, the box, the pancake roll was swimming in it. This experience was really out of the ordinary for Sue’s Kitchen so we are going to give it another try and hopefully it will improve next time.

Always excellent food and service from Sue’s. Thailand Tom Yam Soup is the best we’ve ever had.

Second time now we’ve ordered from Sue’s Kitchen. On both occasions the foods been early, piping hot and delicious. The food is simply incredible and some of the Chinese food we’ve ever eaten! By far the best Chinese take out in the area.. Thanks guys for another amazing meal, we’ll be ordering again soon!

Cancelled our order 45 minutes after we placed it. Sue's kitchen and Just Eat are garbage. Will never use either of them again!

Order has been rejected twice now for no reason. Won't bother *attempting* to order from here again. Waste of time!

Food was a little late, but no problem really. What surprised me was the poor food. If I have chinese I get it from here but today it was off. I had some chicken balls and they were dry, cracked and massively overcooked, I got the two best ones out the bag and threw the rest. Curry was nice though.

The food was over greasy. So much fat it was dripping. The prawn toast was burnt. And the chicken balls were greasy on the outside and inside the chicken was so dry like chewing cardboard. Will not be ordering from here again

The food was alright and that was all we can say in it, not too greasy either. It was not the worst but not the best. did the job but really wasn’t anything past that. Driver was friendly and attentive.

The prawn toast and Fu Yung was burnt and the chips were quite soggy
