Food turned up and it was cold and tasted awful, the majority of the food was just vegetables and barely any meat, the order was wrong, I had paid extra for special fried rice and got just a normal egg fried rice wich looked to be a small portion and the same with the chow mein order was completely wrong, terrible place to order from an absolute waste of money, considering we spent 50 to 60 pound for a takeaway what a rip off. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!

We ordered tonight and they got it wrong... So I called them and let's just say that her customer services skills were shocking!!! Firstly she told me I hadn't ordered what I was missing and then she said ahhh yes you did would you like it or do you want to leave it ...so I said please can you deliver it!! Then she called me back and said the chef basically didn't believe me that we didn't have Pete's beef in black beans sauce ...so I said it definitely is that we have here, she then starts going on that I need to speak to the chef to tell him what ingredients there were in the meal we had here and I basically said I wasn't going to do that as I was right she was saying you need to tell him what is in the meal so I reiterated that we order from there a lot and the meal was wrong and said no I want our food and when it's delivered I will send this back and your chef can see it is wrong... She then starts saying she didn't get paid enough to deal with me, I told her that she was been rude and all I wanted was our correct order so she is still refusing and I was angry then she said she just took the orders and couldn't do anything unless I told the chef what we had in our order, I told her what was in it and I said either send the food or give me my money back and she said she couldn't do that and i said whose the boss she said it was the chef So I said I will speak to him then an she said " that's better"!!!! She then came back and said chef said you can have your money back...when we are ready to give it back....I was fuming by this point and I needed to end it here?xxxxxxx

Ordered for delivery a few days ago and was very happy with my food. It was hot and tasty, curry was lovely with nice ingredients. Rice was cooked nice and chips were spot on. Prawn toast was really thick and has a good layer of prawns on the top to, nicely presented in cute little boxes with pandas 🐼 on them, and delivery driver was friendly and polite, I’ll definitely be ordering from here again in the future 😁

I'm pregnant with my second baby now and eating anything lately has been a real struggle. Me and my husband ordered today a few dishes for the first time and I do have to say that the food was delicious (I am a rather picky eater myself). Staff was also very friendly. I would certainly recommend it as a good quick Chinese takeaway 😋 🍜🍚

Best Chinese takeaway/delivery quality ingredient's always hot We have never had a bad meal. Always cater to my needs .. (I'm a fussy cow) fab staff/ chef's. Just a lovely family run take away.

Very dry chicken fried rice the batter on the sweet and sour chicken balls was so thick and doughy only decent thing was the chow mein this place has definitely gone downhill

Tried a local Takeaway, good portions, collected food and could see very busy and popular, when I went to collect food. Food did not feel any thing special.

Ordered from here about 6 weeks ago, the food was excellent. The best Chinese I’ve had in years. The second time the same. Then over the past few weeks the standard has slipped outrageously, the food does not even look the same. Tonight the soup was mediocre at best, the cops overcooked as were the chicken balls but still edible. I ordered duck chowmein and it was inedible, it smelled disgusting. I won’t be ordering again.

I recently received an email from JustEat claiming I had ordered £77.40 of food which I didn’t. Within minutes I had contacted the restaurant to highlight the fraudulent activity and ask them to prevent the customer to collect the food as I had reported it to the police. The restaurant said they can’t do that and then hung up. They are allowing fraud activity to benefit from the payments they received. I am now reporting this further to action fraud and will also request a full refund from this terrible restaurant stating the food didn’t arrive. Do not use. They just want money and don’t care who it’s from

A couple of years ago this would be 5 star but now having to wait one and a half hours for delivery is just insane. Plus everything has started getting very salty and it looks like the oil used has not been changed for a while. Shame because it used to be great.

Ordered a three special roast and only got 2 meats rang the shop and they refused to replace it so got no duck

The three special roast dish does not say anything about comes in bbq sauce on just eat, my partner cannot eat bbq sauce and was very upset, pork chewy, ribs shocking and it spoiled my daughters birthday take away

Oh dear i used to like this chinese but i probably had the worse meal ive had in a long time. Apart from it arriving luke warm, The Hong Kong chicken sounded lovely but was just plain battered very over cooked rubbery thin strips of chicken. The prawn crackers yet again overcooked with an unappetizing brown tinge to them . It just was not nice at all

we ordered black bean chicken at £4.60,beef satay £4.80,chicken crispy balls with sweet sauce £4.70,egg fried rice £2.00 and 2xprawn crackers at £1.40 each total £18.90 was charged £21.30 no prawn crackers deliverd.when phoned shop to complain about pricing and short order the girl wasnt interested in rectifying mistake.and quoted we are still the cheapest in town.We wont be ordering from them again and future customers should be aware of there over pricing.we got there menu prices of there website.

Coming from Birmingham staying in a nearby hotel. Tried this takeaway and it was wonderful! I recommend the "Jill Yuen Chicken Wings" and Young chow fried rice. The food was prepared promptly and didn't have to wait long. Lovely chatty staff. My only critique would be the floors were a bit slippy inside. Will come back next time I'm in Long Eaton! Previously happy customer, now very disappointed. Ordered £25 worth of food which took over an hour to arrive. When it did, there were no free prawn crackers and we found the order was wrong: the kung po vegetables had been switched for sweet and sour vegetables. The spare ribs were all broken up and covered in fat and gristle, and the egg fried rice smelled like old oil. Most of it went in the bin, sadly.

We have ordered from here many times and it is our favourite place to order Chinese, the best we can find in the LE area. Unfortunately had a slight issue where on NYE we ordered at 4pm, and they waited 4 hours (20 minutes before delivery) and then cancelled our order which was a really bad experience especially as we are such long term customers but other than this, I can’t fault the food generally.

What a shocking place! The driver couldn’t find us so 30 mns after they called us (they were 5mns or less from our house) I called the restaurant to be told we can’t find you so will cancel your order! They did not refund us so called back again. After telling him that our son won’t have any food he offered to deliver us himself in 20mns and will refund half the money. Bear in mind the driver called us over 30 mins ago. I agreed but made sure he is bringing us fresh food. After asking him 3 times he then said he is refunding us and put the phone down. Not only we don’t have our food to eat the guy on the phone was very rude. I have put 1 star but if I could I would put minus! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!

This is the first time I have ordered from Happy House and I'd definitely order again. The food was good,big portion sizes, ordering was easy with Just Eat and the delivery was quick.

Ok good food but needs to clean windows inside and out. Also food rating out of date.

We ordered a takeaway to be delivered as a treat during our lockdown. This food was very tasty, plenty of meat in the two variety special dishes we ordered and all arrived on time. Great.

Food had definitely been reheated as it arrived to my door within 15 minutes of me ordering off just eat. Regrettably ate the food as me and the family were hungry however should of asked them to come and collect it and got my money back. Overall really disappointed and won't be returning or recommending.

Read the reviews from Google and thought this would be a great choice for a Chinese takeaway on a Wednesday evening. Ordered at 6pm received confirmation that the delivery would be at 7:30pm and at 7:45 called to ask politely if the order had been received and it's status - was told it was with the driver and apologies for the delay - then received a message from Just Eat saying delivery will be at 20:25....guess what no delivery! called Just Eat and got told that Happy House had requested another 55 minutes for delivery....but I'd already been told it was in car!!!!! Never ever again! Sorry Happy House please be honest!

Always have enjoyable meals from here. The English driver is polite and prompt. Food is always hot tasty and enjoyable. Usually plenty to share as well as for one. Tend to find for one you can make 2 meals if choose a variety. Many times in the past I've popped in and receive fast good service and have even been given small discounts if I've been short. A Chinese I've used many times over the years. Cant think of any complaints apart from when it closes lol

Pretty much always had good food and service here, only had one mistake on the order which did spoil our evening, but it hasn't happened since. Highly recommended.

1st of all it took well over an hour for the order to arrive. When it did arrive the delivery guy did not seem to care that the order was late. I ordered duck a l'orange. It was lookwarm at best and had very little sauce or meat. What sauce there was, seemed more like fresh orange juice. I would give this place a wide berth.

Waited over an hour and half and when I called not one person could speak English. When I asked where my food was the woman replied with, I'll call you back. No you will not love we want our £56 back. NEVER USE AGAIN

Friendly and efficient service, generous portions and tasty food. A bit too much green pepper in my meal, so I'll be going back soon and asking for them to leave it out - they're so nice I'm sure that won't be a problem.

Doesn't look very clean, but the rice could do with some improvement, the noodles was not to bad.

We tried here on a whim after not having had a decent Chinese take away in years and wow, what can I say? delicious!!!! We would definitely recommend numbers 19 and 20 and the chow mien is excellent too. Thanks Happy House!

100% the best Chinese takeaway in Long Eaton! The food is always fresh and hot when delivered and has amazing flavours! If you like spicy food the jil yuen dishes are amazing! Especially the jil yuen chips that are a must when ordering from here! Never had a bad meal and always recommend when people asking!

I used to love this Chinese and wouldn't go anywhere else. Used to have one every week. Then suddenly on my last four takeaways they constantly got my order wrong and things were missing. I rang up about this and on two occasions they replaced what was missing. The last time I went there is had two things missing. Chicken balls and king prawn with ginger and spring onions. So I rang up and they said it had been sent. Anyway it fastly progressed to the lady calling me a liar in the back ground whilst the young girl told me what was being said. They said they were checking cctv to see if it had been sent or not to which I said fine. The response was they had been sent so I went down with a pocket full of cash just to show them I don't need to rip people off for 10 quids worth of Chinese food. I was made to pay again but had to as these were the bits my kids like. We stayed away from this Chinese for ages and started to go to little bridge which is he established Chinese in long Eaton by the way until they were shut whilst on holiday so went happy house again(months later) and the food had really gone down hill.. sloppy service. Sloppy manners and food has really gone down hill.

We usually use a different Chinese Takeaway but we passing this one on the way home and gave it a chance. Friendly welcome, good choice of menu and when we got the food home it was very good. Plenty of it, lots of meat in it - great.

By far the best Cantonese we've had in Long Eaton.
