Great little real ale / craft beer establishment, well worth popping in

It can be a bit pricey but it's an amazing place I highly recommend visiting suds and soda ( it's dog friendly as well)

Always a great selection of beers on keg with a wide selection of styles. The beer fridges are always well stocked and full of interesting styles from local breweries and further a field. The tap takeovers are always great and their own beer festivals are wonderful. The people who work there are always knowledgeable and happy to advise.

Wonderful little micropub in Derby

Some excellent beers. The prices are very top end but if you get a good beer it’s worth paying the extra. The owners have learned about their beers and are generally very knowledgable. Could do with a bigger selection of ciders as they only seem to have a couple of local Darley abbey ciders.

Suds and Soda is a friendly. Intimate little bar serving a wide variety of bottles. Cans and keg ales. Whether drinking alone or in company customers are made to feel one of the family. Most customers are of the younger generation of ale drinkers but all are made welcome. Highly recommend a visit.

Great cosy place with a really good selection of beers. The atmosphere is nice and sometimes you can watch livestream of otters or the marble Olympics, so that's a winner for me.

A good selection of ales and other drinks, relaxed atmosphere but a little pricey! Didn't try food so can't comment.

There aren't many pubs like this in Derby any due to brewery owned chains/restaurant-pubs. It's nice to have something different ❤️

Great atmosphere, lots of bottled craft beer. The beer on tap are expensive, but you can get a sip to try so not to make a informed decision.

Interesting little place with some cracking beers. Can be a touch expensive but hard to have that kind of stock and keep prices down. I will certainly drop in again.

Small but incredibly well stocked craft beer bar, beer styles including IPA, NEIPA, PA, stout/Imperial stout & lager are all on tap all available in 1/3, 1/2, 2/3 and 1 pint. There's also a large selection of cans and bottles to drink in or take out including limited editions and rare versions with an emphasis on American breweries. Soft drinks, wine and spirits are also available as are hot drinks. A fairly extensive range of toasted and cold sandwiches are also available alongside waffle fries and the standard range of bar snacks. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly, overall a relaxed atmosphere with a noticeable lack of idiots.

Nice little pub, friendly bar staff and it had a nice atmosphere. However the toilets let's this place down, they need a little maintenance.

Attended a Beer Tasting event on Saturday, 15th August, hosted by Tom and Josh who run the place. A fantastic event that allowed us to try 8 new beers from a mixture of sours, NEIPA and American Pale Ales. I would highly recommend this experience (pre-booking is essential) as it's a great opportunity to try new stuff, learn about the process of brewing different beers and have a laugh. 5 stars.

The staff know their stock and give good recommendations. Not much at the malty end of the scale, but loads of IPAs and sours, if you're into such liquids.

My favourite place for a special beer or two :)

Went here on a works night out, really really warm! I assume it's because of a lack of space and lots of people crammed on benches. A good place to go if you like alternative beer, cider etc but everything was too strong for me. My alcoholic friends liked it though.

Great drinks with a great environment to boot. Recommend it to everyone who fancies an interesting drink.

Nice little place. Good selection of beer on tap and canned/bottled but one of the cans I bought was three months past its best before date. I liked the rock music.

They do occasionally sell Lemon Curd Sour ale. Sounds bad, but it isn't, it's a revelation if you like sours. I hope it's on if you go. Noisy club across the street gives great people watching opportunities. How the other half live...

Suds and Soda is my favourite place in the whole of Derby to have a sit and a drink. The ever-changing draught range is always top-notch, with usually at least one stout, one lager, one cider and one sour beer on top of the other 4 rotational lines and 2 permanent keg lines. The staff are fantastic and always happy to help with a recommendation, and I do love watching out of the big windows at the rest of the world coming past. The bottled/can range is great, there's always something Hard to Find knocking about, so we always end up taking something home, too. See you soon, Suds!

I always gravitate towards this place on a night out. It's not a pub but it has a good selection of beers and ciders and it's nice if you want to chat to your friends instead of shout at them

Derby's best city centre craft bar. Always a great selection of craft beers available in bottles, cans and on tap. I like the selection of bar snacks that are available as well. Simply put, if you're looking for craft beers in Derby, you have to visit Suds.

This is a micro pub in the centre of Derby which offers a range of 6 -8 beers on tap and a while range of craft beers in cans and bottles. Its a lovely little bar which has two long tables for about 8 people each (or 10 very close friends) so you quite often share a table with strangers which is great for meeting new people and conversation often flows across the whole bar. The beers are great with a changing array of dark beers, imports and more local beers. Well worth a visit.

There is a wide range of craft beers and ales, which is good if you're into that kind of thing. The staff are also very friendly. Man that place is cramped though! They need to find a bigger venue.

Great little place with lovely ales

A wonderful drinking establishment. A great atmosphere, a brilliant selection of beers and gins, and also a small choose of gluten free beers. Our small group of four were only going to pop in and have the one drink, but stayed for more. This place even supplies board games for you!!! The only downside, if I'm being picky, are the toilets, one of which is so small, even slightly larger people may find it tight. This in my opinion is a very very minor point though. Go in, have a pint and play a board game.

Yeah weird and wonderful beers and ales! With the choices of 1/4 pints so you can really sample everything on draft.

Suds is a really relaxed and friendly place to talk about and try new beers. Tom and Josh who run it are really tuned into what's happening in the craft beer world and sell some really interesting and tasty brews. It can sometimes be a little on the expensive side, but a lot of these beers can't be bought many other places!
