Disappointing Experience Due to Homophobic Door Staff I recently visited Subway and unfortunately, my experience was marred by the behaviour of the door staff. While the club had previously made a positive move by firing homophobic security personnel, it seems that history is repeating itself. The new door staff have begun to exhibit the same unacceptable behavior, targeting and ejecting patrons simply for appearing gay. I was shocked and deeply saddened to witness such blatant discrimination in what should be a welcoming and inclusive environment. It's disheartening to see a place that had once taken steps in the right direction fall back into old patterns. This kind of behavior not only ruins the night for those affected but also creates an unsafe and unwelcoming atmosphere for everyone. I urge the management to address this issue immediately. The club's reputation is at stake, and more importantly, the safety and dignity of its patrons. Until significant changes are made, I cannot recommend Subway to anyone looking for an inclusive and accepting place to enjoy their night out. **Rating: 1/5**

Worst bouncer I have ever encountered in my life. Three of us all fully sober and were denied entry for absolutely no reason. I asked the bouncer to explain his reason for telling us “not tonight” and he completely ignored me. Never in my entire life have I experienced this kind of treatment when trying to enter a club. Maybe you should also consider hiring someone who doesn’t look like Gru from Despicable Me because it’s quite weird unless you’re a minion.

Come if you want your items to be stolen. Coat got stolen due to bad cloakroom. Gave coat to cloakroom and paid fee for the cloakroom. Cloakroom ticket was given back to staff and then was told the staff gave the coat to someone else. Completely unprofessional and when told about this mistake nothing was done and was told it was our own risk. €200+ jacket gone just like that, absolutely unacceptable. Bar staff amazing however doormen attacked a dad just because they could they were rude and aggressive to him because he had shorts on he was polite at first but the doormen was so rude and aggressive.the dad called him a dick etc the doormen as dad was walking away called a pal who came from door behind and tackled him into the barrier knocking him down.the dad reacted defending hisself and family they held him down and punched hi then backed off so bad noone is stopping there bullying toxic behaviour

Bouncers here are terrible. I went with my friends and was “greeted” by a bouncer with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth and continued to smoke to check our IDs so we were having smoke blown in our face. I can’t see how this is acceptable in any profession, not to mention completely unprofessional. Furthermore, he also refused my friend entry as he “didn’t think it was him” despite his face having not changed in years and looking through his social media. Ridiculous

Terrible. Bouncers refused to let myself and my friends in for no apparent reason. We had not been drinking before this point and were told to “try somewhere else” and when we asked why we weren’t allowed entry we were told “I don’t need to give a reason”. If only there was an option to leave a zero start review.

This place is actually a good time if you can get past the two bouncers who clearly have a superiority complex. The first time we went up to the door, our friend (not from Scotland) was asked a question in which she misunderstood and asked him to repeat. He responded by asking if she “needed her f*cking ears checked” and then proceeded to call her a “stupid b*tch”. He did apologise after saying he thought we were just drunk…as if that would excuse talking to somebody in that manner in the first place. They have been known to throw people out for no rhyme or reason, possibly because the owner likes his customers to look ‘young’. It’s quite frankly embarrassing and cringeworthy when you have middle aged men riddled with anger issues and a severe god complex working the door at a small time student club and acting as if they’re working the doors in Vegas. If subway want to be the welcoming and fun place the claim to be on social media, then they should consider hiring door staff that actually portray this brand image.

Honestly the notoriety and awful reviews don't even scratch the surface with this place. The bouncers here are the worst I have ever seen. We come here all the time because we usually have a great time once inside but its hard to do when your made to feel like crap as your being let in - and that's if your even let in, they regularly refuse entry for no reason. All you can see throughout the night is people having a good time being violently thrown out left right and centre. No reason, no nothing just bam your out and don't ever come back. Its constant, vicious and just makes it awkward for everyone else trying to dance and have a good time. Once outside, you can even see them laughing amongst themselves and taking photos of people they've chucked out and 'banned' just because they feel like it? We're not sure if its personal dislikes they take to, or just relish in some sort of sense authority, but it's genuinely such a shame because the bar staff are so lovely and the music is ace!

As other reviews say, the bouncers here really are something else. Refusing entry for no reason, which is their right, but no need to be so incredibly rude about it. Can’t imagine what the owners must think of refusing people for no reason when the place is absolutely dead on a Saturday night and all their tables are empty! Three bar staff standing around doing nothing cause paying customers can’t get past their rude bouncers. Bouncer also refused to give his name or registration number after putting his hands on my friend. Not good enough really! Don’t waste your time.

Bouncers are rude and are an extrene let down to a fab location. Need to have a talking to about how to speak to customers in a polite and respectful manner.

My wife and I popped in here for a quick drink before heading to a concert. It’s as far removed as the former nightclub it once was. Gone is the dark and dingy cramped interior and in this place is a spacious and fun environment. It’s far more welcoming and you’re able to see right in to the outdoor themed setting it’s got going on indoors. There’s bench’s and booths and it’s cool deal for big groups. There’s also telly screens making it a cracking venue for watching sport. The door staff aren’t as threatening as the bouncers you used to get when it was a club and brief you well on the current Covid guidelines. Me and my wife were the only ones when we first went. Passing it later the bar was packed with a young clientele. It’s a remarkable Improvement on what it was before and an ideal place to go for a big gathering in a laid back and unique setting.

Refused entry 4/7 from Subway as bouncer decided that tonight wasn’t the night. I am girl who arrived to this club with a group of young males. The bouncer discriminated my friends and refused them entry as they were young males. From observation the bouncer did not refuse any young females. Strange, concerning behaviour. Will be taken further. Disgusting man who’s power has went to his head

Rude, didn’t give us all the drinks we paid for and then argued with us about it. Made of MDF. A bit rubbish really! So faux pas darling. Get a grip of yourselves. In the Stormzy shut up. But we will see you next Tuesday. Peace out brother and sisters #threesistersisbetter

Really lovely interior and garden and the drinks were rather nice. However, the treatment from one of the bouncers, he had a big beard and longish hair was unacceptable. Really ruined my night.

such a nice venue with the most wonderful servers but bouncers ruined the whole experience by being utterly rude and horrid. All the negative reviews on open table also focus on the bouncers behaviour and the replies from the company on open table website were similarly rude - even calling some reviewers liars - awful customer service to respond in such a way especially if multiple people are saying the bouncers are horrid and on a power-trip. good prices though…
