Subway Oxford Road in Wigan

Queue was out the door when I got there, but gosh it moved fast and what a lunch break. I took my meatball sub to All Saints park and went all doe-eyed. Cheese, olives and jalapeños for days! Om nom nom, nom nom nom nom. What a lunch break! Also the guy at the check out in a bandana was super lovely and easy on the eye. I’d recommend! Plus the sandwich was good!

the service isn't the fastest possible, but with everything being standardised, the quality of the food is the same no matter which location you are in for a subway

Down to earth surroundings - choice of what type of roll you want to have your filling in [small poster to show you the different types to choose from and you have to state whether you want a six inch roll or twelve inch roll. I had two six inch rolls with assorted fillings, double chocolate chip cookies with two Pepsi colas. Thoroughly enjoyed everything I had, good for a return visit

This branch is located within a University Campus Area. This may be the reason that staff are extremely haphazard with their servings as they are serving mainly students. They do not change their gloves for each customer. Also, the slop the sandwich fillings on to the bread and half of it falls off which doesn't look nice. Staff helpful and friendly but more care needed with serving food. On another note, although the restaurant is wheelchair accessible, there is no space for an actual wheelchair or baby buggy when you go in. There are a few tables, two of which are right by the queue for the counter, so people are knocking you while you eat and they queue. Cramped and uncomfortable.

Overall, a typical subway restaurant. The staffs there was nice and they were very polite. it was a takeaway, so not much issue of finding a seatt etc...

It took 15 minutes to prepare 3 large veg rolls. It was a warm after noon and there was not many customers in this outlet. At my turn 15 minutes were consumed I felt that it was too slow.

I've been to many subway shops around greater Manchester but this was my first visit to the Oxford Road branch. The service was very fast and friendly and even happy to redeem my subway points for a six inch sub and drink without a problem. They even pointed out the most expensive sub I could have for free when using my points. As it happened I only wanted the meatball sub but nice of them to try to save me the most money. Highly recommend this subway.
