Jack the barista is wonderful, he’s always happy to help and great with customers. The cafe is always clean and speedy service with a smile , my favourite costa

This shop has a nice friendly atmosphere, staff are brilliant, and a comfy couch, what more would you need

Service is slow..no offers on breakfast like everywhere else I go due to franchise managers request .Noisiest Costa Coffee I've ever been in especially with mums after kids school drop off

Always a decent coffee here Mocha is always my go to, friendly staff members especially while it's early start.

Need to train their staff to smile.. stopped going as the staff don't seem to understand basic customer service

My favourite Costa. Staff so friendly and cant do enough for you. The layout is good, ive worked from there a couple of times and its fairly quiet. I find most costa toilets not cleaned enough but this was is very good.

You have to give this one a try at Costa.. their hot milkshakes..the strawberry and white chocolate is absolutely delicious definitely hits the spot..shout out to the amazing staff at my local Costa

Typical Costa in Wigan. The staff are sullen, the tables are very rarely cleared, meaning customers have to do it themselves and the toilets are an absolute disgrace. The only saving feature is the coffee

Nice place to get a variety of hot or cold drinks from for dine in or take away.

Food is cold. Extras in hot chocolate have melted as its taken so long to get here

Disappointed as the breakfast deals tea and toast have now been stopped due to new year and that Costa are introducing new drinks !so for myself and a friend itl now cost 10 40 instead of 8 50 ..getting way too expensive

Ordered a millionaires shortbread and did recieve it, disappointing.

We regularly visit the Ashton Costa as it's a handy spot to do a bit of shopping and pick up the children from school. The staff are really friendly and are really polite. My boys often go there after school and the staff are great with them.

Redeem my free coffee and buy a cake In discount by a discounted gift card. A cracking deal of just spend £2. Food quality no problem. But stain/marks in forks & knife.

Got the order wrong with the gluten free item.

Nice drinks but no topping and I asked for it, it’s meant to be on top of frappe but wasn’t! Even left a restaurant message

Bacon full of fat, drink size reduced by about a third even though same price charged and completely missed of the millionaire shortbread that i paid for

Ordered frappes, came with no straws.. it’s simple to put a straw in a bag ..

I got two of the boba drinks and there was no popping balls

Bread quite hard on my toastie and bacon was quite chewy. Lemon drizzle cake was nice though.

Yet again an item that I paid for wasn't including even though it cost £4.25 (for the second time and it isn't cheap. Also the topon my drink was split so when it was lifted out of the bag it split further and fell all over the floor. Therefore Costa have had in total about £14 off me for nothing. Disgraceful !!!!!!

Took myself and family to Costa Monday 19th February. Shop was very busy but even though the staff was busy and rushed of their feet they made us feel welcome. The lady on the coffee machine Nicola I think her name is mad the best flat white I’ve tasted in a while. All staff polite will be definitely returning

Coffee was good as usual with Costa, but very disappointed with the general upkeep of the seating. We really struggled to find seats that weren't heavily stained, some were awful.

Did not turn up. After driver being “at the restaurant” for 2 hours, just eat have now posted the order as delivered. It wasn’t delivered. Possibly not Costa’s fault and most likely the delivery driver assigned. Not happy at all, no option to let just eat know either. Down £25, no food.

Toastie taste horrible, completely inedible

Coffee was okay, couldn’t taste the caramel in my latte and coffee was quite bitter. The girl on the till with black hair was very rude and unprofessional. When I asked a simple question, of has my ice latte got oat milk in. As I’m vegan and I always check with whoever hands me my drink. Instead of saying no I’m sorry I will make you a fresh one. She instead argues with me, saying you didn’t ask for oat milk.. with an attitude. Thankfully it was swiftly sorted my another member of staff who apologised.

£15 for 2 coffees and 1 chocolate shortbread just to have the chocolate packed directly against the cup and be completely melted before it had even arrived. Shocking yet again

Food was freezing cold and delivered late

Used to come here regularly but the coffee (espresso) is rank. It's ok if you're having your coffee smothered in milk, but very bitter without. Have tried again a few times in the last couple of months but it's still horrid. A shame, because it's a good vibe, it's in a handy place and the staff are nice. I've switched to Costa at Tesco instead. Better espresso.

Went today and every table had dirty cups on them. It wasn't really busy. Service incredibly slow. Need to speed up and clean up!

Food was freezing cold and rock hard

Was all good but let down by the cup lids that were not secure. Not the fault of staff, all down to the cups. Meant coffee was spilt and couldn’t drink out of them without drips.

Went on to Ashton in Makerfield today the service was fantastic the Staff are very friendly the shop its self was very clean would highly recommend to my friends and family

Good service, nice coffee. Quiet(ish) ambiance. Was not busy at time of visit - 13:00. Inside, very clean and hygienic, outside not so much.

Staff are always lovely, best Costa I have been to by far

Staff are friendly, helpful and provide efficient service. The interior design of the place could be much better: no comfortable armchairs; no blinds on the windows; poor acoustics which can lead to the place becoming very noisy; very uncomfortable chairs, even the fixed, cushioned bench along a back wall is very uncomfortable to sit on for more than a few minutes. The place suffers from the usual type of people found, unfortunately, in most public spaces today, speaking loudly on mobile phones or watching videos on screens without using earphones (astonishing how so many people can be so rude and oblivious to their surroundings!). Avoiding busy times is a must to enjoy a coffee provided by the very pleasant staff.

Served decaff coffee which was good for me. Also convenient as were able to take our dogs in. Pity that dogs will no longer be welcome in Costa cafes in 2020 January. When on holiday you cant just leave your dogs behind so it is good to have a dog friendly hostelry. I do understand that not everyone likes dogs.

Brilliant that this place allows dogs.......if you go to Scotland or the Lake district, everywhere is dog friendly. As long as your pup is well behaved and clean, its a good idea.Good place for a stop off when walking my dog. X

We were delighted when Costa came to Ashton-in-Makerfield, our home town, as we have been Costa fans for many years. We have visited the Ashton store once or twiice a week since it opened and have always found it pleasant with friendly staff. However we were horrified this week to find that they are now allowing dogs into the store, which is stricktly against Costa's policy of only allowing Assistance dogs. We are also concerned about hygene and Health and Safety issues. Until they revoke this policy we will no longer feel comfortable visiting this store.

I have been a regular customer here since opening. The staff are welcoming, helpful and friendly. Always a nice atmosphere and a great place to take time out with excellent food and coffee. If you are in the area don't hesitate to call in.

Always reluctant to go into other coffee shops in Ashton as they all seem to be a little on the dirty side, but I'm delighted by this one. Bright and airy, plenty of space even for a business meeting, and really cheerful staff. And of course, decent coffee (although I prefer the hot chocolate)
