Fresh tasty food and friendly staff, I couldn't ask for more

Says closing time is 8pm but in reality it should be 7.30pm as staff clear all food away and have nothing to offer to paying customers, bit shoddy really.

Called in this morning for breakfast whilst my wife had a hospital appointment. Had the breakwich was very enjoyable 5/5. The young lady serving was friendly and helpful 5/5. I was the only customer so the atmosphere was very quiet, however I don't mind that. Overall excellent and 5/5.

Staff don't allow customers to design their own sandwich. Went in for a sandwich and got told it's a set menu when Subway's policy allows customers to modify the menu

Hubby and I stopped here for a bite to eat before driving home after a day out. It’s early evening in October and so it was starting to get dark and we were using Google Maps for directions but we still drove past it the first time! It’s very hard to see! It sounds bizarre because it’s right on a corner but the Subway sign wasn’t lit up on either facade, and the lights from inside were so dim it looked closed! The car park was empty too which didn’t help. Once we parked up and went in we realised that the big windows are mirrored from the inside which massively cuts down the light visible from outside - that’s why it looked closed! Anyway, I have to say we were greeted by both staff with a big smile and a friendly welcome, which was great :) It was very welcoming and they were chatty and friendly whilst still being efficient preparing our food. We each chose the Fine Catch tuna salad and it was really good! A great portion! There were a few other people in after us so obviously regulars don’t have any trouble finding it :) The restaurant was very clean and the staff were friendly as we left too. Thanks guys, great job :) Please ask Head Office to put bulbs in your outdoor Subway signs though - you might pick up some extra business :)

After a terrible day in work with my lorry breaking down miles from homeand other things going wrong too, I visited the Clifton Moor store in York, and not only were ALL the staff especially Danny extremely friendly, helpful and understanding, to top it off the person in front heard me complaining about the day I'd had and paid for my meal without me knowing, the whole experience totally lifted my spirits after an awful day, 11 out of 10!!!!

Food was great. Tables were not cleared quickly considering they were quiet with customers. Dirty floor.

Food is always good. Prices are getting crazy though. Also, I always ask for the sandwich to be cut with a clean knife as I have a serious allergy, but they never properly clean the knife. This could end badly.

Nice clean subway, friendly staff and good portions. The drinks dispenser didn't have the cherry max so had to have a bottle, but the food was nice and fresh.

Aktualizacja😊. Zmiana osób zatrudnionych wniosła bardzo pozytywną zmianę. Obsługa "prawie" cala uśmiechnięta i chętna do pomocy. Jedzenie- jak zawsze- świeże. Prawie wszystkie aspekty na 5, bo mimo wszystko....mało sałaty. Parking w godzinach szczytu zwykle zajęty, ponieważ jest spory ruch, jednak szybko następuje rotacja samochodów, więc nie ma tragedii. Stoliki, po 4 krzesła przy każdym, więc przyjazne rodzinom 3+. Pozdrawiam i oby tak dalej. 😊

This is a good Subway, always good service. They did miss out my sweet onion sauce but it was fine without.

Ok but not something I would have again - unless I was desperate

Turned up at 19.00 ordered my sub. The young lad asked if I wanted anything else’s I asked for a coffee he said no the coffee machine had been cleaned. So I said well I want the meal deal and I don’t want a cold drink I could see it was still on so mention this and he said we ain’t allowed to touch it once cleaned I replied why would you shut it off a hour before closing? Well we actually turn it off at 18.00. Looking confused at the fact they stop serving coffee 2 hours before closing so I said well I don’t want my sandwich then if I can’t have a meal deal. He stormed in the back like a sulking toddler so I walked out! Your loss not mine. The eating in part shuts at 18.30 too! My experience rude staff, offering things from the menu that they can’t fulfil, if you want to eat in go to a proper restaurant and save your money. McDonald’s down the road! And it’s cheaper. £11 for a sub meal deal having a laugh you can get a large meal from McDonald’s burger and fries with a drink is £8 😂

Really Unhelpful staff, hanging around to be served, over priced food. Never again. You’ve been warned Atmosphere resembles a dead pet cemetery I paid £10.65 for a 6inch meal and got told they couldn’t give me a refund. The food I just binned, I didn’t feel like eating after I was robbed. This shows the staff didn’t care. Subway never again

We went for snack and chat there. It was clean, staff are polite and nice atmosphere.

Place is clean, and is a pretty good subway, all staff are nice except for the girl at the counter who had a bit of an attitude.

Great for lunchtime snacks but can get rather busy

It's a Subway. The standard is always good in just about every Subway I've been in. The staff were helpful, just a bit slower than others from experience and some staff may have been new as I'd not seen them before. The ingredients were fresh and of an expected standard. I enjoy a Subway and look forward to more in the future.

Took my money over the app then closed the shop early what a joke. Emailed in about a refund a no reply back customer service is a joke!

Decent and lovely staff. Reasonable food and some good vegetarian options. Only problem is the inconsistency of the hours advertised on here, a few times I’ve been turned away from dining in at 1800.

Great food but staff were a little short with me and drowned my salad in sauce when I only asked for a little.

First time back in many months because of the Covid situation, but a very warm welcome and great service. Will call in again next time I'm in the area....

Great customer service, 3 lovely ladies behind the counter, super accommodating of celiac disease and allergen aware. Changing gloves to prevent CC whilst making my sandwich. Overall positive experience from start to finish, which is rare when you have dietary requirements! Well done girls 🙂

Want to get the world's worst sandwich made. Come here. You quite literally have the bonus of having to remake the sandwich that was meant to be made for you. Bonus! The server heated my sandwich up before completing a huge takeaway order so by the time I got my sandwich it was cold. In addition. Who trained the guy who was putting my salad on the sub to apply the sauce on the outside of the inside of the sandwich. Mayo was literally everywhere but inside the sandwich by the time I got to open it. Haha so bad. On top of that the staff was rude didn't seem to really care. If there was an option to submit 0.25 of a star I would.

Not been to a Subway for a while but this didn't let me down! Staff were friendly and efficient and there was a great choice of food albeit prices have gone up but that's the same everywhere! Definitely recommend!

I asked a member of staff a question about the allergen information leaflet in the Clifton Moore shop and I was told they are not allowed to give advice regarding allergies... But I was asking a question about an item on the information leaflet in their shop! No member of staff was able to even talk about it. Unreal, I would go as far as calling it criminal to be completely oblivious about the information your shop provides regarding allergens.

Service painfully slow and bread tasted like it was yesterdays :-(

Fast and friendly with great food

Food is always nice, but it was a bit dirty.

Customer service needs improving. Told 3 different staff members the order, one still had to ask what I was paying for, which you'd think they would know, and they still got it wrong. Didn't realise until I'd got home that the kids meals were missing a drink and a yoyo bear. The staff lacked the basic skills of smiling, please and thank yous, confidence and knowledge in their own products. Food was ok though.

Had the steak cheese footlong meal deal with potato crispers.... bad choice...bad description because if they were crisp then what a crock! Flabby cold unappetising my salad part of the footlong was done by a Newby......we have all got to learn but the filling wasn't in the sandwich anymore it was in the wrapper..... had to ask 3 times for the cup for the drink.......sadly disappointed when normally it is good....

This is NOT A SUBWAY. I went in and asked for a Subway, they told me they only do architectural plans. Maybe I - or Google - should have known this from the fact it says DSP Architects on the building and not Subway...

Ask for server to change gloves if vegetarian! Very quiet location for store but still have a wait.

The subway in Acomb is fantastic, however the one in clifton Moor is a bit unpredictable. Sometimes great other times my salads and sandwiches are just thrown together

Ordered via Subway app to collect, was ready at scheduled time. Nicely presented and included all the items I wanted, collection was simple and highly recommended!!

Very efficient service and food fresh and tasty. Only thing with all subways is that all the meat appears to be processed, not good. Eating the vegan option solves that.

Clean place with friendly and helpful staff. I had a breakfast sub and I don't know how they do it but it had poached egg in it with some runny yolk, perfection. I should have taken a picture but I just couldn't wait to tuck in. Not cheap but worth it.

Convenient location for people working on the business park, or living in nearby Clifton Moor. Restaurant is very clean inside with some seating. Staff are also friendly and happy to help with queries on allergens. Only issue with this place is that it can get very busy around lunchtime - so make sure to visit away from peak times!

Went today with 3 people behind counter, but not working well at all. Went with my partner who also felt the same. Ordered a pizza sub to be told it is supposed to be just a half a slice (no top). Went on to say oh no I don't want that I'll have a normal sub, but then she proceed to make a pizza one? So why say it only comes with one side of bread. Guy putting salad on the sub had no idea what he was doing also. Then a third person on till wasn't even paying attention enough to know what we got! We were the only 2 in line so it's not as if they were under pressure either. After all that the sub just wasn't great. Not generous enough with the cheese and then made really shoddy.

Cleanest subway on planet earth. Very quiet outside of lunch time.

Poor customer service, expect long waiting times, staff seem to struggle with simple tasks. Been coming since it opened, food quality is fine however.

Free parking outside the outlet. They open earlh close late Inc weekends. Fabulous choice of breads and superb selection of fillings with a loyalty card. I love Subway.

This subway is always quiet, has loads of seating and always seems to have fresher bread and salad than other subways. Always go to this one!

I love a Subway. This one is easy to get to, clean and dedicated parking.

Usually a big fan of subway. Never had any issues from other stores but my dad came last week for a quick bite with my mum and wound up with food poisoning.
