The gentleman who made our food was really helpful. My son and I hadn't used the new self ordering screens before and our order was quite personalised. He came over and was really helpful and kind without rushing us. He explained it clearly and the food was lovely. Thank you.

⭐ 1 Star – Terrible Service from Night Shift Staff Indian guy.(Gujrati) I had a really bad experience at Victoria Road Subway last night due to the rude and unprofessional behavior of the night shift worker. I was picking up two orders, and instead of properly indicating which drink belonged to which order, he just handed them to me and told me to figure it out myself because he was "too busy" making another order. When I pointed out that it's his responsibility to ensure orders are properly handed over before I take them to customers, he got defensive and outright rude. He even insulted me, saying I was illiterate and didn’t know how to read, which is completely unacceptable. Instead of taking responsibility for his mistake, he acted like I was the problem. This is not the kind of service anyone should have to deal with. Subway should seriously consider training their staff better or hiring people who actually respect customers and delivery workers. I won’t be coming back to this location anytime soon.

The screens are an incredibly stupid option, no accessibility and limits what you can order so much, people in wheelchairs were completely an afterthought additionally, the accessible bathrooms red Cord has been CUT, this is absolutely disgusting. The support bars were broken and unusable. the food itself was okay, took a while to receive our small order, and the food was cold when we received it.

Everywhere in the shop was absolutely disgusting. Tables were dirty. Floors were wet and dangerous Rude staff. Had to clean our own table since they aren't able to do their jobs properly. Disappointed by this Subway. Unacceptable as wasn't professional and asked to leave if we weren't happy eating at a dirty uncleaned table. Deserves this 1 star and that's a fact.

Unfortunately asked for double cheese and toasted on my chicken and bacon BBQ sub only to find he's out a load of brie in there ?? Why that's not what I asked for thanks for ruining my dinner we won't bother with woolston again !!

Really slow service, one person serving.. waited almost 15minutes to be served. Very very rude staff, didn’t even tell me the total of my order, luckily I checked the card machine total. The lady server is not happy to be there and every request gives you disapproval look. She didn't even wait for sub to toast properly so ended up with dry, cold bread. Never again

It was great after a day out and can’t be bothered to cook Subways are always on form. Always exactly the way you want it. It as a little warm but expected as delivered.

I used to work in this store and it was bad but since it's been done up it's gotten much better the food is nice and the service is good you get served almost straight away but the staff aren't very chatty the atmosphere is nice

Ordered off deliveroo early in the morning - absolutely best subway we've had. Not simple orders either we had 2 x big custom meals and everything was perfect. Whoever was on shift at 23:00-01:30 you're doing bits. Thank you!

It's a Subway, you can't really say much more about it then that. The owner of this branch is a really nice guy. The guy who mainly works the front, is really friendly and the sandwiches are made the way you would expect. I can't fault them over the years I have been there. The atmosphere down rating is purely from it being a subway aha but it's clean and well a subway.

Usually adequate but tonight was dreadful. Was not toasted as ordered, all items turned up cold - either that or the driver's bag must of been open on the ride over. Meatball marinara was missing the bacon I paid extra for and to top it off the bag says "enjoy free cookie...🙂" there is NO free cookie. The free cookie usually is missing to be honest and I let it slide but tonight the stings a bit more, y'know considering I don't get the freebie and I don't get the bacon I paid for. 😭

Ordered two foot-long subs with cheese and toasted via Just Eat - when the subs arrived, they were cold, untoasted, and no cheese on either. Have tried calling the restaurant on two different numbers and neither number works. Very annoyed and will not be ordering from this location again.

No cheese on either of our subs - very disappointing!

The food was disappointing. Quality is not at it's best. The sausage meat was not very good and there wasn't the ability to customise breakfast.

Order was on time however nachos were below average. £4 difference in side order and part of meal deal, but both came the same size and both were rubbish. Also 2 foot long sandwiches were not cut in half.

Not the greatest Subway - staff always seem a bit rushed and distracted. Always seem to be prioritising Deliveroo orders over customers stood in front of them. Having said that, it's still a Subway so a good option for lunch!

the filling on the sub had been piled on so all the steak was in the middle of my foot long sub. The same could be said for the rest of the filling, it had all just been chucked in without any care and sent out.

I had travelled to Southampton after an hr drive and decided to stop off for lunch. My husband ordered me a steak and cheese sub, when I opened it up it was all bread and salad with three pieces of meat. Fast forward to our drive home and my stomach began to cramp and that evening ( having nothing else to eat) I had diarrhoea and vomiting with shakes/sweats and shivers. I did this review in the hopes that precautions are made and this doesn’t happen again .

Food was toasted but ice cold when delivered, so maybe they made it before a driver was assigned im not sure. Gluten free bread tastes awful cold so was disappointing, hard to swallow as bone dry, found they were very tight with salad and barely any sauce which made the sandwich very dry. They gave me a free cookie which was nice, but as I'm ordering gluten free should have been a clue I cant eat cookies, so it ended in the bin, hate wasting food. £19 for a foot long , some hashbrowns and a bottle of drink was extortionate, especially as it wasn't good quality. Maybe this type of food isn't best delivered and more appropriate to have in house. Cant recommend.

I think the person who just made my sub either can't read or has just had enough of making subs for one day! I asked for 4 different salads and mayo and got a dried of bit of bread with a bit of chicken in and nothing more, was pretty hungry so ate it anyway but definitely the worst sub I've had in my life!

Walked in, asked for one of the pre set subs that Subway are doing now as didn’t have time to plan it. Was immediately told couldn’t pick which bread I wanted just plain. But later on they let me add sauce in that wasn’t pre set without issue? Guy kept trying to explain to me and I had to ask to repeat because I didn’t get a word he said. They didn’t include all the ingredients of the steak and cheese so it was a very sad sub when I opened it up. Worse still, server didn’t even cut the foot long and it was very flat! They’d squished the bread by pressing it rather than just closing he sandwich gently. I was hungry so I ate it, and well I only opened it when I got back home. I was on a lunch break. I wouldn’t have had time to go back and complain. When I asked for it to be toasted the server started talking to me about why he did or didn’t do it?? But again hard to understand just asked him to toast it repeatedly after finished speaking about whatever they were saying and eventually he did toast it. Really sad it was almost £12 for a meal like this. Subway tends to differ from place to place with these pre set subs…some let you customise them out of courtesy still which is great, and some prefer to use zero initiative and say order a make your own with no flexibility to customise: and I get that, I’ve been in this line of work before. You do what you’re told etc. but this weird in between of offering no option to change the ingredients or bread but add extra sauces and have the opportunity to “challenge” the server to toast the sub which needs to be heated/toasted because it has cold mozzarella to heat up … it’s really infuriating. Just asked me to pay, didn’t confirm the price. Wondering why I’m not giving this a 1? Because that would need to be a ridiculously dire situation, I don’t review like a child. The air con in the building on a very hot day, and them charging the correct price may have also scored a half point out of pity for the store. Really don’t get how the quality dropped so much. Used to live here years ago and the subway was fine then. Abysmal now though. Skip this one, go somewhere where people actually are competent enough to serve you what you ask for and know at least basic Subway etiquette . Maybe like the city centre ones (yes, don’t laugh, but they’re pretty good for serving) One last complaint, the mozzarella put in the sub was still cold after toasting ! Just took it out in the end.

Quality disgusting - looked like food just throw in the baguette, hot food was cold. Delivery shocking after nearly two hours after ordering arrived at 21,11 pm . Did try to call for update of delivery after an hour but phone line kept cutting off. I would like a full refund food was only fit for the bin.

Subs was meant to be toasted and they really seem like they was, it was all very cold, the crinkles wasn’t cooked properly half cooked at most, couldn’t eat them. Only nice thing was given an extra cookie with the 3 we already purchased.

Absolutely minging. Arrived early so I can only assume the sub was sat OK the shelf/ un a fridge. Reheated half, and then thought this isn't worth my time or money.

Recently refurbished place. Looks nice. We've been there a couple of times. Last visit was a bit bitter the bank-card reader did not work at all. Not just for us but other people also couldn't pay by card. We had to find an ATM to withdraw some cash. The guy who served us was kind and I was really sorry for him for this unfortunate thing. We tried the new series but didn't like the taste. I wish the meat free balls would come back. That's not the place's decision, obviously. I am disappointed in the new series. (Vegan, vegetarian) When I wanted to add more veggies to my sandwich he expressed that this one is coming with only onion and don't remember what else. I asked "so we're not allowed to get more salad?" And he confirmed. The best thing in Subway that the sandwiches are /could be always rich in salad/veggies. That's why I am not going to MCD or BK. Not anymore. Another negative feedback to Subway that my hubby did some surveys to Subway and they promised him 200 points on his Subway card, never arrived. Shame because I always preferred Subway then other fast food chain
