Subway in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Absolutely disgusted with the service. A family member is coeliac and has a GF blt each time he's been and was told the other night that it was part of the breakfast menu. Wasn't able to make it as a create your own either. We then asked for a GF cheese and bacon sub but it couldn't be made on the gf bread. The menu and service was appalling

Staff seems as though they can't be bothered if they serve you or not

Visited twice during our week long stay at the travelodge. Both times we went we had great service and the food was fresh, quick and tasty. We couldn’t get their names but the first time we were serviced by somebody with blue ear piercings and the second time by a woman with their name beginning with ‘D’ (I think Debbie) Didn’t get a good look at their names but both were friendly and thorough with getting our order correct ❤️.

! AVOID AVOID AVOID! If I could give zero stars I would, treated like dirt by Debbie the “manager” so rude and told me she would spit in my food! I made a complaint and not heard anything. This place is the worst subway I’ve ever been to. Edit- I cannot believe the reply by Debbie, absolute lies. I was refused service solely cause I wanted all day breakfast sub without egg. Debbie says they “can’t remove the egg” I said “of course you can I’m allergic” And was told “no” “who eats bacon at this time anyway” I was totally shocked, never heard anything like it before, then after some Clarification with her colleague, I was then told “ I’d spit in yours anyway” I can’t believe the lies from Debbie Certainly nobody from Burger King said anything to me. I was annoyed but remained calm and certainly wasn’t abusive! Debbie definitely needs more training. I’ve also never been here before and I certainly would never go back, absolutely worst experience I’ve ever had. I’ve also made a complaint to trading standards, subway, and EG Services. I was treated so disrespectfully and I’m sure it’s because Debbie thinks I’ve been there before and i think has mistaken me for someone else and treated me bad from the start. I went on to another subway 10 mins away and got everything I wanted easily. Just avoid this rude lady at all costs! I don’t make complaints often like Debbie says I’m just doing this for, as you can see my previous reviews, I only review when it’s really really bad. It seems common theme at this one subway where they do t want to make the sandwich you actually want but stick to the menu. Look how bad all the below reviews are and how similar. Very very rude and bad staff!

2 members of staff and quite a que to then get to the counter to find that there's hardly anything there so we had no choice but to leave and find somewhere else

I’ve been staying at the travelodge and the big guy in subway is rude and doesn’t listen to your order wanted bacon and cheese for dinner and ended up with onions on it and apparently he can’t take the onions of because this is The set menu never have I been told in subway that I can’t take an item off as anyone else experienced this rudeness from this guy

Visited yesterday morning and the young girl who served Me was extremely quick and efficient

Extremely rude member of staff which resulted in my wife walking away and left her crying. Gave little to no apology and only when confronted to do so. Will be escalating to head office.

I was in the middle of asking for the Cheese to be removed and then this Fat King Size Jobs Worth with a ear full of piercings, come rolling over and total refused to do it. The fat jobs worth totally refused to removed Cheese from a 6” Sub sandwich saying it against the law to change it. Never heard such rubbish, maybe I should of ate it and then sued the jobs worth, even this colleague that was serving was surprised by him. So I left him flapping his gums while I walk straight to Burger King behind me. You guessed it. I had the cheese removed

30 mins waiting time. 2 staff. One poor soul makes the food whilst the other ambles around in the background trying to look busy. Usually looking anywhere but the huge queue they can't be bothered to tackle. If you want to see an absolute customer service shambles unfolding before you. This place won't disappoint.

Lazy staff, don't open on time. Came 10 minutes past opening time and there is no staff in sight, doesn't look like they will be opening any time soon. Very frustrating after a long drive.

I visited here yesterday with some very hungry kids. The guy serving was clearly new and had literally no idea what he was doing (not totally his fault he obviously had little to no training. The sandwiches he made were just about edible one was burnt and he definitely must of been on rations we had about 5 pieces on sweet corn a sprinkle of salad and drop of mayo. I then asked for coffee, wish I hadn't. Another gentleman appeared he was super rude especially to the other employee rather than helping him and showing him the ropes he just scolded him making the whole experience super awkward for him and myself. I know its only subway but noone should be treated the way this poor guys was treated. Won't be visiting again.

The man who served me was incredibly rude and miserable……he closed the store an hour earlier than what the official closing time is…..shocking!!

The food and service was good the staff were polite and friendly

Absolutely disgusting when a toddler needs a wee and when we asked where the toilets are only to be shut when mentioned to a member off staff very shocking reply off “well do you want them cleaned or not” erm off course but surely not at 10am and they wasn’t been cleaned the shutter was locked but the attitude towards us was shockingly bad make matters worse the order was wrong and had no idea about dietary needs when asked

Its always a pity seeing a run down business,dirty floor,food on tables still from when ever,general disregard for public hygiene.this place could do so much better oh and maybe have a rotor between the burger King and subway staff to sweep up and clean tables..the travel lodge ain't much better.

It seems there is less choice after 5pm. There are never any meat balls so we cannot have the meat feast. This is always not a one off.

Looked like it was closed, only noticed it was actually open when eating next door. Went to order hash browns in morning, but there were none. Foods ok.

Absolutely disgusting place! Definitely needs to be inspected by the food and hygiene services. Had a fly on my sandwich so she made a new one then I seen a dead frozen fly right next to the lettuce. Opened my sandwich up to find a big long hair plus it had seeds in it from the other breads. Will never go there again! 🤢

Convenient stop off the A38 for a sub which is ideal. Staff friendly and helpful.

Systems are always down so can't collect points or you can't use them for free subs and have to pay again. Staff just shrug there shoulders and say we can't help. Do yourself a favour and eat somewhere else

It’s not the staffs fault but they are always out of the vegetarian options, actually they seem to be out of almost everything. I can’t rate it higher because every time I order from this place it gets cancelled. It needs more stock really

Website says they’re open at 8am. However, there was no bread at all at 9am and was told it would be another hour before it would be ready (10am!) and the seating area wasn’t going to be ready until 9.45am. Staff member wasn’t particularly helpful either. Not impressed.

Whilst waiting in line to buy a veggie subway at the carkeel roundabout near to tamar bridge cornwall/devon border . I observed the the server prepare the meal for the customer in front of me who had a footlong meat subway with all the salad, The Lady server who calls herself Nikki put a whole bunch of meat into the subway followed by various salads and tomatoes , because two Of tomatoes slices was in excess on the roll she removed them from the 12 inch roll that already had meat in it and dropped them back i to the tomato box to use for the next customer , i looked in this white plastic box (like a ice cream box) and could see lots of contamination from other salads and meat crumbs , when it was my turn to be served i asked why she put the contaminated tomatoe slices with meat on them back into the box ? She said its policy, I said she shouldn't do this as I am a vegetarian and now forced to avoid the having tomatoes in my subway, she rudely replied " don't tell me how to do my job" I asked for head office number to report the situation and she reluctantly gave me number mumbling under her breath , The number giver was not subway at all and NOT subway related in anyway. My point is Avoid all subways if you are like me a vegetarian . I felt my whole experience was horrible and has left feeling I never want to use subway again .

Lie about their opening times. Says they're open until 7 so drove 20 mins to get there only to find them closed at 18:15. I now don't have time to get food tonight before going to my class. Useless.

Ran out of ham (its lunch time and they have run out of things, who does their ordering, seems to be going wrong somewhere!), member of staff serving us was whinging about how she hadn't had a break with her colleague saying that he didn't know what to say as there was a queue. Slow service, no sauce offered with hash browns (staff probably forgot as too busy whinging), no bag to put the hash browns in, no cup holder given or offered (again probably too busy whinging!) and they've taken the spicy cheese off the menu, only want there as had a voucher, not even sure its worth it with a voucher

What kinda Subway doesn't serve breakfast 🤔 and even worse cant order on their new uber eats apart from 1 half hour slot ahead of time by that i mean the next day or after This is a joke!!!!!

Preordered online for 11.20 didn't get till 11.34. So annoyed it was late. But felt sorry for the girl who was there ALONE at lunch time. Even though its a lockdown. Food is essential and she shouldn't have been there alone.

I like the quality of the sub's but I don't like being offered any salad but they offer anyone salad regardless of their diet. Soft drinks too small

Good sandwich, friendly staff. Subway was very clean but the surrounding services area was untidy and dirty. Ate in my car.

Great sandwiches, with every subway there is that special experience of watching your food, staff are happy to change anything along the way, and the food is always tasty and fresh

Pretty good love the wraps. Unfortunately they use a surface Probe to test the internal temp of hot meat. Make your own assumptions on that one :/

Disappointing even though the whole site has had a fantastic refurbishment. It looks brilliant. We had to walk past all the empty tables and through to the very end before we found one that was clean. It wouldn't be hard to employ somebody to clean and tidy the seating area regularly. It wasn't even busy when we went in. Also there is a severe lack (or should I say none) of recycling facilities available. With the media raising awareness of plastics and waste problems I couldn't believe there were just general bins available.

Ran out of food!! Burnt my first sub. Stopped serving the woman infrount of us to serve us. Her meal got cold!! Coffee machine still broken. Sat inside to eat and 2 guys were brushing the floors around us and banged into my chair twice. They were cleaning the clean tables and ignoring the dirty ones. To top it all the manager was stood watching and never said a word!!

It appeared the staff were new to their roles and didn't really know what they were doing. No coffee either pants!

It was disgusting they burnt my sub. The drink dispenser was sticky the response from staff was awful and they don't clean inside overall it's people want to come to Subway do not come to this one.

Worst subway I've ever had. The meatballs were hard and black, and the place was so untidy and dirty even though there were plenty of staff doing nothing, rubbish everywhere and actually struggled to find a clean table

Filth! I'm a guy and not a tidy one at that so when I say the place was a pig stye I mean it. Lots of food over the floor and tables. As I stood at the counter a staff member in tbe back was throwing bits of food through the doorway into the bin behind the guys serving about 8 foot. I had a get one free voucher I used so it was cheap but really not clean at all. I walked through burger king on the way out that was much cleaner they only had a few large pieces of food on the floor.

Never in all my time of using subway have i felt more of an inconvenience as a customer! I asked for an Italian cheese and herb bread and after a roll of his eyes the server told me 'we don't have any ' not 'I'm sorry we are out of that' he then stood there, I chose honey oat and with some agitation he said 'what do you want on it?' I had already asked for two foot long chicken teriyaki. When I got to the salad section the attitude was very much the same and when it came time to pay I offered my subway card and was told 'they don't work in here!' I have to say I am not impressed and will NOT be back here again!!? There wax also discarded food all over the floor and tables not cleaned!!!

Love this subway as you can use your dds card and get a footlong or double meat in a saled for the price of a 6 inch. Sometimes the staff have no idear what they are doing but over all its clean and staff are plesent which is yhe main thing

It and burger king and travellodge share an entrance and only a divider between the subway and burger king seating areas, signs for saltash services and subway is marked as you approach the carparks (Is where little chef used to be, street view is out of date)
