Shop was full of workers stacking shelves. Could barely walk down the isles let alone find what I was looking for. Completely unusable, left after the 3rd isle, and went to Tesco. Will not be going again!

Just a massive Asda! It has all your usual groceries as well as a clothing section on the second floor. If you are coming on holiday to Falmouth or the surrounding area I suggest a stop here to pick up all the supplies you might want or need. If you are a student at Falmouth University it also serves as a great place to grab lunch or dinner if you swing by when they put our the reduced food for the budget conscious.

Ordered online. Half my order didn't even turn up. What did was largely replacements. I am livid, it was a big shop, as I am disabled I needed this service. One or two replacement items can be dealt with... but 9?! There were multiple items missing with no replacements. I even paid for the Express delivery, the order was cancelled once which meant a reorder. That's fine if there's no drivers I suppose, buy with such a poor service in-store I won't be doing this again. Dreadful.

ASDA Penryn need to start employing better delivery drivers. Their driver using the Redruth to Falmouth road on Friday 5th Jan at approximately 20:55 overtook at least 2 moving vehicles while driving through Ponsanooth in a 20mph zone. Not a good company example to set particularly with the ASDA brand plastered along the side of the offending vehicle.

Asda have gone on a downhill spiral since the chain was bought out by the Issa Brothers in 2020 No more 24 hours, prices have gone up higher than Sainsbury’s, and their petrol is no longer the cheapest. The 24 hour pumps also charge you £100 to use them. The cost vs quality of the food is very poor. The pizza and chicken counters are often closed at 6pm and the choice of ready cooked alternatives are slim, small portions and super expensive.

Based on regular Sunday morning shopping, the lift seems to be permanently out of order, the instore coffee machine had a sign on it stating some one was on their way to fix it, but they must have a long way to come, as it’s been out of order for weeks and weeks. Stock control seems random, some shelves are filled in places but the labels state out of stock and no price, meanwhile other shelves are empty but the stock is stored visibly on the top storage area, which means I usually end up restocking that item from the above stock. The floors are often littered with stock packaging and empty wooden pallets. This morning I had to navigate around an increased number of personal store shoppers, surely this can be done before the store opens. Having tried online shopping I found the website stated items were not available in store, but visiting the store there was plenty. You,ll notice there are no longer Asda Price Adverts on tv anymore, prices have increased with Asda where as similar items are cheaper in Sainsbury. The petrol station is poorly staffed ..

I can’t give no stars or I would. Asda currently have sale rail with everything £2 or under. I collected quite a few bits for myself and our daughters from this. When I got to checkout, some of the items were not £2 at all. I argued (no nastiness involved) with the man in checkout. He got the ‘deputy manager’ who was younger than the the person on the self service who argued that if it came up with £9 not £2 that’s the price I had to pay! I said but it’s everything on the sale rail from summer - you have no other summer clothes in here and no other sale rail. As he tried to tell me that another customer put it there! But this happened to several of the items I was trying to buy. I told him that meant Asda could put up a rail saying everything £2 or under then fill it up with other items. And that a customer might not notice they were not being charged £2! He said that I could have just said that they were on sale rail. I told him to check the cctv! He then started talking to me like I was a five year old, so I said look just forget it and walked off empty handed. They refused to honour the fact that all their summer sale clothes were stated as £2 and under, . Even though every rail stated it! Really furious and I think against the law!

I have been shopping in here for a long time and always found the older staff very polite and helpful. I would suggest that Asda send the young woman on the bakery ( who works early evenings ) on a customer service course! Telling customers " sorry guys I won't have time to to print your cake as I'm leaving in 10 mins " and putting the closed sign on the machine as we were trying to use the machine and then saying " I need to catch up on my sleep !" rather than actually offer help was rude and ignorant. On our 2nd visit 2 days later the cake was printed but half of it had good colour and the other half had a bad tint .It got worse when we tried to get a cake in st Austell ,only to.find out their cake machine wasn't working either. When we spoke to their customer services to ask if any other stores could do it , they rang the Hayle store and told me if I bought the cake in St Austell Hayle could print the image for me .After driving for 1 hour 15 mins in heavy traffic and over 30 miles to Hayle from St Austell , we arrived in Hayle to be told they didn't even have a photo cake making machine !! Total shambles all round . Tried ringing their customer services but after talking to a call centre in India for 5 minutes they cut me off !! ASDA should make a comedy series as their customer service is now laughable.

Huge supermarket with an extensive range. Ready meals also available. Card payment may be problematic. Our debit and credit cards didn't work. This seems to happen more often because the staff routinely sends you straight to the cash machine at the entrance to withdraw money for payment. As a precaution, you may want to use a self-pay checkout that can also accept cash payments, otherwise you will have to rescan everything if the card doesn't work. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

I have been a customer of this store for the past 5 years and used to love to shop here. However, during that time my mobility has deteriorated dramatically and I am now reliant on using the electric scooters in store. Whilst I think it's fabulous that these are available for people like myself who still wish to be independent despite disabilities, they are only useful if they work. I have been complaining for the past two years that they are no good. After a full night's charge they still won't last a full shop around the ground floor of the store. In the middle of the day I have had them run out of power before completing two aisles. They go straight from a full charge indicator to red empty indicator without warning leaving you stranded in the middle of the store. If that wasn't enough of a problem for disabled customers, I have been unable to access the first floor for over three months as the lift has not been working and mobility devices cannot go up/down the escalator, which means I am unable to access medications, toiletries and clothing etc. At first there was a notice stating that a colleague would be looking at it soon, then just a notice saying out of order, then the notices were removed and stock was placed in front of it, both on the ground and first floors, with no explanation. When I enquired about it I was informed there was structural damage that was going to cost a lot to repair. However they had enough money to have a full refit of the store and petrol station even though that was just aesthetic, and they have just over the past 2/3 weeks put doors on all the fridges in the chilled section. Not just any doors. Not sliding doors that gave disabled customers equal access to the goods inside, but doors that open outwards, meaning disabled customers cannot reach items because the doors won't open because they are blocked by the mobility device! Personally I can park up my scooter, take a few steps to the fridge and open the door to get the items I want, albeit with extreme pain, but that is not possible for everyone with mobility issues. I would like to know why any repairs that would benefit disabled customers of this store seem to be ignored and also why they would install equipment which offers the disabled yet another obstacle to overcome ? In short my review of this store is 5/5 if you have full mobility, 1/5 if you are mobility impaired (and that is only because I can't give it 0/5)

Often use this store as convenient and close to home, however I may rethink this, myself and my wife stopped there on Saturday to get a couple of pizzas, simple enough you would of thought, wrong, huge queue due to only one of the two people working actually doing anything, then after about 15 mins finally it was our turn, it then went very wrong,my wife is a vegetarian, so you would of thought that the guy would of washed his bare hands of the previous order, they were covered in meat and cheese,to be honest he had enough ingredients to make another pizza right there, my wife asked if he could wash his hands and all he was concerned about was what she wanted,he was extremely rude and didn't make us welcome, even the other people in the queue commented, doesn't cross contamination or basic food hygiene apply to asdas staff,,I think if the EHO were to be called you may NOT be selling anymore pizza, please think about this.

Having been away for the weekend I thought I would pop into the store yesterday morning at about 10 o'clock and do my weekly shop instead of driving to Truro from Falmouth. I quickly realised that things had changed since my last visit and I now needed a coin to release a trolley. As I didn't have either a coin or a token as I use Apple Pay, I went to the Customer Services to see if they could help. I explained my predicament and was told that there was nothing she could do to help. She suggested waiting around outside to see the trolley collector as he might be able to do something. I didn't have the time or the inclination to wait around so I asked for a final time if the store could provide a trolley for me to place my shopping in and the answer was a clear NO. I promptly left the store and proceeded to Sainsbury's to spend my £150. I suggest if sales are important to you that the store gets some tokens to hand out to people in the same situation as myself to avoid loosing any more business.

I drive an old van with a dodgy fuel gauge so usually put 15 litres in the tank and carry 10 litres in a can for emergency. Today they shut the pump off on me when they saw me trying to fill the can. I took my Partner and my Daughter along with our friend shopping in Asda. After my shop we decided we'd try out Asda Cafe, to my very disappointment of waiting 45 minutes for 3 hot drinks to then have to wait another 10 minutes for someone to fill up the milk. My daughter is 2 years old and had to wait almost an hour to eat her lunch as it wasn't made or ready. Appaling customer service, gentleman who served me had his hat covering his face and his response to have you any milk was yeah bro one second man. Rude won't be visiting again. Where is the management and training provided here?

Largest supermarket in Falmouth/Penryn area. Usually well stocked up and relatively cheap. The scan and go mobile app is easy to use and guarantees shorter queuing times at the till!

I like this store. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful on the shop floor. The cafe staff work so hard, often one person doing literally everything, my mind boggles how they do it.

I actually like asda Penryn for their wide range of stock. However in recent weeks more than once now their self service tills keep saying 'card declined' when I make payment despite having over £10k in my card. I 've had to keep trying my card more than twice before it would accept it. This is my standard Barclays card that I 've used many times in asda in the past. I do my weekly shopping at Lidl Penryn- never have a problem. The reason I go to asda is they have my Protein Powder (£25), electrolyte tablets(£7) & energy gels(£8) I use for my cycling. I buy these 6 weekly on average. That's £2,346 a year I spend. But this problem I have at their tills is very off putting. It's making me think I should try & avoid asda as much as possible & shop online or only go there if I absolutely have to & make sure I withdraw cash in advance because this is really annoying.

We visited this pub twice during our short visit as the food was so good and very reasonably priced. On our first visit we had the freshly caught cod and chips which really did look like a whale on a plate. Would highly recommend this place and the staff were really helpful and friendly.

Had a standard cappuccino here and it would've cost me less to get a taxi to Lidl and make it myself. Probably would've tasted better too.
