1st time in 10 years had a subway again. Food was ok, nothing special but ok. Looked like the people working there don't want to work there. Would eat there again if needs be but woudnt go out of my way to eat there. Would choose a handful of fast food chains over this one

Incredibly rude blonde woman serving, absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. Why on earth is she working here? Clearly has a problem with the customers judging by all the previous comments in reviews. Will not be spending any more money in here when she is behind the counter. Put me right off my substandard subway!

The blonde lady at the service was very rude

Good is quite good but the a specific staff member she always in a bad mood, I used to lunch at 3 times a week in there is she is always stupid with me and my coworkers. Looks like someone is putting a knife in her throat to work.

Iv been coming to this subway for a few weeks now and the service has been terrible every time the ladies behind the counter are just rude especially the one with blonde hair she looks and talks to you like you shouldn’t be there, I will be avoiding from now on, absolutely disgusting and subway should be doing something about her

Saturday I went to the shop and said hi, The blonde lady ignored me and looked at me bad, just turned over and went to the Greggs instead. They been really friendly

Amazing Staff, delivery was quick, and the food was fresh. Honestly the best place to go for lunch down that area.

Was just spoken to very rudely when I asked for a mocha and a coffee. Avoid the Victoria St shop in Bristol, must be the rudest woman. This happened on 19/03/2024 at around 9.00 am.

Rude costumer service I ask for something and refuse to help for your meal

Women on till is absolutely horrible and shouldn't be serving anyone, let alone get anywhere close to people. Horrible service and dreadful experience!

This was always the subway I stopped at walking to the station in the morning from the hotel after a big night out in Bristol. It was always exactly what I needed to cure the hangover from hell before I got on the train home and it was a nice place to sit and eat before having to walk the rest. Always clean and pleasant service from the staff whenever I have visited here.

It was fine. Got served quick, which was good. Very little interaction from the guy serving. Might be because of the option I chose but was not asked if I wanted and extra or additional salad/sauce etc. sub was ok, the “steak” was questionable but overall was tasty. Not sure I’d pay £8+ for it again.

The food is usually Ok but the staff, talk about customer service which is non existent! There’s one guy who works there who’s really sound always friendly and chatty. The other guy is always frowning like he’s constipated or something. The girl who works there barely breaks a smile and it always feels like you’ve inconvenienced her day by coming into order food at Subway!

Incredibly stingy portions. Two half scoops of chicken over a foot long instead of the appropriate two scoops. Staff are moody too.

Definitly a location for passing through.... and keep going. Perhaps the rest of Bristol is a bit more delightful. So.... Subway. A delightful experience. The staff man made me feel so welcome with his frown. I almost just wanted to make my own food. Rather stingy with the salad and over toasted the sub. A crunchy culinary delight i say! Whilst i was making my own lunch, perhaps i should have also cleaned my own table as the previous customers food remnants were still present, just in case I was still hungry i suppose? And whilst there, you wouldnt believe it but there was a giant hedgehog stomping through the street shouting out Dinsdale and was swiftly chased by a Mongoose called Philip. Quite a site i tell you.

I went to this shop with a smile, having a great previous experience with subways in the country I am from, I was glad to see the restaurant had the same menu which was quote delightful, I asked for Italian herbs and cheese and the person at the till fly kicked me and gave me some seedy roll which almost killed me, however they didn't ruin the doritos

Abina told us we couldn’t eat in an hour and a quarter before they closed because they didn’t want to have to clean the tables again even though there were still five other people sat eating. The other girl working was much more reasonable and gave us an extra cookie as an apology, which was very sweet.

The meatball is poor ... sauce was dead watery. Staff saved it a bit ... better craic than food!

There's a foreign chap with long hair and stubble when I walked in today around 9:20am something like that. He was very nice and helpful, I was hungry and not sure what to go with in terms of vegan options. Super friendly, happy to help, made everything quick. Wish I got his name, the food was good and the atmosphere was pretty chill.

Never go there again the treat to customer like prisoners talks with customer very rude

Nice little subway. We had no issues. Food is 4/5 considering it's a subway. So, it's the standard quality. Service could be a bit friendlier, but I don't expect anything better unless they are being paid and treated fairly (looking at you Subway). Atmosphere is ok. A bit small, nothing special. Comfortable location.

Very poor service, I ordered a spicy Italian, they tired to gave me a ham and salami after telling me they were out of pepperoni and after making the sandwich, they also only had one type of bread available, after ordering a salami and cheese they still charged full price for a spicy Italian...

Really poor service, a shame as I am usually a huge fan of subway, came in and waited for at least quarter of an hour, then turned out that they weren't accepting cards so most people left, staff were rude, disengaged and on their phones all the time. I get round to the sub and the bread was extremely dry and the garlic cheese slice was practically a swimming pool of fat. Will not be returning.

Subway salad is possibly my most favourite (non-burger based) lunch. So gorgeously fresh and pleased the packaging is now recyclable.

Went into the Subway this evening at approximately 6:30, there were no customers in store, just a deliveroo driver sat at a table, the woman, stood behind the counter abruptly shoved the rest of the food she was eating into her mouth and proceeded to take my order with a mouthful of food.. I bought a plant based chicken salad to take away which was dressed nicely however the woman working did not give me a bag and had not put a sticker on it to keep it sealed so part of the salad emptied out into my partners bag. I went back in store to ask for a sticker and a bag to put my food into and explained what had happened to which she grunted at me muttered KUWAR at me, which I know is a very offensive swear word in Polish.. as a result my partner got their subway from Union Street instead, which I wish I had of done to begin with! Won’t be eating here again!

I had one of the most nicely put-together subs I've ever had from Subway here the other day, but while I was eating I heard the employee in charge tell the trainee who did my sub to spend less time and take less care with my sub if there's a queue as ... "it doesn't matter".

Staff were incredibly rude. I walked in and the shop was empty and greeted the individual behind the counter, she ignored me and did not even look up to acknowledge me, whilst she continued to make another sandwich. After that I asked for a tuna sandwich and she told me they were out. Fine. After that I asked if they had everything else in stock or if they had run out of anything else. To that she incredibly rudely replied 'what do you mean have I got everything else', to which I reiterated I just wanted to check if anything else is out of stock. Following that she said 'youve got eyes you can see what else I've got' which was both unnecessary and rude. after that I walked out to which she then shouted as I left 'what, you only want tuna?'. Not sure what their problem was but clearly they felt the need to take their absolutely awful mood out on me.

I need to repeat a couple times what I want to my sandwich + staff gave me totally different sandwich for someone else

On Saturday the 10th visited this Subway for lunch. The server did not turn away four teenagers who were not wearing masks. She did not ask for them to put masks on and she served them, against current guidelines. Also, no tables were cleaned after customers had used them, no spacing of tables.

Speedy pickup for online order, but no acknowledgement from staff.

Only diet drinks on the machine, have to pay extra for a bottle of the good stuff

Not bad at all. Very very busy which is a great sign. Initially went in just for a coffee but everyone's food looked so good we decided to eat also. So glad we did!! Lush.

It is always busy which is a good sign, even in a city centre location. Sandwiches are good, but you generally k ow what you ate getting with a Subway. There is seating available but at lunch it can get a little cramped, although I have never had trouble grabbing a table. It only loses a star because it involves a wait and is packed!

One ofmy favourite fast food restaurants. Lots of fresh, tasty veg.

Staff seemed polite to me but jesus, the amount of flies all over the food! Went to get a cookie as saving grace and there were flies all over them as well...the only double meat they dont charge extra for! Put me off Subway for a while..

Too many fruit flys in the restaurant bins and salad bar. They kept landing on my sub.

Rude staff, they dropped half of the filling by chucking my sub around, they put aioli instead of chilly sauce as asked, "what spinach wrap???" they asked. If you cannot be arsed doing a customer facing job then change. Leave, don't ruin my lunch. Don't assume I walked into that hell of a place because it's what I actually wanted, I just needed a quick one in between meetings.

Subway, quick and affordable lunch

Occasionally have to work in Bristol and stay near this subway. If I have to grab a quick bite, this subway is ideally placed. I have been twice now. I go for the veggie delite, all subways pretty much taste of the sauce so there is no point in killing an animal for it. On both occasions my bread was thumbed to to death by the preparer. On both occasions, my filling was poorly distributed. On both occasions my footlong was cut around the 10 inch mark. Not down the middle! This was two occasions and I was served by different people. This was not a one off, but a culture of unprofessionalism and poor practice. Both servers rushed through my order as I rudely interrupted their conversation with my request. Safe to say, I was not pleased. I will go to Gregs in future.

Ordered a salad with a "tiny bit of mayo" just to make it interesting. She proceeded to dump half the bottle on my salad. This is inedible at this point. If I wanted a heart attack I would have gone for something much more exciting than a salad!

Very busy at lunches due to its proximity to many local office blocks. It's a subway though, you get what you get

The staff in this subway were very lazy when making the sub (ie. Didn't bother spreading the ingredients like I asked, and cooked the hash browns without placing them in the proper cooking tray, this made them soggy and stick together). Most Subway's I go to are much better!

Only one person serving, so not fast service.. Can highly recommend the Mega bite breki sub. Latte not bad.. Ovens were not working fast so also a delay.. If you want a cold drink great selection..!

Since when did subway branches decide they can change the 6 inch sub filling to suit their profit margins? Meatball sub is a classic. It is what it is. A meatball sub. So I walk in to the Victoria street branch in Bristol today and that is the "sub of the day", so I order a footlong. I go to the till and I get told that's £5.89. I'm confused, so I ask why the 6 inch is £2.49 yet the footlong is £5.89? "That's because the footlong has 8 meatballs. But the 6 inch is different. The 6 inch meatball comes with 2 meatballs, 2 ham and two pepperoni." "What... Since when?" I asked "Since Always" she replied flatly. Now I held back from telling her that I've been eating at subway for longer than she has been working there. I have even at one stage in my life worked for Subway and we certainly never entertained such ridiculous sandwich combinations. A meatball sub, was a meatball sub. I did however point out that the sub in the picture of the "sub of the day", did not show any visible ham or pepperoni nor did it state that these were now included. It DID however show two thirds of a 6 inch sub with quite clearly, 3 visible meatballs poking from it. This was met with a flat uninterested look and a "That picture has been cut" response, which made absolutely no sense. Of course it had, however that didn't deflect from the fact that the picture still held the original sub and not this new monstrosity that they described. If I had ordered a six inch and they had started putting all that other junk in there I'd have told them to throw it away. When I order a meatball sub, it's because I want a MEATBALL sub. Not a ham sandwich in marinara. Not a dominoes meteor in a roll. No. A meatball sub. I was due in for work or I would have pressed the obvious issue. One thing is for certain. I wont be using this branch of subway ever again. Ridiculous.

Not busy, Mon 6-7pm. CLEAN store. 2 friendly staff, incl "Trainee" (Romanian young man) who made my 2 6"-subs. V capable, good English; could improve Product Knowledge (recommend which sauces for which subs), but otherwise all good here!

Employees with no interest in their job. Meat heated in microwave instead of the normal subway oven and no Pepsi besides max and cherry.

This is the third time I've been and had burnt meat balls in my sandwich! I'm reviewing and commenting about this, this time as there were 3!!!! I live 5 minutes walk away, and am not going back there to complain. They shouldn't have been put in my sandwich in the first place!!! What are your quality control checks?? Why has this not happened only once? But twice and now a 3rd times now. They don't taste good. They're hard and to be honest, it's quite nasty to bite into the sandwich and into a burnt meatball. Secondly to that, they seem to skimp on the salad. Which I don't quite get. You get a sandwich full of meat and sauce... yet they (without being asked further) only seem to want to give you the smallest amount of salad possible. Other than that most times I've been it's been a good eat. That seems to be when I order BMT. If you can't do the meat balls right don't do them. Save the disappointment.
