Haven’t visited subway In months as last time I visited the service was poor and the place looked very unclean, I visited today around 4pm and was served by a young man when I got chatting to him he said he’s been the manager for around 2 weeks. Already in them 2 weeks the place looks so much cleaner and the service was much better. Will definitely be back in regularly now

Sean is great and a credit to the company.

During a recent visit to Subway, I had the pleasure of being served by Sean, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. As soon as I walked in, Sean greeted me with a warm smile and a friendly attitude that immediately set a positive tone. His attention to detail and knowledge of the menu were impressive, and he was more than happy to offer suggestions when I couldn't decide on my order. It was clear that he took pride in his work, and it reflected in the final product—my sandwich was delicious, perfectly made, and just the way I wanted it. What really stood out, though, was Sean's customer service. He was not only polite but genuinely engaging, making small talk while still keeping the line moving quickly. It felt like he valued each customer individually, which is rare in fast-food experiences. Overall, Sean made my visit to Subway more than just a quick meal; it was a delightful experience. His professionalism, combined with his friendly demeanor, turned a routine stop into something memorable. I will definitely be returning to this Subway location, hoping to be served by Sean again.

Went in today was served by Sean and Sophie. Service was great and food was unreal

It was freezing cold. No bbq sauce as requested And was cut completely in half so all the filling had come out.

Went in this morning and the Shop was a mess rubbish all over the floor, bins left out in the open, till and work surfaces were a state, young girl in there was rude and unwelcoming, food was cold and had items missing, out of stock on multiple basic things. Staff didn’t want to let us use subway points or scan discount cards, will not be going again, staff need to learn some customer service, would rate a 0 but unfortunately I cant

The steak submelt wasnt great. The steak was really chewy and fatty

Kept changing delivery time ordered at 6:30 got deliver an hour later ! For it to be cold and not toasted !!

Asked for the sandwich toasted and it wasnt and they took it upon themselves to cover it in some unwanted disgusting sauce. Cheese bites were freezing and the salad literally only had a few bits of lettuce.

Lovely Romanian guy serving us! Really friendly and warm. Despite having to serve a que just by himself, he kept calm and attentive. Really great!

Food cold and wedges very cold, had to heat a little. Delivery driver although nice did not try very hard to locate my property and instead called me to leave my home in order for him to find me despite the drop pin via the app showing my exact location.

Worst service ever! The man at the counter corrected me and countlessly got my order wrong. Additionally wouldn’t let me choose which cookie I wanted. Me and m family are very disappointed 😣

Lady Staff in exmouth very rude to customers she is very arrogant this is not acceptable from any shop but the shop like subway u need to put some good staffs because people expect better than this from you

It's extremely frustrating when you take home a sub and the bun is literally rock hard, and the deli meat is semi warm when the sub was not toasted or warmed up. It's frustrating because you spend almost 30 dollars for 2 subs that are not good at all.

Absolutely lovely staff, appalling management. This is the third night I've attempted to get a salad - the first two nights they had to close 20 mins early, the third there weren't boxes available for the salads. The staff seem embarrassed, as though they're having to go above and beyond to serve their customers.

Maddy served me this morning at Exmouth branch she was 5 star +++She was so patient explaining all the breakfast options was helpful on choices Totally professional friendly helpful I'm disabled with a walker she was so patient and kind x 😀 will definitely return breakfast was amazing such good value . Has to be the worst subway in the uk. Either the training is poor or the staff just don't care. I stood there and watched the woman cut my meatball sub then with the same knife cut a vegan sub. No gloves or hats on the floor was disgusting and the Bread is always rock hard

Absolutely awful, everytime we order from here things are either missing, completely wrong or soggy and cold and most of the time it’s a case of all of these issues at once. Truly awful service from subway, can’t even blame the delivery services for it because there’s never issues with the other takeaway places. Absolutely no excuse for the poor service provided everytime by this store.

Ordered three large meals, were delivered in good time. No complaints about the delivery. More than a few complaints about the order. Of the three meals, only got 2 drinks. Of the two drinks delivered, only one was correct. Of the three sides, two were correct. One was entirely wrong. Of the three treats, two were wrong. Of the three sandwiches, three were wrong either partially or entirely, and were all sloppily made. I don't expect perfection but accuracy would be nice.

Terrible service,waited 20mins and no interaction. Surely atlunch time more than 1 person serving at a snails pace! Left in the end with a very disappointed child.

Wrong sub made TLC ordered got a patty! No cheese no hash browns, stone cold. Delivery was on time.

Got our order wrong. Turned up stone cold. And received 6 bites instead of 9. Rang store and refused to rectify issue. Poor service and poor customer service

Wrong subs made, ordered a pack of cookies for the kids, got only one... Missing a Margherita slice and the one that did arrive looked awful. Poor care and attention to delivery

Never have I been in a subway where hit drinks are not available after 5pm!!!! Came in 3 nights ago at 9pm and had a coffee is this just staff being lazy???

I had 2 bites out of my pepperoni and cheese footlong sub and it is absolutely vile the worst subway I have ever put to my lips my lettuce tastes all gone off the tomato sauce is just so vinegary I can’t even believe this. me and my partner both won’t be eating our sandwiches that £11 down the drain

Ordered through Deliveroo and order came on time. However ordered extra cheese and struggled to find any cheese at all . Ordered it to be toasted and it was "warm" but chicken was quite cold. A below average experience compared to other Subways I've had. Based on other comments, you can do better Exmouth Subway, raise your bar.

Seems to run out of items every time we order and something in the order is always wrong.. and when ordering from Uber it's more annoying as we then have to defeat the hole point of delivering to go down and get it changed. Normally tastes okay though.

Had to wait 15-20 minutes in store to even be spoken to by the person serving. There were 2 people in front of me as well but the server was prioritising Deliveroo orders. By the time I got to the salad bar there was nothing left. The sandwich was disgusting as well. Do not recommend.

Wonderful and friendly staff member here who made my rare trip to a sandwich shop easy. She helped me through the process and was patient. The place was clean and had a nice atmosphere. A toilet is available for customer use.

I appreciate the note saying out of cookies so here’s some donuts instead but if you can go to the effort of doing that atleast put effort into the rest of the order… my subway looked like it was thrown around the room then tossed like a salad, I received the wrong drink and I was missing the nachos from the meal deal… very disappointed. The 2 stars is for 1 the delivery driver and 2 Writing a note about being out of cookies.

Food okay. No options, all out of most of the bread, cookies or meatballs. Customer service dreadful, not paying attention, shouting, swearing, laughing, spent most of the time at the back and slow service. Judging orders. Very unprofessional and I love subway but not when the service is like this

I went in there and they told me they had no bread, then went in another time and they told me they didn't have most of the meat or tuna. A few weeks later I went in at 1:30 in the afternoon and they told me they aren't serving any one at the min. Every time I go to this subway there is ALWAYS something wrong. Never having subway again. I would 100% avoid

After 10min in the queu I just left shop. Only 1 person at the shop and hes trying to sort out delivery orders, swearing, throwing boxes around..

This is my local subway and I don't have them that often but I fancied a treat after a nice day out. I was not impressed by the state of the place. Clearly they must have had a busy day but it was quite when I went and the counters and chopping boards were dirty and even by the till area it had bits of food. They only had brown bread , and the tuna was really sloppy and as for the cucumbers, well you could have used them as door stops they were cut that big so all the filling was falling out. And the knife was dirty that he used to cut our bread with and he didn't even wipe it after he cut the tuna one so I had tuna on mine abit. I've never been to a subway that has been like this and it has put me off and I won't be going back for a very long time.

Needs a clean, trash left outside, customer service was meh and my tlc chicken was frozen!!!!

Exmouth Branch The staff where so slow a snail 🐌 passed them, they also ran out lettuce, after 20 minute wait to be served decided to leave before we starved . Normally subway branches are quick , this was dead slow. So if in Exmouth try somewhere else.

Food is ok but some items unavailable. Could do with a real good clean up. Slow service.

I visited on 13th July 2021. The service was terrible, noone acknowledged I was there for almost 15 mins.! (there was 1 customer in front) When I was eventually served it was by someone who was distracted and uninterested. I have seen more energetic corpses. After I was informed I couldn't have hearty Italian bread I went forward with Italian. I chose chicken teryaki I was then informed there was no sweet o ion sauce. So I decided to not have sauce. When I eventually got to the till the worlds slowest worker served me and couldn't find my sandwich.. It was on the side next to him. The only positive was that out of the team of 4 this was the only worker who decided to wear a mask. One even had a sore throat... When I eventually got served at the till there was no cup drinks. 8 decided to opt for a bottle drink.. Low and behold, the fridge was almost empty... This is a shambles. With 4 staff members I wouldn't expect to wait over 20 mins as the second person in the queue to them have to leave without a meal as you didn't have 4 of the most basic ingredients... The workers in this branch today should be ashamed of themselves as usually subway is a great place to get fast friendly service and I meal I want. In the end I went to tesco and got a meal deal for half the price with a decent drink and it took less than 3 minutes. I'm appalled.

Very disappointing as there was only 1 member of staff (Ashley). She was run off her feet and trying her best but due to a backlog of Uber orders and a queue in the the shop we left without ordering. She was very apologetic. She should not have been on her own.

Who doesn't love a sub!! Friendly and polite server and a tasty sub made up as requested. The shop always looks grubby though, inside and out.

Went in first time in a while. No queue. I thought great. Only there was no staff. I waited 5 minutes occasionally saying "Hello?" Eventually 2 young lads walked in that had been sat at an outside table. Apparently they were staff! No greeting. No apology. Walked past me into the back. I gave up and walked out. Very poor. The staff used to be very polite cheerful and helpful.

Heyho!! I was in Subway at 3pm. Got a salad and large sub. My server was, well........really good!! Didn't make disparaging remarks about my taste (they did in Subway, Plymouth and in Oxford Street called me weird), was very patient bc my partner decided that a new sub was in order, not the usual (🙄), and if I'd not had the server to advise I'd probably still be there. Partner practically inhaled the sub (missed his calling in life?!😉) and declared it scrumptious. I didn't get my server's name, platinum/lilac hair, bandanna mask, sleeve tatts. Really good camaraderie between the staff (Exeter staff also bicker as well as being rude). And btw, my salad was yummy, soooooo good. People who work in hospitality should never make fun of an order, they have no idea why the food has to be that way for the consumer. We're not supposed to explain why we have our food that way but I have called my specialist and told him that Exmouth Subway behaves properly with his patients, unlike every other Subway I've been to since my condition started. Well done and thank you. Like the T-800, I'll be back. Cheers!!

We have just received the delivery of Subways - four of us ordered from work for lunch - the delivery arrived, cold, the rolls were burnt, and some felt stale and there was hardly any filling. The order cost £26. I called to say we were disappointed and tried to explain the problems, the assistant denied any issues, i said shall i put a photograph on the review and she said "you can do what you like to be honest" and then put the phone down?? one star was the only choice as i wouldnt have given them that!

Food always taste good and a good service !!

It's a subway what's there to say.... Anyway staff are fine and you normally get served pretty quickly.

So i was on a night out and an employee, let’s just call him Ben, gave me the wrong sub. when i can back with the sub he refused to refund me my money. I will never step in subway again due to this, waste of a tenner.

With an exceptional selection of bread, a fair range of main ingredients, and an optional choice of salad, you can order a sandwich (from quite a lot of them) to your liking. You can even have some sauce in your sandwich, provided you don't make too much of a mess (but, of course, the staff might clean it up, but just to make sure). As for desserts, the main choice is cookie, but I've also seen a few muffins thrown in (not literally, I should add). There is also quite a selection of drinks to go with your sandwich (or whatever else you're eating). Sandwiches can have different ingredients in them: chicken, turkey, tomato, cheese, jalapeños, etc. However, I mainly order a 9-grain Meatball Marinara without cheese, with tomato and olives. I usually also get some water and crisps. You know who else would like to order a good Meatball Sub? Mordecai and Rigby (from Regular Show de J. G. Quintel et Sean Szeles)! Whoooooo!

Just your average subway, close to transport options and parking if you are visiting.

It's ok but considering there's such a lot of choice of places to eat and takeaways in Exmouth I wouldn't bother going here again.

Very poor service. Run out of half the ingredients and drinks, bathroom was locked so no washing our hands. Last time went there we waited 5mins and not a single staff member appeared. Management/owner that cares would make a positive difference.

Very rude and unhelpful staff, avoid if you can

Food was nice but there was only 1 member of staff working and being a busy area nearly walked out. But the young lady that was on duty did her best, not rushing and ruining the food and still managed a smile, but have been in many subways and sadly due to under staffing it leaves a lot to be desired.

Only been here once, the food was fine but not the best service. The guy serving couldn't remember anything I asked for and I had to repeat myself a lot, think he was a bit tired 😊

A slow service, standardised quality. 6 people in the store waiting to be served, a single person working on food preparation. Understandable if the store is understaffed, but frustrating when you just want to chow down. Hopefully future visits will be more seamless

Last visit they were out of veggie patty, cookies and the coffee machine was broken.Staff weren't aware which cheese was vegetarian and which wasn't. Poor show.

As with any subway, the Exmouth branch is old and could do with re-development. Otherwise food is good, staff a little grumpy.
