we very plain chow mean was not great as chicken and veg on top not mixed in was luke warm at best. rice was very basic could off cooked something better at home

Awful, couldn’t leave a review on the order I actually placed, asked for money off they just cancelled the order completely after being over an hour late, rang the ”restaurant” and can’t complain about the customer service, because there wasn’t any, not ordering again

ordered food for it to be delivered over two hours after the order was placed, staff kept saying it was 5-10 minutes away when it clearly wasn’t, when we called staff they were very blunt and not very apologetic of our situation

Thought we would try this place as hadnt used for a few years and our normal takeaway deliverd half an hour late last time. Ordered food for delivered only for it to arrive 40 minutes before time asked for. Not only that although my wife's food was good mine wasnt. Needless to say wont be going back again.

Absolute disgrace - ordered about 7.30 - we chose this Just Eat restaurant because YOU (Just Eat) said it would be 45-60 minutes - it is now approaching 10pm. You obviously have no say in how your restaurants act. Will never order again from you

Very disappointed with my meal ordered the set meal for one & a pancake roll there was no taste in the meal for one watery sweet & sour sauce & same for the chicken & mushroom the pancake roll was just batter & bean sprouts no prawns or chicken in the filling & soggy batter the only thing that was OK was the fried rice will not be ordering anything from them again there are far better Chinese takeaways in Exmouth & Budleigh Salterton than the Ocean Garden don't waste your money

Ribs over cooked and tough stuck to bone. Not edible.

Fast delivery but food was awful. Bland would be an understatement. Noodles tasted like they’d been microwaved. Had better from a Tesco ready meal.

Good food and selection from our local takeaway 👌 Such lovely people that work there and they really care what they are doing and what their customers want.

I ordered at 17.45 and estimated delivery was 18.45-19.05 which was alreay 1hr and 20 mins. by 19.25 it had still not arrived so requested a text, did not get so called restaurant who said would prepare it first whe driver got back. Then estimated delviery time changed to 19.30, still had not arrived by q9.

Worst Chinese in Exmouth, took 2 hours to arrive, fried rice was missing the main ingredient (soy sauce) looked straight out of an uncle Ben's packet, first time ordering and sure to be our last, AVOID!!

Food was cold and every dish tasted poor. All I wanted was a succulent Chinese meal and I ended up with the worst I've ever had.

Arrived early which was great but food was cold and soggy. Disappointing. Sweet and sour chicken balls where not at all crispy and the egg fried rice was more like wet boiled rice with bits of egg.

Understand the delivery guy saying they were busy. But the food quality was poor. The crispy chilli beef was bad. They’d just cooked the beef and then just chucked the sauce on it and not mixed it in properly. The chicken with cashew nuts was tasteless. Chips we had were a bit underdone. All in all. We were disappointed and maybe won’t use this place again

Order was not ready on arrival and was started on arrival but they were very busy.

Two dishes returned for replacement due to not being prepared properly. The shop refused to deliver replacement dishes to us so my husband had to return the two poor dishes to the shop to receive the two replacements, which were also tasteless and watery. We refuse to go back to the shop for the third time so have binned. The shop were rude and blamed the poor quality on collection time, even though we collected at the agreed time. Unfortunately will not be returning nor would we recommend.

Ordered large chicken curry and didn’t receive large. Paid £9.50 for standard curry with no rice or chips. When I challenged this they said if you order anything online you don't get rice with anything. If you call them you will get rice included with your curry. Don't order online as you will get ripped off. Just order by phone. Also while I was trying to resolve this matter, the guy answered the phone taking orders from other customers so I was just stood there while the rest of my food was going cold.

Always ordered from here however food quality changed a few months ago. Thought we would try again this Saturday but ignored notes on preferences that one of the meals was for a vegetarian and arrived with meat inside. Food went in the bin and still no response from Just Eat four days later!

I had a home delivery from this Chinese takeaway. Never again. The only good thing about it was the friendly delivery driver, otherwise I would have only awarded 1 star! My first disappointment was when I discovered that my 1/4 crispy duck was in fact already chopped up. It certainly wasn't crispy, either, and tasted unpleasant. I threw about 3/4 of it away. Next up, sweet and sour king prawns and chicken satay with mixed veg. Both had very little flavour. I managed to eat about half because I was hungry before giving up.

Phoned the restaurant twice to be updated and it was only when I asked them to contact the delivery driver that they did, very disappointed. From ordering to delivery was almost 2 hours.

The satay was fine and the chicken balls were good but the sweet and sour sauce was the worst I’ve ever tasted, I’d poured it over the rice which made most of my meal inedible. A shame as everything else was good.

It was good, not the best, but the Chinese takeaway that you can expect in most towns 4star

Food turned up an hour and 20 minutes late (I had called to check and was told it was to be 40 minutes late) unfortunately it wasn’t very tasty either- one set of noodles was mushy and one was really salty. Overall very underwhelmed. They seemed incredibly busy when I called so perhaps they need to reconsider when to take orders online or not as the quality does suffer.

Didn't receive order called restaurant after an hour and a half of waiting the lady blamed other Chinese resturants closure, and was then going to start cooking my food and would arrive 2 and half hours after originally order terrible customer service

Absolutely ridiculous wait. The app said it would be between 19:00-19:20 it didn’t arrive until 20:40. I had to call the restaurant numerous times and was constantly palmed off with an incorrect eta just to get me off the phone. Then the app said it was delivered at 19:05 shocking service and can understand it’s a busy Saturday night but the eta should have reflected that aswell as when calling on the phone. Not even an apology when the order arrived

Delivery was to a caravan on Devon Cliffs site. Delivery was on time & to the door, driver was friendly. Food was hot & delicious, 5* :)

After a disappointing order from our usual takeaway, I thought I'd try Ocean, and I'm so glad I did! The food was light and fresh, the meat beautifully cooked. Kung Po beef was the best I've ever had. Thoroughly recommend.

I ordered a special satay & sweet & sour chicken balls The sweet & sour chicken balls were very good but the satay was horrible normally when I order this dish elsewhere it's comes as a thick peanut sauce this was a watery gravy with no peanut in it at all didn't even taste any peanut's will deffo not be ordering from here again a complete waste of money whoever cooked it should go back to cookery school or get a new cook disgusting

Food is good, portion sizes good. Only one criticism is if food has been delivered, it is cold, so tend to collect

Had a lovely experience with the driver, was on time but when it came to the food… opened up the appetiser box and was happy with that same with the salt and pepper chicken but the ‘ chicken chow mein’ had a gone off smell and taste to it, like it was last night left overs. Not impressed. The crispy shredded beef was also not up to standard being dry and none tasteful.
