Nice little establishment but was very slow service. Admittedly busy and dealt with rude customers who were verbally aggressive without being too angered. Food was hot and we enjoyed the time spent but nearly 30minutes to be served wasn't great. Probably just the day Would return if we was local. Lovely views upstairs 👏

Wanted a quick meal while in ex mouth, KFC filled the bill. It wasn't full and service was prompt. Seating area was upstairs which was clean. The food was really good and fresh. Not very oily as well.

Always check you get what you ordered because this branch of KFC regularly like to miss things out and demand you bring back all your food as of that somehow proves what was missing

KFC is normally hit an miss depending on which one you go to, however this one was awful. Judging from the other reviews this is a common occurrence and since we are welsh I'm guessing this was the reason for our mistreatment. The woman serving us was incredibly rude and incredibly hostile towards us and laughing about it to her other co workers. The food was disgusting, the chips were cold, the chicken inside the wrap was nuked and the diet coke tasted like fizzy water. Luckily this interaction did not ruin our holiday and we even met some people back at our camp who had the exact same experience when they went here a few days before us. Judging from the reviews KFC have given up on this particular restaurant and have no means to step in and provide these workers with actual training. If it was just the food that was the issue then I would not have left a review without returning a second time to ensure that the food is always like this and we just didn't come on a bad day. However after the service provided and the incredibly hostile environment I do not feel bad about this 1 star review and it is 100% deserved

Staff were really helpful and service was quick on this visit. I couldn't use my app so I wasn't allowed to use my blue light card which is a shame.

I had ordered just a burger around 3 pm and I got it delivered around 4:40

When we walked in the staff was rude and yelled at people who hadn't done anything wrong. There isn't much choice for vegetarians or vegans. The toilets are unhygienic and it smelled. The food was very greasy. We all didn't feel well after the meal

I placed a order at 11:38 the order came to my door at 14:57. The driver informed me the food has been sitting in the restaurant since time of order and when he was tasked to deliver highlighted to them to cook fresh food and they declined. My order took 3hrs 35mins to arrive, it was stone cold and I couldn’t eat it as quality was poor. This is totally unacceptable and disappointing.

Worker was in a mood because “foreigners keep demanding things they’ve ordered” then she dropped my coffee on herself causing burns which turned out to be the foreigners fault. Then once they’d left she decided it was my fault for going there to begin with. The burger I had wasn’t even chicken, a piece of deep fried gristle.. I guess my punishment? Always problems at this KFC..

Awful staff. Came here for a quick something to eat couldn’t believe how staff were arguing with a very polite customer saying he didn’t pay for a part of his food when he was politely showing his receipt,banking and email to prove it. It was very embarrassing to see how he was being treated. Then whilst waiting for our food noticed a staff member “Ruth” putting her hands into where the fries are ready to be packed and manually putting the fries from the tray into the packaging. Then another staff member who looked like management who clearly looked like he was on a power trip closed the shop early and told a customer who was half way through an order on the ordering machines that he had to leave as they were sold out of everything, it was clear to see there were lots of fries remaining and tons of loaded chicken cooked under the heat. Our food was fine but was an awful experience to witness and I’m glad to say it’s not local kfc

Missing an item of the delivery

I got three fillet burgers . Two were delicious and the third eaten the following day after airfrying . Not as nice but was still good.

Placed order at just after 8 and was accepted by the restaurant. Order not processed for over and hour with delivery getting to me just before 10pm

Came with no chips, no hot wings and was earlier then scheduled.

Order was delivered early but was missing half the food.

Rude staff, food hot but very greasy. Dripping with fat and bottom of box was soggy.

Only KFC to have no boneless chicken so I ordered a burger and got no side order and no chips when I showed them I had to wait another 10 minutes for them to rectify it .

Perhaps the worst kfc we have ever visited; rude, indifferent staff who seem to believe that as a seaside town with transitional customers they do not have to try too hard as they will not see you again; We are locals living 100 yards away who ate kfc once a week in London; we have been here 3 years and have used this branch only twice. Last weekend the bins were overflowing, every table or surface had used trays and rubbish on, and a full pepsi had been dropped on the floor and was left where it was all the time we were there. Asked for a 6 piece family feast with no legs; told 'cant guarantee it'. My wife had the foresight to check our order before we left; just as well as all the fries were missing. Everything was luke-warm as the hot cabinets had clearly been turned down to save energy, and what can you say about the 'new' style fries that are always cold and limp? As a franchise that has to perform to a blanket standard, they need a visit from an area manager who just might be able to wake them up a bit. £25 for a meal that pre-covid cost £16 . . . Read the recent reviews; a string of one star, avoid at all costs, you WILL be disapointed.

As my son got star of the week at school. I thought I would let him choose what dinner he wanted for a treat. We don’t go to kfc very often at all, but thought we would give it a go. It was about 4 clock and I was served by Gary, who looked irritated at my very presence. Feeling very awkward giving my order. I changed my mind after he had keyed my order in the till, but I hadn’t paid. To have two corn on the cobs instead of one. So my children didn’t argue over the one corn. I was probably slower than most at placing my order as I’m not familiar with the menu as I don’t go often, everyone in my house likes different things. By the end Gary did manage to crack a smile though, so all wasn’t lost that end. I only live round the corner, I don’t no if the food was just sat there. But…. How disappointing, it wasn’t even lukewarm. It was point blank cold. So disappointing spending nearly £30 on cold food that didn’t taste fresh. Didn’t no a chicken burger was so dry and crunchy. Safe to say we will be giving the Exmouth kfc a wide birth.

Friendly atmosphere!! just what you need after a Sunday dance and drink. Staff absolutely Fantastic. Fifi could not off been so helpful. Saved me money showing me how to use to the Kfc app which is now downloaded. Wonderful experience start to Finish. See you next Sunday.

We were very sick after hot wings and popcorn chicken. Definitely not recommended.

Ordered a few times last month and each time we collected it and took it home, a lot of the items were missing . So annoying having to go back .. Haven't been back since but if we do we will definitely check it before leaving.

I had to wait about 30 mts for an order. All PPL after me where served. I was told it's cos of the hotwings but one of the person after me ordered the same and got served before me. Not a word of apology either. Another lady got served late as well but lot of apologies for her not me probably because of my race :/ Very unprofessional

Appalling attitude from staff member, Gary who couldn't get my app to link to the till. He told me that I couldn't have the offers listed on the app as a result. When challenged, he asked me what I wanted him to do about it. Customer service at it's absolute best. Order abandoned and he couldn't have cared less.

Waited ages before being served. Very little room to stand inside. Delivery people seemed to take preference. Food however was quite good.

Staff were polite but have no idea how to cook or prepare orders. Mixed mine and my wife's food up, massive problem as my wife is allergic to chilli and I had a zinger burger. The food was uncooked and we had to settle for different food as they didn't have the original food we asked for or the drinks we asked for. Personally I think the place should be shut down or at very least the staff replaced with people who are capable

A friendly environment, good food but can sometimes take a while and the customers get a bit aggy , facilities are clean 85% of the time and when upstairs is open it’s a bonus to sit in and eat.

Didn't eat here as it looked filthy. Staff member cleaning the windows had the dirtiest shoes I've ever seen in my life. Didn't fancy a bout of food poisoning so gave it a swerve.

Just spent £36 on 3 boxes of something I can't even distinguish as chicken certainly missing those herbs and spice and deep fried to within an inch of its 4 week stint in a bucket of bleach somewhere.... Absolutely vile....last time it was bad so gave benefit of the doubt....but lost customers from the Exmouth shop for sure

We were staying at Devon Cliffs a couple of miles from here, but had passed it on a trip out for the day. The service area was small, but perfectly adequate. The staff were friendly and polite, and the food was served promptly. And the order was fulfilled with no missing items.

So I got a large meal. I got around 8 chips half a pot of gray the burger looked like it's been used as a football. The staff where all dancing around pushing each other with the really young manger shouting its Saturday at the top of his lungs. I waited 34mins for my food and I was the only person in there at the time. Tried contacting KFC but like They said in the email (what do I want them to do) never again will I use kfc

I purchased 2 hotwings for 99p. When presenting my app the server snached it out of my hand without asking. On reviving the hotwings they were clearly singlebreaded. When I returned they claimed not to be singlebreaded but as a cook at another kfc store they clearly were and of poor quality. All staff were rude and just stared at me

6 drumsticks in a bargain bucket totally unacceptable if I hadn't lived the other side of town I would have taken it back not worth my money even the chips had only been half filled. If you feel like eating chicken I would definitely think about getting it somewhere else. (Rip off Kentucky)

Lose stars for lack of app ordering...

Ordered via Uber Eats - 2 missing items. Rang the store only for them to shrug responsibility to Uber and say there’s “nothing they could do to fix it” Not the first time an issue like this has happened either. I don’t mind errors, mistakes happen, but at the very least the restaurant should take responsibility and try to solve the issue rather than blaming a delivery service.

After my experience at the KFC in Glastonbury I was surprised when I ate here - the restaurant was clean, the chicken was crispy and the chips and beans were hot.

Shocking… items missing from the order which happens.. but 13 calls later and still no reply or answer…one hungry daughter!!!

Very disappointing. Having driven back home to Exeter only to find I didn't actually get the meal I ordered. Too far to go back though.😠

Great meal but quite some queue

Utterly disappointing business model designed to maximise profit and minimise customer and staff satisfaction. The pressures of placing delivery orders in front of customer orders is clearly the problem. I wasted 30 minutes of my hour break waiting for megabox because they had a large ubereat order appear after id ordered, the 4 people in front of me waiting for their food were all put on hold too. I could see every component of my meal sat there and it would have taken 30 seconds to put together while they were waiting for 1 single item to be cooked on the delivery order. Upper management are clearly incompetent, no wonder you're short staffed. If you want your business run better give us a ring.

I only give 1 star as I couldn't give a negative food was all wrong after getting it home with a burger missing and 2 sides missing after waiting almost 30 minutes in the store staff are obviously incompetent to manage the smallest of tasks of reading an order off screen and filling a bag with what is on said order

This place is always awful firstly they never have the things in stock after you’ve payed.. then they forget your drinks and then they charge you extra for Water.. it’s just atrocious

The upstairs is disgusting. I've been coming here on the odd occasion since 2012 (for the kids) and the upstairs is always filthy. On my most recent visit, to the toilets upstairs, there was a chicken wrap and contents, stuck to the wall. Also, a full toilet roll soaked and thrown on the ceiling. The upstairs is usually empty but every table full of rubbish/food and the bin over flowing. All of this only makes you wonder what standard of cleanliness, is or isnt mainted in the kitchen. The manager needs to get a grip!

Hit and miss with this one sometimes food is great and other times not so also when busy make sure you get all you ordered couple times I've had say about it not all being there

Food as expected however we won't be returning as the wait was horrendous! Priority seemed to be for delivery services. Also the waiting area is extremely small.

This has to be the worst KFC I've visited. Every time my order has been wrong and today the door is locked at 12.30pm (opening hours are claimed to be 11am-11pm) with no sign or explanation. Staff behind the counter, completely ignoring knocking at the door.

The eating area is tiny and often not open the food isn't at KFCs usual standard. It's always super busy and it's tiny.

AWFUL!!!!!!! As someone who is a manager in fast food, my experience here was just absolutely terrible. It was quite busy and there were a lot of orders, however the staff were just standing there doing nothing, leaning against the work tops. The people in the back couldn’t go any slower if they tried. When it is busy surely the staff should be trying to get the orders out as fast as possible. We ended up waiting over half an hour and some people around us were waiting even longer.When we did get our food we had to actually ask for our drinks as they weren’t even made yet!! The food wasn’t even worth the wait as it was all cold which didn’t make sense to why I had to wait so long. The staff didn’t even apologise about the wait and were very blunt and rude. Will definitely not be returning here again…

When I arrived it was shut, this was at 8:50PM their website said they are suppose to be closed at 9PM.

Every time I come to this KFC I'm served by the same lady. She is rude, and ALWAYS gets the order wrong... - short ish lady, glasses, and short hair. We were initially served by a guy who was fine, we asked for extra pieces of drumstick in our bucket and only supercharger mayo and sweet chilli with the boneless feast, which he said fine. Then the lady (the one I'm complaining about) started packing our order - I said 'Excuse me' to try and get her attention (because this lady has a reputation for getting it wrong every single time) to remind her we'd asked for extra drumsticks. I had to saw excuse me 5 times to get her attention because she was ignoring me. The man next to me actually laughed because it was so ridiculous. When I finally got her attention she rolled her eyes and made it seem like the biggest effort to put drumsticks in there. I mean if it's not possible that's fine, but they did say it was fine lol. I did ask as we ordered as well so she knew. When they gave us our order I checked the sauces because they're always wrong too, and they were, so I waited again to ask for the correct sauces. The man next to me was also waiting because they'd got his order wrong too; he was trying to get their attention but they were ignoring him, think they had forgotten his drinks. (There was another lady behind the counter that didn't say a word the whole time - a lady in a hijab, she wasn't rude really, but she did blatantly ignore customers when they were asking for help) They finally served him and I was stood there waiting next to him trying to catch her eye too but she immediately ignored me and turned her back to me even though it was super obvious I was waiting to be served. 5 more minutes pass and I said 'excuse me' again to which the 1st lady again just turned and looked at me really angrily. I said I asked for supercharger mayo to which she snatched the 3 sauces from me and threw them (aggressively) into the bin across the room. She then gave me the supercharger mayo and turned her back again without saying anything. She didn't apologise once, it's like she thought it was my fault she got it wrong lol. We got the food home and there were no beans which we had asked for. There was also a short dark hair on the hot wings... disgusting. The service was so terrible, they got 3 things wrong somehow and didn't apologise once. If they'd been polite it probably would have been fine but they were so angry and rude, how can people like this work in customer service?? Honestly not sure why I go to this KFC, it's got such a bad reputation. I think this lady is also somehow a manager which is bizarre because its the worst customer service every single time I go in - it's like she makes mistakes on purpose to annoy people because she's never got it correct before.

Nice place to visit however if your thinking of going and your in a wheel chair then you can only do take away not eat in as its doesnt cater for people in wheel chairs.

Small Branch, and clearly only requires employees with a small Brain. Wrong orders, every single time. Incompetant staff. Very long wait for food. Would not waste your time, seriously. Shame, as I love kfc!
