Subway in Isle of Wight

When I pointed out the bottom shelf of bread all had mould on, the women (found out later she was manager) was just very rude to me. I literally felt as though I had done something wrong, for their mistake.. I was getting food for our office and I have told the team that we will never order from them again. Worst experience I have ever had from a restaurant in my 30years of living. Truly gobsmacked and in shock.

Went in today and Subway were extremerly busy. I was served by someone called Amelia who was an absolute delight. Very charming and got my order right to perfection which is great as a have a few allergens. Thank you! A credit to Subway

Fast service and never had a problem when ordering

Sorry to say this, but this shop has gone downhill in the past few months and, to top it off I got food poisoning last week... I'm Vegetarian, how could this happen? Cross contamination, the man behind the counter didn't change his gloves for a vegetarian order. I was using it regularly but some staff changes have resulted in very poor service and quality of food! 😡

Looks so neet and clean staff Mel and Lucas were so sweet and nice and payed of half our meal when we couldn't afford it all also took a short amount of time and we're very patient with us when we couldn't decide what we wanted.

Great place for subway! The outlet is spacious and owners are very friendly and accommodative. I got the best customised veggie delight sandwich I have ever had. Highly recommended place.

Staff was very good cooperative.... friendly nature

Usually come on a wednesday and the ladys behind the counter are lovely, quick and efficient. But today( a saturday) it took AGES for my parteners sandwich even though we ordered one after the other and he started preparing the next customers before my partners. One of the men had a long frizzy beard down to his chest and didnt have a hair net so when he bent down to the salad his beard was touching the counter and probably the food. But they seemed friendly enough

Perfect Subway branch ever. This is by far the best branch ever visited in last 15 years. Staff were wonder especially Navan (Owner) made our day by listening to our needs and made a customised Sub for my family. This was an excellent example of Premium service. Well done guys. Footlong churro and footlong wrap dipper was too good to resist! Navan and Raj - you two are so polite, friendly and have made us the best footlongs and subway snacks we’ve ever had. You both were the most helpful, informative and friendliest people that I’ve had the pleasure of being served by in a long time. 10/10

I hadn't had a Subway for about 15 years but, after it got reopened in June, I thought I'd give it a go... I was happily surprised. The staff in this shop are super welcoming and genuinely want to help deliver the best and will tailor the sandwich whichever way you want it. I now go in every Thursday. For vegetarians I genuinely recommend the Plant Picante.

one of the cleaner fast food places! there are a lot of different deals that you can redeem to get a cheaper deal here as well. i love the chicken baguettes!

Hadn't had a subway for a long time decided to try it as I was passing by. I ordered a chicken tikka wrap the chicken had no taste the staff were friendly enough I don't think I will go there again total waste of money

Visited 1800 hrs, Tuesday 17th August. Staff were finishing a deep clean of area. Thoroughly cleaned. Staff personable and helpful. Food fresh and well prepared as usual. Definitely one of the better Subways. M.A.R. Update 18/4/2024 Visited about 5.50pm 17/4/24. The serving staff member helped with a suggestion regarding the bread to have with my choice of filling which was spot on. Also kept salsa separate with nacho order as only one of us wanted chilli & salsa. The staff member was a credit to the company. M.A.R. Update 13/6/2024 Visit 1800 hrs, with Wife, Re opened after power problems lasting some weeks. New owner? & staff very enthusiastic and helpful & cheerful ( yes, on a very wet day on the island). Enjoyed food on the premises and left uplifted. Wish them success in their venture. M.A.R.

The service was great and the facilities are ok but I found a hair in my food, it was stuck and I believe it was baked into the bread

A great 5 star subway. Despite a little incident where the nacho chicken bites was handed to a delivery driver rather than sitting in, they remade the chicken bites and gave me a cookie as an apology . Great staff and plenty of places to sit down. This was back in May 2023 during my holiday.

First time visiting here. Love their services and Awesome staff, they were super busy but we were like 12 people and 2 kids, they handle us like professionals. Super polite and friendly. Love it

Worst food in Newport... if I could give this a 0 I would give this a -5. Stone cold (asked for toasted), the wedges were literally cooked for about 30 seconds with a bit of pepper on top and my drink (pepsi) was 10x warmer than my food. Absolute dive of a place. Rip off n all.

Worst meal ive ever had, when I left half of my meal for later it turned into slope, disgusting, the meal was a mess, I will be putting in a complaint, we had a 12 inch one and it was the same thickness as a banana,if you saw what happened to my meal it would make you feel sick, it needs closing down

This subway is a very good option for vegetarian and non veg food lovers. It's easily accessible by walk from the Newport bus station (which is the only central location for many buses 🚌 of isle of wight pass through). It's on a street away from the main road and may not be visible like others (Burger King in near by shopping mall or Mc Donald is on the main road) in that area. The service is good and the options are all available as like other places even this place(isle of wight) have limited foot fall compared to mainland branches. Parking for the subway is need to be checked. Good meal options and I loved my lunch Thank you Subway & Team

My first ever subway. Very relaxing and calm atmosphere when having your breakfast. Food was great and service was excellent 🙂

Missing items from my order, no one answers the phone, no email address or way to complain if something is wrong. No refund for missing drinks. Crisps also wrong said sunbites which are corn crisps received sentations which are potato crisps.

Went in and asked if they had meatballs they said yes so told them what bread and wanted and that I'd like it with cheese and toasted and meatballs told them the sauce I wanted, to get home to find they hadn't out any meatballs in not very happy at all

First time I've been in to a subway for a few years. Menu was better and the service good as before.

We popped in for a sub as we were hungry and hadn’t had one for a while, we found it nice the staff were friendly and helpful BUT their was a sign outside saying under new management so hopefully it continues to improve. All the staff were excellent and the food was good and tasty.

Subway, Newport, Isle of Wight. I explained allergies. The first assistant changed his gloves instantly, and fetched gluten free bread. I had to ask the second assistant twice to change her gloves and use fresh salad. As usual, the salad in tubs was cross-contaminated with onions and bits of other products. My sandwich was really dry: that bread is not pleasant. My husband described his sandwich as 'bland'. It's not their fault that this branch is dark and not at all cheerful; but the staff aren't either - not even a smile. It was definitely our first and last visit to this branch.

Terrible services waited over 2 hours for a delivery for my daughters birthday. I decide to drive and pick it up but they had shut LOCKED the door aT 8.15pm and chatting in the back even though they are open until 9pm.

A huge joke. It was my sisters birthday and my dad ordered from subway at 7pm. At 8.20pm he decided to go down to subway which stated on the door that they closed at 9. He was refused service and he was not even allowed into the establish to have a Conversation. Everything was already turned off and the staff were simply talking amongst themselves. An absolute disgrace and rude on a what was supposed to be happy day.

Dirty tables, meat in with salad cross contamination, drinks machine out of order on most drinks, staff more bothered about what there doing later than serving.

Extremely dirty restaurant, 3 members of staff standing talking, not smiling or welcoming the customers , all tables are empty and dirty , fridge where they put salad is dirty and food cramps is everywhere.

Food is great, Staff not friendly, tables and chairs is really dirty mall the staff members seating on the counter on there phones Seems the don’t like what they are doing.

Took quite a long time for the only one person in front of me. Quite dirty and not great food as the pizza type thing all the cheese was separated from the tomato sauce

Street parking with pay meters around and a car park Short walk away. Clean inside, I mean it's a subway.

We love Subway and use the restaurant near us regularly, but this was without a doubt the dirtiest Subway ever. The WC was appalling. There was no loo roll. The toilet was stained dark brown. The sink was covered in dusty old soap stains. The floor hadn't been cleaned for months. It stank. The bin was full of face masks, I suspect from months ago. The hand dryer didn't work. The staff lounged around on phones at a table right outside the door to the loo, but no-one thought to clean it. I'd be furious if any of my staff cared so little. Once I went to the loo, I seriously questioned the hygiene of the food we had just ordered.

The Food and Service plus the staff were brilliant but the toilet in there was disgusting 🤢 the toilet was stained and the seat was broken plus there was tissue everywhere

Great place great food that you create yourself,

When ordering you Never get the order right, and you never recieve the extra bits like crisps, drinks, nacho's. You only recieve the sub itself, this has happened on 3 different apps and the reciept always has what you ordered but not the items itself, its not the apps its whoever is working that shift, to top it all off the number to call does not even exist just a way out of dealing with anyone they screw up with. Wouldnt even give it 1 star but im forced to, same with ryde subway too

Good food / Good staff and catered for allergies

It's Subway, you pick a roll, they fill it with many many options that you can pick from the counter. I did use their app, which I'm thankful for as there was a long queue. The collection was so much more convenient. They only had meat free meatballs for a marinara sub which was disappointing, had to have chicken.

Wanted tea but the machine is broken. Staff member reece was lovely though.

An excellent subway with take out or eat in. They have a delivery service now but not sure of the delivery area covered at the time of writing. They also are part of the eat out to help out scheme. Excellent choice of food choices and salad bowls offered. Staff are friendly and helpful.

This particular subway had a bad reputation, but it was taken over by a new franchise owner who has transformed the place .It is now clean and tidy with friendly staff .It has the usual subway menu ,just the job spot on

I regularly eat in here and have never received anything less than brilliant service. The staff are friendly and unfailingly polite, sometimes in the face of aggressive and rude customers who think they can intimidate the single member of staff who opens for breakfast. Yesterday I witnessed one of the best examples of polite customer service and personal restraint by Drew. He was verbally abused by people seemingly unfamiliar with Subway and incapable of reading the deal offers on display. Drew, despite prolonged provocation, remained resolutely polite and helpful throughout.

It's great to have the Subway back in Newport. As far as I am aware and have noticed everyone is new and are all learning from scratch. but I can't fault them with anything, they make great tasting subs and have a great selection
