Subway in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Very polite and friendly service received by two guys at 5pm this evening did not get their names but a credit to subway.

Good vibes and great service from staff (Chris & Dan) despite me turning up 10 mins before closing.

Not impressed with the cleanliness (or lack thereof..) in this store. The customer before me walked out over the mess. I had my sandwich made but decided against salad due to the state of the salad bar. The staff member apologised to me about the "drama" but when I pointed out that he wasn't wrong, she just said that they had just had an "explosion"... I assume she meant a busy period, but that seems like no excuse for the mess. The bins on the counter were full (overflowing) and even after shoving something in, she did not change her gloves before touching my sandwich. Not impressed. (Pool, Redruth, 16:00, 16.04.25)

Got to a say it I travel all over England And the worst subway is in Truro city centre Rude staff really small portions & terrible reviews & attitude from most staff Only nice person in the Truro branch is George 5 star from me here amazing pool Subway really enjoyed my experience And a really good foot long With no questioning salad portions Keep it up team really impressive 👍🏼

It was a car crash of a venue , people waited over 20 mins to be served and the 3 members of staff were not working together at all . I know it was going to close for a refurb that weekend but that's investing I the building , an investment in the staff and the training would work better or just pop round to the bakery on the end and see how to give great customer service

Sandwich was awful next too no sauce in a meatball sub. Staff didnt seem to care, not the best subway branch, i will avoid this one in future.

Was stood in a queue for 40 minutes waiting barely moving, many people left. The toilets were stinking and filthy couldnt use them. Member of staff behind the till was very rude and other people were also complaining about this. Last visit they didn't have half the ingredients. Wouldn't recommend.

usually is good service here but today they were more concerned in keeping delivery drivers happy then paying public in front of them asked for it to be toasted looks like it was only for a few secs was unable to use the rewards app food tasted nice just cold after opening it seconds after to buying it

This Subway branch is in a prominent position with limited parking. The ordering went well, the staff were obliging and I and my two young companions got what we ordered - the food was OK so no problems there. However, the overall cleanliness of the establishment was very poor. The tables were not being wiped down and the chairs were left scattered around the dining area. The toilets/hand basins were a disgrace and clearly hadn't been cleaned for some time. Living petri dish springs to mind. Overall a neglectful and shabby attitude to hygiene and tidiness which is rather worrying.

Thoroughly enjoyed beef mexican crunch. Kids enjoyed there's too but they have basic food. Service was friendly.

Specifically asked them to toast the sandwich as its for my autistic daughter who is sensory. Didn't happen..

ordered 17:16 didn't get here till 7, the nachos are poorly portioned and horrible delivery time.

Took 2 hours to prepare 2 footlongs and a few snacks should take 30 mins max to do that unacceptable.

Food was stone cold on arrival.

The meatball marinara was cold and missing the marinara sauce, making it dry. There was little chicken tikka on the other sub, no cheese and it was also cold. We ordered two cookies and were given one greasy footlong instead that we didn’t ask for. Very disappointing.

I recently had a sandwich at this shop and was greeted by the most kind and excellent server, Sam. His expertise and artisan craftsman ship of my turkey sandwich has made me a serious subway enjoyer, I will be spending a night there weekly now! Bosh!

Awful, cold sandwich, no sauce with the footlong meatball,dry and expensive. I will not use this branch again.

We had items missing (a bottle of Sprite Zero and a cookie) plus one of our sandwiches was incorrect and we couldn’t eat it all. It only arrived on time as they kept moving the delivery time.

If it actually arrives it will be cold. Don't hold your breath

I left a note on my order that one of them come without cucumber and red onion and they both did even though the receipt came stating no cucumber and red onion printed on it.. The sub rolls were falling apart and most of the filling came out.. disapp

Seriously tasty, and the delivery driver was a legend. The map bugged out and put my address somewhere else, but he knew, and brought it right to me. I wish there was a way to tip the rider *after* the fact. I'm not going to commit to a tip before.

Food was good and arrived at a decent temperature too. I did order 9 hash browns but only received 6. I ordered cheese and pepperoni wrap which came without the dip and then no drinks arrived either. So the food that arrived was good but there was a lot missing

food was cold upon arrival as asked for toasted, and there was salad and cheese missed from the sandwich entirely. took them a whole hour and a half to start preparing and another hour to prepare it. couldn’t even eat all due to how cold it was. safe to say im no happy at all.

Has gone down hill of late, used to go in quite regularly, but not so much anymore. Staff not as friendly as they were hardly get a smile. Queued out the door sometimes and has become quite expensive. Néw menu is OK but prefer old menu

The portion in my sub is the smallest I've gotten at any subway. The footlong was not cut at all. It was raining outside and asked for a bag, got a paper bag that was useless for the weather.Not in any subway promotion at this store either.

No sweet chilli dressing, why remove the most popular dressing

No eggs available for breakwich, but no substitution allowed or discount offered, due to not being able to do it on till ?!!

I always get a Notorious BMT, they know me in there and that's great as they can start my order from the moment I open the door.

Miserable and lazy staff. There's one lady that just has a constant frown on, even when she "welcomes" you into the store. Didn't feel welcome at all. One day I went in, there was one guy cleaning the tables. I was the only customer. I was stood waiting at the counter for 15 minutes before he finally acknowledged me. The staff take very little care in making your sub. Asked for sweet corn and ended up with some sweetcorn and a handful of sweetcorn juice that soaked the sandwich. After a few bites I binned it because it was a soggy mess. Visited the store before work on the night of the 27th 6:20pm and the doors were locked when they should have been open. I don't know what it is about the Subway here as well as the McDonalds but they are so often a big let down. It is a shame because I do enjoy a Subway/McDonalds on occasion.

Absolutely shocking the lady behind till made a mistake with order we then asked to change it to wat we asked for and all we got was her being rude saying she don't care it ain't her problem ect she was rude in the shop and on the phone will never use this shop again ain't the first wont be the last

So where do i start…. Shop full of customers, only 2 people working, old lady doing the subs is slow and rude, she had 2 subs to make for someone prior to me and i was waiting for 20 mins before walking out, she persisted to answer her mobile phone whist dealing with with the customers prior…. Second young girl blanked everyone due to her sorting a delivery out…. Sorry customers in shop should come first… The floor behind the counter looked liked it had not been cleaned in days….. shocking for such a large chain….

Probably one of the best subways to have a takeaway from. Can't fault this place so far other than its location :)

Well ordered my food then I was asked if I wanted salad so I told the tattooed girl what I wanted in my sub but it seemed to much effort for her (huffing and puffing) then she asked if I wanted a drink ? Which I replied a coke plz.well it’s over there she mumbles nodding to the self serve drinks. I asked if I could have a bottle from the fridge she huffed again then slammed the bottle on the counter in a rude manner……..come on !! Sort your staff out ,,, won’t be going there again!

I ordered my food for delivery I ordered 12 cookies and none turned up , ordered a sub and it never turned up What is this place ? Why when I have payed for my food does it not turn up and why does the phone number not work ?

20 minute wait for a pair of basic baguettes, 5 people in front of me. I gave the order and was told to wait, they were doing delivery orders. 4 people behind the counter, one on the till,one on salad, one cutting rolls & one in charge of toasting! They had 2 IT guys walk in, didnt wash their hands or put on protective clothing, do they not have to at subway? When I asked if the staff were training I got told I was very rude. Its sandwiches that are pretty much ready to go, how can they get it so bad. The last time I use this branch.

It's subway so you know it's going to be what it is but this place is disgraceful. 25mins to serve 6 people, 2 members of staff serving which would be ok if one making the initial contact didn't disappear out the back after taking every order, he spent longer taking gloves off and putting them back on than actual sandwich artistry! Then when the queue including the people outside swelled to 10 people, a third person was found clattering around with trays but still not jumping in to help the guys out front!!! To be honest in previous visits the staff have been rude and offish but at least they could remember how to make a sandwich and do it fairly quickly! Only left 1 star as unable to leave less etc

Ordered food to have been given only half of what i ordered. Food was stone cold. No number to call the store and whats provided wont go through. Absolutely ridiculous service.

Clearly got the tard team today that did not want to be there. Whinging about how much longer there shift was going to be, drowned my sandwich with sauce after I asked for just a little, no clean tables and food all over the floor.

Ordered on the app for delivery both were not what we ordered wrong bread different salad inside rolls we didn't ask for, their telephone number doesn't work, delivery app people didn't want to know just under £20 wasted so don't waste your money with delivery order there give you some random stuff you didn't order . Very poor subway avoid!!!

Some items on the new preset menu look okay but only come with 1 or 2 salad items, asked if I could add salad to it and was informed I could only change out 1 of the salad items for another, can’t even have a sandwich and choose what salad you want on it without getting a “create your own” which Work out silly money

Orderd nachos with cheese and sauce n all the toppings was given a handful of dry doritos in a box nothing on thm at all and I allso order a steak salad with all the salad was given hardly any salad or steak n it was all just smashed up looked like it had been kicked around allso order a cheese and ham sandwich n it came with a couple slices off cheese and that's all over 20 quid I spent I will not b eating from u again u should be ashamed of urself pics gave been taken n uploaded 2 social media

The salad was very poor, no lettuce for a start. How can you have a salad with no lettuce. This made the salad look limo and wasn’t worth it

Generally overpriced and as of late lacking many of the ingredients, used to be good but 20 quid for two sandwiches and some soggy chips is a rip off.

I couldn't fault this place in anyway, staff are polite and they don't hang around either. Top work.

The staff are really over worked and under staffed (which is not their fault!) It's a shame as it could be a great place.

I love Subway the healthiest choice of food.

Friendly efficient staff, sorted out my freebies no problem with a smile. Other Subways I have been to locally can mean a slow and painful wait but the staff at Pool have got their skates on and do it with a smile. I will go back again :)

As I can’t seem to be able to ring you my order is awful things missing which I asked for and it’s falling apart so disappointing how do I complain to anyone when none of your numbers work I got it delivered so don’t try and blame the delivery man he didn’t make this !!!!!!

5 staff members being the counter and only 2 customers in the shop. 20 minute wait almost to get served with not even so much as an apology for the wait. Counter very poorly stocked with salad and what was there looked far from fresh.

Order today from subway I had nachos and my partner had spicy Italian the spicy Italian had no lettuce or American cheese or spicy sauce that I had Order not happy my nachos as well looked great in the picture no jalapeños at all and crips was soggy been trying to ring the restaurant to complain and can't even get through absolutely disgusted what a waste of money that was only thing thats nice is the cookies thats it

Extremely well made baguettes, very thorough and helpful staff, fast and professional. Price compared with similar breakfast from similar places was below everidge! Very clean and a cosy/friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended

My first visit today. Enjoyed the food and found staff friendly and helpful, especially the one who kindly carried a chair outside for me when I was taken a bit faint.

Staff were so friendly and willing to chat. A wide range of bread and snacks available! Generous with their toppings and sauces. Would definitely recommend subway In pool /Redruth 5 ⭐️

I left without ordering. A queue of 5-6 people isn't usually an issue in a Subway. However this branch seems to be prioritising app/deliveroo orders over the customers standing in the store. 3 counter staff served only one walk-in customer during the 10-15 minutes but made up multiple orders that were collected by delivery drivers. Order on an app if you want to buy here.

*** NO STARS*** After finding hairs in my salad box that I had taken away to eat I contacted customer services. They passed it down the line. No offer of a refund, nor replacement. Just the promise of vouchers that never arrived. They are SUB. SUB STANDARD for customer service, food hygiene right the way through to customer care. Wouldn't recommend to anyone, let alone a friend.
