nasty place, terrible service, mean server. their churro was literally hard as a rock, and the worker was very rude.

Went with friends (one from overseas) for an evening takeaway meal after a full day study. No one was at the counter for a good 5 mins despite us shouting for service. Eventually a young lady emerged from downstairs with phone in hand, offering no apology nor explanation. She proceeded to wash her hands and then rather than serving asked us to wait yet again and then disappeared downstairs. So we left with nothing but a bad taste in our mouths. Abysmal - if there was a zero rating she would have got less than that, didn't show the best of British - not good to disrespect customers so blatantly and if this is how Subway wishes to be represented then the future is bleak. Please train her in good manners, communication skills and customer service!

Small compacted shop.Had chicken salad and six inch chicken salad sandwich with cookies to finish. Two ice tea .service was a bit slow, but it was busy .placed in a good place in town.

Walked in this afternoon 03/04/23 to get some lunch, walked towards the counter and one of the women was coughing over the salad, turned round walk out, absolutely disgusting.

Dominic’s & Sean service was sublime, swift and sexy. The way he passionately placed my onions on my footlong was enough to wet the mouth. Breathtaking experience, will be going back for more very soon;)

Gave me really bad food poisoning last night after buying a sub there, knew I shouldn’t have trusted that 3* hygiene score!!

Visited here yesterday all I can say is the place needs a good scrub!!! Front counter glass was absolutely filthy. This is not a good advert for subway.!!!!!

The staff are nice, the only problem I had was there was meat mixed with the vegetables and my sandwich didn't even hold together.

Ordered through Deliveroo and it took over an hour so I went to pick it up. Brought the food back and there was mould on the bread. Like blue mould. Disgusting. Cookies were good but won’t be going back 🤢🤮

Just completely ignored what I wanted in my sandwich lol. Absolutely horrible.

I ordered via Uber eats. The food was quite bad. The sandwich tasted funny - didn’t have the sauce I requested in addition. The drink was different to the one I wanted. The nachos were soggy - as if had been made a while back.

Terrible customer service. Said I didnt want the sandwich toasted, staff ignored my request and toasted it. Ordered a meal, was told I did not order a meal so didn't get one. Sandwich wrapped terribly, looks like its been made by a child. Subway is usually so much better

Absolutely horrendous service ordered at 15:00 had not heard anything nearly 2 hours later. Rang the phone over 10 times (see picture attached) wouldn’t even bother for the sake of a soggy sandwich never again. Totally and utterly useless in all honesty!!!!!!! AVOID!!!!!!

The food was top notch and the aroma was exquisite.

I stopped going in this subway about a year ago the higene was so bad the place had a bad smell that made me run out the door and every time I walk past I look at the filthy floor and think it's a sh!t hole

Cheap and best..and of course tastes good

As a Durham University student I visit Subway regularly. Unfortunately, today I have received the worst customer service in my entire life. Martin was extremely rude and racist, making fun of my foreign accent. I am absolutely sure I got overcharged (I always go for the same item, which is a Chicken Caesar Wrap, and have never paid nearly as much for it before). As a reply to my concern, I heard back exactly 'This is what happens when you go for the most expensive stuff. Learn your lesson.' Martin was clearly in a rush, wanting to finish his shift and giving an impression like he absolutely hates his job. The wrap wasn't even made up to specifications, which I can prove with pictures. Overall, an absolutely terrible experience and I would highly recommend walking another three minutes and getting your sub from another branch.

Compared to other Subway's this is the poorest i have been to. Rushed orders, incorrect fillings, missed toppings and sandwiches finished without checking first. The actual layout of the shop is not good either. You start at the right but by the time you get to the other side to pay you're squeezed into a corner and blocked by another counter. You have to step backwards to manoeuvre. The whole thing feels quite awkward and off-putting. It certainly puts me off going. But after today's serving of tuna that tasted like it was old I'd had enough.... Doubt i will go there again.

My favourite subway out of the three in Durham. Central location, employees (especially Bailey) are very nice despite the drunken students. After the cathedral and castle, subway is the place to be.

Dirty shop poor hygiene and rude staff especially the one with bleached hair called Joe sometimes has the door locked and the lights off while having a nap wouldn't go there again in a hurry

My sub was awful worst subway I've been to bread was cooked enough chicken was just flung in I had to ask him to spread the meat out I ask for it to be double toasted which he didn't had my sandwich look as if it had been sat on it was that flat he tock his gloves off before wrapping my sandwich my drink didn't taste weight so I said to the guys I think the syrup had Run out as it didn't taste nice so he went down and changed it I asumas but I wasnt offered a replacement so was left with no drink to wash down my awful sandwich wich was the rotisserie chicken which in my eye was dry and tasteless 😞 I would not revisit this store it wasn't the cleanest of places either I had to ask for the one and only one table it has to be cleaned
