Subway in Renfrewshire

Beware the scam. Fuelled up, parked the car, went in to grab Subway. Staff were nice but slow, took 15mins to get our meals. We then sat and ate in the provided seating. Slogged with a parking ticket, apparently there's a 15 minute parking time limit. Most expensive Subway meal in the UK.

Excellent service, fresh subs, quick and friendly staff.

I hope I will not die while eating here. Staff is not changing gloves. Same gloves for cash machine, same gloves for picking up food, same gloves for touching fridges and drinks. Probably the same gloves for cleaning toilets . Is it's British hygiene standards or depends on personality 🤔

I noticed this garage had a Subway, so decided to get some lunch while I was at it using the toilet and fuelling up. Big mistake. I got a 100 quid parking fine for staying over 15 minutes! I fuelled up, went in and paid, parked in one of the spaces so I wasn't taking up a pump and then went to the toilet (there is only one so I had to wait too) and bought a sandwich. If taking more than 15 mins to do all that is the knife edge of a 100 quid fine then Subway needs to close this location. It is untenable.

The service there is unbelievably slow. Stuck behind 2 guys being served by one server which seemed to take forever plus the other server proceeded to serve people who were in the queue after me. Then I snapped and said that I was before them, and then after 20 minutes was served, I was only there for a couple sides! Would have been quicker walking all the way to the airport from the Premier Inn for something!

Ordered a tuna wrap, had to tell the server you usually get two scoops rather than one and a half. Asked for all salad and the portion was so small you could count the sweetcorn. Advised the server I usually get more salad in other sites and she replied if she put more on she couldn’t close it! Got it back and it wasn’t far off half the size you get elsewhere. Not What you expect for a sandwich costing £4.89. The are obviously under orders to cut back on the portions. Wont be back .

The bread was stale. I could have used it to hammer in a nail. First time I've ever had a issue with the quality of subway

It's a Petrol station subway so its limited to space and resources, but it does its job.

Very disappointed with the service I received today. Waited for quarter of an hour. Only 1 person in front of me. The server then ignored me and began serving the person behind me. Fortunately they pointed out I was next in line. I was asked if I wanted cheese and toasted. I said I didn't want it toasted and asked for the grated cheese. I was told grated cheese was 50p extra. Which it isn't. She then put my sandwich in the toaster. I reminded the server that I didn't want it toasted. Removed it luke warm. Asked what salad I wanted. I asked for tomatoes, onions and red peppers. I got tomatoes, lettuce and peppers. I stated I didn't ask for lettuce. The server picked it off and discarded it. Then began to wrap my sandwich. I had to interrupt them to ask if I could have just a small amount of spicy chipotle sauce. They then unwrapped my sandwich and drenched it in sauce. Following this I requested they add my loyalty points to my app. They went through the motions of scanning my app. I enquired if my points were added. I was told "Yes" but they weren't on my receipt. When I pointed this out I was told it was too late to add them. I would be very reluctant to use this franchise of Subway again.

Good service but bread was not that great

Ordered a gf tuna ,cheese salad...and foot long of same....tuna like water 3 bits lettuce and 4 bit red onion....footlong WAS NOT...foot long....whole order nightmare...worst ever......ger youre finger out disgraceful service

Orders constantly messed up! Just Order 3x White Chocolate Chip Macadamia Nut Cookies and never got them! I’d like a refund! I asked for Jalapeños and Onions on my sub, got neither! got pickles instead?? This is not the first time they’ve ripped me off! 100% don’t order from them unless you want someone else’s order.

Always a good stop for a quick lunch. Food is very consistent throughout different locations. Love their Italian bread with salami, cheese (mozzarella) and vegetables. Their 🍪 are also very good 👍. Very convenient as well.

Fast food, gave for due to the kindness of the staff today

Subs extremely dry, toasted for too long, extremely little sauce, possibly stale bread?! Staff super unmotivated, prefer to have private conversations and take their time.

Not exactly the quickest of the two, bread was in the oven too long and way too little sauce on it. The thing almost got stuck in my throat. A pity

Others have said it. Says they are open till 20.30.. but I arrived 40 minutes early and was told they are closed. Management clearly aren't sure of what is going on here.

Outdoor seating, daytime so no music or atmosphere.

Only one star as you cant give zero, sign on door says it closes at 20:30, online says it closes at 20:30, I turned up to get some food at 19:40 and the guy at the subway counter said they were closed. Poor show, had to opt for petrol station sandwich 👎👎👎

Very slow considering there was myself and just one other customer, 20 mimutes to get served. Two members of staff, one worked the other just stood there, food was good, though the member of staff didn't wrap it properly and as a result, it was messy and difficult to eat in the car. Since then I have received a parking fine of £100 for staying over 30 minutes caused by the incompetence and laziness of the staff at this place.

If you intend to eat here (there are sitdown tables), be aware that the car parking spaces in the BP petrol station are owned by euro car parks with a very miserly 15 min max period, after which you will receive a £100 parking ticket for the pleasure, even if you are just 1 minute over - if you don't like wolfing your food down while staring at your watch, especially if you are also filling up with petrol (or making other purcahses) or going to the loo (which will eat into the time allocated), go somewhere else where you can eat your food at a more leisurely pace. Yes, the owners will claim that there is clear signage (of course, you are aware but few will ever cast more than a cursory glance at the notices, expecting that a 30 min stop will not incur a fine - have you ever seen a parking limitation for such as short time anywhere else?) but this begs the question as to why there are sitdown tables there when it would be all but impossible to order, eat your food and leave withn the allocated time - the whiole scenario appears to be a way of reeling in the unwary / naive and appears to be designed purely as a money spinner.

I would give this a zero rating (and that would be favourable). Stopped here to buy fuel and some food from Subway - the kids had the temerity to eat their subs at the tables provided, only for me to receive a £100 parking ticket for going over the 15 min limit (this fine applies even if you are 1 min over and for any reason - check ouot some of the reviews elsewhere online - fines have been issued to those who only bought petrol at busy times). Yes, the owners will say there is clear signage (there is - sparse and very small) but they wilfully withold the information about the 15 min limit to customers who will clearly exceed it (i.e. sitting at the tables provided, those browsing / purchasing food and other items in the shop), not surprising given that the parking charge, although issued by Euro Car Parks, is contractual (i.e. beneficiaries include owners / BP). The entire set up appears to be a deceitful money spinner, given that the absurdly short time limit does not allow for eating in at Subway (on the seats provided), nor for purchasing other goods at busy times, or, indeed, even for petrol at very busy times (see reviews). Unless you prefer a stressful watch-staring exercise, it would be advisable to avoid this place - I certainly will and will also be avoiding other BP petrols stations too.

Obnoxious staff didn’t want to be there

What they don’t tell you is that if you have the nerve to sit in your car and eat your subway sandwich anywhere on this forecourt, the scumbag company that owns the land will send you a £100 fine. No kidding. They apparently have signs but they are very small and I certainly didn’t see them. No one at the sandwich counter mentioned this to me, which I consider to be an enormous failing in their duty of care to their customers. Their food is fine- standard subway fare, but I would advise you to avoid it as you only get 15 mins to do all your petrol filling, etc. No time to queue up for a subway if you also need to fill up or go to the bathroom.

I'm in quite often while doing airport runs. The staff are fine etc. but the only issue I have is; Every time I ask for Olives and Jhalipinoes they put like 5 on my foot long, even though I ask for loads. Often when I have asked for more, they just pick out 1 or 2 more and sit them on. If someone wants loads of something gives them loads, not just 5. Often have the same issue with sauce too.

Standard subway with friendly service in a convenient location for the airport hotels. Usually get one lunch from here when on work trips.

I was a regular here, but today definitely was a last time, it seems that staff is trying to put as less ingredients as possible even when i pay for double meat. Portions went smaller and smaller but prices went only higher

This Subway quick serve restaurant is close to the airport with easy access to the terminal. Stop in and grab a sandwich. Glasgow airport can get busy.

Be careful only 15 minutes free parking. Start counting when you drive into BP by EuroCarpark. Total RIP off, will send you £100 penalty charge over. Place OK, only parking issue made overall 3 stars.

Great staff when i was down on my luck and needed some help a young Indian man named Albert came through. I will never forget that young man back in the summer of 2017.

Normal gas station until you use the subway to eat there. We filled our tank and too lunch at the subway, so we parked our vehicle outside the gasstation. Result: because we parked longer than 20min we received a parking violation invoice of 60GBP. I am in Glasgow for work almost every month, but I will definitely not come back.

This Subway is part of the Fuel station located next to Glasgow Airport an oasis after long drive of nearly 100 miles. After freshening up o And ordering food decided to sit in. The garage forecourt used signage for vehicle parking which a reasonable time to rest enjoy your food and the facilitites offered this was a s I remember in excess of 20 minutes maybe even 4o mins. Not so the case now 15 minutes now allocated only with a grace period apparently. The food to be honest was good service excellent but the time constraints to enjoy the food and rest period are rediculous. So what turn into a reasonable meal at under £10 now cost an extra £60 ticket for over staying in the "customer parking bays" So in all £70 for Subway meal. I did appeal on the grounds as above but to no avail. To be honest I will not be back and would suggest you should avoid this forecourt and the food outlets available there. I would suggest KFC just a bit further away as parking for customers is 75 minutes. McDonald also in the same area with better parking times also Tesco's next door reasonable priced fuel also.

Ordered 3 platters for next day and was no problem. Was told could pick up as early as I wanted. Phoned an hour before due to collect and added an extra platter again this was no issue. Platters were ready for collection and I even got helped out to the car by the lovely lady serving me.

nice staff, fresh food and tasty sandwiches. Handy location inside a BP petrol station so can grab other snacks at the same time.
