A good place for the odd night out. Live music can be a bit loud if you are just looking for a place to have a catch up.

First time at the Burgh bars comedy night, great night, great acts, friendly staff, great service and reasonable prices, we will be back

Great pub, the regulars are lovely the staff lovely

We have went here 4 times and twice they didn't have the drink we wanted because the staff can't change a barrel my god if they can't they shouldn't be there and their attitude is terrible 😡

We've just moved to the area and this is our new "local" We were so impressed with the blonde lady whose name we should've asked for; she was very friendly, helpful and remembered our order including me not wanting ice. According to my fiancé the pint was perfect. We'll be back soon and regularly.

Very friendly service. Was only in the function suite, which was adequate enough - a wee bit dark for my taste.

Stopped here for drink as we were eating nearby, we asked for a whisky and seemed to be a bit of a polavar just to get it and took about 15 mins to get our drinks. Glasses didn't look too clean either.

A good local pub, with friendly customers and attentive bar staff. Prices are very reasonable. It also sells Mahou on tap which is quite rare to find the surrounding areas.

Function suite was a great room to see Just John and Paul in, it was a good size with attractive decor and furniture seemed new. Staff friendly and welcoming, hope to return next time the guys are on !

Oh what a day 😃 we had one of the best times at the Burgh Bar for Mother’s Day, what was delivered for the cost was just amazing, £10 and that included filed rolls, sandwiches, sausage rolls and quiche to kick off. We had the most talented Gary Barlow tribute, who I will say was the best I have ever heard, close your eyes and you’re actually there at one of his live shows. We had an internal and then had some amazing deserts, all prepared locally, just the best 😛 Would definitely recommend this venue for future events that are up and coming, and also if you have a celebration coming up the function suite is certainly one to check out 👌

This is the best place in paisley. It’s managed by a girl called Julie who goes to lengths to make sure you’re looked after. I don’t hand out 5 star reviews that often so you can value this one. Lovely people.

Great staff except blonde girl warns you 35 mins before closing I am taking your drink off you. This has happened more than once. Though very respectfully priced you don’t get food or the service like harvies down the road.

Decent old fashioned boozer with good prices

Last time (Oct 22) I was in there was a small dog running about behind the bar. Shocking. Visited again in Nov 23 and a member of staff was pouring drinks while carrying a tiny puppy. What is going on here?

Went to a Gary Barlow (Mark Walton) Tribute Night. What a night! He was great, bar staff worked their socks off but still smiled. Premises/toilets were spotless. Definitely recommend

I have visited a few times over the last 4 to 6 weeks and the staff have really been great with me you couldn’t have asked for anything better than the staff that have been there when I’ve been in thank you

Nice wee pub. Karaoke was on and my friend sang a song. Nice to be given the chance as often it's the same people week after week! Downside was that the drinks measure is 25mls. We like 35mls. Got doubles but was not enjoyable.

Had a great time here. The DJ who done my niece's 21st was fantastic. He encouraged ppl to join him to dance. Unfortunately due to the short time from arranging the party was only a few wks. So there was not as guests as expected. But the was a few of us who went into bar and had a great time with the regular customers. I will definitely be going back for karaoke night and just to have a night out with a friend or 2. The staff were very friendly and its was a great atmosphere.

Love this bar , I live locally and the service is fantastic from the girls , the grumpy old man behind the bar is to be questioned, locals are a little lets say territorial, and don't ever count on closing times they usually close early if its a week day ..save you trenching out qnd getting soaked

Love the burgh bar, I move over from Northern Ireland and made me feel so welcome. The staff have help me so much in the pass 8 years I been i have move over and have made long life friends. Should have made this review years ago. So hopefully it helps others and great craic and good.

Popped in for a couple of cheeky wee pints before I got the bus back to Glasgow from Paisley after visiting an old friend. I was delighted to see the McEwans 70/- and 80/- beers available on tap which may I add were very nice indeed. Also an array of other alcoholic beverages to choose from such as lagers, spirits, etc. Nice domed ceiling and a half decent oval shaped oak bar and pool table area. Walked by the locals drinking at the bar on way to the loo and they seemed friendly enough. However! One of the crowd must've just dropped their guts just before I passed and it almost melted my face off! I could tell by the whiff the culprit was baking 'one' and saving it until they got home. (tbh I try to avoid using pub toilets for number 2s also) Nobody at the bar seemed to bat an eye lid of the awful stench that soured the air around them . . ! They must be used to this flatulence on a daily basis. Apart from that it seems a good pub 👍

Spot of mid week lunch. Called in at the Burgh Bar as it had been years since we last visited. We were looking for a new experience; we were not disappointed. From the outside the place looks inviting and upmarket, but do not lets facade fool you. This place is in urgent need of repair and redecoration (and not just a lick of paint either). Very disappointing indeed. The food and the staff were OK, but it will be a long time before we visit again.

Good wee bar. Love the layout and the staff are all welcoming and friendly. Good place for musicians too as the have a stage space there right next to the bar. The selection of drinks is good for it and well priced

The burgh is an old paisley pub that requires new tiling at the entrances to assist older folk who find it awkward to walk over broken tiles. It also needs decorating.plus side good quality disabled toilet.

That pub is nothing more than excellent alwuas love a wee trip there. Bar staff are perfect and the drinks are perfect but what overshadows that is its a realy welcoming place.

Went here for a pub lunch with my friend and my dog. Picked it because it said that dogs were very welcome, hate to say it but they're not. Only allow dogs in on a Monday and Tuesday for some strange reason. Have to say that I think we had a lucky escape as it's very tired looking , needs a lick of paint and more and full of regulars propping up the bar. Maybe it appeals to some people but not to me.

Friendly local pub that has sports TV etc . Worth a visit & they have weekly poker games on every Monday at 7.30pm .

Never changed in years, in a+++ good way almost historic....Spotlessly Clean & the staff are very friendly, very approachable & liven the place up a bit with some nostalgic playlists, loved every second of my visit. Also from what I heard from the local punters, the Girl *(apologies never caught your name)* who is currently dealing with the food is REALLY good at it, best and freshest ingredients for a good few miles, puts even some of the local restaurants to absolute shame. We held our wedding reception in the function suite of the Burgh Bar on Saturday 2nd March 2019 and we have to say we honestly don't think we could have chosen a better venue. It was a perfect size for the number of guests we were having, they allowed us to decorate it the way we chose, the prices were amazing value for money, the food was incredible and the staff were wonderful. There aren't enough words to praise this venue highly enough. Every single one of our guests commented on how enjoyable the food was (and we had a few fussy eaters in our party) We would recommend this venue for a function We would recommend this venue for a meal.

One of the last pubs in Paisley that has regular customers good food and excellent staff occasionally very busy when a football or other occasions are on but saying that most pubs are now getting shut in Paisley so must be doing something right cheers big ears😊

Here for twenty first birthday party in the function room. Quite small bit adequate for number of people there.

Tired traditional Paisley pub, popular with regulars. Usual beers on tap. Plenty of seats and small lounge.Karaoke on Saturday.

Ruined by too many locals and their constant bickering. Staff are friendly enough and you'll get most sports on the T.V.

I have been drinking in the Burgh Bar for more than 13 years and as an English'man and Arsenal fan I love the friendship and banter and i give it back

Good about the bar: Michael the barman is a star. Could teach the rest of the bar staff how to do the job. He is very efficient, good manners. He is a credit to the pub. Prices at bar are really reasonable. Recent refurbishment is a vast improvement and hopefully the remaining bar area will also soon be improved.

Quiet and friendly staff in the afternoon don't know what its like at night time

We host the Paisley book club once a month in the burgh bar lounge area it is on the side street beside the actual bar and the staff are lovely. They always make the effort to accommodate our seating and other requests. The lentil soup is home made as are the chips. I have been previously to birthday parties and again the staff go out of their way including blowing up balloons ! Lovely wooden floors and original art work Think the people of Paisley don't realise it is there !!

Fairly average food but good value. Do a very reasonable pensioners lunch. Unfortunately very little atmosphere at lunch

First time being in this boozer I was in the function suite for family party was a reasonable price for a pint dj got the place dancing all in all good night had by all

This pub is on Glasgow road, you can get a pint for under £3 and has a pool table up the back. The staff are friendly and punters are down to earth and welcoming. I would certainly go back in to this nice wee boozer.

The lounge of the Burgh Bar. Great food and really good value. I'm always tempted back by the home made steak pie. Plenty fresh vegetables. And - doesn't happen elsewhere - fantastic REAL chips! Wine list is very reasonable. Pensioners meal - just £3.25 for 3 course. Staff are friendly. Leather sofas are comfortable. Food all day into the evening. What's not to like?!

On 15th Feb 2104 the Burgh Bar held a charity night in aid of SSAFA, it was a warm and friendly atmosphere, the band was very good, buffet was nice and would also like to extend our sincere thanks on behalf of SSAFA for all the staff who worked hard and their customers who showed a big heart and helped raise over £1000 .

Dropped in for a light lunch and a read at the papers, lovely home made burger, home made soup and a sandwich. Prompt friendly service and great value for money too!! Lovely art work decorate the walls Will definitely come back.
