Subway in Central Bedfordshire

Unfortunately after paying around £20 for a takeaway for a sandwich and a salad I was very disappointed that they were cold and didn’t have a lot of filling.

Went in this evening at 7:30pm 13/2/25 and the staff on shift was unnecessarily condescending and her attitude was very nice nasty. The subs weren’t made with care, hardly any sauce, no crispy onions in either sub even though it was requested and no communication for example “we’ve ran out of crispy onions” I waited for my order which was fine as I literally just made it online but in hindsight I should have asked her to inform me when my order was being made so I could watch her doing it. She then gives me my order and says in such a sarcastic and condescending tone “thank you so much for waiting have a lovely evening” which is fine but it’s not what she said it’s HOW she said it. Her vibe was off from the get go and she just seems like not a very nice person. Judging from the reviews I can see this isn’t her first rodeo with unnecessarily spoiling customers experience.

Have to beg the staff for enough salad in the subs. It seems the staff expects customers to pay premium price for eating just bread only, as not enough filling unless asked. Staff reacts rudely when asked to put proper filling or sauces. Prices going up for all items but service surely going downhill.

There was 3/4 people working who were all super blunt and rude. The lady said they don’t do a BLT but it’s on the board. My friend had anxiety and get to nervous to ask again. I said can you do a toasted bacon sub then put tomato and lettuce and she SAID NO? She then proceeded to made some kind of panini which we didn’t ask for but was more expensive! They were so rude it felt like that just wanted us to leave. also why is 2 salads and a sub £18 something. Don’t go here.

When we went in at around 3pm 23rd March 2024 a member of staff was eating food and chatting on her phone on a table that could seat four people. There was three of us. The only option was a small table with two chairs, we had to go and ask her - funnily enough - if we could take a chair. The table was filthy. We had to ask for it to be wiped too. Some of the food was not at it's freshest. The server was tight on portions and there was cross contamination evident so as one of us has allergies they decided against food and opted solely for a drink. This person asked for some tap water in order to take some medication and was told that they'd have to buy a cup for that! I'm pretty certain that's not quite legitimate and will be checking with the council. The staff were extremely surly and looked like they couldn't care less about the place. I'd not come here again if you paid me! What a difference to the Wigmore branch which is totally opposite - lovely staff, immaculate and light and airy. Fresh food, decent portions.

Clean, reliable and practical. Usual subway ability to mix and match fillings makes this a safe bet for suiting all fussy needs.

Food was OK. Staff struggled to communicate the menu options, and were busy making delivery orders so not really paying attention when serving which was irritating

Very poor on uber app wanted it toasted and came not toasted and rung them up and they told me to go to the store to get it toasted why would I do that if I ordered it sort it out sub way

Always good service at Subway. Thank you to the young tall gentleman who served us tonight and has done on many occasions.

Got my order wrong Staff need more training Nacho tasted like the pack had been open for a while Staff also got other orders wrong English is not the 1st language and is an issue in this store. Long ques ans slow service

Staff seem friendly enough, doesn't like there a lot of team morale but understand fast food is tough. Only real complaint is that tables weren't particularly clean, and that the one guy in charge of the 3 parts of the assembly line didn't change his gloves in between handling the bread, meat, cheese and veggies.

Went to the store yesterday. Got served by Dani. Warm service and knew all the products in detail. Well done

Terrible service, they gave me the completely wrong drink and also had peppers and tomatoes in my sandwhich which I hadn’t asked for so my whole order is wrong, you call them up and nothing is resolved. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SUBWAY

Ordered from deliveroo ... Choose to have both footlongs toasted, but they wasnt and arrived cold ... Not happy ... But then again I shouldn't be surprised with it being in Dunstable ... No care or pride in preparing peoples food!!

Cold had hardly anything to choose from filling wise had it toasted with extra cheese and it was still cold would have made it better myself

I visited the store today in the evening at around 7 with my son, he loved the sandwich the man made for him. Customer service is very warm. Will visit again. The BMT and meatballs are a must try.

Poor customer service, very rude staff, not satisfied with an order, always feel insulting with behavior of staff members. They have no manner how to deal with customers and how to help them with their order. Staff goes personally with customers when they are not ready to make proper order for them.

Staff rude and don't listen to your order. Bread stale, awful experience never again.

Good little spot always go with the lads from sixth form at break. Nice rolls and fresh food.

The stuff are always friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend there as I prefer the cheesy pepperoni which is so nice and well done :)

My goto local subway. Just a shame they don't toast their breads quite as much as elsewhere so for that I'm knocking a star off.

Poor subway hash brown was stone cold also wrong order. Nachos was cold and dry garlic bread was stone cold. £40 down the drain. Subway way needs to get it self back to British standards

Well it's Subway, what more can you say regarding the food apart from amazing. But the shop itself is on the small side so not much room for eating in, if you want parking you are better off to park either on Albion Street which is free for 1 hour but can get busy or there is Matthew Street car park which is reasonably priced, you can download an app called "Just Park" and parking is cheaper that way.

Been here twice in the last month. Very slow service the first time and both times the coffee machine was out if order.

Good fresh sandwiches. Friendly and helpful staff. Shame they don't supply a high chair.

I have to say that this subway i was discussed with, when it came to the salad bar for young man to put salad in roll, the boss man was watching him right over his shoulder like a hawk. I asked for some spinach leafs & the young man picked some up & placed into my roll, then the boss said to him “take some off” & young man the took some off & threw it away. My husband said to boss man “why did you tell him to take some off,”he said”it’s to much”. So my husband said” so you would rather throw food away than rather give just a little bit extra to your customers, that’s disgusting”. I don’t know how other subways are but this one was tight with their fillings, our rolls was flat as a pancake definitely not worth £8.18 for 2 meal deals that’s for sure.

It was nice place to get a cheap lunch and subway is anyways a good standard. Only bad thing is unless your eating on the go it is very difficult to get a table during the mid afternoon. Other than that I suggest it more than most places in the local area.

Very helpful staff. Nice choice of rolls and fillings. Nice choice of drinks. A few seating available. This store is more suitable for a takeaway although you can eat inside when available and not too busy. Very low step so nice for disabled to enter and exit, main door a little heavy though. Really enjoy my subway rolls knowing they agree freshly prepared gives you peace of mind. Had trouble registering my subway card but finally got out registered so looking forward to next time and getting points. Have also downloaded their app Prices for the rolls are good. Fully recommend

Convenient location for this franchise, Dunstable high street with space for very short time parking (used mainly by taxis and cabs) This store is open til late approx 4am and is handy. Nice staff serving at the time of visit and would come back again soon. The food was nice and shop was quiet.
